Malaysia To Change Mindset By Delaying COVID-19 Report!

Malaysia will try to change people’s mindset by delaying the daily COVID-19 report!

Here is what you need to know…

Malaysia To Change Mindset By Delaying COVID-19 Report!

On 17 February 2022, Malaysia Health Minister, Khairy Jamaluddin announced a delay in the daily report of new COVID-19 cases.

Instead of being released in the afternoon / evening every day, the daily report of new COVID-19 cases will be released at 10 AM the next day, together with other data like :

  • hospitalisation and ICU usage
  • category breakdowns
  • deaths
  • immunisation rates

This change will start on Friday, 18 February 2022, with the report being released on Saturday, 19 February 2022.

He said that this decision was made to change people’s mindset, and shift them away from the fear factor of 20K, 30K new cases, and consider the situation in its entirety.

He also pointed out that this move was being adopted by other countries like Singapore, which releases its data at midnight.

Moderna Expands To Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan + HK!

Moderna just announced that they are expanding to four countries in Asia Pacific – Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan and Hong Kong!

Moderna Expands To Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan + HK!

On 15 February 2022, Moderna announced that it is expanding its commercial network across Asia by creating new subsidiaries in Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan and Hong Kong.

These new subsidiaries are meant to support the delivery of mRNA vaccines and therapeutics, and may not involve research and development, or manufacturing.

Moderna CEO, Stephane Bancel recently mentioned though that he hopes to “establish one or two new vaccine plants in Asia“.

In May 2021, Moderna announced a collaboration with the South Korean government to explore research and manufacturing in South Korea.

At the end of December 2021, Moderna announced that it would build an mRNA vaccine manufacturing facility in Victoria, Australia.

“2021 was a year of impact for Moderna, and I am proud to see continued growth in 2022 as we expand our presence in Asia. After a decade of pioneering the development of our mRNA platform, we were ready to play a critical role in combating the COVID-19 pandemic globally,” said Stéphane Bancel, Chief Executive Officer of Moderna.

“With the addition of four subsidiaries in Asia, we look forward to new opportunities to leverage our mRNA platform to help solve health challenges, including those with a high burden of disease in the Asia-Pacific region.”

Moderna CEO Stephane Bancel was recently the subject of speculation and misinformation, after closing his Twitter account. You can read all about it here.

Did 10 Countries Cancel All COVID-19 Tests + Vaccinations?

Did 10 countries just cancel all COVID-19 tests, quarantine procedures and vaccinations?

Take a look at the viral message, and find out what the facts really are!

Claim : 10 Countries Cancelled All COVID-19 Tests + Vaccinations!

This is the first part of a viral message, that appears to be combined from two different viral messages. Read part two.

It claims that 10 countries just cancelled all COVID-19 tests, quarantine procedures and vaccinations, because they now consider COVID-19 to be “just a seasonal flu”.

The following countries announced the cancellation of all quarantine procedures, Corona tests, and compulsory vaccination, and considering Corona just a seasonal flu:

1) Turkey 🇹🇷
2) Brazil 🇧🇷
3) Britain 🇬🇧
4) Sweden 🇸🇪
5) Spain 🇪🇸
6) Czech Republic 🇨🇿
7) Mexico 🇲🇽
8) El Salvador 🇸🇻
9) Japan 🇯🇵
10) Singapore 🇸🇬

Truth : Those Countries Did NOT Cancel COVID-19 Tests / Vaccinations!

This is yet another example of FAKE NEWS circulating on Facebook and WhatsApp, and here are the reasons why…

Fact #1 : None Of Those Countries Cancelled COVID-19 Tests

None of the ten countries mentioned in the viral message cancelled any requirement to test for COVID-19.

Turkey : Travellers must submit negative PCR test taken 72 hours before arrival. Proof of vaccination or negative PCR test within last 48 hours is required to enter certain venues in Turkey. Symptomatic people in Turkey are tested for COVID-19.

Brazil : Travellers must test negative for COVID-19 within 24 hours (RTK) or 72 hours (PCR) before boarding.

Britain : Travellers who are not fully vaccinated must take a COVID-19 test within 2 days before departure, or on arrival in England. Negative COVID-19 tests are still required to enter certain venues in Wales and Scotland.

Sweden : Travellers must be fully-vaccinated or show a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours before arrival in Sweden.

Spain : Travellers must be fully-vaccinated or show a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours (PCR) or 48 hours (RAT) before arrival.

Czech Republic : Travellers must present a negative COVID-19 test, irrespective of vaccination status.

Mexico : Travellers were never required to undergo a COVID-19 test.

El Salvador : Travellers were no longer required to present a negative COVID-19 test since 17 November 2021,

Japan : Travellers (including citizens) must submit a negative test result within 72 hours prior to departure.

Singapore : Travellers must submit a negative test result within 48 hours prior to departure.

Fact #2 : None Of Those Countries Cancelled COVID-19 Quarantine

Turkey : Unvaccinated travellers must undergo mandatory quarantine for up to 10 days. COVID-19 positive individuals and unvaccinated close contacts must quarantine for 7 days.

Brazil : Unvaccinated travellers must undergo mandatory quarantine for 14 days. COVID-19 positive individuals must quarantine for at least 7 days.

Britain : Travellers who are not fully-vaccinated must quarantine for 10 days, until 11 February 2022. After that, only those who test positive on arrival in England must quarantine. COVID-19 positive individuals must quarantine for 10 days, including close contacts who are not fully-vaccinated.

Sweden : COVID-19 positive individuals must quarantine at home for at least five days.

Spain : COVID-19 positive individuals must quarantine at home for at least seven days.

Czech Republic : Close contacts must quarantine for 5 days. COVID-19 positive individuals must quarantine for at least 5 days.

Mexico : Travellers were never required to undergo a mandatory quarantine. COVID-19 positive individuals are required to quarantine for 5-10 days.

El Salvador : El Salvador can place municipalities under special quarantine with little to no prior notice.

Japan : Even with a negative test, all travellers from countries where Omicron variant is dominant must self-quarantine for 7 days. Close contacts must quarantine for 7 days,

Singapore : Travellers must quarantine until they receive a negative result for their On-Arrival COVID-19 PCR test. COVID-19 positive individuals must quarantine for 10 days.

Fact #3 : None Of Those Countries Cancelled COVID-19 Vaccination

COVID-19 vaccinations are still continuing in all ten countries mentioned in the fake message.

In fact, most of those countries have pretty high vaccination rates :

  • Turkey : 62.1% fully vaccinated
  • Brazil : 70.4% fully vaccinated
  • United Kingdom : 71.9% fully vaccinated
  • Sweden ; 72.9% fully vaccinated
  • Spain : 80.8% fully vaccinated
  • Czech Republic : 63.3% fully vaccinated
  • Mexico : 59.7% fully vaccinated
  • El Salvador : 64.8% fully vaccinated
  • Japan : 79.2% fully vaccinated
  • Singapore : 83.6% fully vaccinated

Fact #4 : None Of Those Countries Considers COVID-19 A Seasonal Flu

While many health experts predict COVID-19 could be “endemic”, that is still not certain.

If COVID-19 becomes endemic, that means SARS-CoV-2 is is impossible to completely eradicate, and is here to stay… forever.

However, it does not mean they consider COVID-19 to be nothing more than “just a seasonal flu”.

For one thing, COVID-19 is far more deadly than the seasonal flu, even though the flu is caused by multiple viruses.

The WHO also considers COVID-19 to be a pandemic, warning that it is too early to treat it as an endemic disease.

“We still have a huge amount of uncertainty and a virus that is evolving quite quickly, imposing new challenges. We are certainly not at the point where we are able to call it endemic.”

No matter how you slice or dice it, COVID-19 is currently not close to being “just a seasonal flu”.

New MySJ Trace Feature : What You Need To Know!

MySejahtera has a new feature called MySJ Trace, which logs your close contacts for more accurate contact tracing.

Here is what you need to know about the new MySejahtera feature!

MySJ Trace : New Tracking Feature In MySejahtera

Currently, MySejahtera relies on manual logging in at various entry points, which results in many false positives and false negatives.

  • false positive : you wrongly get identified as a close or casual contact
  • false negative : you are not flagged as a close contact, even when you come into close proximity with a COVID-19 positive person

To eliminate those errors, MySejahtera is introducing a new and more accurate contact tracing feature called MySJ Trace.

Similar to Singapore’s TraceTogether app, MySJ Trace uses Bluetooth technology to more accurately determine your proximity to other people, so MySejahtera can better determine if you are a close contact, or not.

It also removes the need to manually check out from the locations you checked in earlier.

Read more : Can The Government Use MySJ Trace To Track You 24/7?

MySejahtera with MySJ Trace : Now Available For Android!

MySJ Trace is currently available only in MySejahtera version 1.1.3 and above.

It was first introduced in MySejahtera version 1.1.3 which is available only from the HUAWEI AppGallery

But on 25 December 2021, it was also introduced in MySejahtera version 1.1.4 in the Google Play Store, so all Android users will have access to it.

As of 28 December 2021, it is still NOT available in the Apple App Store. Version 1.0.49 in the Apple App Store does NOT support this feature.

Read more : MySejahtera with MySJ Trace Now Available For Android!

MySJ Trace : How To Enable It?

MySJ Trace is (currently) NOT mandatory and is an opt-in feature, so you actually have to manually enable it, if you want to participate.

Step 1 : Update to the MySejahtera version that has MySJ Trace.

Step 2 : Open MySejahtera, and you will see a black MySJ Trace section in the default Check-in screen.

Step 3 : Tap on Setup MySJ Trace to begin the setup process.

Step 4 : Tap on the Start button in the initial explainer screen.

Step 5 : Tap the I agree button to consent to give your “interaction information” for the past 14 days to the Malaysia Ministry of Health for “contact tracing purposes”.

Step 6 : In the App Permissions screen, tap on the Allow button.

Step 7 : First, you will be asked to allow MySejahtera to access your smartphone’s location. Tap on While using the app.

Step 8 : Next, you will be asked to allow MySejahtera to detect your location all the time. Tap on Allow all the time.

Step 9 : Now, you will be asked to enable Bluetooth, if it is not already enabled.

Step 10 : Once all necessary permissions have been enabled, just tap on the Close button.

That’s it! You have now activated MySJ Trace in MySejahtera.

If at any time you do not wish to participate, you can simply disable the permissions, and/or reinstall MySejahtera.

MySJ Trace : Frequently Asked Questions

Here are the official answers to the MySJ frequently-asked questions (FAQ):

1. What is MySJ Trace?

MySJ Trace is a contact tracing application developed by the Government of Malaysia.

13. Must Bluetooth be activated at all times?

Yes, Bluetooth must be activated at all times for MySJ Trace to work properly.

14. Will Bluetooth usage cause high battery usage?

Unlike using Bluetooth to stream music or to a wireless headphone continuously, MySJ Trace uses Bluetooth to only transmit its presence periodically. As such, it uses significantly less power.

15. Will the app use significant battery power if MySJ Trace is left running all the time?

MySJ Trace uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to minimise battery usage. Therefore, the app does not use significant amounts of battery power to collect persistent contact tracing information.

16. Will MySJ Trace Bluetooth usage affect my other Bluetooth accessories?

MySJ Trace does not affect the use or performance of other Bluetooth accessories like wireless speakers, wireless earphones or headphones, or smartwatches.

17. Why must I allow location permission for the Android version?

Android requires location permission to be granted for any app to access Bluetooth features. However, geolocation data will not be collected.

For iOS, only the Bluetooth function needs to be enabled.

Singapore – Malaysia VTL Suspended Due To Omicron Variant!

Malaysia has temporarily suspended the VTL (Vaccinated Travel Lane) with Singapore, due to the Omicron variant!

Here is what you need to know…

Singapore – Malaysia VTL : What Is It?

Announced in November 2021, the Singapore – Malaysia VTL (Vaccinated Travel Lane) allows fully-vaccinated citizens of both countries to travel, without being subjected to a mandatory quarantine.

There are currently two VTL (Vaccinated Travel Lane) options between Singapore and Malaysia :

  • By Air : Between Changi Airport in Singapore, and KLIA in Malaysia
  • By Land : At the Johor Bahru Causeway.

Singapore – Malaysia VTL Suspended Due To Omicron Variant!

On 22 December 2021, the Malaysia Minister of Health, Khairy Jamaluddin announced a temporary suspension of the Singapore – Malaysia VTL, due to the Omicron variant of COVID-19.

