People are sharing TikTok and YouTube videos which claim to show Celine Dion attending her son’s wedding in a wheelchair, after being diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome.

It’s just so heart breaking to watch !!

Singer Celine Dion attending her son’s wedding, she was diagnosed with a rare neurological condition known as stiff-person syndrome.

Truth : Celine Dion Did Not Attend Her Son’s Wedding In A Wheelchair!

This is yet another example of FAKE NEWS created to go viral on TikTok and other social media platforms, and here are the reasons why…

Fact #1 : Celine Dion Revealed Her Diagnosis In December 2022

First, let’s start with a quick recap on Celine Dion’s recent health problems.

Celine Dion (born Céline Marie Claudette Dion on 30 March, 1968) announced in an emotional video on 8 December 2022, that she had been struggling with health issues for a long time.

She did not mention how long ago she started experiencing muscle spasms, but they became so “severe and persistent” that on 19 October 2021, she delayed her Las Vegas residency. Then on 15 January 2022, she was forced to cancel the US and Canadian concerts from 9 March to 22 April 2022.

It was only recently that the muscle spasms Celine Dion was suffering from was diagnosed as Stiff Person Syndrome (SPS) – a rare neurological disorder with features of an autoimmune disease.

I’ve been dealing with problems with my health for a long time. And it’s been really difficult for me to face these challenges and to talk about everything that I’ve been going through.

Recently I’ve been diagnosed with a very rare neurological disorder called Stiff Person Syndrome which affects something like one-in-a-million people.

While we’re still learning about this rare condition, we now know this is what’s been causing all of the spasms I’ve been having.

Unfortunately, these spasms affect every aspect of my daily life, sometimes causing difficulties when I walk and not allowing me to use my vocal cords to sing the way I’m used to.

Fact #2 : That Was Kathy Poirier, Not Celine Dion

The lady in the wheelchair was not Celine Dion, but a 55 year-old mother called Kathy Poirier from Florida.

Kathy Poirier suffers from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), which is also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. It is a progressive nervous system disease that causes a loss of muscle control.

When her 28 year-old son, Zak Poirier, married Anja d’Adesky, 27, on 9 April 2022, she had already lost the ability to walk, and arrived in a wheelchair.

Fact #3 : Kathy Poirier Danced With Her Son

The viral TikTok video was edited to show Celine Dion (really Kathy Poirier) being lifted to hug her son who tears up, before she is placed back on her wheelchair.

In the real video, Kathy actually danced with her son on his wedding day! In his now-deleted Instagram post, Zak explained:

My Mom was diagnosed with ALS shortly before I graduated law school. Since that time, I’ve watched her bravely fight her diagnosis and challenge the odds against her.

Despite not being able to stand on her own, my Mom and I shared a dance at my wedding. She inspires me every day to be humble, kind and selfless. Love you Mom.

On that day, Zak and his two brothers escorted her to the dance floor for the mother-son dance. The three brothers then lifted her off the wheelchair.

With his brothers holding her upright, Kathy Poirier was able to dance with Zak that day. Her sons then lowered her back onto her wheelchair while their guests gave them a standing ovation.

Their wedding planner, Root to Stems also posted a video on Instagram, which went viral last year.

Fact #5 : Celine Dion Can Still Stand + Walk

Just to be clear, Celine Dion is not suffering from ALS, but from SPS – Stiff Person Syndrome.

As of April 2023, Celine Dion is able to stand and walk on her own, as well as sing and act. This is obvious from the posts (example) she made to promote her movie with Priyanka Chopra and Sam Heughan – Love Again.

Fact #6 : This Is Just Another Fake TikTok Video

Canadian pop icon Celine Dion has revealed that she has been left paralysed and suffering from a rare brain disease following the Covid-19 vaccination.

It’s now tradition for anti-vaccination activists to immediately blame all celebrity deaths or illnesses on the COVID-19 vaccine.

This is yet another example of FAKE NEWS created and propagated by anti-vaccination activists, and here are the reasons why…

Fact #1 : Celine Dion Postponed, Then Cancelled Her Tour

First, here’s some context on what’s going on with Celine Dion.

On 8 December 2022, Celine Dion publicly shared that she was diagnosed with the disorder known as Stiff Person Syndrome (Moersch-Woltman syndrome), and postponed her Spring 2023 shows to 2024, and cancelled eight of her summer 2023 shows.

On Friday, 26 May 2023, Celine Dion announced on Instagram that she was cancelling the Courage World Tour “until [she’s] really ready to be back on stage again“.

I’m so sorry to disappoint all of you once again. I’m working really hard to build back my strength, but touring can be very difficult even when you’re 100%.

It’s not fair to you to keep postponing the shows, and even though it breaks my heart, it’s best that we cancel everything now until I’m really ready to be back on stage again.

I want you all to know, I’m not giving up… and I can’t wait to see you again!” – Celine xx…

Fact #3 : COVID-19 Vaccines Do Not Cause Stiff Person Syndrome

Many anti-vaccination activists are pointing out that Stiff Person Syndrome (SPS) is one of the 1,291 Adverse Events of Special Interest (AESI) found in 9 pages of a Pfizer document that was released by the FDA.

As I explained back in March 2022, the “List of Adverse Events of Special Interest” (AESI) is NOT a list of side effects caused by the Pfizer mRNA vaccine.

