Sabah is reopening soon, with inter-district and interstate travel allowed!
Here is what you need to know about the new travel requirements for Sabah!
Sabah To Allow Interstate + Inter-District Travel
Now that Sabah has achieved 70% vaccination of its population, it is getting ready to reopen :
- Inter-district travel will be ALLOWED starting Thursday, 14 October 2021
- Interstate travel will be ALLOWED starting Monday, 1 November 2021
Here Are The New Travel Requirements For Sabah
Inter-District Travel (From 14 October)
Inter-district travel is only ALLOWED for these individuals :
- Fully-vaccinated adults
- Adolescents 12 to 18 years who have received at least one COVID-19 vaccine dose
- Children below 12 years when accompanied by fully-vaccinated parents
Interstate Travel (From 1 November)
Interstate travel is only ALLOWED for these individuals :
- Fully-vaccinated adults
- Adolescents 12 to 18 years who have received at least one COVID-19 vaccine dose
- Children below 12 years when accompanied by fully-vaccinated parents
In addition, travellers must undergo a COVID screening test within 3 days before travel date :
- either RT-PCR test, or
- RTK-Ag test (swab / saliva)