In his statement, he pointed out that the Singapore Ministry of Health announced a local cluster of three COVID-19 cases, of which two were likely of the Omicron variant, while the other case is still pending. All three cases did not have history of overseas travel.

In light of that development, the Malaysia Ministry of Health (KKM) decided to temporarily suspend the VTL with Singapore from Thursday, 23 December, 2021 until Thursday, 20 January 2022.

Travellers who have already purchased tickets for Land or Air VTL, and still comply with the VTL requirements can continue with their travel plans.

Bus and plane ticket sales for both Air and Land VTL initiatives will reopen on 21 January 2022, after a risk assessment is conducted in both countries. However, the ticket quota will be lower than the current limit.

New Measures To Block Omicron Variant From Malaysia!

With the Omicron variant rapidly spreading across the globe, Malaysia has initiated new measures to block it from reaching our shores.

Here is what you need to know…

New Measures To Block Omicron Variant From Malaysia!

On 1 December 2021, the Malaysia Minister of Health Khairy Jamaluddin announced a series of new measures to block the Omicron variant from reaching our shores.

This decision came after 20 countries reported over 200 cases of the Omicron variant of COVID-19 :

Country Omicron
Cases
Country Omicron
Cases
South Africa 128 Austria 4
Botswana 19 Brazil 2
Portugal 13 Canada 2
The Netherlands 12 Japan 2
United Kingdom 9 Denmark 2
Australia 6 Spain 1
Hong Kong 5 Reunion Island (France) 1
Germany 5 Belgium 1
Italy 4 Czech Republic 1
Israel 4 Sweden 1

How Malaysia Intends To To Block Omicron Variant!

Temporary Travel Ban

Malaysia will no longer allow flights from or transiting through countries with Omicron variant transmission, or high risk countries, will be blocked.

These are the eight (8) countries that the Malaysia Ministry of Health (KKM) has listed under the travel ban :

  • South Africa
  • Botswana
  • Eswatini
  • Lesotho
  • Mozambique
  • Namibia
  • Zimbabwe
  • Malawi

There is also a temporary travel ban for non-Malaysian citizens from those countries, including travellers who have been in those countries during the last 14 days prior to arrival.

Malaysian citizens and holders of long-term passes (PR status, spouse visa, MM2H and resident pass) are still ALLOWED to return to Malaysia, subject to these restrictions :

  • Irrespective of their vaccination status, they must undergo a 14-day mandatory quarantine at a quarantine station.
  • They must undergo three RT-PCR COVID-19 tests :
    – within 72 hours before departure,
    – on arrival in Malaysia, and
    – on the 10th day of the mandatory quarantine
  • A risk assessment will be conducted on the 14th day of quarantine, which may be extended if the traveller is symptomatic.

Malaysian citizens who are planning to visit the listed countries are NOT ALLOWED to continue with their travel plans.

Vaccinated Travel Lane

Arrangements to create a Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) with countries with Omicron variant transmission, or high risk countries, have been postponed.

In addition, the Malaysia-Singapore VTL programme for both air and land travel has been amended to require travellers to undergo additional COVID-19 self-tests on the 3rd and 7th day after arrival.

They must then report their test results in MySejahtera.

Monitoring Of Countries With Omicron Variant Cases

The Ministry of Health (KKM) will monitor and provide the other government ministries with a DAILY LIST of countries with Omicron variant cases, or at high risk.

Strengthening Of International Gateways

The Immigration Department of Malaysia has immediately STOPPED the use of the Autogate system.

Flights carrying passengers from the listed countries with Omicron variant transmission, or high risk countries, are only allowed to enter Malaysia through KLIA.

Airlines are responsible for identifying passengers travelling from countries with Omicron variant transmission, or high-risk countries. This information must be submitted to the KLIA Health Office for easier handling of the arrivals.

MAHB is required to create a special “gate” and path for travellers from countries with Omicron variant transmission, or high-risk countries, to undergo a health screening before undergoing their special quarantine.

International Students + Foreign Workers

International students and foreign workers from countries with Omicron variant cases, or high-risk countries, will be temporarily BANNED from entering Malaysia.

Langkawi International Tourism Bubble

Tourists from countries with Omicron variant transmission, or high-risk countries; or those with history of travel to those countries in the past 14 days, are NOT ALLOWED to participate in the Langkawi International Tourism Bubble.

Malaysian citizens (Langkawi residents) returning from countries with Omicron variant transmission, or high-risk countries, are ALLOWED to return to Malaysia, but only through KLIA and must undergo a mandatory 14-day quarantine in a special quarantine station.

Foreign tourists who are confirmed to be positive with the Omicron variant of COVID-19 will be isolated and treated in a private hospital, at their own cost.

Singapore-Malaysia VTL Land (Causeway) Travel Guide!

There is now a Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) for land travel between Singapore and Malaysia at the Johor Causeway!

Here is what you need to know about the Singapore to Malaysia Vaccinated Travel Lane by land!

Singapore-Malaysia VTL By Land Kicked Off!

After almost 2 years of border closures, Singapore and Malaysia agreed to launch a Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) on 8 November 2021.

From 29 November 2021 onwards, fully-vaccinated individuals will be allowed to travel between Changi Airport and KLIA, and across the Johor Causeway.

Travellers using these Vaccinated Travel Lanes will NOT be required to serve any quarantine or Stay-Home-Notice. They will only be required to take COVID-19 tests!

However, I should point out that this VTL scheme is NOT cheap, as you will need to undergo several COVID-19 tests.

Singapore + Malaysia VTL Dry Run @ Johor Causeway!

A new Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) could soon be opened between Singapore and Malaysia across the Johor Causeway!

Singapore + Malaysia VTL : What Is It?

On 8 November 2021, Singapore and Malaysia agreed to launch a Vaccinated Travel Lane that would kick off on 29 November 2021.

The Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) programme allows fully-vaccinated travellers avoid the mandatory quarantine on arrival in Singapore or Malaysia.

However, this VTL is currently limited to specific VTL flights between Changi Airport and the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).

Singapore + Malaysia VTL Dry Run @ Johor Causeway!

The good news is that it looks like Singapore and Malaysia are close to launching a Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) programme for the Johor Causeway as well.

On 23 November 2021, Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin, released three photos showing Singapore and Malaysia officials conducting a dry run for a proposed Vaccinated Travel Lane through the Johor Causeway.

Such a VTL programme across the Johor Causeway would be highly beneficial, as travel costs are much lower.

This could finally allow many families in both countries to be reunited, and the restoration of economic and social ties between Singapore and Malaysia.

Was Bill Gates Arrested For Crimes Against Humanity?

Was Bill Gates just arrested by INTERPOL, and charged with crimes against humanity?

Take a look at the viral claim, and find out what the FACTS really are!

Claim : Bill Gates Was Just Arrested For Crimes Against Humanity!

Who else but the Conservative Beaver would score yet another exclusive international “scoop”?

On 17 November 2021, they wrote another “Beaver Exclusive” claiming that Bill Gates was just arrested by Interpol agents  in Sao Paolo, Brazil, and charged with crimes against humanity.

Bill Gates has been arrested in Sao Paulo, Brazil by Interpol and charged with crimes against humanity for his role in engineering the Covid “pandemic,” and for his role in creating dangerous and untested vaccines. The Brazilian military was involved with his arrest.

More to come

https://youtu.be/AQAG-bBfnuo

Truth : Bill Gates Was NOT Arrested For Crimes Against Humanity!

Just like other Conservative Beaver Exclusives, this is just FAKE NEWS. And here are the reasons why…

Fact #1 : Conservative Beaver Is A Known Fake News Website

The Conservative Beaver is a “news aggregator” (copy and paste) website that is known for creating fake news to generate more page views and money.

12 November 2021 : They wrote a fake story about World Economic Forum founder – Klaus Schwab – getting arrested by Swiss police for fraud. That was another fake story.

10 November 2021 : They wrote a fake story about Pfizer CEO’s wife – Myriam Bourla – dying from vaccine complications. That naturally did not happen.

5 November 2021 : They wrote a fake story about the FBI arresting Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla for fraud. It was quickly debunked by Bourla appearing on CNN and CNBC on the day of his “arrest”.

4 November 2021 : They wrote a fake story about Virginia governor Terry McAuliffe being arrested and charged with possession of child porn and cocaine. This never happened.

1 November 2021 : They wrote a fake story about an American Airlines plane crashing into the Atlantic ocean after the pilot died from a heart attack, after taking his second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. There was no such plane crash.

Read more : Did Pfizer CEO’s Wife, Myriam Bourla, Die From Vaccine?

https://youtu.be/yZQZCLRO6bA

Fact #2 : Bill Gates Was Not Arrested

It may seem obvious, but it has to be said – Bill Gates was not arrested, or charged with crimes against humanity, by INTERPOL.

In fact, Bill Gates continued to be active on social media, tweeting at least FIVE (5) times since his alleged arrest in Sao Paolo, Brazil.

He also participated in the Bloomberg New Economy Forum on the day he was allegedly arrested! See Fact #3.

Fact #3 : Bill Gates Was Not Even In Brazil

On 17 November 2021, Bill Gates was not even in Brazil. He was at home in Seattle, the United States.

I know this for certain because he spoke virtually at the Bloomberg New Economy Forum in Singapore, at around 11 AM on 18 November 2021 (GMT+8).

When Bill spoke from his home, it would have been 7 PM on 17 November 2021 in Seattle.

It is impossible for him to be speaking from Seattle on the same day as his arrest in Brazil.

Fact #3 : INTERPOL Has No Jurisdiction In Any Country

INTERPOL is an international organisation that facilitates police cooperation between different countries.

It acts as a liaison between police organisations, and does NOT have any jurisdiction in any country.

Just in case there is any confusion, INTERPOL does NOT have agents with the power to arrest anyone in any country around the world.

Fact #4 : COVID-19 Pandemic Was Not Engineered

This may seem silly to fact check, but it must be said plain and clear – the COVID-19 pandemic was not engineered.

This is just a silly claim that conspiracy theorists have concocted, without even a smidge of evidence.

Fact #5 : Bill Gates Had No Role In Creating COVID-19 Vaccines

Bill Gates has NO ROLE in the creation of COVID-19 vaccines, which were created by different scientific teams all over the world – from the United Kingdom, Germany and the United States to Russia, China and India.

Read more : Did Bill Gates Call For Withdrawal Of COVID-19 Vaccines?

Fact #6 : COVID-19 Vaccines Have All Undergone Clinical Trials

The claim that vaccines are unsafe and untested is nonsense. ALL approved COVID-19 vaccines have undergone and passed large clinical trials to prove their safety and efficacy.

That’s the only way to receive their Emergency Use Authorisation, which is then followed up by a full FDA approval after further follow-up and factory inspections.

Read more : Full FDA Approval vs. EUA for Vaccines : What’s Different?

Fact #7 : Bill Gates Was Only Arrested In 1977

Interestingly, Bill Gates was once arrested in 1977, for driving his Porsche far above the speed limit in New Mexico.

His mugshot went viral at that time, even though there was no social media back then. Quite a feat!

Fact #8 : No Evidence Of Arrest

This may seem obvious, but it has to be pointed out that there is ZERO evidence that Bill Gates was recently arrested :

  • ZERO media coverage – whether in Brazil, the United States or internationally.
  • ZERO mention in the INTERPOL Twitter feed, which is very active.
  • ZERO mention in the official Bill Gates Twitter feed, which continues to be actively posting tweets.

Do you really believe that such an arrest would have gone without notice by EVERYONE ELSE in the world, but the Conservative Beaver?

The truth is – this is just a FAKE STORY created by Conservative Beaver in a few minutes, just to generate page views and money.

Everything that Conservative Beaver posts must be regarded as FAKE NEWS, until proven otherwise.

Sinovac Booster Dose : Can You Get It? Should You Take It?

Now that the Sinovac booster dose has been approved, can you get it?

If you can’t get it yet, should you WAIT to get a Sinovac booster dose instead of other vaccines?

Updated @ 2021-11-17 : Added Sinovac booster dose approval and updated advice on a Sinovac booster dose.

Updated @ 2021-11-12 : Added more information on Sinovac vaccine efficacy and advice on a Sinovac booster dose.
Originally published @ 2021-11-10

Can You Get The Sinovac Booster Dose?

Malaysia started the COVID-19 vaccine booster dose programme on 13 October 2021, targeting those who received the Pfizer vaccine, before being expanded on 22 October 2021 to those who received the Sinovac vaccine.

Since then, many people have been asking if they can get a booster dose of the Sinovac vaccine instead.

The updated answer is SOON, but not yet.

