Interstate Travel Limited Even More After COVID-19 Surge!

The Royal Malaysia Police has decided to limit interstate travel even more, after the recent COVID-19 surge!

Find out what’s being changed!

Interstate Travel Limited Even More After COVID-19 Surge!

The Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Dato’ Sri Acryl Sani expressed great concern over the surge in COVID-19 cases over the last 4 days.

As a result, he ordered a further tightening of travel rules, specifically :

  1. Interstate travel is limited to these situations only :
    a) for work
    b) emergencies
    c) death (immediate family members only – parents, children, brothers and sisters)
    d) to seek medical attention
    e) for education
    f) couples in long-distance relationships
  2. Any police permission granted will be limited to interstate travel from Monday to Thursday only.
Requests for police permission to travel on other days – Friday to Sunday – will not be approved.
Exceptions for this limitation will only be made for :
    a) emergencies
    b) death
    c) couples in long-distance relationships
  3. Interstate travel for social events, including weddings and feasts, are FORBIDDEN, until after Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

This tightening of interstate travel rules come just 3 days after the Inspector-General of Police ordered that interstate travel be limited to 3 circumstances only.

In addition, the Deputy IGP also instructed the police to monitor Ramadan bazaars and night markets. If they are found to have ignored COVID-19 SOP, the police will ask the local authorities to shut them down.

Interstate Travel Allowed For COVID-19 Vaccination!

On 15 April 2021, National Immunisation Programme Coordinating Minister Khairy Jamaluddin announced that interstate travel will be allowed for those helping family members make it to their COVID-19 vaccination appointments.

  • Only one person is allowed to travel interstate to help family members make it to their COVID-19 vaccination appointments.
  • For example, someone working in KL can return to Negeri Sembilan to take his elderly mother for her vaccination.
  • That person will only need to show the vaccination appointment letter at state borders

Note : These scams do not just affect CIMB Bank. In fact, all banks are affected :

Why These CIMB SMS Messages Are Fake

Let us show you how to identify these fake CIMB SMS messages.

If you spot any of these warning signs, BACK OFF and DO NOT PROCEED!

Warning Sign #1 : Grammatical Mistakes

If you carefully read the first SMS messages above, you can easily spot numerous grammatical mistakes. A bank will never send such poorly worded messages to their customers.

However, they may copy the real SMS message from CIMB to trick you into thinking that this is a real transaction. Such fake SMS messages will have proper grammar.

Warning Sign #2 : Embedded Links

Banks will NEVER embed links (URLs) into the message. If you see embedded links, always think – SCAM SMS!

Unlike the Public Bank SMS scam, they used a copy of the real SMS message to trick you into clicking the URL in the first message.

Warning Sign #3 : Wrong Links

And always check the link – www.cimbclickikm.cc and cimbclicksecurity.com are not the correct addresses for the CIMB Bank websites (www.cimbclicks.com.my or www.cimb.com.my).

The best policy is to manually key in the bank website address. NEVER click on any link in an SMS, even if it looks legit.

When you see any website with .cc links, be wary because the .CC domains are registered in the Cocos (Keeling) Islands – an Australian territory of only 14 km², with only about 600 inhabitants.

Warning Sign #4 : No Personal Login Phrase / Picture

To avoid phishing attacks, banks now give you a secret response (like a picture or a phrase) to confirm that you are visiting their legitimate website.

If the website you are visiting gives you the wrong picture or secret phrase, you have been tricked into visiting a fake website designed to mimic the real bank website.

You should also remember that the bank website must show you secret picture or phrase right after you enter your login, but BEFORE you key in your password.

If you are asked to key in your password without the website displaying the secret phrase or picture, you have been tricked into visiting a fake website designed to mimic the real bank website.

CIMB Advice To Protect Against Fake SMS / Email Scams

Here is a list of DOs and DON’Ts to protect yourself against fake SMS / email scams.

Please DO follow these good practices

  1. Pay attention to your transaction alerts and check your account activities regularly. In case of any unusual activity, please contact us immediately.
  2. If you wish to contact us, ONLY call the number on the back of your card or refer to CIMB website “Contact Us” page.
  3. Always check the URL of the website that you are making purchases from. Ensure  the “lock” icon or “https” appears on the website’s address bar.
  4. Always find a reputable seller on online marketplaces by searching for reviews from other customers to know their experience.
  5. To access CIMB Clicks, type the entire URL as follows: www.cimbclicks.com.my
  6. Always remember to log out once you have completed your banking transactions.

Please DO NOT follow these bad practices

  1. Don’t panic and give personal information to fraudsters impersonating representatives of government agencies etc. even if they deploy fear tactics. Immediately call the number on the back of your card to verify with CIMB.
  2. Never apply for personal financing through unverified links or individuals promising a lower rate. CIMB does not impose any application charges for personal financing applications.
  3. Never take instructions from anyone to change the mobile number in CIMB records to any number other than your own mobile number.
  4. When transacting online, never continue with a purchase if you have any doubts if the seller is not genuine.
  5. Never share details such as your card number / User ID / PIN / password / TAC  with anyone or key them in in any website other than CIMB Clicks.
(Note: CIMB will never ask for  your ‘User ID’, ‘Password’ or ‘TAC’ under any circumstances outside of CIMB Clicks).
  6. Do not click on links or open email attachments from unknown / unreliable senders / sources.
(Note: Emails from CIMB will always end with @cimb.com such as cimb.marketing@cimb.com

Interstate Travel Now Limited To 3 Situations Only!

The Malaysian Police just tightened interstate travel, limiting it to just 3 situations / circumstances. Here are the details!

Interstate Travel Now Limited To 3 Situations Only!

On the same day the National Security Council announced that interstate travel will be permitted to help family members vaccinate against COVID-19, the police apparently limited interstate travel to just 3 situations.

This was not announced publicly by the Royal Malaysian Police or the National Security Council (MKN), but this printed and signed notice at the Putrajaya Precinct 1 Police Station appears to be genuine.

According to this notice, the Inspector-General of Police, Abdul Hamid Bador, ordered that police permission will only be given for only these 3 situations / circumstances :

  1. Emergencies involving immediate family members with supporting documents
    – This should include the newly-announced permission to travel interstate to help dependents or senior citizens attend their COVID-19 vaccination appointments.
  2. Death
  3. Couples in long-distance relationships

The notice also specifically stated that interstate travel is not permitted for wedding ceremonies and other feasts / celebrations.

This new order kicked off officially on 15 April 2021.

We should point out that this new order only applies to those applying for police permission to travel interstate.

It does NOT apply to those travelling for work, as they do not require police permission. They only require a letter from their employer, or other supporting documents, to prove that they are travelling for work.

On 15 April 2021, National Immunisation Programme Coordinating Minister Khairy Jamaluddin announced that interstate travel will be allowed for those helping family members make it to their COVID-19 vaccination appointments.

Public Bank Segambut Closed After COVID-19 Case!

Public Bank closed their Segambut branch in Kuala Lumpur, after an employee there tested positive for COVID-19!

