Claim : Russia Just Destroyed NATO Jets + Helicopters In Ukraine!

People are sharing a video created by the Chinese 50 Cent Army (wumao, 五毛), which claim to be evidence of NATO jet fighters and helicopters being shot down by Russia while trying to help Ukraine.

The video has an overlay that says, “Only China has the privilege to watch the live video, not even the western countries and the world.“, and it is accompanied by this message :

☝️Nato sent their jet fighter & Helicopter to help Ukraine, as soon as they entered the border, they were attacked by the Russian missile. not a single one escaped. only the Chinese media reported that news, non in the West.
☝️Nato 战机jet fighter & Helicopter 去幇助鸟克兰一进入边畍就被俄羅斯飞彈打的一个都跑不掉, 只有中國媒體才能報導西方沒有。

Truth : Russia Did Not Destroy NATO Jets + Helicopters In Ukraine!

This is yet another example of FAKE NEWS created by Chinese 50 Cent Army (wumao, 五毛), and spread by pro-CCP and pro-Russian netizens and groups.

Fact #1 : That Video Was From A Video Game

The viral video does not show actual combat in Ukraine. It is really nothing more than a compilation of two gameplay videos from the game, ArmA 3.

ArmA 3, which is also known as ArmA III or Armed Assault 3, is an open-world, military tactical shooter game by Bohemia Interactive.

The first half of the video was cropped from an ArmA 3 video called “Combat Helicopter shot down by Missile – 4 Tanks Blown Up – Milsim – ArmA 3” – from 0:11 to 2:08, cutting off just before the videos says “Subscribe for more!“.

Recommended : Did Mossad Just Admit NATO Is Losing Ukraine War?!

Fact #2 : The Original Video Is Blocked In China

Ironically, the original ArmA 3 gameplay videos that the viral fake video used are hosted on YouTube, which is blocked in China.

So the overlay claiming that “only China has the privilege to watch the live video” is not only false, it is a sad reminder of the censorship in China.

The truth is – only people in China have the “privilege” of being lied to using a fake video that is easily available to the rest of the world.

Fact #3 : That Was A Russian Helicopter

We can’t tell what anti-aircraft missiles were fired at the beginning of the video, but we can easily see that they were fired at a Russian helicopter.

Anyone who watched a Rambo movie or two would easily recognise the distinctive shape of the Soviet Union’s “flying tank” – the Mil Mi-24 helicopter, which is also known as Mi-25 or Mi-35. Whatever may be the case, that was not a Western helicopter!

Recommended : Are Nazis From Japan Fighting For Ukraine?!

Fact #4 : That Was A Russian Tank

At around 1:00 of the video, it zooms in into a tank before it is destroyed by a missile.

The tank profile is also easily recognisable as a Russian tank, most likely the T-80 main battle tank.

For certain, that is not the side profile of any Western tank in existence!

Recommended : Does Video Show F-22 Shooting China Spy Balloon?!

Fact #5 : That Was An American TOW Missile

At around the 1:44 mark in the fake video, you can see that the soldier and the missile launcher that destroyed one of the tanks.

That is the M220 launcher for the American TOW BGM-71E anti-tank missile, not a Russian missile launcher.

In other words – the video does not show Russian forces destroying NATO tanks and helicopters. It actually shows US forces in the ArmA 3 game shooting down Russian tanks and helicopters.

Here is a comparison of the screenshot (left) and the frontal aspect of the same TOW missile launcher in the ArmA 3 game.

Recommended : Did Russia Destroy NATO Arms Convoy To Ukraine?!

Fact #6 : There Are No NATO Forces In Ukraine

NATO Allied Land Command confirmed that “there are no NATO forces or leaders in Ukraine in any capacity“.

While NATO nations are sending financial and military aid to Ukraine, no NATO soldiers or leaders are deployed to the country.

So the claim that NATO sent jets and helicopters to help Ukraine fight off the Russian invasion is false.

Fact #7 : NATO Refused To Send Aircraft Into Ukraine

NATO also repeatedly refused to create a No-Fly Zone over Ukraine, despite President Volodymyr Zelenskyy pleading for one.

That’s partly because the anti-aircraft missiles NATO countries supplied have successfully prevented Russia from achieving any kind of air superiority in Ukraine.