On 17 November 2021, the Malaysia Drug Control Authority (DCA) approved the Sinovac and AstraZeneca booster doses for homologous vaccination.

That means Sinovac and AstraZeneca booster doses will be given to those who earlier received Sinovac and AstraZeneca vaccines respectively.

However, this does NOT mean the Sinovac booster dose is immediately available.

The COVID-19 Immunisation Task Force – Booster (CITF-B) will be targeting specific groups to receive these booster doses, which will be detailed later.

Right now, the COVID-19 Booster Dose programme in Malaysia continues to use the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine. Even people vaccinated with Sinovac will receive the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine as a booster dose.

If you had earlier received the Sinovac vaccine, and are open to receive the Pfizer booster dose, I highly recommend you get yourself on the standby list ASAP.

If CITF-B eventually decides to give only homologous vaccinations for Sinovac, you will lose your chance to get the Pfizer booster dose.

My advice remains the same – don’t wait for the Sinovac booster dose. Get the Pfizer booster dose if it is offered to you.

It is FAR MORE EFFECTIVE, and gives you a big boost in protection, especially if you received the Sinovac vaccine earlier.

Read more : Malaysia’s COVID-19 Booster Dose Policy Explained!

Should You Get The Sinovac Booster Dose?

The Malaysia Health Minister, Khairy Jamaluddin, mentioned earlier that people with severe allergies, or who have suffered an allergic reaction to the Pfizer vaccine earlier, may be offered a booster shot of the Sinovac or AstraZeneca vaccine instead.

Now that the Sinovac vaccine has been approved as a booster dose, should you WAIT to get it?

That very much depends on a number of factors.

Are You Allergic To The Pfizer Vaccine?

If you are allergic to the Pfizer vaccine, then you definitely cannot receive a booster dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine.

You will have to get a booster dose of other vaccine types – viral vector vaccines like AstraZeneca or Sputnik V, or inactivated virus vaccines like Sinovac or Sinopharm.

But with so many better vaccine options available out there, Sinovac CoronaVac should be your last choice, not your first.

Read more : Did FDA Panel Reject Pfizer Booster Dose Over Myocarditis?

Are There Better Options?

If you are given the option to switch to Pfizer or AstraZeneca, you should definitely opt for either one over the Sinovac CoronaVac vaccine.

Of all the WHO approved vaccines, Sinovac CoronaVac is the least efficacious COVID-19 vaccine, offering just over 50% efficacy against symptomatic COVID-19.

And that was before it was tested against the highly-infectious Delta variant.

In June 2021, Chinese CDC deputy director Dr. Feng Zijian admitted that their inactivated virus vaccines are “less effective” against the Delta variant.

While Sinovac has tried to push their booster dose as a way to shore up the CoronaVac’s efficacy against the Delta variant, it would be foolish to assume that it offers anything more than a temporary boost in relatively ineffective antibodies.

Even China is moving to use mRNA booster doses for those who received Sinovac and Sinopharm vaccines, with their own mRNA vaccine called ARCoVAX entering mass production soon.

Read more : Are Chinese Vaccines The Most Effective Vs. Delta Variant?

Sinovac / Sinopharm Should Require Three Doses Minimum

On 12 October 2021, WHO experts recommended that those over 60 who received the Sinovac or Sinopharm’s vaccines should be given a third shot.

They notably refrained from calling it a booster dose, suggesting instead that they should be administered as three doses, instead of the recommended two doses, for a primary series vaccine.

This was precisely the same policy adopted by Singapore on 23 October 2021, when their Ministry of Health declared that three doses of the Sinovac vaccine will be REQUIRED for a person to be considered fully-vaccinated.

In other words – two doses isn’t enough to be considered fully-vaccinated for these inactivated virus vaccines.  They have to be taken as three doses MINIMUM.

Even Malaysia’s RECoVaM data show that the Sinovac CoronaVac vaccine is comparatively weak, allowing significantly more breakthrough infections that result in ICU care and deaths.

If you still feel that you prefer to get three Sinovac vaccine doses, instead of using a different vaccine – that’s fine. It is better than not getting a booster shot at all.

The key thing is to GET PROTECTED against COVID-19, by getting fully-vaccinated. If that means three doses of Sinovac, so be it.

My advice remains the same as it did earlier this year. Don’t wait – get the first vaccine (or booster dose) you are offered!

Did Jean Yip Hairdresser Die From COVID-19 Booster Dose?

Did a Jean Yip hairdresser die from his COVID-19 vaccine booster dose?

Take a look at this new viral claim from Singapore, and find out what the facts really are!

Claim : Jean Yip Hairdresser Died From COVID-19 Booster Dose!

People have been sharing this viral message on WhatsApp, claiming that a Jean Yip hairdresser died recently from his COVID-19 vaccine booster dose, after just 5 days!

English translation :

Hair Stylist from Jean Yip Beauty Group of Companies died after 3rd booster… On Saturday he took the 3rd booster jab, he felt unwell but continues his duty.

And the following week (Wednesday) he felt not right and was admitted to the hospital and his condition turned for the worse.

He DIED on Thursday from the Booster shot.

Watch the media news yesterday and he is FULLY VACCINATED and NO underlying medical condition according to media news yesterday still under investigation.

Truth : Jean Yip Hairdresser Did Not Die From COVID-19 Booster Dose!

This is yet another example of COVID-19 fake news designed to scare people from getting vaccinated against the coronavirus. Here are the reasons why…

Fact #1 : Kent Lim Was A Jean Yip Salon Manager

The man in question – Kent Lim Lian Seng – is a 54 year-old Malaysian hairdresser who managed two Jean Yip salons at Kovan and Raffles Place.

Fact #2 : Kent Passed Away 12 Days After His Booster Dose

The fake news claimed that Kent passed away 5 days after receiving his booster dose. That’s completely FALSE.

The truth is – he passed away 12 days after his booster dose.

Fact #3 : He Was Well Until 11 Days After His Booster Dose

Like the first two doses of any COVID-19 vaccine, the side effects of the booster dose is seen in the first 2-3 days.

Kent was apparently well, until he felt ill 11 days after his booster dose. This makes it very unlikely that his illness had anything to do with the booster dose.

Here is the known sequence of events according to Lianhe Wanbao,

  • Kent Lim got his booster shot on 9 October, 2021
  • At around 4 PM on 20 October, he asked to return home for a rest, saying that he had “physical discomfort“.
  • He passed away in a hospital in Singapore after seeking treatment, on 21 October 2021.
  • The hospital contacted Kent’s wife in Johor Bahru, to inform her about his death.
  • His wife then informed Dawn Yip, the CEO of the Jean Yip Group

Fact #4 : His Wife Is Upset At The Fake News

Kent Lim’s wife is understandably distraught at his death, and has been busy dealing with his funeral arrangements as his body has been repatriated to Malaysia for burial.

She was very upset with the fake news circulating about his death, and asked Dawn Yip – the CEO of the Jean Yip Group – to speak to the press on her behalf.

Fact #5 : No Evidence His Death Had Anything To Do With Vaccine

Dawn Yip said that the post is false and misleading. She pointed out that it got the details wrong, confirming that Kent died 12 days, not 5 days, after receiving his booster dose.

She also said that, “There was nothing unusual about him. We are not doctors, nor have we checked his medical records, so it is difficult to draw any conclusions, but there is indeed no evidence that he died from the third dose of the vaccine“.

Fact #6 : Pfizer Booster Dose Proven Safe In Clinical Trial

On 17 September 2021, Pfizer publicly released the clinical trial data for their COVID-19 vaccine booster dose.

It showed that the participants did NOT suffer any serious side effect from the booster dose :

  • No anaphylactic reaction were reported within 30 minutes of getting the booster dose
  • No deaths, serious or life-threatening adverse events, were reported
  • Older adults reported side effects like fatigue, headache, chills, muscle pain and joint pain that lasted only 1-2 days.
  • There were no cases of anaphylaxis, hypersensitivity, Bell’s palsy, myocarditis / pericarditis in the 2-3 months of follow-up.

This is pretty much what we would expect for a third dose. Those who had no issues with the first two doses, should have no issue with the booster dose.

It’s the same vaccine, after all. If you are allergic to the vaccine, you would have experienced an anaphylactic reaction with the first dose.

Fact #7 : Booster Dose Is Just A Refresher Class

Vaccines are really just self-defence classes that teach our immune system how to identify the SARS-CoV-2 virus, so it can produce antibodies to fight off an actual infection.

A booster dose is like a refresher class in college that you take just before a big exam. It reminds your immune system that COVID-19 should be taken seriously, and kickstarts the production of fresh antibodies.

If you have no trouble with the first two self-defence classes, why should a refresher class be a problem?

Malaysia Admits Losing Undersea Cable Due To Cabotage!

Malaysia finally admits losing the Apricot undersea cable due to its cabotage policy, in a stunning reply from the Communications and Multimedia Minister.

Malaysia Admits Losing Undersea Cable Due To Cabotage!

Malaysia Transport Minister Wee Ka Siong has stridently rejected claims that Malaysia was excluded from the Apricot undersea cable project due to the cabotage policy.

On 30 September 2021, he denied that his decision to revoke the exemption of cabotage on undersea cable repairs was the reason Malaysia was excluded from the Apricot undersea cable project.

However, Bukit Mertajam MP Steven Sim revealed that he received a Parliamentary reply from the Communications and Multimedia Minister that basically admits that the loss was due to the cabotage policy.

Here is the Bahasa Malaysia quote from the Communications and Multimedia Minister, followed by our English translation :

Pemilihan negara bagi menyertai rancangan pemasangan kabel Internet Apricot dasar laut (subsea cables) adalah keputusan syarikat Facebook dan Google. Malaysia tidak tersenarai (bypass) sebagai salah satu negara yang terlibat dalam pendaratan stesen kabel dasar laut tersebut memandangkan isu pengecualian Dasar Kabotaj yang masih belum selesai.”

The choice of country to participate in the Apricot undersea Internet cable (subsea cable) installation plan is decided by Facebook and Google. Malaysia was not listed (bypassed) as one of the countries involved in the landing of the submarine cable station due to the unresolved Cabotage Policy exemption issue.”

This reply by the Communications and Multimedia Minister directly contradicts the Transport Minister’s strident denials, and confirms what most people already know – Malaysia was bypassed in the Apricot undersea cable project because this government refused to exempt undersea cable repairs from the cabotage policy.

What Does Loss Of Apricot Undersea Cable Mean For Malaysia?

Backed by Google and Facebook, the Apricot undersea optic cable will connect South East Asia and North Asia and the US, with a whopping bandwidth of 190 terabits per second (Tbps) and very low latency.

Being bypassed means Malaysia has lost investments and high-speed connectivity worth US$300-400 billion (RM1.26 to RM1.68 billion), according to MIDF Research.

And to add salt to the wound, it comes after Malaysia already lost two earlier undersea cable investments by Google and Facebook called Bifrost and Echo.

This continued loss of subsea cable landings runs contrary to Malaysia’s MyDIGITAL Initiative, which aims to achieve the HIGHEST number of subsea cable landings in South East Asia by 2025.

Malaysia currently only has 23 subsea cables, including those under construction. This leaves it behind Indonesia and Singapore, which have 55 and 31 cables respectively. Even the Philippines is catching up with 19 cables so far.

Is the continued refusal to exempt subsea cable repairs from the cabotage policy worth the loss of billions of dollars of investments?

This government seems to think so, but many would strongly disagree with them.

Retiree Hospitalised After Taking Ivermectin For Just 2 Days!

A 65 year-old retiree was hospitalised after taking ivermectin for just 2 days!

Find out what happened, and why you should not take unproven cures for COVID-19!

Retiree Hospitalised After Taking Ivermectin For Just 2 Days!

A 65 year-old retiree in Singapore became the latest casualty of the ivermectin insanity.

Madam Wong Lee Tak was convinced by two members of the Church of the Risen Christ to purchase and take ivermectin to protect herself against COVID-19.

After taking just four 3 mg tablets for two days, she fell very ill, complaining of :

  • dizziness
  • vomiting and nausea
  • loss of appetite
  • severe joint pain
  • tiredness
  • inability to stand and walk

Her daughter, Vanessa Koh, admitted her to the Sengkang General Hospital, where she is now in stable condition.

Read more : Why Dr. Pierre Kory Got COVID-19 Despite Taking Ivermectin!

Church Members Convinced Retiree To Take Ivermectin!

At first, Vanessa thought her mother was suffering side effects from the Sinopharm vaccine that she received more than a week ago.