Find out what happened, and whether you should be concerned!

Public Bank Segambut : Employee Positive For COVID-19!

On 15 April 2021, Public Bank announced that an employee at their Segambut branch in KL tested positive for COVID-19.

Public Bank closed their Segambut branch, for deep cleaning and sanitisation, from 16 April 2021 until further notice.

Other employees who came into close contact with the affected staff member have been placed under home quarantine.

Public Bank Segambut : Official Statement On COVID-19 Exposure

This was the notice Maybank posted on the COVID-19 case at their Segambut store.:

KUALA LUMPUR – Public Bank Berhad (“PBB”) confirms that one (1) of its employees from Public Bank – Segambut branch, in W.P Kuala Lumpur had tested positive for COVID-19 on 15 April 2021.

The affected branch has been temporarily closed from 16 April 2021. Deep cleaning and sanitization activities have been carried out in accordance with Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia guidelines. As an added precaution, employees who had come into close contact with the affected employee had been placed on home-quarantine. Rest assured that we have taken all necessary precautionary measures to ensure the health and safety of our customers, employees and the community.

Customers are encouraged to perform their banking transactions online via www.pbebank.com, or download our PB engage MY mobile app.

Public Bank Segambut COVID-19 Infection : Do NOT Panic

Even though a branch employee was infected, you should not panic…

They are definitely tracing contacts, which is why it is important to log your movements with MySejahtera, or the physical logbook.

While banks offer physical logbooks, we highly recommend that you use the MySejahtera mobile app, because it allows for easier and faster contact tracing.

Using the MySejahtera mobile app also obviates the need to sign a physical logbook, which usually means using a shared pen – an unnecessary risk factor.

If you happen to be in that Public Bank branch when that affected employee was present, you will be contacted and asked to self-quarantine and undergo a COVID-19 screening test.

The SARS-CoV-2 virus is easily destroyed by soap, so the deep cleaning operation will definitely clean the branch of any infectious particles.

But most important of all – we need to remember to always wear a face mask in public. Face masks have been proven to prevent the spread and reduce the risk of being infected.

You should also keep physically distanced from other people, and maintain good hand hygiene.

Interstate Travel Allowed For COVID-19 Vaccination!

You can now TRAVEL INTERSTATE to help family members make it to their COVID-19 vaccination appointments. Here are the details!

Interstate Travel Allowed For COVID-19 Vaccination!

On 14 April 2021, the Malaysia National Security Council agreed to allow interstate travel for the purpose of helping family members make it to their COVID-19 vaccination appointments.

On 15 April 2021, National Immunisation Programme Coordinating Minister Khairy Jamaluddin announced this decision, which will take effect immediately.

Interstate Travel To Spur COVID-19 Vaccination?

This new interstate travel leniency appears to be an attempt to spur COVID-19 vaccination.

However, it is unknown how many senior citizens or dependents are unable to make it for their COVID-19 vaccinations, because their children are outstation.

There is also the issue of abuse of this leniency. Restricting it to a single person helps, but cannot prevent people from travelling in separate cars using the same vaccination appointment letter as an excuse.

There is, after all, no central database for the police to verify that only one person is using that vaccination appointment letter to travel interstate.

A better alternative might be for the Health Ministry to setup mobile vaccination teams to target senior citizens or other people who are unable to travel to vaccination centres.

SUKE Project : Concrete Block Fell Off Lorry, Not Ours!

The SUKE project team is assuring the public that the concrete block on MRR2 did not fall off their highway, but from a lorry not related to their project!

Find out what happened in this new incident involving the controversial Sungai Besi-Ulu Kelang Expressway project!

Concrete Block On MRR2, Under SUKE Project!

On 25 March 2021, motorists found themselves avoiding a concrete block on the MRR2, just days after a launcher crane toppled at the SUKE highway project, killing three people.

At first, everyone thought that this concrete block might have fallen off the SUKE highway under construction above.

This would not be the first time something fell off a construction project in Malaysia! But at least, it didn’t appear that anyone was injured by the concrete block.

Credit : Thank you, Chua Jia Wen, for sharing these pictures!

SUKE Project : Concrete Block Fell Off Lorry, Not Ours!

The SUKE project team sent an ERT (Emergency Response Team) rider, to investigate and help direct traffic.

They then stated that the concrete block fell off a lorry travelling in the middle lane of MRR2, after Hillview, heading towards Ampang.

They also made it clear that the lorry was NOT from the SUKE project.

By 7:49 AM, they managed to clear the concrete block from MRR2, allowing free flow of traffic.

Pub + Nightclub Ban : Fine Quietly Slashed By Half!

The Malaysian government just quietly slashed the fine for breaking the pub and nightclub ban by HALF!

While this may be a relief for those caught breaking the ban, it is still a hefty fine!

Pub + Nightclub Ban : Fine Quietly Slashed By Half!

On 17 March 2021, when the Malaysian government announced the three categories of offences, they set the fine for those breaking the pub and nightclub ban very high :

  • Companies operating a pub or nightclub : RM 50,000
  • Entering a pub or nightclub : RM 10,000
  • Entering an eatery within a pub or nightclub : RM 10,000

That changed on 22 March 2021, when the Malaysia Ministry of Health released this infographic on the Act 342 fines.

What most people, and even the press, did not notice was – they quietly slashed the fine for breaking the pub and nightclub ban by half!

  • Companies operating a pub or nightclub : RM 25,000
  • Entering a pub or nightclub : RM 5,000
  • Entering an eatery within a pub or nightclub : RM 5,000

While this may be a relief for those already hit with the massive RM 10K or RM 50K fine earlier, it is still a considerable sum of money.

Please note that the ban includes any restaurants or cafes within the pub or nightclub.

Since 8 February 2021, pubs and nightclubs are no longer allowed to serve food or drinks at their restaurants, or even offer takeaway!

But apparently, pubs have now switched their licences to restaurants and eateries that serve alcohol, bypassing this ban.

Recommended : Act 342 Offences : COVID-19 Fines, Discounts + FAQ!

Pub + Nightclub Fine : Can Appeal For A Discount!

Individuals or companies who get fined for not complying with the pub and nightclub ban can appeal for the following discounts, at the nearest District Health Office.

  • Pay within 7 days : 50% discount
  • Pay within 8 to 14 days : 25% discount

Please do NOT appeal for the discount at the police station. The discount can only be given, and the fine paid, at the District Health Office.

Also note that the discount is only given to first-time offenders. Repeat offenders will not receive the discount.

This infographic by the Malaysia Ministry of Health summarises the fines and discounts for those who break the pub and nightclub ban :

Malaysia Approves COVID-19 Vaccine Injury Fund!

To allay anti-vaccination fears, Malaysia just approved a COVID-19 vaccine injury fund!

Find out how much Malaysia’s COVID-19 vaccine injury fund will pay for each case, and the claim process!

Malaysia Approves COVID-19 Vaccine Injury Fund!

Anti-vaccination proponents have been harping that COVID-19 vaccines are so dangerous their manufacturers insist on total legal immunity in case of any injury or death.