NATO has also publicly stated that they want to avoid a direct confrontation with Russia, which could lead to a continent-wide conflict.

That is also why they refused to send Ukraine jet fighters to replace those destroyed by Russian attacks.

The claim that NATO is sending jet fighters and helicopters to help Ukraine is bullshit.

Ukraine : 60K Russian Soldiers + 2.4K Tanks Killed!

The Ukrainian Army claimed over 60,000 Russian soldiers have been killed, together with over 2,400 tanks, as it liberates even more territory in Kherson!

The retreat of the Russian army in multiple areas of Ukraine has even made it difficult for the Kremlin to decide on the exact borders of the regions it annexed!

Ukraine : 60K Russian Soldiers + 2.4K Tanks Killed!

On Tuesday, October 4 2022, the Ukrainian Army (UA) announced that its forces destroyed forty four Russian tanks and 27 armoured vehicles, and killed another 370 Russian soldiers in a single day.

This brings the total of Russian dead to almost 61,000, with over 2,400 tanks and over 5,000 armoured combat vehicles destroyed in just 7 months of the war.

More importantly, Ukraine was making slow but noticeable headway on the southern front, taking the villages of Zolota Balka and Myrolyubivka in the Kherson region on the same day.

While these successes may not seem as significant as their lightning advance in Donetsk, the pressure they put in the south are preventing Russia from diverting significant forces to reinforce its retreating forces in eastern Ukraine.

Moscow In Trouble Over Losing Territory It Annexed In Ukraine

Due to the continuous retreat of the Russian army, it has become difficult for the Kremlin to define the borders of the regions it officially annexed on Friday, September 30.

On Monday, October 3, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Moscow will “continue consulting” with the local populations before establishing the borders of its annexed territories.

That’s because the annexed territories be considered part of Russia, and it would be disastrous psychologically to lose any Russian territory to the Ukrainian Army.

This announcement came after Russia was forced to pull back its forces from Lyman – its critical eastern logistics hub.

Ukrainian soldier throwing away the Donetsk Republic flag in Lyman.

Just one day after Russian President Vladimir Putin signed documents claiming to annex Lyman, thousands of Russian soldiers trapped there fled the city, forcing the Russian Ministry of Defence to admit that its forces had “withdrawn to more advantageous lines“.

The next day, on Sunday, October 2, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that Lyman was fully cleared of Russian forces.

Ukrainian forces pushed into the Luhansk region a day later, heading towards Lysychansk – the last Ukrainian city to holdout in that oblast (province) before the its capture in July.

As long as Ukrainian forces continue to keep Russian forces in retreat, the Kremlin will find itself between the rock and a hard place in annexing the four oblasts it claims.

Any annexed territory that is captured will not only be seen as a liberation of stolen lands by the Ukrainians, it will be seen as a loss of Russian territory and face by supporters of Vladimir Putin and his disastrous invasion of Ukraine.

Eurovision: Did Polish Presenter Give Nazi Salute To Ukraine?!

Did Polish presenter Ida Nowakowska give a Nazi salute to Ukraine at Eurovision 2022?!

Take a look at the viral claim, and find out what the facts really are!

Claim : Polish Presenter Gave Nazi Salute To Ukraine @ Eurovision!

People are sharing a video clip or screenshots that appears to show Polish presenter Ida Nowakowska giving a Nazi salute after announcing that Ukraine won 12 points from Poland!

The video clip is being shared on Twitter, Facebook, WhatsApp and Telegram with messages like this :

🇵🇱Poland’s representative at Eurovision made a Nazi gesture and shouted the Nazi salute at the end of his political speech

Ukraine wins Eurovision then they throw a Sig Heil Nazi salute on global television
Yes this really happened. I keep telling you all UKRAINE HAS A HUGE NAZI PROBLEM
Last year over 100,000 soccer (football) fans in Kiev did the Sig Heil and waved Nazi flags
Keep being brainwashed

Truth : Polish Presenter Did NOT Give Nazi Salute To Ukraine @ Eurovision!

The truth is – this is yet more FAKE NEWS created by Russia or pro-Russia netizens, and here are the reasons why…

Fact #1 : Invasion Of Poland Started World War 2

First, let me point out that it was the invasion of Poland by both Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union on 1 September 1939 that started World War 2.