She told The Straits Times that it took months to convince her mother to get vaccinated, because her close friends from the Church of the Risen Christ told her that the mRNA vaccine was against God.

One church member, Clara Ng, even said that those advising Madam Wong to get the vaccine should “shut their mouth” unless they can “ask Jesus to tell me personally, that he commanded / ask me to go ahead and take the vaccine“.

Read more : Is COVID-19 Vaccine Useless Against Delta Variant?

In the end, her mother acquiesced to get the Sinopharm vaccine, instead of the more efficacious Pfizer or Moderna mRNA vaccine.

While looking after her mother, she found out why – messages on her mother’s phone revealed that her friends from the Church of the Risen Christ were actively trying to stop her from getting the more efficacious mRNA vaccine.

One of the Risen Christ Church members, Clara Ng, even told her, “don’t ALLOW SATAN to win!!!” by getting vaccinated against COVID-19.

Read more : Are Chinese Vaccines The Most Effective Vs. Delta Variant?

The Risen Christ Church members also advised her to buy and use ivermectin instead, with one church member selling them in boxes of 1,000 ivermectin tablets for S$110 (about US$81 / £59 / RM338)

When confronted, her mother admitted she purchased nine boxes of ivermectin from that church member, which she hid in her study room.

It should be noted that in Singapore, ivermectin can only be prescribed by a registered medical practitioner. It cannot be sold over-the-counter, or on the Internet.

Another church member then shared the dosage reference for taking ivermectin, that was taken from the FLCCC I-MASK+ protocol, which has never been tested in any clinical trial.

Read more : Ivermectin + Supplements : Better Than COVID-19 Vaccines?

Vanessa also shared that two of her mother’s church friends – Judy Koh and Clara Ng – convinced her mother that :

  • the mRNA vaccine was against their religion (it’s not), and that Jesus would reach out to them if they are allowed to take it
  • on finding out that her mother was going to get the Sinopharm vaccine, telling her that she will not go to Heaven if she takes the second dose.
  • taking ivermectin will help to purge the vaccine and COVID-19.

Shockingly, none of her mother’s church friends contacted her or her mother after she was hospitalised.

Her mother was also removed from the church Telegram group, and her conversations there erased.

So Vanessa went on Facebook to write about her mother’s experience, and to warn people about COVID Know-It-All experts :

To all of you out there who feel that you know better than the doctors because of google, DON’T. There is nothing more disrespectful than trying to do someone else’s profession, when you are severely unqualified – and that applies for not just Judy, Clara but also shamefully, my mom.

Discuss with your family, no matter how you feel your good friends are better because they are more pious. Because sitting outside the A&E was not Judy Koh or Clara Ng. It was Vanessa Koh. Because sitting outside at the taxi stand hospital is not Judy Koh or Clara Ng. It was Vincent Koh. Because sitting at the admission counter paying for the bill is not Judy Koh or Clara Ng. It was Vanessa Koh.

Do not let the Judy-s and Clara-s in your life overlook the people that truly matters.

Family.

Fake COVID-19 Warning Attributed To Dr. Leong Hoe Nam

A COVID-19 warning went viral on WhatsApp because it was attributed to Dr. Leong Hoe Nam.

Take a look at it, and find out why it’s just COVID-19 fake news!

Viral On WhatsApp : COVID-19 Warning By Dr. Leong Hoe Nam!

This is the COVID-19 warning that has gone viral on WhatsApp, because it was attributed to Dr. Leong Hoe Nam.

You may know him as the Singaporean doctor who has been interviewed on radio and TV very often.

The viral message is long, so just skip to the next section for the facts!

Dr Leong Hoe Nam who gave an interview in mandarin today !
Dr Leong said the reason why the fully vaccinated people are getting Covid ! Reason is because the people who are getting Covid altho fully vaccinated are the older people ( aged above 60 plus ) is because these people ‘s antibodies are all very Low due to the lapse of time and also these people in this age group mostly taking medications eg for diabetes ,cholesterol, hypertension ,heart disease etc ! The medication tends to neutralise the vaccine efficacy ! So he says it’s important for these seniors to take the booster jab ! The previous jabs now becomes weaker with time n the medications taken !

🛑USE YOUR MASKS BECAUSE NEW COVID-DELTA IS DIFFERENT, DEADLY & UNDETECTABLE:

With the new COVID DELTA VIRUS there is:

NO COUGH
NO FEVER

Just a lot of:

JOINT-PAIN
HEADACHE
NECK PAIN
UPPER BACK PAIN
PNEUMONIA
GENERAL WEEKNESS
NO APPETITE

COVID-DELTA is of course, more Virulent and with a higher Death rate.

It takes less time to go to extremes, Sometimes without symptoms.

COVID-19 Warning Is Fake + Falsely Attributed To Dr. Leong Hoe Nam!

The truth is – this is yet another COVID-19 fake story, that was falsely attributed to Dr. Leong Hoe Nam to make it more believable.

Here are the facts…

Fact #1 : Rophi Clinic Confirmed That It’s Fake

Rophi Clinic, which is owned by Dr. Leong Hoe Nam, issued a notice on 25 September 2021, calling that viral warning “fake news”.

They also called for people to stop sharing the fake news, as it has “damaging information”.

It has come to our attention that a post quoting Dr Leong Hoe Nam has gone viral.

It was a supposed translation of a Chinese programme. There was no reference to any programme.

This is to state categorically that Dr Leong has never said what was shared. There is a lot of false information. This is a fake news information that is spreading disinformation that serves to hurt the covid 19 epidemic response of Singapore, and the reputation of Dr Leong Hoe Nam

*Please do your part by not spreading the damaging information further as shown attached.*

Fact #2 : Viral Message Is A Mash-Up

The viral message appears to be a mash-up of at least two different messages.

The first paragraph appears to be written by one person, while the rest by another person based on the opinions of Dr. Taiwo Obembe – a public health specialist at the College of Medicine of the University of Ibadan, Nigeria.

Fact #3 : Common Medications Do NOT Affect COVID-19 Vaccine Efficacy

Common medications taken for diabetes, cholesterol, hypertension and heart disease DO NOT affect the efficacy of the COVID-19 vaccines.

Generally, only drugs that suppress your immune system will reduce the efficacy of the COVID-19 vaccines, including NSAID painkillers.

They do not “neutralise” the vaccine, but rather – reduce your body’s immune response to each dose. Efficacy is reduced because your immune system does not react as vigorously to the vaccine.

That is why you are asked to continue taking your medications before and after each dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, but not NSAID painkillers.

Read more : Can You Take Painkillers Before / After COVID-19 Vaccination?

Fact #4 : COVID-19 Vaccine Efficacy Drops With Time + Age

It is true that COVID-19 vaccine efficacy is lower in older people, due to their body’s reduced immune response to new antigens.

It is also true that studies have shown that COVID-19 vaccine efficacy will wane with time, but even with reduced efficacy, they continue to offer strong protection against hospitalisation and death.

What this mean is the elderly and the immunocompromised may require a booster dose to enhance their immune system’s ability to fight against COVID-19.

Think of the booster dose as a refresher course for your COVID-19 self-defence class!

Read more : Why Delaying AstraZeneca Dose 2 INCREASES Efficacy?

Fact #5 : Delta Variant Do NOT Have Different Symptoms

Generally, patients infected the Delta variant exhibit the SAME SYMPTOMS as other COVID-19 variants :

  • fever
  • sore throat
  • nasal congestion
  • breathing difficulties
  • headache

What’s different appears to be the prevalence of these symptoms.

According to the ZOE COVID Symptom Study, patients with the Delta variant appear to experience MORE fever, headache, nasal congestion and sore throat and LESS cough and loss of smell.

Fact #6 : Delta Variant Is More Transmissible + Deadly

The Delta variant is approximately 50% more transmissible than the Alpha variant, which itself is 50% more transmissible than the original SARS-CoV-2 strain.

It has also shown to be partially resistant to vaccines, and more deadly – leading to more hospitalisations and deaths.

Read more : Why Delta Variant Causes MORE Breakthrough Infections!

Fact #7 : Delta Variant Does Not Skip The Nasopharynx

The Delta variant has “greater affinity” for the mucosal lining of the lungs, which means it is more capable than other variants to infect the lungs.

However, it does not mean that the Delta variant “directly affects the lungs”, as the viral message claims.

The SARS-CoV-2 virus is immobile, and travels through droplets and aerosols that we breathe in. It is not a homing missile that goes in search of a particular target.

As the air we breathe passes through the nasopharynx before it reaches the lungs, that is where most of the virus ends up, and that is why we swab the nasopharynx to detect COVID-19.

Fact #8 : Nasopharyngeal Swab Still Picks Up Delta Variant

The current standard of obtaining a nasopharyngeal swab to detect the presence of the SARS-CoV-2 virus still works for the Delta variant.

That is how Delta variant patients are detected. In fact, genomic testing to confirm the Delta variant is performed on nasopharyngeal swab samples.

As explained in Fact #7, the coronavirus is carried by droplets and aerosols that has to pass through the nasopharynx before reaching the lungs.

So unless the patient breathes exclusively through the mouth, the nasopharynx is the best place to obtain samples of the SARS-CoV-2 virus.

Fact #9 : Current Tests Still Detect Delta Variant

Both the rt-PCR test and the Rapid Antigen Test continue to detect all COVID-19 variants, including the Delta variant.

While Rapid Antigen Test may deliver more false negative results, it is rare for the “gold standard” rt-PCR test to deliver a false negative result, and extremely rare to deliver two false negative results.

Fact #10 : COVID-19 Precautions Apply To All Variants

The COVID-19 precautions mentioned in the viral message are NOT unique to the Delta variant. They apply to all COVID-19 variants.

Please SHARE this fact check article with your family and friends, so they won’t get fooled by COVID-19 fake news!

Israel In Trouble For NOT Using Vaccines From China?!

Is Israel in trouble with the Delta variant of COVID-19 because they did not use vaccines from China?

Take a look at the viral warning, and find out what the FACTS really are!

Claim : Israel In Trouble For NOT Using Vaccines From China!

This warning has gone viral on WhatsApp, claiming that Israel is in trouble with the Delta variant because they opted to use the Pfizer and Moderna mRNA vaccines, instead of superior vaccines from China.

The viral warning is quite long, so just skip to the next section for the FACTS!

Israel DOES NOT use China vaccines at all,
but Israel uses only Moderna+Pfizzer vaccines, and that is why Israel has record number of daily cases now, and the number of daily cases in Israel is now higher than before vaccination started, and the vast majority of Israel people have already been vaccinated .

The reason for the failure to stop virus spread in Israel and also in Singapore,
is because Moderna+Pfizzer vaccines, are NOT EFFECTIVE against the delta variant, and the effectiveness will keep dropping every month.

Both Israel and Singapore made the same mistake, of naively and trusting in full, the USA fake news media claim, that wildly overstate the effectiveness of vaccines like Moderna+Pfizzer vaccines, and the same USA fake news media FALSELY CLAIM that China vaccines are not effective, but in the real world, China vaccines turn out to be the most effective, especially against the Delta variant .

Truth : Vaccines From China Will NOT Help Israel With Delta Variant!

The truth is – vaccines from China will not help Israel with the Delta variant of COVID-19.

Chinese COVID-19 vaccines are decent, but they are NOT very effective against the Delta variant.

This is just another piece of Chinese propaganda, and here are the reasons why…

Fact #1 : Israel Showed That Lockdowns Work

In their first wave, Israel declared a national state of emergency on 19 March 2020, and underwent a strict lockdown with travel restrictions.

In their second wave, they announced another set of lockdown measures from July to September 2020, which rapidly cut down the numbers by end of October 2020.

In their third wave, Israel initiated their third nationwide lockdown on 27 December 2020, which they started lifting in March 2021.

Fact #2 : Israel Reopened Too Quickly + Too Early

By June 2021, masking was no longer required even indoors, and there are currently very few restrictions in Israel.

In spite of their high vaccination rate – 61.1% of their population are fully vaccinated – Israel has not achieved herd immunity.

Unfortunately, they got complacent and opened up too early. Coupled with the more transmissible Delta variant, this led to their fourth wave.

Read more : Delta Variant Of COVID-19 Can Infect In Seconds!

Fact #3 : Delta Variant Causes More Breakthrough Infections

We have known since June 2021 that the Delta variant of COVID-19 is partially-resistant to vaccines.

This allows it to cause more breakthrough infections, especially for those who are partially-vaccinated.