The truth is – it’s all about the money.

Pharmaceutical companies normally factor in the cost of potential litigation into every vaccine dose. Legal immunity would allow them to minimise the cost of their vaccines for the pandemic.

Despite the fact that closely-monitored trials involving hundreds of thousands of people have shown that these vaccines are safe, it remains a cause of concern for many people – what if I get injured or die from the vaccine?

Malaysia is eliminating that concern by approving a COVID-19 vaccine injury fund on 21 March 2021.

Officially called Bantuan Khas Kewangan Kesan Mudarat Vakin COVID-19 (Special Financial Assistance for COVID-19 Vaccine Adverse Effects), this COVID-19 vaccine injury fund will pay out :

  • RM 50,000 for serious side effects that requires extended hospitalisation
  • RM 500,000 for permanent disability or death from the COVID-19 vaccine

It will receive an initial funding of RM 10 million (US$2.5 million) under the National Disaster Relief Trust Fund.

Malaysia COVID-19 Vaccine Injury Fund Process

The Malaysia Ministry of Health established three committees to monitor and assess the reported adverse effects from the COVID-19 vaccines.

  1. Special Pharmacovigilance Committee for COVID-19 Vaccine Monitoring
    – to monitor and assess the AEFI (adverse effects following immunisation) and safety issues related to the COVID-19 vaccines
  2. Medical Technical Committee
    – to decide if the claim for special assistance has a causal relationship with the COVID-19 vaccines.
    – judgements will be made on a case-by-case basis, based on the evidence received and the report by the Special Pharmacovigilance Committee for COVID-19 Vaccine Monitoring.
  3. Main Committee for Special Financial Assistance for COVID-19 Vaccine Adverse Effects
    – to approve the special financial assistance based on the decisions of the two previous committees.

Once the claim for special financial assistance is approved, NADMA (National Disaster Management Agency) will issue the payment.

No More Excuse Not To Vaccinate! Sign Up Now!

SUKE Highway Crane + Beam Collapse Kills 3, Injures 1!

A launcher crane toppled over at the SUKE Highway construction site in Kuala Lumpur this morning, killing 3 workers and seriously injuring a passing driver!

SUKE Highway Crane Collapse Kills 3, Injures 1!

A launcher crane topped over at the SUKE Highway construction site in Kuala Lumpur this morning, crushing a car passing underneath.

Three construction workers from China died in the accident :

  • two of them fell from a height of about 120 feet / 36.5 metres, while
  • the third worker was trapped under the launcher crane, and could not be extricated

The driver of the Perodua Bezza car was seriously injured when a piece of the crane fell and crushed his car.

This is the second disaster to hit the SUKE Highway project this month, with a segment collapsing on 3 March 2021!

Recommended : SUKE Highway Collapse : Overloaded Trailer The Cause!

Chua Jia Wen shared with us this picture that shows the concrete beam (seen in the video above) that fell after the crane collapsed on it.

It is a miracle that the massive concrete beam did not hit anyone below!

The massive concrete beam fell right in front of her condo! Imagine if cars were driving in and out at that time…

Here are pictures from the scene, taken by passerbys. We removed pictures of the bodies, out of respect for the deceased and their families.

SUKE Highway Crane Collapse : Road Should Have Been Closed!

According to Senior Works Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof, the road should have been closed when the crane was moved, as part of the SOP.

“In the implementation of such a project, if for example, you want to move the gantry launcher, the road needs to be closed. Once the structure has been safely (moved), only then can you reopen the route.”

He also said that the project contractor had been repeatedly warned to comply with the SOPs, and urged the Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM) to investigate.

He said that if the contractor was found to have breached the SOPs, strict action should be taken, “These contractors can be blacklisted, not given any project for two years.

We certainly hope that the punishment for a tragedy that has so far killed three people and seriously injured one person is not just being blacklisted for two years!

CEM014 Eggs : Cook Properly Or Return Them!

Both Singapore and AEON in Malaysia have called for the recall of all eggs stamped with CEM014.

Find out what’s going on, and why you should properly cook all CEM014 eggs, or return them!

Food Recall : All Eggs Stamped With CEM014!

On 19 March 2021, the Singapore Food Agency (SFA) announced a recall of all eggs stamped with CEM014, due to possible Salmonella enteritidis contamination.

On 20 March 2021, AEON in Malaysia followed up with a recall of the same CEM014 eggs in Malaysia, at about 11:17 PM.

These eggs were all produced by Linggi Agriculture Sdn. Bhd. in Melaka, Malaysia.

Customers who purchased these CEM014 eggs should return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.

Can You Still Consume CEM014 Eggs?

The Singapore Food Agency detected Salmonella enteritidis in the CEM014 eggs, which may cause illness if consumed raw or undercooked.

Symptoms of a Salmonella enteritidis infection include fever, abdominal cramps and diarrhoea approximately 12-72 hours after consuming any contaminated food or beverage.

So these eggs can be safely consumed if properly cooked, as the Salmonella enteritidis bacteria is killed by cooking.

In fact, SFA advised “customers who have purchased the affected eggs” to “cook them thoroughly before consumption”.

It is important to point out that washing the affected egg has no effect, as the Salmonella enteritidis bacteria is inside the shell.

This is because Salmonella enteritidis infects the ovaries of hens, and contaminate their eggs before their shells are formed.

Only proper cooking can ensure safe consumption. So either cook these properly, or return them.

Must You Scan MySejahtera Every Hour At Cafe / Restaurant?

Is it true that you must scan MySejahtera every hour whenever you eat at a cafe, coffee shop or restaurant?

Find out what’s going on, and what the FACTS really are!

Updated @ 2021-03-15 : Added information on Pahang’s dining limit of 1 hour.

Claim : You Must Scan MySejahtera Every Hour At Cafe / Restaurant!

On 13 March 2021, two different messages started going viral on WhatsApp.

They both claim that we must all scan MySejahtera every hour, if we are eating or drinking in a cafe, coffee shop or restaurant.

You must remember this and share. ! If u eat in a restaurant or any outlet n spend over an hour there u must scan My Sejathera again. The same goes for drinking in a restaurant. You have to scan every hour, because the restaurant can only allow u to stay for one hour only. Many people don’t know this. Remember to tell your family members and friends the news. Don’t spend our innocent money on fine again. Come on our money are hard earned. We must be alert.

各位请注意!去茶室飲吃或restaurant喝酒也一样,每过一个小时便要 scan,因为茶室餐厅只能逗留一个小时,这一点很多人不知道,记得把消息告诉你家人朋友,别又无辜花这些冤枉钱.

Attention everyone! The same goes for drinking in the coffee shop or restaurant. You have to scan every hour, because the coffee shop or restaurant can only stay for one hour. Many people don’t know this. Remember to tell your family and friends the news, and don’t let authority to fine you.

No, There Is No Need To Scan MySejahtera Every Hour At Cafe / Restaurant!