Approximately 6 million Polish citizens – over 20% of its population – died during the occupation by Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union, including 3 million Jews.

So it would be ridiculous for a Polish presenter to give a Nazi salute.

If she really did so, you can be assured that it would have been extensively covered in the world’s media.

You won’t see anyone mention this because it never happened.

Fact #2 : Ida Nowakowska Was Giving A Victory Sign

The screenshots that appear to show Ida Nowakowska giving the Nazi Seig Heil salute were intentionally chosen to mislead you.

If you watch the video clip, you will see that she was really giving a victory sign, while saying, Slava Ukraini!

This is no different from what countless people do when celebrating a victory, like Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Conclusion – Nowakowska was giving a victory salute to Ukraine, not a Nazi salute.

Fact #3 : There Are Neo-Nazis All Over The World

The truth is – many countries have neo-Nazis. That includes Ukraine. However, what is untrue are the claims that Ukraine is full of Nazis. Very few people in Ukraine are Nazis, or neo-Nazis.

It is true that some Ukrainian football fans unfurled a Nazi flag and did the Sieg Heil salute in Kiev during Euro 2012. However, they were a small but highly-visible minority.

Ukraine has a neo-Nazi political party called Svoboda, but it only garnered 2.15% of the popular vote in the 2019 election results.

Even the neo-Nazi Azov battalion was small, even after it was absorbed into the Ukrainian National Guard and expanded into a regiment. Only 10% to 20% of its members identify themselves as Nazis.

Not even Russia, which suffered greatly in World War 2, is spared from neo-Nazi influence. On 12 April 2022, Artem Severiukhin – a 15-year old Russian karting champion gave a Nazi salute at the European Championship in Portugal.

Many pro-Russian and pro-CCP netizens are sharing the video and false claim on WhatsApp, Telegram, Twitter and Facebook.

Did Kalush Orchestra Give Nazi Salute At Eurovision 2022?!

Did the Ukrainian rap group Kalush Orchestra give a Nazi salute after winning Eurovision 2022?!

Take a look at the viral claim, and find out what the facts really are!

Claim : Kalush Orchestra Gave Nazi Salute At Eurovision 2022!

People are sharing a video clip that purportedly shows Kalush Orchestra rapper Oleg Psiuk giving a Nazi salute after winning Eurovision 2022!

The video clip shows a 3-second segment of Kalush Orchestra founder Oleg Psiuk holding up his hand as he left the stage, with such comments :

#Eurovision winner, Kalush Orchestra, was caught on camera doing what appears to be the Nazi salute.

#ESC2022 #Eurovision2022

Apparently one of the members of the 🇺🇦 Music Group Kalush Orchestra did make a Nazi salute as they left the stage at the Eurovision 2022.

🇺🇦 #KalushOrchestra #Stefania

Truth : Kalush Orchestra Did NOT Give Nazi Salute At Eurovision 2022!

The truth is – this is yet more FAKE NEWS created by Russia or pro-Russia netizens, and here are the reasons why…

Fact #1 : Vast Majority Of Ukrainians Are Not Nazis

First, let me address the Russian disinformation campaign that attempts to paint Ukraine as a country of Nazis.

Ukraine was one of the countries in the Soviet Union that was invaded and conquered by Nazi Germany when they launched Operation Barbarossa.

It was estimated that about 5.2 million Ukrainian civilians lost their lives in World War 2, some of which were relatives of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Zelenskyy is also Jewish, which makes Russia’s claim even more preposterous – over a million Ukrainian Jews were murdered during the German occupation.

Yes, Ukraine has a neo-Nazi political party called Svoboda, but it only garnered 2.15% of the popular vote in the 2019 election results.

Even the neo-Nazi Azov battalion was small, even after it was absorbed into the Ukrainian National Guard and expanded into a regiment. Only 10% to 20% of its members identify themselves as Nazis.

Ultimately – the vast majority of Ukrainians are not Nazis, despite what Russia claims.

Fact #2 : Oleg Psiuk Was Waving, Not Giving Nazi Salute

While the camera angle appears to show Oleg Psiuk hold up his hand, he was not giving a Nazi salute.

A video from a different angle showed that his arm was bent at the elbow, and his fingers were splayed out.

Conclusion – Psiuk was waving to the crowd, not giving a Nazi salute.