This is more of a problem for the AstraZeneca vaccine, and much less for the Pfizer vaccine used in Israel and Singapore.

Read more : Why Delta Variant Causes MORE Breakthrough Infections!

COVID-19
Variant
Pfizer AstraZeneca
1 Dose 2 Doses 1 Dose 2 Doses
Alpha (UK) 50% 93% 50% 66%
Delta (India) 33% 88% 33% 60%

Fact #4 : Vaccines Protect Against Hospitalisation + Death!

While the Delta variant can cause more breakthrough infections, COVID-19 vaccines offer excellent protection against hospitalisation and death.

What this means is fully-vaccinated people can get infected by COVID-19, but they will usually experience a mild or even asymptomatic disease.

COVID-19
Variant
Pfizer AstraZeneca
1 Dose 2 Doses 1 Dose 2 Doses
Alpha (UK) 83% 95% 76% 86%
Delta (India) 94% 96% 71% 92%

Fact #5 : Sinovac CoronaVac Is LESS Effective

A large Brazilian preprint study was just released, comparing the efficacy of the Sinovac vaccine against the AstraZeneca vaccine.

This study which involved 60.5 million people confirmed that the Sinovac CoronaVac vaccine was less effective than the AstraZeneca Vaxzevria vaccine.

Even so, I must point out that the Sinovac vaccine offers significant protection against hospitalisation and death that unvaccinated people are at risk of.

Read more : AstraZeneca vs. Sinovac : Efficacy Against Gamma Variant

Protection Against AstraZeneca Sinovac
Infection 70.0% 54.2%
Hospitalisation 86.8% 72.6%
ICU Admission 88.1% 74.2%
Death 90.2% 74.0%

Fact #6 : Sinopharm BIBP Is LESS Effective

A recent study in Bahrain involving 1.24 million participants showed that the Sinopharm BIBP vaccine was less effective than the Pfizer Comirnaty vaccine, especially against the Delta variant.

The study showed that the Pfizer mRNA vaccine was 2.5X better at preventing infection, 10X better at preventing hospitalisation, 28.5X better at avoiding ICU admission and 7.5X better at preventing death.

But I must point out that the Sinopharm vaccine itself does a great job at preventing hospitalisation, ICU admission and death, compared to unvaccinated people.

It is just not as effective as the Pfizer vaccine, especially against the Delta variant.

Cases Per 100K
Per Week
Pfizer Sinopharm Unvaccinated
Infection 136.3 350.5 643.0
Hospitalisation 2.8 28.4 51.1
ICU Admission 0.08 2.29 6.39
Death 0.22 1.64 4.42

Fact #7 : China’s Success Due To Lockdown, Not Vaccines

China successfully kept COVID-19 cases flat since March 2020 through extremely strict lockdowns and preventive measures. This allowed them to avoid multiple waves that have afflicted many countries around the world.

We know that their success had nothing to do with the superiority of Chinese vaccines, because China itself has been busy exporting vaccines instead of using them.

Despite being the first to approve a COVID-19 vaccine (from Sinopharm), China only vaccinated 24 million people (1.6%) by the end of January 2021.

They have since ramped up vaccination, after India’s Delta variant crisis rattled them. But their continued success in preventing another COVID-19 wave has, currently, little to do with their vaccines.

Fact #8 : China To Offer mRNA Booster Dose For Sinovac + Sinopharm Vaccines

In July 2021, Caixin Global reported that China is planning to offer the Pfizer Comirnaty mRNA vaccine as a booster dose for citizens vaccinated with the Sinovac and Sinopharm vaccines.

This decision came after Chinese CDC deputy director Dr. Feng Zijian said that two Chinese COVID-19 vaccines are “less effective” against the Delta variant, compared to other strains.

This is a tacit acknowledgement by the Chinese government that the Sinovac and Sinopharm vaccines are not working well against the Delta variant.

Singapore Autopsy Of COVID-19 Patients Fact Check!

Did Singapore conduct an autopsy that confirmed COVID-19 is not a virus, but a bacterium that causes blood clotting?!

Take a look at this new viral message, and find out what the FACTS really are!

Updated @ 2021-09-13 : Updated with Chinese version, and some small updates.
Updated @ 2021-08-23 : Updated with additional information.

Claim : Autopsy In Singapore Confirmed COVID-19 Is Not A Virus!

This new WhatsApp message claims that an autopsy in Singapore has finally proven that COVID-19 is not a virus, but bacteria that causes blood clotting!

It’s rather long, so skip to the next section for the facts!

Singapore has become the first country in the world to perform an autopsy (post-mortem) for a Covid-19 corpse. After a thorough investigation, it was. discovered that Covid-19 does not exist as a virus, but rather a bacterium that has been exposed to radiation and causes human death by coagulation in the blood.

Covid-19 disease has been found to cause blood clotting, which causes blood clotting in humans and causes blood clotting in the veins, which makes it difficult for a person to breathe because the brain, heart and lungs cannot receive oxygen, causing people to die quickly.

Singapore COVID-19 Autopsy : Same Bullshit, Different Country

If you thought this viral message was familiar, that’s because it’s the SAME BULLSHIT that went viral earlier, just swapping out Russia for Singapore and some other changes.

Like 95% of viral messages on COVID-19 – this is yet another piece of FAKE NEWS based on some facts.

Let’s examine each claim and find out what the facts really are!

Fact #1 : First COVID-19 Autopsies Were Conducted In China

Wuhan was the epicentre of the COVID-19 epidemic in China, and it was there that the first patients died, and where the first autopsies were conducted.

A forensics team from the Tongji Medical College of the Huazhong University of Science and Technology conducted the first autopsy of a COVID-19 patient on 16 February 2020.

By 24 February 2020, they conducted a total of nine autopsies – the results of which was published in the Journal of Forensic Medicine.

Fact #2 : There Is No WHO Protocol Forbidding Autopsies

There is no WHO protocol that forbids autopsies of any person who died from COVID-19, or any other disease.

The World Health Organisation is an international advisory body. It has no power over individual countries, and therefore, cannot ban post-mortem autopsies in any country.

In fact, the WHO itself published guidelines on how to perform autopsies and manage the bodies of dead COVID-19 patients.

Fact #3 : COVID-19 Is Caused By SARS-CoV-2 Virus

COVID-19 is technically not a virus.

COVID-19 is the disease caused by a new coronavirus, which was initially called 2019-nCoV, before being officially named as SARS-CoV-2.

Fact #4 : SARS-CoV-2 Is A Real Virus

We know that the SARS-CoV-2 is a real virus, because Chinese scientists isolated it and with the help of the University of Sydney in Australia, released a draft sequence of its genome on 10 January 2020.

The complete genome of approximately 30 kilobytes in length was published on 3 February 2020.

You can look at the entire SARS-CoV-2 viral genome that was released by Chinese scientists here.

SARS-CoV-2 genome diagram. Credit : Rohan Bir Singh, MD

Fact #5 : A Virus Is Not A Bacterium

Any half-decent student of biology can tell you that a virus is not a bacterium. They are completely different.

A virus, for example, is not even a living organism. It is just RNA or DNA encapsulated within a protein or lipid shell, and can only replicate within a host cell.

A bacterium, on the other hand, is a single-celled microorganism that can multiply by itself. It is also much more complex, with intracellular organelles and even extracellular appendages.

SARS-CoV-2 – the COVID-19 coronavirus – is a virus, not a bacterium.

Fact #6 : Apronik Does Not Exist

The drug, Apronik, that was mentioned in the viral message does not exist!

Fact #7 : There Is No Cure For COVID-19 (Right Now)

As of 13 September 2021, there is no cure for COVID-19. Only vaccines that can help prevent it.

Antibiotics, anti-inflammatory, or anti-coagulant medication cannot cure COVID-19.

Hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin cannot cure COVID-19.

Both aspirin and paracetamol are painkillers, and they won’t cure COVID-19.

Fact #8 : Low Dose Aspirin Does Not Prevent COVID-19

100 mg is actually a low dose for aspirin, which is normally given in the form of 325 mg or 500 mg tablets to adults.

Many people already take low-dose aspirin (also called baby aspirin) – usually 81 mg – to reduce the risk of heart attacks or strokes.

However, that has not prevented any of them from being infected with COVID-19.

Fact #9 : COVID-19 Can Cause Blood Clotting

COVID-19 can cause a hypercoagulable state, in which a severe inflammatory response triggers localised blood clotting which can become generalised.

It is especially common in severe COVID-19 disease, and has nothing to do with a bacterium, or radiation.

When a COVID-19 patient presents with blood clots, they are treated with blood thinners like aspirin and heparin.

Now that you know the truth, please SHARE this fact check with your family and friends, so they won’t get fooled by this fake news.

COVID-19 is a dangerous disease. Protect yourself and your family – get vaccinated against COVID-19!

Are Chinese Vaccines The Most Effective Vs. Delta Variant?

Are Chinese vaccines the most effective vaccines against the Delta variant of COVID-19?

Find out what just went viral, and what the facts really are!

Claim : Chinese Vaccines Are The Most Effective Against Delta Variant!

This message has gone viral on WhatsApp, claiming that Chinese vaccines are superior to the Pfizer and Moderna mRNA vaccines, and are in fact, the most effective vaccines against Delta variant!

It is quite long, so just skip to the next section for the FACTS!

Truth : Chinese Vaccines Are Not The Most Effective Vs. Delta Variant

The truth is – Chinese COVID-19 vaccines are decent, but they are hardly the most efficacious vaccines in the market.

And they are definitely NOT the most effective vaccines against the Delta variant.

Fact #2 : Israel Currently Has Few COVID-19 Restrictions

COVID-19

Pfizer AstraZeneca
1 Dose 2 Doses 1 Dose 2 Doses
Alpha (UK) 50% 93% 50% 66%
Delta (India) 33% 88% 33% 60%

Fact #4 : Vaccines Protect Against Hospitalisation + Death!

While the Delta variant can cause more breakthrough infections, COVID-19 vaccines offer excellent protection against hospitalisation and death.

What this means is the fully-vaccinated people who get infected by COVID-19 will usually experience a mild or even asymptomatic disease.

COVID-19

Did Malaysia Approve Ivermectin For COVID-19?!

Did Malaysia just approve ivermectin for COVID-19 treatment? Find out what the FACTS really are!

Claim : Malaysia Approved Ivermectin For COVID-19!

This is the viral message that is circulating on WhatsApp, with a link to a FreeMalaysiaToday article, called “Hospitals can apply for ‘off-label use’ of Ivermectin, says health ministry“.

It is very long, so just skip to the next section for the facts!

Woohoo!! GOOD NEWS!! IVERMECTIN is being recognised!!

Malaysia bucks the tide of heavy Pharma lobby and Approves IVERMECTIN!!

Truth : Malaysia Did Not Approve Ivermectin For COVID-19!

The truth is this is an “updated” combination of two prior fake news :

This time, the fake news creator blatantly claims that Malaysia has approved ivermectin for the treatment of COVID-19.

The entire piece is nothing but fake news, and here are the facts…

Fact #1 : Malaysia Did Not Approve Ivermectin To Treat COVID-19

First, it must be made clear – Malaysia did NOT approve ivermectin as a COVID-19 treatment or prophylaxis.

You cannot legally get a prescription for ivermectin to treat COVID-19 in Malaysia. In fact,  it is ILLEGAL to sell ivermectin for human use in Malaysia.

Read more : Illegal Ivermectin Sale : Up to RM50K Fine + 5 Years Jail!

Fact #2 : Hospitals Have To APPLY To Use Ivermectin To Treat COVID-19

The Malaysia Ministry of Health (KKM) did not “allow” hospitals to use ivermectin as an “off-label” treatment of COVID-19.

They only said that hospitals can APPLY to the Drug Control Agency (DCA) for the “off-label” use of ivermectin.

KKM also said that the use of off-label medication “must be done in a monitored environment“.

Fact #3 : Off-Label Application Has Long Existed

The ability for hospitals to apply for off-label use of medications have long existed.

This permission to apply for off-label use isn’t something new, or exclusive to ivermectin.

Read more : Ivermectin Triple Therapy by Professor Borody!

Fact #4 : Informed Patient Consent Is Required

As off-label use of medicine can be detrimental to the patient, it is important for the doctor to inform the patient of the risks and obtain his/her consent.

The treating physician in the hospital is required to fully explain the risks to the patient, who must then consent to the off-label use of ivermectin before it can be administered.

The signed consent form is then kept as part of the patient’s record.