After checking out the latest SOPs, we can confirm that there is NO NEED to scan MySejahtera every hour at any coffee shop, cafe, restaurant or eatery.

There will be those who wonder – how do YOU know for sure? Never mind they would rather trust some random WhatsApp message, here are the facts!

Fact #1 : MySejahtera Only Required On Entry

MySejahtera is meant to log when you enter a public premise, not how long you stay in one premise.

There is NO NEED for you to log your presence at any cafe or restaurant every hour.

If they needed to know how long you lingered at any premise, they would have made it a requirement to use MySejahtera to “log out” when you leave.

Fact #2 : They Would Not Have Targeted Just Cafe / Restaurant

If the government wanted to log how long people stayed in a premise, they would have made it a requirement for ALL retail outlets.

This would include supermarkets and grocery stores; not just eateries, cafes, coffee shops and restaurants.

Fact #3 : No Time Limit On Dining-In During MCO

Malaysia allowed dining-in from 10 February 2021 onwards, with these two requirements :

  • Limited to two (2) persons per table.
  • Must have minimum physical distance of 1 metre

There was no time limit for customers who are dining in at any eatery, cafe, coffee shop, or restaurant.

When MKN lifted the 2 persons per table limit, there was only one requirement – a minimum physical distance of 1 metre.

Again, there was no time limit for eating or drinking at any any eatery, cafe, coffee shop, or restaurant.

Fact #4 : No Dining Time Limit In CMCO / RMCO SOP

The latest CMCO and RMCO SOP on dining in at restaurants, cafes, coffee shops and the like are the same.

You only need to comply with ONE requirement – a minimum physical distance of 1 metre.

Fact #5 : 1 Hour Dining Time Limit In Pahang

The Pahang state government recently added a 1 hour dining time limit that stated on 5 March 2021.

However, scanning MySejahtera every hour will not help you avoid this time limit.

A quick check on MySejahtera will show the police just how many times you scanned MySejahtera at the same dining outlet, and therefore, how many hours you were there.

Recommended : Pahang Limits Dining To Just 1 Hour!

Fact #6 : No Dining Time Limit In Food Sector SOP

The Food Sector SOP, released on 3 June 2020, only lists these requirements :

  • Workers with symptoms or temperature over 37.5 celsius are not allowed.
  • Tables must be arranged 2 metres apart, to ensure 1 metre social distancing between customers
  • Customers must be seated according to table size, and cannot exceed 4 for big tables.
  • Workers must wear face masks at all times.

This SOP has obviously been superseded by the newer SOP for CMCO and RMCO.

Fact #7 : No Dining Time Limit In Retail Sector SOP

The Retail Sector SOP (which covers cafes, coffee shops and restaurants), released on 24 Nov 2020, lists these requirements :

  • Ensure that workers and customers are recorded (using MySejahtera or a log book).
  • Ensure 1 metre physical distance within the premise
  • Limit the number of customers at any one time
  • Ensure that workers and customers wear face masks
  • Limit the time within the premise (no time limit).

Fact #8 : No Dining Time Limit In Social Event SOP

Just in case, we even looked at the Social Event SOP, released on 24 February 2021, which lists these requirements :

  • Guests with temperature over 37.5 celsius are not allowed.
  • Guests queuing to enter must maintain 1 metre distance.
  • Guests must wear face masks.
  • Guests are limited to 50% of venue capacity.
  • Tables must be arranged 2 metres apart, to ensure 1 metre social distancing between guests

Again, there is no mention of any time limit.

MySejahtera : RM10K ~ RM50K Fine Can Be Appealed!

MySejahtera logging is MANDATORY, and the fine just increased to RM 10,000 for individuals and RM 50,000 for companies!

However, the government allows you to appeal for a lower fine, so make sure you do that!

Updated @ 2021-03-13 : Added RM50K fine for companies, and other updates.

Updated @ 2021-03-12 : Added details of increased RM10K fine for individuals.

MySejahtera : Mandatory, Fine Now RM10K ~ RM50K!

MySejahtera logging has been mandatory since 10 February 2021, but most people still seem unaware of this.

You can still get fined if you registered with an alternate app like Selangkah, but not MySejahtera.

On 3 March 2021, the non-compliance fine was increased, from 11 March 2021 onwards to :

The massively increased fines will definitely be a problem for many people who don’t even earn that much in 4 months!

Look at this picture of a compound that a netizen received on the very first day the fine was increased!

Apparently, this person was fined for not registering with MySejahtera, even though he registered with a different app or the manual log book.

MySejahtera Fine Can Be Appealed

Malaysia Senior Minister of Defence Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob stated that the maximum fine of RM10,000 for individuals is only for “repeat and serious offenders”.

According to the Inspector General of Police Abdul Hamid Bador, the police officers do not have the power to reduce the fine. It is merely their duty to issue the compound.

However, those who receive the compound can appeal for a reduction in the fine at the nearest District Health Office.

So if you are caught not scanning the QR code using your MySejahtera app :

  • DO NOT ARGUE with the police officer.
  • Accept the compound from the police officer.
  • Head to the nearest District Health Office to appeal the fine.

Potential mitigating factors could include your economic status, a first-time offence, not owning a smartphone, poor or no Internet connectivity in that area.

DAP Selangor is also offering legal assistance, so you can give them a try too, if your appeal fails.

MySejahtera : Mandatory Since Feb 2021, Fine Originally RM1K

COVID-19 contact tracing requires timely and accurate logging of everyone’s movements, which has been accomplished by many apps and manual logbooks in Malaysia.

However, to streamline and speed up the contact tracing process, the Malaysia National Security Council (MKN) announced on 9 February 2021 that MySejahtera logging is now mandatory.

From Wednesday, 10 February 2021 onwards, everyone in Malaysia must log their movements in public areas using the MySejahtera app.

You can use other contact tracing apps as well, but only in addition to MySejahtera, which again is MANDATORY.

The use of manual logbooks is no longer allowed, except in rural areas where Internet connectivity is poor or not available.

However, the government did not detail how people who do not own a smartphone are supposed to log their visits.

The fine was originally set at RM 1,000 per person, per offence for those who failed to log their movements using MySejahtera.

The original RM 1,000 fine for not logging your movement in public places is not new. Malaysian netizens have shared videos and photos of enforcement checks for months now.

MySejahtera : What Is It?

MySejahtera is a mobile app developed by the Malaysian government. It serves as a contact tracing tool, as well as a way to disseminate verified information on COVID-19 in Malaysia.

Its users can log their movements by quickly and simply scanning a QR code at public places. This is a safer option to signing a logbook, because you won’t need to touch the logbook or use a shared pen.

Using MySejahtera also allows the Malaysia Ministry of Health (KKM) to easier and faster conduct contact tracing.

Please note that EVERY PERSON – including children and domestic helpers – must be registered.

Unfortunately, the government has not stated what people should do, if they do not have a smartphone.

Fact Check : Doctor’s Diary On Covaxin Side Effects?

Is an Indian doctor’s diary and advice on the side effects of the Covaxin vaccine genuine?