Many pro-Russian and pro-CCP netizens are sharing the video and false claim on WhatsApp, Telegram, Twitter and Facebook.

Secret NATO Headquarters Under Azovstal Exposed?!

Does NATO have a secret headquarters under the Azovstal plant in Ukraine, where they produce biological weapons?!

Take a look at the viral claim, and find out what the facts really are!

Claim : Secret NATO Headquarters Under Azovstal Exposed!

People are sharing schematics of a secret NATO headquarters under the Azovstal plant, where they claim biological weapons are being produced in Ukraine.

It was actively promoted by Russian political scientist, Sergei Markov, Russia Today, and several Italian TV channels including PiazzaPulita on La7 and Rai 1, as well as the Chinese 50 Cent Army (wumao, 五毛).

Online posts often included this long story, which is rather long, so feel free to skip to the next section for the facts.

What is the secret of Azovstal? In Mariupel there is a secret building with a depth of 30 m underground and on multiple floors.

This building is located under the Azovstal plant, which includes the secret headquarters of the North Atlantic, with the code number (pit_404). For the production of biological weapons, within a highly fortified and protected system, in which 240 foreign scientists of different nationalities are present.

Truth : There Is No Secret NATO Headquarters Under Azovstal!

This is yet another example of FAKE NEWS created and shared by not only pro-Russia activists, but also the Chinese 50 Cent Army (wumao, 五毛).

Here are the facts behind the two viral schematics, and why this is just fake news…

Fact #1 : Azovstal Plant Complex Was Created By Soviet Union

The massive Azovstal plant complex was created in the 1930s, as a priority construction project by the Soviet Union.

They spent 292 million rubles to create the massive steel plant complex that would be capable of producing 4 million tons of pig iron a year.

That target was partly demanded by Soviet leaders to beat the Americans whose Gary steel plant was “only” capable of smelting 3 million tons a year.

Fact #2 : Azovstal Bunkers Were Built By Soviet Union

The fake news creators used this infographic from the Daily Mail UK as “evidence” that the Azovstal tunnels were created by NATO.

Ironically, the infographic specifically pointed out that the bunkers and tunnels under the Azovstal plant complex were built by the Soviet Union, to “safeguard the steel plant’s 40,000 workers in the event of a nuclear attack”.

These bunkers and tunnels were built many decades earlier by the Soviet Union, not NATO.

Credit : Daily Mail UK

Fact #3 : No Evidence Of NATO Facility Called PIT-404

There is no evidence of any NATO facility called PIT-404 ever existed.

The fabulous fact checkers at MythDetector.ge did a great job of tracing the origin of this PIT-404 claim to an April 4, 2022 post in the Russian forum, strategium.ru.

In that post, a user called sojnyshkotanya claimed that there is a bio-laboratory under Azovstal, and mentioned PIT several times in reference to Azovstal.

sojnyshkotanya also noted that the best route for the evacuation of Western officials from that facility is from Mariupol to Samsun – a distance of 404 miles.

That was the most likely origin of the name and story of the mysterious PIT-404 underground NATO facility that produces biological weapons.

Fact #4 : PIT-404 Schematic Was From A Board Game!

The image that people are sharing as the PIT-404 NATO facility schematic was actually taken from a board game called Blackout: Journey into Darkness by Richard T. Boardwater.

This board game was pitched on Kickstarter in 2016 as a game for 1-4 people who try to survive in a post-apocalyptic world dominated by monsters, where humans now have to survive in bunkers.

You can see its bunker graphic under the Beneath The Surface section of their Kickstarter pitch), with the following description :

Beneath the crumbling cities, a vast network of subterranean pathways exists. These vast underground chambers are vital to the Brood’s survival. With these tunnels, The Brood emerged to feed on mankind after the great fall. It is these same tunnels they continue to thrive unmolested. Many of the nomadic Unification kill teams have attempted to cleanse these zones but all have been unsuccessful, for the network beneath the surface is vast.

Doesn’t sound like a NATO facility, does it?

The game ultimately didn’t achieve its fundraising goal and was not greenlit, but its bunker design has now found everlasting fame as the (non-existent) PIT-404 NATO facility in the fevered dreams of Russian and Chinese conspiracy theorists.