Fact #5 : Ivermectin Mechanism Of Action Has Not Been Determined

The person who wrote the fake message claimed that ivermectin acts against COVID-19 in 3 ways. Its mechanism of action is currently unconfirmed.

There is no evidence that ivermectin will disrupt virus replication, which occurs after the cell is infected.

There is also no evidence that ivermectin will “flush out the viral debris”, or that it is the dead virus that causes a cytokine storm.

And there is also no evidence that the (proposed) anti-inflammatory properties of ivermectin can heal tissue damage.

Fact #6 : COVID-19 Breathing Difficulties Caused By Pneumonia + ARDS

The fake news writer claims that ivermectin helps to “ease the air duct congestion“. It suggests that he/she falsely believes that COVID-19 creates asthma-like breathing difficulties.

Breathing difficulty in COVID-19 is caused by pneumonia and/or ARDS (Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome).

COVID-19 causes damage to the blood vessels, causing them to fluid into your lungs. The fluid fills the air sacs in your lungs, which limits their ability to take in oxygen.

You start getting breathless and ARDS develops, leaving you unable to breathe on your own. This is when you require oxygen support, or mechanical ventilation.

Fact #7 : Ivermectin Has Not Been Proven To Work Against COVID-19

Ivermectin has been shown to work against COVID-19 in vitro studies (labs studies), but does NOT improve clinical outcomes or prevent transmission.

That is why the WHO and practically the vast majority of health authorities around the world do NOT advocate using ivermectin to prevent or treat COVID-19.

Read more : Latest Ivermectin COVID-19 Study : What Does It Really Say?

Fact #8 : Ivermectin Has Not Been Tested Against COVID-19 Variants

The fake news writer claims that with ivermectin “all those scary new variants don’t have to be scary anymore.

What he/she left out was the fact that ivermectin has NOT been tested against COVID-19 variants!

In fact, the Internet’s most prominent cheerleader of ivermectin – Dr. Pierre Kory, was infected by COVID-19 despite being on FLCCC ivermectin prophylaxis!

Other people who took ivermectin to protect against COVID-19 ended up dying, or developed severe COVID-19!

Read more : Dr. Pierre Kory Gets COVID-19 Despite Taking Ivermectin!

Fact #9 : Ivermectin Isn’t That Safe

The fake news writer claimed that “In 30 years of using ivermectin for humans, there have been minimal reports of adverse reactions.

That’s probably because no one has been stupid enough to self-medicate using ivermectin!

Now that so many people are self-medicating with ivermectin, we are getting reports of :

In fact, it is DANGEROUS for people like Major Mior Rosli and Dr. Kenny Yong to claim that it is safe to take 10 or 15 ivermectin tablets!

Read more : FLCCC Allegedly Said 15 Ivermectin Tablets Safe To Take?!

Fact #10 : 32 Countries Are Not Using Ivermectin To Combat COVID-19

There is no evidence that 32 countries have officially used ivermectin to combat COVID-19, much less reported any success with it.

Countries that ivermectin proponents have been promoting – India, Peru, Mexico, Chile, Brazil, South Africa – have all failed to control COVID-19.

Just look at their COVID-19 case numbers below. Does it look like ivermectin helped them at all?

In fact, India dropped the use of ivermectin on 27 May 2021, after it proved to be ineffective against their COVID-19 surge.

Read more : MAECC Ivermectin Briefing : Control COVID-19 In 6 Weeks?

Fact #11 : Current Vaccines Offer Good Protection Against Delta Variant

Major Rosli’s claim that current vaccines do not protect against the more dangerous Delta variant is FALSE.

Public Health England’s data have shown that the Pfizer and AstraZeneca vaccines offer robust protection against the Delta variant, after two doses.

Read more : Why Delta Variant Causes MORE Breakthrough Infections!

Fact #12 : Australia Does Not Use Ivermectin Against COVID-19

Australia does NOT use ivermectin to prevent or treat COVID-19.

Here is the 1 June 2021 conclusion on ivermectin by the Australian Department of Health :

There is currently insufficient evidence to support the safe and effective use of ivermectin, doxycycline and zinc (either separately, or in combination) for the prevention or treatment of COVID-19.

More robust, well-designed clinical trials are needed before they could be considered an appropriate treatment option.

Fact #13 : Singapore Does Not Use Ivermectin Against COVID-19

Singapore does NOT use ivermectin to prevent or treat COVID-19.

Here is the 18 June 2020 conclusion from the Singapore Ministry of Health’s COVID-19 Rapid Review :

There is insufficient high-quality evidence to show chloroquine or hydroxychloroquine are effective for post-exposure prophylaxis or treatment of COVID-19.

Instead, evidence to date suggests the use of these agents is associated with more harms than standard of care.

Ivermectin Claims by TUDM Officers Fact Check!

Are the claims on ivermectin made by a TUDM Brigadier-General and TUDM Major accurate?

Let’s take a look at the viral ivermectin claims by these TUDM officers, and find out what the FACTS really are!

Ivermectin Claims by TUDM Brigadier-General + Major

A message on ivermectin purportedly to be by a retired TUDM Brigadier-General and a retired TUDM major has gone viral on WhatsApp.

The message is long, so just skip to the next section for the FACTS.

(07/07, 02:12) BG Dato Goh Seng Toh TUDM: Am very happy today cos my friend’s wife who was tested Covid 19 positive was declared cleared of the Covid19 virus by the doctor at the Government Quarantined Centre this morning. She was on Ivermectin, vitamin C, fresh fruits and simple foods for 5 days. She was so happy. Please consider taking Ivermectin with vitamin C and zinc if any of your family members is infected with Covid19 virus. Early treatment with Ivermectin is even better. Don’t wait until stage 3 or 4

We do like to read but listen to so called experts.. but most of the experts are half past six and bogus..

We have to change our paradigm if we want to be a developed country..

– Maj Mior Rosli.
7Jul 21.

Ivermectin Claims by TUDM Officers : What Are The Facts?

TUDM Brigadier-General Dato Goh Seng Toh and Major Mior Rosli from TUDM (Royal Malaysia Air Force) made a number of amazing claims about ivermectin.

So let’s go through their ivermectin claims, and see what the FACTS really are…

Claim #1 : Ivermectin + Vitamin C + Zinc Works Against COVID-19
Verdict : FALSE

TUDM Brigadier-General Dato Goh Seng Toh is advising all of us to “consider taking ivermectin with vitamin C and zinc“, but provides no evidence for their efficacy against COVID-19.

Ivermectin has been shown to work against COVID-19 in lab (in vitro) studies, but does NOT improve clinical outcomes or prevent transmission.

That is why the WHO and the vast majority of health authorities around the world DO NOT advocate using ivermectin to prevent or treat COVID-19.

Read more : Latest Ivermectin COVID-19 Study : What Does It Really Say?

Claim #2 : MoH Allows Prescription Of Ivermectin For COVID-19 Treatment
Verdict : Misleading

The Malaysia Ministry of Health does NOT allow the prescription of ivermectin for COVID-19 treatment.

However, they allow hospitals to apply to the Drug Control Agency (DCA) for the “off-label” use of ivermectin, which “must be done in a monitored environment“.

So you cannot simply get a prescription for ivermectin. Neither can you buy it online or over-the-counter.

Be warned – the illegal sale of ivermectin is punishable by fines of up to RM50K and/or 5 years jail!

Read more : Can Hospitals In Malaysia Use Ivermectin To Treat COVID-19?
Read more : Illegal Ivermectin Sale : Up to RM50K Fine + 5 Years Jail!

Claim #3 : 32 Countries Used Ivermectin To Combat COVID-19
Verdict : FALSE

There is no evidence that 32 countries have officially used ivermectin to combat COVID-19, much less reported any success with it.

Countries that ivermectin proponents have been promoting – India, Peru, Mexico, Chile, Brazil, South Africa – have all failed to control COVID-19.

Just look at their COVID-19 case numbers below. Does it look like ivermectin helped them at all? Is it therefore surprising to learn that on 27 May 2021, India dropped ivermectin?

Read more : MAECC Ivermectin Briefing : Control COVID-19 In 6 Weeks?

Claim #4 : It Is Safe To Take 10 Ivermectin Tablets At One Go
Verdict : Misleading

TUDM Major Mior Rosli claimed that it is safe to take 10 ivermectin tablets at one go. That’s potentially dangerous advice, because ivermectin tablets come in different doses, and the proper dosage is tied to body weight.

A 2002 study on ivermectin safety showed that it was safe at up to 120 mg in a single dose. This is 10X the FDA-approved dose of 200 micrograms per kg for a 60 kg healthy adult.

However, the study did not look at taking such a large dose of ivermectin on a continuous basis, only a single dose.

In addition, self-medicating with ivermectin can lead to overdosing because the tablets available in most countries, including Malaysia, are formulated for animal use.

In February 2021, Julie Weber, President of the American Association of Poison Control Centers and the director of the Missouri Poison Center warned that people are getting poisoned by fake COVID-19 cures like hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin.

The Missouri Poison Center also issued a warning :

There have been reports of intentional ivermectin overdoses which can cause serious symptoms such as seizures, coma, lung and heart problems.

Claim #5 : Ivermectin Kills Any COVID-19 Variant
Verdict : FALSE

TUDM Major Rosli claimed that ivermectin kills any COVID-19 variant. That’s FALSE, because ivermectin does not actually “kill” the SARS-CoV-2 virus.

Ivermectin has been shown to inhibit the SARS-CoV-2 virus, but that’s not the same thing as killing it.

Just because I blocked you from entering my home, does that mean I killed you? Of course not!

Several mechanisms of action has been proposed for ivermectin, none of which actually involves killing the virus :

  • inhibiting the host cell’s importin alpha/beta-1 nuclear transport proteins
  • interfering with the attachment of the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein
  • exhibiting anti-inflammatory properties

Claim #6 : Current Vaccines Do Not Protect Against Delta Variant
Verdict : FALSE

Major Rosli’s claim that current vaccines do not protect against the more dangerous Delta variant is FALSE.

Public Health England’s data have shown that the Pfizer and AstraZeneca vaccines offer robust protection against the Delta variant, after two doses.

Claim #7 : India Used Ivermectin To Control Delta Variant
Verdict : FALSE

That’s not true. India had earlier adopted ivermectin for use in mild or asymptomatic COVID-19, but that is no longer the case.

On 27 May 2021, India dropped ivermectin, hydroxychloroquine and favipiravir, azithromycin, doxycycline, zinc and even plasma therapy after they proved to be INEFFECTIVE against COVID-19.

Claim #8 : Philippines Allowed Ivermectin To Be Used
Verdict : Misleading

As it so happened, I watched the Philippines Committee on Good Government and Public Accountability bully the Filipino Secretary of Health, Francisco Tiongson Duque III in the HR 1711 public hearing.

Just like in Malaysia, the Philippines already allows hospitals to apply for off-label use of medicine.

So what Secretary Duque did was agree to clarify that there is an existing CSP (Compassionate Special Permit) that doctors can apply for.

Claim #9 : Australia Is Using Ivermectin Against COVID-19
Verdict : FALSE

Australia does NOT use ivermectin to prevent or treat COVID-19.

Here is the 1 June 2021 conclusion on ivermectin by the Australian Department of Health :

There is currently insufficient evidence to support the safe and effective use of ivermectin, doxycycline and zinc (either separately, or in combination) for the prevention or treatment of COVID-19.

More robust, well-designed clinical trials are needed before they could be considered an appropriate treatment option.

Claim #10 : Singapore Is Using Ivermectin Against COVID-19
Verdict : FALSE

Singapore does NOT use ivermectin to prevent or treat COVID-19.

Here is the 18 June 2020 conclusion from the Singapore Ministry of Health’s COVID-19 Rapid Review :

There is insufficient high-quality evidence to show chloroquine or hydroxychloroquine are effective for post-exposure prophylaxis or treatment of COVID-19.

Instead, evidence to date suggests the use of these agents is associated with more harms than standard of care.

Fact Check : COVID-19 Vaccine Advice By Singapore Doctor?

Take a look at the viral COVID-19 vaccination advice from a doctor in Singapore, and find out what the FACTS really are!

COVID-19 Vaccination Advice By Singapore Doctor?

This is the COVID-19 vaccination advice from a doctor in Singapore that has gone viral on WhatsApp.

Got this from Singapore:

Before you guys go for Covid vaccination injection, please have a proper meal. Do not go with an empty stomach.

Have a cup (250cc) of warm water too. These will greatly reduce the discomforts, side effects arising from the injection. After vaccination, while resting, have another cup (250cc) of warm or room temperature water.