Take a look at the viral post on Covaxin side effects, and what the FACTS really are!

Doctor’s Diary On Covaxin Side Effects : A Viral Sensation

An Indian doctor’s diary on the Covaxin vaccine’s side effects, and his advice on how to deal with them, has gone viral on social media…

What’s amazing is that it’s gone viral even in countries where the Covaxin vaccine, is not, and will likely never be available!

A doctor’s report from his diary on his own health after receiving Covaxin vaccination

(Save for your reference till vaccination is done)

Diary for 2 days

I got my self vaccinated today (25/01/2021) at 11:25 am, on the left upper side of the arm. I had no side effects till 10:30 pm.

I had my dinner at 8:00 pm and I was all fine till 10:30 pm with no side effects, I went to bed around the same time. At 11:30 pm, while I was still lying in the bed, pain started at the vaccination site, which wasn’t before. I had a slight chill and my temperature started rising, at 12:30 am. I measured my temperature and I was having 99.4*F. As expected, along with the temperature started the rest of the side effects. I had bodyache, warmness in my eyes, neck pain. Pain at the vaccination site became worse and I also had slight choking in my throat.

Throughout the night I was restless, could not sleep much, my temperature at 2:00 am was 100.4*F. I kept myself observing closely.

I was happy though, as all these side effects indicated that the vaccination was successful and my body is giving robust response.

26/01/2021

I slept around 4:00 am got up at 6:00 am, feeling drained, my temperature was again 100.4*F at 6:30 am. Throughout the day I had fever ranging between (99.7*F-100.2*F) body ache, pain at vaccination site, sore throat, mild cold. In the evening, around 6:30 pm, my temperature was 99.3*F, pain slightly reduced at the vaccination site, some relief was also observed in my sore throat.

I had my dinner at 8:30 pm and went to bed at 10:30 pm, before bedtime my temperature was 99.2*F.

27/01/2021

I woke up at 6:00 am, feeling quite well, body temperature was 98.7*F, pain at vaccination site grossly reduced, pain only felt when I press my vaccination site with my hands, sore throat, neck pain gone.

All these side effects were like having mini-Covid symptoms.

Importantly, the whole batch of the doctors who got vaccinated the same day kept on sharing their side effects within our group and about 80-90% of us had common side effects as mentioned above.

The other symptoms which my colleagues had.

1. Dizziness, at the time of administering the vaccination and afterwards as well.

2. Rise in blood pressure.

3. Nausea.

I am sharing with you the first-hand experience which we doctors had at the time and after vaccination. You all will be experiencing the same, whenever you get vaccinated, so do not get anxious, as you all now, know the side effects.

Fact Check Of Doctor’s Diary On Covaxin Side Effects

There’s no way to tell if the viral diary was actually written by a doctor, since it’s unsigned and not attributed to anyone. So we cannot verify his/her account.

However, we can fact-check a few interesting points, claims and advice in that viral account. Let’s see what the FACTS really are…

Fact #1 : India Uses The Metric System

Interestingly, the writer recorded his/her body temperature in Fahrenheit, instead of Celsius.

Like the vast majority of the world, India uses the metric system, and an actual Indian doctor would use Celsius.

Fahrenheit is only used in the United States, Belize, Palau, the Bahamas and the Cayman Islands – none of which has the Covaxin vaccine.

Fact #2 : The Writer Use Terms Doctors Generally Won’t

Generally, doctors will not use terms like vaccination site, temperature started rising, warmness in eyes, rise in blood pressure, or mini-Covid symptoms.

The proper terms, which normal people would have understood, would have been injection site, fever, hypertension or increased blood pressure, or COVID-like symptoms.

Fact #3 : How High Was Their Blood Pressure?

The writer claimed that his/her medical colleagues reported “rise in blood pressure”, without stating how much higher.

This is important, because a significant increase in blood pressure is defined as an increase in systolic blood pressure of greater than 20 mm Hg, or an increase in diastolic blood pressure of greater than 10 mm Hg.

If the writer is an actual doctor, and his colleagues only reported slightly elevated blood pressure, he/she should have written it off as irrelevant, or normal physiological variances.

Blood pressure can also temporarily increase for all sorts of perfectly normal reasons – smoking, caffeinated drinks, anxiety, or even mild exertion before the reading was taken.

A single elevated BP reading is not indicative of the blood pressure actually being high. In fact, blood pressure readings are only accurate if you follow these rules :

  • you did not drink a caffeinated beverage or smoke in the last 30 minutes.
  • you did not rest (sit quietly) for at least 5 minutes
  • you are seated with your arm rested, so that your elbow is about heart level
  • you did not talk during the measurement
  • there is a difference of less than 5 mm Hg between two readings taken consecutively.

Fact #4 : Dizziness During Injection

Dizziness during injection is not a side effect of the Covaxin vaccine, because it’s in the process of being injected into the body, and thus have no effect yet.

It is actually a symptom of vasovagal syncope – the same physiological response that caused Tiffany Dover to faint on TV after receiving an injection of the Pfizer BNT162b2 vaccine.

People with vasovagal syncope will feel dizzy or faint when exposed to certain triggers like pain, emotional stress, fear of needles or even just the sight of blood.

So it is not surprising if some people feel dizzy or faint after getting an injection, whether it’s of a COVID-19 vaccine or a placebo.

Fact #5 : Some Side Effects Are A Good Sign

The known Covaxin vaccine side effects include :

  • injection site pain, swelling, redness, itching
  • stiffness and weakness of the injection arm
  • body ache, headache
  • fever, malaise, weakness
  • rashes, nausea, vomiting

While side effects like allergic reaction, rashes and vomiting are obviously not good, other side effects are a good sign.

Vaccine “side effects” like fever and muscle ache are actually a sign that the vaccine is working, and your body’s immune system is kicking into action.

Remember – COVID-19 vaccines like Covaxin basically use the inactivated SARS-CoV-2 virus or its spike protein to train your body’s immune system to fight against the real virus.

So you should at least expect some symptoms of a real COVID-19 infection, as the body works to fight off the “fake infection” that the vaccine just delivered.

Fact #6 : Hydrate With Water, Period

Hydration is simple – drink water. It really doesn’t matter if it’s cold, hot, warm, lukewarm, or room temperature.

There is also no fixed rule on how much water to drink a day. It very much depends on the individual’s life and environment.

Someone who is physically exerting himself in a dry climate would naturally require more hydration than a rich socialite chilling out in the sauna.

Fact #7 : Hydration Has No Effect On Vaccines

Any doctor worth his/her salt would know that body maintains its biological equilibrium through homeostasis.

So additional hydration after vaccination will not have any effect. You will just piss it out.

Fact #8 : Perfume Isn’t Bad For Vaccination

This needs some context. It’s not wrong to smell nice when you meet people.

Some health authorities are advising people to avoid wearing scented products like perfume or cologne, as other people waiting for their vaccinations may be allergic to them.