Rather, that was a list of 1,291 potential adverse events that Pfizer was specifically looking for when vaccinated people send in their reports through VAERS or the Yellow Card systems.

Just because Stiff Person Syndrome is in the AESI list does not mean the vaccine causes it. It is just one of the many adverse events Pfizer wanted their post-authorisation safety teams to look out for.

To be clear – there is no evidence that any COVID-19 vaccine can possibly cause Stiff Person Syndrome.

Fact #4 : Celine Dion Did Not Say COVID-19 Injured Her

The People’s Voice, formerly known as Daily Expose / The Expose, claimed that Celine Dion revealed that she was left paralysed and is suffering from a brain disease caused by the COVID-19 vaccine.

As far as we can tell – Celine Dion has never mentioned the COVID-19 vaccine, much less claim that it caused her Stiff Person Syndrome, or paralysis of any kind.

In fact, The People’s Voice / Daily Expose / The Expose did not provide any evidence that Celine Dion actually said that.

Fact #5 : Unknown If Celine Dion Was Vaccinated Against COVID-19

Anti-vaccination activists claim that Celine Dion was fully-vaccinated against COVID-19. However, there is no evidence of that, as she never publicly revealed her vaccination status.

For all we know – she may not even be vaccinated! The COVID-19 vaccine is not mandatory in the United States where she lives, despite what anti-vaccination activists may claim.

Many people who were injured or died suddenly were actually unvaccinated, like Kris Jordan, Aaron Carter, Kirstie Alley, Stephan Bonnar, David Wayne Burleson, and Kaden Clymer.

Until and unless we know her COVID-19 vaccination status, anyone who claims that she was disabled by the COVID-19 vaccine is lying to you.

Fact #6 : The People’s Voice Is A Notorious Fake News Website

The People’s Voice is the new name for Daily Expose, which was established as The Expose in November 2020 by Jonathan Allen-Walker – a mechanic from Lincolnshire.

Like Real Raw News and NewsPunch, The People’s Voice / Daily Expose / The Expose is a FAKE NEWS website that capitalises on making shocking but fake stories to generate page views and money.

Right after Celine Dion announced that she was suffering from a rare condition called Stiff People Syndrome, anti-vaccination activists immediately claimed that Canadian singer was a victim of the COVID-19 vaccine!

Celine Dion was an enthusiastic advocate for Covid “vaccines” but “stiff person syndrome” is a noted adverse reaction to these jabs. I am not saying it’s what caused her problem but it does seem quite the coincidence don’t you think?

Even the infamous anti-vaxxer who is fully-vaccinated, Steve Kirsch, claimed that Celine Dion got her stiff person syndrome from the vaccine.

Celine Dion finally revealed she has stiff person syndrome, which is so rare, it’s only found in 1 in a million people. Did she just get unlucky? Nope. She got vaccinated.

Pfizer knew about this potential side effect likely before Celine Dion was vaccinated, but they have no duty to disclose that because hey, it’s a safe and effective vaccine with only mild side effects. The FDA simply looks the other way for safety issues. That’s the way science is done.

Pfizer knew about SPS in February 2021 and the FDA knew about it on Aprile 2021. But the FDA isn’t going to warn anyone about all these side effects because that would create vaccine hesitancy.

Thanks to Amy Kelly of dailyclout.io, we know that SPS was reported in Pfizer’s postmarketing documents on page 37, which is also page 8 of Appendix 1. Being in this document indicates that Pfizer was aware of it no later than 2/28/21, and the FDA knew about it no later than April 2021.

So the FDA and Pfizer clearly know and told the public nothing. They aren’t liable for any damages even if they didn’t give anyone informed consent by revealing all the side effects.

I don’t know if Celine got the Pfizer vaccine or not, but the side effect profile of the other vaccines is even worse, so my arguments apply no matter what vaccine Celine got.

Fact #2 : COVID-19 Vaccines Do Not Cause Stiff Person Syndrome

As I explained back in March 2022, the “List of Adverse Events of Special Interest” (AESI) is NOT a list of side effects caused by the Pfizer mRNA vaccine.

Rather, that was a list of 1,291 potential adverse events that Pfizer was specifically looking for when vaccinated people send in their reports through VAERS or the Yellow Card systems.

Fact #3 : AESI List Is Generic + Includes Irrelevant Adverse Events

While anti-vaccination activists keep insisting that the AESI list is a list of Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine side effects, that’s nonsense.

The AESI list is generic and not specific to the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, because it’s determined before clinical trials even begin!

That’s why the AESI list includes diseases caused by other viruses – Herpes, MERS, Varicella; as well as “exposure to SARS-CoV-2” and other “communicable disease”.

The list also included manufacturing and lab test issues, like “Manufacturing laboratory analytical testing issue, Manufacturing materials issue, Manufacturing production issue“. Even product supply issues were included – “Product availability issue, Product distribution issue, Product supply issue“.

They are obviously not vaccine side effects, nor related in any way to the performance or safety of the vaccine.

Fact #4 : Unknown If Celine Dion Was Vaccinated Against COVID-19

Anti-vaccination activists claim that Celine Dion was fully-vaccinated against COVID-19. However, there is no evidence of that, as she never publicly revealed her vaccination status.