Remember, do not drink cold drinks before or after injection. This procedure is especially important for the 2nd injection as the discomforts, side effects are relatively more compared to the 1st injection.

Pass this message to your family members and friends.
Stay safe.

After vaccine, Singapore Doctor advised the following:

1. No walking / exercise for next 5 days. Take proper rest at home.

2. The vaccination will have its proper effect after 2 weeks post the second dose, so do not start behaving carefree and start roaming around. So be extremely careful and possibly stay at home till 2 weeks are over post the second dose.

3. There will be slight fever post vaccination, but if the fever persists till 3rd day…then get him to hospital.

I am not sure whether most senior citizens would be aware of these post vaccination dos and don’ts (like take rest and don’t exercise). So sharing this for the benefit of the senior citizens who got vaccinated.

COVID-19 Vaccination Advice By Singapore Doctor : More Viral BS

First of all, just because a viral message says that the advice was given by a doctor in Singapore does not mean :

a) it was actually given by a doctor in Singapore.
b) it must be true because a Singapore doctor said so.

The truth is – this is yet another piece of viral fake news circulating on WhatsApp. And here are the facts…

Fact #1 : Have A Meal Before Getting Vaccinated

Frankly, having a meal before getting any vaccination is NOT necessary.

Did you ever bother to have a meal before the many other vaccinations in the past? So why should we have a meal before getting vaccinated against COVID-19?

This advice though is now necessary because of the fear and anxiety that has permeated COVID-19 vaccinations.

Having a meal before vaccination can help avoid fainting after vaccination – what’s known as a vasovagal syncope.

You may recall the American nurse who fainted after her vaccination and declared dead by antivaxxers? She had a vasovagal syncope.

You do not have to have a full or large meal. Just a snack would do. Eat something that brings you comfort, which would relieve any anxiety you may feel.

Recommended : Did This Nurse Faint After Getting Pfizer COVID-19 Vaccine?

Fact #2 : Drinking Water Does Not Prevent Postvaccination Syncope

Now, a 2017 study showed that even drinking 250 ml or 500 ml of water before vaccination did NOT reduce the risk of presyncope (feeling lightheaded / dizzy) or syncope (fainting).

So the Singapore doctor’s advice to drink 250 ml of water before COVID-19 vaccination is not based on evidence. Neither is the advice to drink another 250 ml of water after vaccination.

That said, it is important to stay hydrated before and after vaccination, because dehydration can exacerbate any side effect you may experience.

You do not have to drink any specific amount of water. Just drink enough water to feel refreshed and hydrated.

Fact #3 : Water Is Water, Cold Or Not

The advice not to drink cold water is nonsensical. Water is water, whether it’s cold, room temperature or warm.

The temperature of the water that we consume is “normalised” to our internal body temperature once it reaches our stomach.

So it really does not matter whether you have a cool drink on a hot day, or a warm drink on a cold day, before you get vaccinated.

Fact #4 : Don’t Leave After Vaccination

Vasovagal syncope itself is not dangerous, but you can get injured if it happens while you are standing or walking.

Certain COVID-19 vaccines, like the Pfizer and Moderna mRNA vaccines, can trigger a severe allergic reaction in very rare cases.

That’s why it is important that you do NOT leave right after getting vaccinated against COVID-19.

You will be asked to stay in an observation room for 15-30 minutes, before you are allowed to leave.

If you are feeling particularly anxious or worried about the vaccine, you can stay a little longer.

Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong getting his COVID-19 vaccination

Fact #5 : Side Effects More Common With Second Dose

The second dose of a vaccine will generally produce more side effects, but that does not mean it’s more dangerous.

The first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine teaches your body how to identify the SARS-CoV-2 virus, so your body can learn how to make antibodies against it.

The second dose basically gives your immune system a kick, telling it, “This is not a one-time infection. It’s dangerous!

It triggers memory B cells to remember the SARS-CoV-2 antigen, and a more robust response by the immune system.

It is this heightened immune response that produces the side effects – fever, headache, fatigue, etc.

This is how our immune system learns to protect us from COVID-19.

Fact #5 : Call The Hospital First About Side Effects

The advice to head to the hospital if your post-vaccination fever persists beyond two days is nonsensical.

We all have different immune responses to the vaccine, so you don’t have to worry if you only have a mild fever even if it persists to the third day.

If you are worried about any side effect, contact the health authorities or the hospital first.

Let them advise you on what to do, whether they should send an ambulance or you should continue to monitor your condition at home.

DO NOT just go to the hospital by yourself, as the Singapore doctor advised.

You could expose yourself to COVID-19 from people who are seeking treatment but unaware that they are positive for COVID-19.

Fact #6 : You Can Carry On With Your Life After Vaccination

Let me be clear – you were just vaccinated against COVID-19, not convicted of a crime.

There is no need to refrain from walking or exercise for 5 days, as this Singapore doctor advises.

If healthcare workers who were vaccinated can carry on with their daily work, you too can carry on with your life after your COVID-19 vaccination.

Recommended : Two Doctors Share Their COVID-19 Vaccination Experiences!

Fact #7 : You Must Continue To Take COVID-19 Precautions

Even after you receive the second dose, you must continue to take COVID-19 precautions.

The Singapore doctor is correct that generally, you will only get maximum protection from the vaccine about two weeks after the second dose.

This varies with the vaccine, of course, but the point is – it takes time for your immune system to boost its response to the vaccine.

So you must continue to take COVID-19 vaccine precautions even after you receive your second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Fact #8 : We Must Take Precautions Until Herd Immunity Achieved

Vaccines are like training boot camps for our immune system, teaching it how to identify and fight against pathogens.

And while your immune system may be trained against COVID-19, it doesn’t mean it will always win the battle. That’s why people are so obsessed with vaccine efficacy rates.

So you could still get infected after being fully vaccinated. This is known as a vaccine breakthrough infection.

The good news is even if it happens to you – it will generally be a much milder disease, and you will likely not need to get hospitalised.

Breakthrough infections happen because there is no herd immunity. So we must continue to take COVID-19 precautions until we achieve herd immunity.

Fact Check : China Lifted KRI Nanggala From 838 Metres?

Did China lift the Indonesian submarine, KRI Nanggala, from the depths when no other country could?

Find out what’s going on, and what the FACTS really are!

Claim : China Lifted KRI Nanggala From 838 Metres!

This viral message has been circulating on WhatsApp, together with a gruesome video showing naked and half-naked bodies of dead men lined up on the floor.

The submerged Indonesian submarine was successfully lifted from a depth of 838 meters, killing 53 people. previously asked for help from neighboring Singapore, Australia, Malaysia. but they were unable to lift from below 800 meters, in the end Indonesia asked the Chinese Government for help. China immediately lifted it with heavy equipment. Finish this job.

We will not show you the video, but we can share this screenshot with you.

China Lifted KRI Nanggala From 838 Metres? Another Fake Story!

This is yet another fake story about the awesomeness of the Chinese government… and here are the facts.

Fact #1 : KRI Nanggala Has Not Been Recovered… Yet

The Chinese Navy has been assisting in the recovery of KRI Nanggala since 4 May 2021, using three ships :

  • Nantuo-195 – an ocean tug
  • Yongxing Dao-865 – an ocean salvage and rescue ship
  • Tan Suo 2 – a scientific research vessel

As of 17 May 2021, they have NOT recovered the Indonesian submarine, KRI Nanggala, or any bodies from the wreck.

Fact #2 : Singapore, Australia, Malaysia Were Not Asked To Recover KRI Nanggala

It is false to claim that Singapore, Australia and Malaysia were asked to help recover KRI Nanggala from the depths of over 800 metres, but failed.

None of those countries were asked to assist in the recovery of KRI Nanggala, so how could they fail at a task they never even attempted?

Recommended : KRI Nanggala Submarine : Was Its Wreck Recovered?

Fact #3 : The Video Is Not Of KRI Nanggala Sailors

The gruesome video was used to imply that the Chinese government recovered the bodies of KRI Nanggala sailors.

After analysing the video, we can safely say that the video does NOT show the bodies of KRI Nanggala sailors.

For one thing – no body from KRI Nanggala has been recovered so far.

Secondly, the KRI Nanggala went down with 53 people onboard, but there are about 100 dead bodies in the video!

Finally, at least three men can be seen wearing the longyi – the Burmese sarong, and one of the men in the video is wearing a vest with Burmese script.

Therefore, the video was very likely taken in Myanmar, and the dead men could well be people killed by the junta after the coup.

Who Would Create Lies About KRI Nanggala???

With China’s aggressive foreign stance in recent years, it is not uncommon to see such fake stories being created and shared.

Some believe it’s part of a concerted attempt to burnish China’s image overseas.

Others believe the many fake stories are being created to drown out the negative coverage of China’s controversial Belt and Road Initiative, and their aggressive moves in the South China Sea.

Whatever the reasons may be, it is our duty as global citizens to stop the proliferation of such fake stories.

Please share this fact check with your friends, so they know the truth!

Mount Elizabeth : Doctor’s Severe Vaccine Reaction Is False!

Mount Elizabeth Hospital has officially refuted claims that their doctor had a severe reaction to the COVID-19 vaccine.

Find out what’s going on, and what the FACTS really are!

Viral Fake News : Doctor Had Severe Vaccine Reaction!

In the past few days, antivaxxers and netizens have been feverishly sharing a post on Facebook and WhatsApp regarding a renown doctor who allegedly suffered a stroke after getting the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine.

From what we understand, the long Facebook post (now deleted) was written by a man called Bun Ngok Fong, who claimed to be the cousin of this doctor.

In addition to claiming that the doctor had a severe reaction to the Pfizer vaccine, he made many other claims that we found to be completely false.

Singaporean People’s Power Party founder Goh Meng Seng then picked up on it, and share it out together with his alarmist claims about vaccine adverse effects.

Due to the dramatic claims they both made, the post went viral on Facebook and WhatsApp.

Out of respect for the family, we will not be sharing that viral post again.

Bun Ngok Fong (left) and Goh Meng Seng (right)

Mount Elizabeth : Doctor’s Severe Vaccine Reaction News Is False!

On 4 April 2021, Mount Elizabeth Hospital issued a short statement refuting Bun Ngok Fong’s Facebook post.

Claim : The Doctor Is Bun Ngok Fong’s Cousin
Verdict : False

In his now-deleted Facebook post, Bun Ngok Fong claimed that the doctor who suffered a stroke from the Pfizer vaccine is his cousin.

However, a friend of the family and Mount Elizabeth Hospital itself clarified that he is not related to their family :

The doctor’s family has also confirmed that the writer is not related to them and has written to Facebook to have the post removed.

Claim : The Doctor Had An Adverse Reaction To The Vaccine
Verdict : False

Bun Ngok Fong claimed that the doctor suffered an adverse reaction to the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine.

Mount Elizabeth Hospital labelled his claims as untrue :

We are aware of a post circulating on Facebook, alleging that one of our doctors had a severe reaction a week after receiving the COVID-19 vaccine.  We wish to clarify that the allegations in the post are untrue.

Doctor’s Family : Please Respect Our Privacy

The doctor’s family is asking everyone to please respect their space and privacy during this difficult time for them.

Bun Ngok Fong either had his post removed by Facebook, or has voluntarily deleted it.

Goh Meng Seng shared Mount Elizabeth Hospital’s clarification, but kept a screenshot of Bun Ngok Fong’s post up.

If you received the viral message about this doctor’s alleged adverse reaction to the Pfizer vaccine, please DO NOT forward it any further.

If necessary, you can share our fact check of the false claims. Otherwise, tell the sender that it’s fake news, and request that they stop sending it out anymore.

Did Dr. Ann Tan Get A Stroke From Pfizer COVID-19 Vaccine?

Did renown fertility specialist Dr. Ann Tan get a stroke from the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine?

Find out what’s the latest viral story on the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, and what the facts really are!

Updated @ 2021-04-06 : Added clarification of Bun Ngok Fong’s relationship to the family

Originally posted @ 2021-04-03

Claim : Dr. Ann Tan Suffered A Stroke From Pfizer COVID-19 Vaccine!

On or just after 25 March 2021, Bun Ngok Fong posted a message on Facebook about his cousin – the renown fertility specialist Dr. Ann Tan of Singapore.

He has since deleted it, but People’s Power Party founder Goh Meng Seng copied and reposted it, while others shared the post in WhatsApp where it went viral :

Dr Ann Tan now warded in ICU of Mount E for brain haemorrhage after taking the vaccine. Confirmed by her cousin’s FB post:

From the FB page of Bun Ngok Fong:

Warning against the Pfizer vaccine.