Fact #8 : Alcohol Rub / Swab Is Fine

WHO recommends against swabbing the skin with alcohol before injecting the vaccine, consider it an unnecessary waste of time and money. So don’t be worried if the nurse or doctor skips this step.

However, there is nothing wrong if you let the nurse or doctor swab your skin with alcohol before injecting the vaccine.

No one swabs the skin with alcohol after an injection, so we have no idea why the writer would ask you to refrain from doing so.

Fact #9 : Alcohol Consumption Before / After Vaccination Is Fine

There is no evidence that alcohol consumption has any effect on any COVID-19 vaccine, so there is no rule against consuming alcohol before or after vaccination.

But it would be make sense not to drink alcohol before driving to the vaccination centre – which is both unsafe, and against the law.

Fact #10 : Hypertension Is Not A Side Effect

So far, no COVID-19 vaccine (Covaxin or otherwise) has listed hypertension – high blood pressure – as a side effect. So there is no need to monitor your blood pressure after vaccination.

If you already have hypertension, then you should monitor your blood pressure regularly… as you normally would.

Did the UK government report 460 deaths and 243,612 injuries from COVID-19 vaccines in the latest 4 March 2021 report?

Find out what’s going on, and what the FACTS really are!

460 Deaths + 243,612 Injuries From COVID Vaccines In UK?

Health Impact News continues to share misleading news about the COVID-19 vaccination programme in the UK.

Framing it as a report, Brian Shilhavy from Health Impact News listed what appears to be a shocking list of 460 deaths and 243,612 injuries from the Pfizer and AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccines in the UK.

To avoid being outright labelled as fake news, he shared the report without context, only presenting them as raw numbers.

For the COVID-19 mRNA Pfizer- BioNTech vaccine analysis they report:

  • 2033 Blood disorders including 1 death
  • 1032 Cardiac disorders including 25 deaths
  • 3 Congenital disorder
  • 713 Ear disorders
  • 10 Endocrine disorders
  • 1242 Eye disorders

  • 466 Immune system disorders
  • 1863 Infections including 33 deaths

  • 992 Vascular disorders including 1 death

Total reactions for the COVID-19 mRNA Pfizer- BioNTech vaccine212 deaths and 85,179 injuries

UK Report On COVID Vaccine Deaths + Injuries : The Facts

Health Impact News basically summarised the weekly Yellow Card report from the UK MHRA (Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency).

However, by omitting context about this report, the article conveys the false perception that the COVID-19 vaccines are dangerous.

Here are the facts…

Fact #1 : It Was A Yellow Card Summary Report

The UK government report mentioned in the article was the weekly Yellow Card summary report (as of 21 February 2021).

As you can tell – it is released on a weekly basis, and is otherwise not special in any sense. The 21 February edition will soon be superseded by the 28 February edition.

Fact #2 : Anyone Can Report Anything On The Yellow Card Site

What Health Impact News “neglected” to mention was that ANYONE from ANYWHERE can report ANYTHING on the Coronavirus Yellow Card reporting site.

You can report that the COVID-19 vaccine caused you all kinds of injuries, from giving you AIDS or brain cancer to killing you outright.

Heck, you can create a Yellow Card report even if you are NOT living in the UK, and have NOT actually received the vaccine!

Here are screenshots of us reporting that the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine caused a leg fracture, that resulted in an abnormality in an unborn child!

This is how absurd the Yellow Card reporting system really is. No different from the US VAERS system really.

Fact #3 : Yellow Card Reports Are NOT Evidence Of Side Effects

Health Impact News also “neglected” to mention that Yellow Card reports are NOT evidence of actual adverse reactions.

The UK MHRA (Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency) which operates the Yellow Card programme stated very clearly that (with our emphasis) :

It is very important to note that a Yellow Card report does not necessarily mean the vaccine caused that reaction or event.

We ask for any suspicions to be reported, even if the reporter isn’t sure if it was caused by the vaccine. Reports to the scheme are known as suspected adverse reactions (ADRs).

Many suspected ADRs reported on a Yellow Card do not have any relation to the vaccine or medicine and it is often coincidental that they both occurred around the same time.

It is therefore important that the suspected ADRs described in this report are not interpreted as being proven side effects of COVID-19 vaccines.

Fact #4 : Known Side Effects Are Mild / Inconsequential

Health Impact News also intentionally “failed to expose” the fact that the side effects of both Pfizer and AstraZeneca vaccines are mild and/or inconsequential.

Thanks to large trials involving over 100,000 people, scientists have determined that the side effects of the Pfizer and AstraZeneca vaccines for COVID-19 are mild and/or inconsequential.

The UK MHRA classified the known side effects into how commonly they occur, as follows :

Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine Side Effects

  • Very Common : pain at injection site, tiredness, headache, muscle pain, chills, joint pain, fever
  • Common : injection site swelling, redness at injection site, nausea
  • Uncommon : enlarged lymph nodes, feeling unwell
  • Rare : temporary one-sided facial drooping (Bell’s palsy)
  • Very Rare : severe allergic reaction

Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine Side Effects

  • Very Common : tenderness, pain, warmth, redness, itching, swelling or bruising at injection site, generally felling unwell, feeling tired, chills, headache, nausea, joint pain or muscle ache
  • Common : a lump at injection site, fever, vomiting, flu-like symptoms
  • Uncommon : feeling dizzy, decreased appetite, abdominal pain, enlarged lymph nodes, sweating, itchy skin / rash

Fact #5 : COVID-19 Killed Almost 2.6 Million People… So Far

It is perplexing why Health Impact News is focusing only on the 460 “reported deaths” in the UK Yellow Card database, that have NOT been proven to be caused by the vaccine.

We should point out that as of 27 February 2021, COVID-19 has killed :

  • Almost 2.6 million people worldwide
  • Over 124,000 people in the UK

Those are real people who died from COVID-19. Real people with families who have to live with the loss.

On the other hand, the COVID-19 vaccines have been proven to be safe, and will prevent millions of deaths from what is now a preventable disease in the UK and all around the world.

Seafood Scams On Facebook : How To Detect Them!

Seafood scams on Facebook have been proliferating recently, and Facebook just doesn’t care.

So it is up to all of us to spread the word and WARN EVERYONE about these seafood scams on Facebook.

Updated @ 2021-03-07 : Added another confirmed seafood scam page and two reported bank accounts.

Originally posted @ 2021-02-14

Seafood Scams On Facebook : What’s Going On?

We were first alerted to the world of Facebook seafood scams by people who were cheated by Ocean Sense and East Malaysia Seafood Agent.

These Facebook seafood scam pages have a simple modus operandi :

  • offer online seafood delivery at very attractive prices and even free delivery
  • advertise on Facebook to reach out to people, and avert Facebook’s ire
  • ghost you after you deposit money into their bank accounts
  • delete your negative comments on their Facebook page

Even though many people reported Ocean Sense and East Malaysia Seafood Agent as scam pages, Facebook declined to take action and they are STILL ACTIVE.

Seafood Scams On Facebook : How To Detect Them!