Fact #5 : PiazzaPulita Admitted Their Mistake

On 22 April 2022, PiazzaPulita admitted that they were wrong to claim that the Blackout bunker schematic was of the Azovstal steel factory bunkers.

As far as I can tell, Sergei Markov – the Russian political scientist and former Putin advisor – has yet to admit his mistake

Fact #6 : Metabiota Is Not Owned By Hunter Biden Or Volodymyr Zelenskyy

The fake story claimed that “this headquarters is run by the Metabiota Corporation of Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, and his direct partner, Volodymyr Zelensky“. That’s utter nonsense.

Metabiota is a private company owned by 21 venture capitalist companies, one of which is Rosemont Seneca Technology Partners – a private equity firm partly owned by Hunter Biden.

So no, Metabiota is not owned by Hunter Biden. Neither is it owned by Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

The fact that the fake news creators got the name Volodymyr wrong, suggests that they are not Russian. Quite likely, this fake news was created by the Chinese 50 Cent Army (wumao, 五毛).

Fact #7 : French General Eric Vidaud Failed To Predict Russian Invasion

French General Eric Vidaud was fired at the end of March 2022 for failing to predict Russia’s invasion of Ukraine – in sharp contrast with other Western Allies.

Vidaud, who led the Directorate of Military Intelligence (DRM) was asked to step down, after an internal defence ministry investigation criticised “insufficient briefings” and “failure to master the issues”.

The fact that the fake news creators got the name Vidaud wrong, suggests that they are not Russian. Quite likely, this fake news was created by the Chinese 50 Cent Army (wumao, 五毛).

Left : Gen. Eric Vidaud | Right : Lt. Gen. Roger L. Cloutier

Fact #8 : US General Roger Cloutier Jr. Was Not Captured

US Lieutenant General Roger L. Cloutier Jr. was not shot down in his helicopter, and captured by Russian forces in Mariupol.

A NATO spokesperson, Brian Andries said that Cloutier is currently commanding NATO Allied Land Command in Izmir, Turkey and has not been to Ukraine since July 2021.

The fact that the fake news creators got the name Cloutier wrong, suggests that they are not Russian. Quite likely, this fake news was created by the Chinese 50 Cent Army (wumao, 五毛).

Variants of this FAKE NEWS are now being shared in pro-Russia and pro-CCP websites.

Is This Zelenskyy Before He Became President Of Ukraine?!

Take a look at the viral video of Volodymyr Zelenskyy before he became President of Ukraine, and find out what the facts really are!

Claim : This Is Zelenskyy Before He Became President Of Ukraine!

People are sharing a video allegedly of Volodymyr Zelenskyy performing on stage, before he became President of Ukraine.

The video has the overlay “The comedian before he became the Ukrainian president“, and showed him ogling the breasts of several women, while he sang.

Truth : This Is Not President Of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy!

Ever since Russia invaded Ukraine, social media and WhatsApp groups have been inundated with fake news and videos involving those two countries.

This is yet another example of pro-Russia and anti-Ukraine fake news that people are intentionally / ignorantly sharing, and here are the reasons why…

Fact #1 : He Is Vasyl Humenyuk, Not Volodymyr Zelenskyy

When I first saw the video, I could immediately see that the man was not Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Identifying the man though took some effort, but I was finally able to identify him as Vasyl Humenyuk (Facebook page).

Fact #2 : Vasyl Humenyuk Is Like Volodymyr Zelenskyy, But Not Him

Vasyl Humenyuk is a Ukrainian comedian and politician like Volodymyr Zelenskyy. In fact, he ran for the Ukrainian Parliamentary elections under the Zelenskyy’s Servant of the People party, but lost.

He was later appointed to head the Yarmolynets District State Administration by Zelenskyy in February 2020.

Except for the fact that they are white males, they don’t really look alike… but just in case, here’s a comparison of the two man.

Fact #3 : It Was A Satirical Comedy Song

Vasyl Humenyuk is a member of the Vinnytsia team in the comedy show, League of Laughter.

The video was a clip of him singing his signature song, “Maiden’s Eyes” in the 2017 League of Laughter.

The song satirises men’s obsession with breasts, calling them “maiden’s eyes” which are what men should really be looking at.

Please watch out for the surge of pro-Russia and anti-Ukraine propaganda like this video.