Truth : Dr. Ann Tan Did Not Get Stroke From Pfizer COVID-19 Vaccine!

We looked into the matter, and the many claims Bun Ngok Fong made in this Facebook post, and here is what we know so far…

Claim #1 : Dr. Ann Tan Suffered A Brain Haemorrhage
Verdict : Likely True

On 25 March 2021, the Women Fertility & Fetal Centre of the Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore posted this notice, with many messages of concern by her patients :

We therefore believe that something serious had indeed happened to Dr. Ann Tan.

Naturally, the hospital will not reveal any details of her condition. We will only know for sure if and when her family publicly announces what had actually happened.

Claim #2 : Dr. Ann Tan Is Bun Ngok Fong’s Cousin
Verdict : False

In his now-deleted Facebook post, Bun Ngok Fong claimed that Dr. Ann Tan is his cousin.

However, a friend of the family and Mount Elizabeth Hospital itself clarified that he is not related to their family :

The doctor’s family has also confirmed that the writer is not related to them and has written to Facebook to have the post removed.

Goh Meng Seng shared Mount Elizabeth Hospital’s clarification, but kept a screenshot of Bun Ngok Fong’s post up.

Bun Ngok Fong (left) and Goh Meng Seng (right)

Claim #3 : Her Brain Haemorrhage Was Due To The Pfizer Vaccine
Verdict : Likely False

Bun Ngok Fong claimed that she suffered a “brain haemorrhage” about “a week or so” after taking the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine.

The Pfizer vaccine is not known to cause an intracerebral haemorrhage. It is known to cause a rare anaphylactic reaction, probably from the PEG (Polyethylene glycol) used to create the lipid nanoparticles that protects the mRNA vaccine.

Only one 60 year-old Japanese woman was known to have died from a brain haemorrhage three days after receiving the Pfizer vaccine. Even that case has not been confirmed to be related to the vaccine.

Tomohiro Morio, a doctor advising the government, said, “The brain haemorrhage that is suspected as a cause is relatively common among people from their 40s to their 60s, and at this time, based on examples overseas, there does not seem to be a link between brain haemorrhages and the coronavirus vaccine.

The doctors treating Dr. Ann Tan will know if her intracerebral haemorrhage was due to other causes like a ruptured aneurysm or AVM (arteriovenous malformation).

This incident also happened at least “a week or so” after her vaccination, and is unlikely to be related to the vaccine. Even so, we should not jump to conclusions until we know more.

The opinion of this man (who is apparently living in Vancouver or Hong Kong) is not substantiated by any evidence whatsoever.

In addition, the Mount Elizabeth Hospital labelled his claims as untrue :

We are aware of a post circulating on Facebook, alleging that one of our doctors had a severe reaction a week after receiving the COVID-19 vaccine.  We wish to clarify that the allegations in the post are untrue.

Claim #4 : The Pfizer-BioNTech Vaccine Is Problematic
Verdict : False

Every vaccine comes with a certain amount of risk. As mentioned earlier, a small number of people will get a severe allergic reaction after vaccination.

However, the claim that the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine is “problematic” is false.

The Pfizer clinical trial data, based on over 40,000 people, showed that it was both safe and effective. The biggest issue identified was a rare anaphylactic reaction to the vaccine – just 11.1 cases per million doses.

Not only is this extremely rare, it can be easily treated with an intramuscular injection of epinephrine. That’s why people are asked to stay 30-60 minutes after getting their Pfizer vaccines.

As of 1 April 2021, over 628 million COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered, and a substantial number are of the Pfizer COMIRNATY vaccine, with very few cases of anaphylaxis.

Claim #5 : The Media Is Concealing The Risks
Verdict : False

Did you know you can actually download the FDA Briefing Document of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine?

It gives you uncensored details of their clinical trial data, so what is there for the media to conceal?

The media makes a good scapegoat for conspiracy theorists who dislike how the media consistently debunk their fake news and false narratives.

The media, for their part, are not perfect. They report on every post-vaccination death or hospitalisation, even if it has not been established that the vaccine is the cause.

Instead of shunning the media or putting them on a pedestal, apply critical thinking and wait for the actual research results.

Claim #6 : Pfizer CEO Declined To Take The Vaccine
Verdict : False

In 14 December 2020, Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla told CNBC that “he and other executives will not cut the line“, as there were limited doses available and the CDC had recommended prioritising healthcare workers and long-term care residents.

Antivaxxers and Sinophiles leaped on his statement, calling it evidence he did not trust his own vaccine.

The truth is he said in the CNBC interview that, “As soon as I can, I will. The only sensitivity here, Meg, is that I don’t want to have an example that I’m cutting the line.”

Albert Bourla received his first dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine in mid February 2021, and his second shot on 10 March 2021.

Claim #7 : Pfizer Vaccine Is Genetic Manipulation
Verdict : False

Pfizer and Modern vaccines are based on mRNA technology, which means they do NOT penetrate the cell nucleus and therefore, cannot possibly change the DNA within.

mRNA itself is also transient, and is automatically disposed by the cell after being used several times. Therefore, the spike proteins it codes for are only created during that short time, not for a lifetime.

You can read more in our article on the Pfizer and Moderna mRNA technology.

Claim #8 : EU Vaccine Passport To Exclude Russian / Chinese Vaccines
Verdict : False

You can download and read the EU proposal for a COVID-19 Digital Green Certificate. It clearly states that:

  • EU countries must accept other countries’ vaccination certificates “under the same conditions
  • This obligation only extends to EU-approved vaccines
  • However, EU countries “can decide to accept other vaccines in addition” to EU-approved vaccines.

Therefore, this COVID-19 Digital Green Certificate will allow EU countries to recognise Russian and Chinese vaccines that have not been approved by the EU.

COVID-19 vaccines from Russia, China and other countries can also seek approval from the European Medicines Agency (EMA), and be automatically qualified for this “vaccine passport”.

Therefore, the claim is categorically FALSE.

Claim #9 : EU Is Promoting Vaccine Apartheid, Forcing Travellers To Use Western Vaccines

Bun Ngok Fong claimed that the EU is promoting vaccine apartheid, and forcing travellers to use Western vaccines.

As we demonstrated above, the EU COVID-19 Digital Green Certificate does no such thing. EU countries can choose to accept Chinese and Russian vaccines.

It is also only fair that the vaccine passport acceptance be reciprocal, and not open only one way.

On the other hand, China resumed processing visas in March 2021, but only if travellers are first vaccinated with Chinese COVID-19 vaccines.

We look forward to Bun Ngok Fong criticising China for promoting vaccine apartheid, and compelling people to get vaccinated with Chinese vaccines, even if they prefer Western vaccines.

We should point out that as of 2 April 2021, the trial data for all four Chinese COVID-19 vaccines have yet to be released publicly.

As we pointed out in our article on choosing COVID-19 vaccines, all approved vaccines will protect you against death and serious COVID-19 disease. But it is really dishonest for Sinophiles to falsely criticise the West for actions perpetuated by China itself.

They should be ashamed of themselves for pushing a false narrative during a global pandemic that has killed over 2.8 million people globally.

Is It Wrong To Laminate Official Documents?

Should you laminate official documents? Or will that invalidate or destroy those documents?

We take a look at this sticky issue, and find out what the facts really are!

Claim : It Is Illegal To Laminate Official Documents!

The availability of cheap heat lamination machines and plastic lamination film make it easy for many people to laminate their official documents against damage.

However, this viral message on social media is warning people that laminating your official documents could invalidate them!

Don’t laminate all official documents

Please inform your aunts, uncles, fathers and relatives or acquaintances …etc

All official documents including birth certificates must not be laminated because it is difficult to know the authenticity of the document, the act will lose its authenticity.

Please use a transparent file holder to store all official documents or certificates. Avoid lamination.

The guy who shared this info, had to apply for fresh title for his land all because he laminated it. Once laminated, considered spoiled or damaged by Government.

Beware! Avoid unnecessary hassle.

Is It Wrong To Laminate Official Documents? It Depends!

Many people laminate their official documents to protect them against damage, but generally, you should NEVER laminate your official documents.

You should only laminate them, when required under certain circumstances.

Here are the facts to help you determine when you should, or should not, laminate your official documents.

Fact #1 : Official Documents Should Not Be Altered In Any Way

You should never alter official documents like birth / death / divorce / marriage certificates, or vehicle / business / property registrations in any way.

This includes gluing them onto cardboard, punching holes in them for filing, or marking on them with a pen.

Fact #2 : Laminating Documents Could Invalidate Them!

Many official documents have embossed security seals and stamps to help prove their authenticity.

When you laminate such documents, the embossed seals and stamps are flattened by the heat and pressure of the lamination process.

This may invalidate those documents, effectively destroying their legal status.

In 2016, a Canadian man was denied a passport because he laminated his Certificate of Canadian Citizenship. He had to secure a new certificate.

Fact #3 : Laminated Documents Are Harder To Scan / Photocopy

Some official documents may come with a QR code, or bar code, imprinted as a security / validation measure.

Once laminated, the reflective plastic surface makes it harder to scan the QR or bar code, as well as to scan or make a photocopy.

Fact #4 : Lamination Films Adhesive May Damage Documents

Many plastic lamination films have an adhesive layer to ensure proper sticking to the paper.

This adhesive increases the risk of tearing if you attempt to delaminate the documents. It could also damage your documents, turning them yellow over time.

Fact #5 : You May Be Required To Laminate Certain Documents

The authorities may require you to laminate your official documents in certain cases. For example, the registration of the birth of a child to a Malaysian parent in Singapore requires a Singapore birth certificate that must be laminated.

To avoid damage to the official document that must be laminated, you can try placing it inside a clear, non-adhesive plastic sleeve, before laminating it.

This would prevent the adhesive from making contact with your document, and allow you to delaminate it without tearing.

CEM014 Eggs : Cook Properly Or Return Them!

Both Singapore and AEON in Malaysia have called for the recall of all eggs stamped with CEM014.

Find out what’s going on, and why you should properly cook all CEM014 eggs, or return them!

Food Recall : All Eggs Stamped With CEM014!

On 19 March 2021, the Singapore Food Agency (SFA) announced a recall of all eggs stamped with CEM014, due to possible Salmonella enteritidis contamination.

On 20 March 2021, AEON in Malaysia followed up with a recall of the same CEM014 eggs in Malaysia, at about 11:17 PM.

These eggs were all produced by Linggi Agriculture Sdn. Bhd. in Melaka, Malaysia.

Customers who purchased these CEM014 eggs should return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.

Can You Still Consume CEM014 Eggs?

The Singapore Food Agency detected Salmonella enteritidis in the CEM014 eggs, which may cause illness if consumed raw or undercooked.

Symptoms of a Salmonella enteritidis infection include fever, abdominal cramps and diarrhoea approximately 12-72 hours after consuming any contaminated food or beverage.

So these eggs can be safely consumed if properly cooked, as the Salmonella enteritidis bacteria is killed by cooking.

In fact, SFA advised “customers who have purchased the affected eggs” to “cook them thoroughly before consumption”.

It is important to point out that washing the affected egg has no effect, as the Salmonella enteritidis bacteria is inside the shell.

This is because Salmonella enteritidis infects the ovaries of hens, and contaminate their eggs before their shells are formed.

Only proper cooking can ensure safe consumption. So either cook these properly, or return them.

Singapore Receives First Batch Of Pfizer COVID-19 Vaccine!

Singapore today received their first batch of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine, making them the first country in Asia to receive it.

Pfizer BNT162b2 : mRNA Vaccine Designed By BioNTech

The Pfizer BNT162b2 vaccine, also known as Tozinameran, is an mRNA vaccine designed by BioNTech.

Like the Modern vaccine, it uses messenger RNA (mRNA) technology to teach our cells to manufacture the SARS-CoV-2 protein spike.

Those SARS-CoV-2 protein spikes will trigger the immune response that teaches our body how to fight the real disease.

Singapore today became the first country in Asia to receive the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine.

The vaccines were transported onboard a Singapore Airlines Cargo Boeing 747-400 freighter, SQ7979, that departed Brussels on 20 December, and arrived in Singapore at 7:55 PM on 21 December 2020.

The vaccines were immediately transferred to the SATS cold chain facility, Coolport, for subsequent storage and ground transportation.

During the flight, the internal temperature of each thermal shipper box was actively tracked on an end-to-end basis. They also measured the sublimation rate of the dry ice in the boxes.