The problem with seafood scams on Facebook is how easily scammers create them. Even if they get banned by Facebook, they will simply create a new one.

Facebook also partly enables them to continue with their scam by ignoring reports, claiming that there is nothing on the scam pages that go against their Community Standards. Duh – as if the scammers will post on Facebook admitting that they are scammers.

So how do we detect these seafood scams on Facebook?

Step 1 : Check List Of Reported / Confirmed Seafood Scams

The first thing you should do is run a quick search online on the name of the seafood vendor. See if anyone has reported them to be a scam.

Confirmed Seafood Scams On Facebook

Multiple people have reported that these Facebook seafood vendors have cheated them :

Reported Seafood Scams On Facebook

These Facebook pages have been reported to be scam pages, but we haven’t been able to independently verify their reports :

Step 2 : Check With The Commercial Crimes Department

Next, use the Commercial Crimes Department’s website to check for bank accounts that have outstanding police reports.

For example, the CIMB 8604503834 has two outstanding police reports lodged against it.

DO NOT BANK ANY MONEY to any account flagged by the Commercial Crimes Department’s website.

Step 3 : Check List Of Reported Company + Bank Accounts

Just because a bank account has not been flagged by the Commercial Crimes Department’s website doesn’t mean it’s safe.

That’s because many people do not bother to lodge a police report, or it may be a recent scam.

Here is a list of reported company and bank accounts, which you should AVOID :

Name Bank Account
Yap Kok Keong CIMB 7635-3713-28
A&B Bintang Trading CIMB 8604-5038-34
Car Boutique Venture CIMB 8604-5267-74
GS 028 Seafood Trading CIMB 8604-5270-14
Lee Pea Ching CIMB 7075-3700-47

Step 4 : Look For An Address

Genuine seafood vendors on Facebook will share with you their address, so you can drop by and select your seafood if you wish.

But don’t just trust the address they post. Always check the address on Google Maps, and use Street View to check if the shop really exists.

Step 5 : Look For Angry Emojis

A genuine seafood vendor may have one or two angry emojis by dissatisfied customers, but scam pages will have A LOT of them.

Hover over the reaction emojis, and look at how many are positive (likes or wow), and how many are negative (angry).

Scam pages will have a lot of angry emojis because they often delete negative comments, so angry customers have only one option – show angry emojis to warn potential customers.

Step 6 : PM People With Angry Emojis

To find out for sure if this is a scam, just PM (private message) those who left an angry emoji react to the Facebook page.

That’s how we were able to confirm that Ocean Sense and East Malaysia Seafood Agent are seafood scam pages.

Step 7 : Pay Only By Credit Card / Cash On Delivery

If you are still enticed by the great offer and want to take a risk, insist on paying with a credit card, or cash on delivery.

NEVER PAY to a bank account directly, because there is simply NO PROTECTION, and NO WAY for you to get your money back.

Using a credit card protects you against fraud, because the payment is not instantly credited to the vendor.

If you did not receive the seafood you ordered, simply call up the bank and inform them. They will refund the money.

If the seafood vendor insists on a direct bank transfer and refuses even cash on delivery, it is highly likely that they are scammers.

Malaysia MCO : MICE + Busking Now Allowed!

Malaysia just lifted restrictions on MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) and Busking!

Find out how this affects your risk of getting infected by COVID-19 in Malaysia!

Malaysia MCO : MICE + Busking Now Allowed!

Even as Malaysia comes close to breaching 300,000 COVID-19 cases, the Malaysia National Security Council (MKN) continues to liberalise the economy.

On 25 February 2021, Defence Minister Ismail Sabri bin Yaakob announced that MKN decided to lift restrictions on MICE and busking activities in MCO / PKP areas.

Starting 26 February 2021, street musicians and buskers are allowed to perform in MCO / PKP areas, as long as they comply with existing SOP.

MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) activities, on the other hand, can start from 5 March 2021 onwards, with these restrictions :

  • up to 25% of maximum venue capacity, or
  • up to 250 people at the venue, whichever is fewer
  • physical distancing must be maintained

MICE + Busking Activities : Are We At Greater Risk?

This new change would make MCO (PKP) even more similar to RMCO (PKPP) and CMCO (PKPB), which begs the question – why bother with the three different classifications?

But more importantly – how does this affect our risk of getting COVID-19?

MICE Risks

The risks of MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) activities greatly varies.

Meetings, talks and training sessions, for example, are small and can be conducted with minimal risks, as long as both organisers and participants comply with the SOP.

Conferences and exhibitions, on the other hand, are more challenging because they generally involve personal interactions. Physical distancing and face masks can help to reduce the risk, but only if everyone remembers to use them.

Busking Risks

This is generally quite safe, as long as the performer(s) is static, like the example above. This would allow for proper physical distancing of at least 2-3 metres (if not further).

However, all spectators MUST wear face masks at all times, as it would not be reasonable for buskers to perform with face masks.

Walking buskers should be discouraged, as it would difficult for them to maintain physical distance from the public. And there should be no physical interaction.

Fact Check: Shocking UK Report On COVID Vaccine Injuries?

Did the UK government issue a shocking report on COVID-19 vaccine injuries, with many cases of blindnessstroke, spontaneous abortion and death?

Take a look at the shocking UK Yellow Card report, and find out what the FACTS really are!

Claim : Shocking UK Report On COVID Vaccine Injuries!

The Daily Expose UK wrote an article called “SHOCKING! – Official Data on Adverse Reactions to Covid Vaccines release“.

It was reposted by Principia Scientific International as “UK Government Releases Shocking Report On COVID Vaccine Side Effects“, with a PDF version circulating on social media, or this message :

LATEST NEWS > > *As of 24/1/2021, out of the 5.4 millions UK people taken first dose of the Pfizer vaccine, 107 people died. 5 people are now blind, 21 suffered a stroke, 4 women suffered a miscarriage.

According to Daily Expose UK, the UK government report revealed that the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine caused these injuries or adverse reactions :

  • 5 cases of blindness
  • 31 cases of visual impairment

  • 21 cerebrovascular accidents (stroke)

  • 4 spontaneous abortions (miscarriages)

  • 59 deaths
  • 7 sudden deaths

Daily Expose UK also found that the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine was responsible for two spontaneous abortions.

Take a minute to let the shock and horror pass, before you read on and find out what the facts really are…

UK Report On COVID Vaccine Injuries : The Facts

The Daily Expose UK and Principia Scientific websites are known to write misleading articles and twist facts to support their anti-science and anti-vaccination views.

The screenshots are indeed from a UK government report. However, the Daily Expose UK article intentionally misleads everyone on the TRUTH.

Here are the facts…

Fact #1 : It Was A Yellow Card Summary Report

The UK government report mentioned in the article was the weekly Yellow Card summary report (as of 27 January 2021).

As you can tell – it is released on a weekly basis, and is otherwise not special in any sense. The 11 February edition has already been released, and will soon be superseded by the 18 February edition.

Fact #2 : Anyone Can Report Anything On The Yellow Card Site

What the Daily Expose UK intentionally “neglected” to mention was that ANYONE from ANYWHERE can report ANYTHING on the Coronavirus Yellow Card reporting site.

Daily Expose UK also intentionally “neglected” to mention that Yellow Card reports are NOT evidence of actual adverse reactions.

Daily Expose UK also intentionally “failed to expose” the fact that the side effects of both Pfizer and AstraZeneca vaccines are mild and/or inconsequential.

Thanks to large trials involving over 100,000 people, scientists have determined that the side effects of the Pfizer and AstraZeneca vaccines for COVID-19 are mild and/or inconsequential.

The UK MHRA classified the known side effects into how commonly they occur, as follows :

Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine Side Effects

  • Very Common : pain at injection site, tiredness, headache, muscle pain, chills, joint pain, fever
  • Common : injection site swelling, redness at injection site, nausea
  • Uncommon : enlarged lymph nodes, feeling unwell
  • Rare : temporary one-sided facial drooping (Bell’s palsy)
  • Very Rare : severe allergic reaction

Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine Side Effects

  • Very Common : tenderness, pain, warmth, redness, itching, swelling or bruising at injection site, generally felling unwell, feeling tired, chills, headache, nausea, joint pain or muscle ache
  • Common : a lump at injection site, fever, vomiting, flu-like symptoms
  • Uncommon : feeling dizzy, decreased appetite, abdominal pain, enlarged lymph nodes, sweating, itchy skin / rash

Fact #5 : COVID-19 Has Killed Over 2.4 Million People… So Far

Daily Expose and Principia Scientific are fretting over a hundred of so “reported deaths” in the UK Yellow Card database, that have NOT been proven to be caused by the vaccine.

We should point out that as of 17 February 2021, COVID-19 has killed :

  • Over 2.4 million people worldwide
  • Over 118,000 people in the UK

Those are real people who died from COVID-19. Real people with families who have to live with the loss.

Workers wearing protective gear bury bodies in a trench on Hart Island in New York City on April 9.

On the other hand, the COVID-19 vaccines have been proven to be safe and efficacious. They will prevent millions of people from unnecessarily dying from what is now a preventable disease.

Daily Expose UK and Principia Scientific, suicide is meant to be a SOLITARY hobby. It’s one thing to risk your own lives. Just don’t lure others to commit suicide with you!

IKEA Cheras : Closed After Multiple COVID-19 Cases!

IKEA just closed their Cheras store after multiple employees and service partners there tested positive for COVID-19!

Find out what happened, and if you should be concerned!

IKEA Cheras : Multiple COVID-19 Cases!

On 25 January 2021, IKEA closed their Cheras store after several security guards there tested positive for COVID-19.

On 19 February, IKEA announced that multiple employees and service partners at their Cheras store tested positive for COVID-19.

The affected employees and service partners last worked between 8 and 14 February, and are now under self-quarantine until further notice from the authorities.

Their employees who were in close contact with the affected co-workers and service partners have already been placed under home quarantine, and have completed their COVID-19 swab tests.

IKEA closed their Cheras store on 19 February 2021 for cleaning and sanitisation, and for full contact tracing.

IKEA Cheras COVID-19 Exposure : Official Statement

Here is the official statement by IKEA on their Cheras Mall store COVID-19 exposure.

IKEA Malaysia, 19 Feb 2021: Following one of our scheduled routine tests at our Cheras store, we are sad to announce we have confirmed Covid-19 positive cases involving our co-workers and service partners. Their last working days were between 8 – 14 Feb 2021. All co-workers are now in self-quarantine until further notice from the authorities.

The health, safety and overall well-being of our co-workers, customers, partners, and community is our top priority. Therefore, we are taking precautionary measures to close our Cheras store on 19 Feb 2021 to undergo the necessary sanitisation and full contact tracing in accordance to the Ministry of Health’s (MOH) standards.

All our co-workers who were in close contact have already been placed on home quarantine and completed Covid-19 swab tests. Customers who have further enquiries or need more information, please call MOH’s Crisis Preparedness and Response Center’s (CPRC) hotline: 03-8881 0200/0600/0700.

We are working closely with the authorities and will act on their advice. We have and will continue to carry out all necessary safety measures including replacement of co-workers, contact tracing, swab tests, quarantine for all close contacts and sanitisation.

The fight against Covid-19 pandemic is a shared responsibility. Let’s do our part by supporting and following the Government’s directions to prevent the further spread of the virus.

Stay safe and take care

IKEA Cheras COVID-19 Cases : What’s The Risk?

Anyone who shopped at IKEA Cheras on or before 14 February 2021, should be wary and self-quarantine if possible.

The risk will be low if both the affected guards and all customers wore face masks, and maintained physical distance.

The Ministry of Health will be conducting contact tracing for all positive cases, and those identified as close contacts will be asked to self-quarantine and get tested.

Let this be a reminder why it is critical that you wear a face mask in public at all times – they greatly reduce the risk of infection.

You should also maintain good hand hygiene by cleaning with soap and water, or a hand sanitiser.

COVID-19 is easily destroyed by soap, so even a simple cleaning operation will definitely clean the store of any infectious particles, albeit only temporarily.

Chinese New Year U-Turn Invites More Questions!

Malaysia just reversed their Chinese New Year restrictions for the MCO lockdown.

Find out what’s changed, and why this new CNY SOP just invites more questions!

Malaysia Reverses Chinese New Year Restrictions!

After their original Chinese New Year restrictions were ridiculed, the Malaysia National Security Council (MKN) corrected and then reversed their decision today.

Here is a summary of what’s NOW allowed for Chinese New Year in Malaysia :

Family Reunion Dinner

  • Allowed for one day only, on Thursday, 11 February 2021.
  • Up to 15 close family members may attend.
  • Those family members must live within a radius of 10 kilometres.
  • Cross-district or interstate travel is forbidden.

Religious Activities

  • Allowed on three days only11, 12 and 19 February 2021.
  • Up to 30 people may be present at any one time.
  • They must all wear face masks, and physically distance.
  • Every prayer session can last up to 30 minutes, and must be followed by sanitation for 30 minutes, before the next prayer session.
  • Prayers can last from 6 AM until 2 PM.
  • Home prayers on the night of 19 February 2021 are allowed for the Hokkien Clan (Pai Ti Kong).

Third Chinese New Year SOP : More Questions!

This is the third MCO SOP for Chinese New Year 2021, and may not be the last.

For some reason, the government neglected Chap Goh Meh – the last day of Chinese New Year, which is also a significant date.

If they want to ban Chap Goh Meh celebrations, please state so, and say it clearly.

But even more critically, they did not clarify whether the inter-district or interstate travel restrictions include the Klang Valley.

After all, many areas in the Klang Valley are in close proximity, even if they cross district and state lines.

For example, Damansara Perdana and Mutiara Damansara (which are in Selangor) are right next to TTDI (in Kuala Lumpur), separated only by the LDP highway. Will crossing the state and district lines between these adjoining areas be allowed?

Finally, there’s no mention of whether more than two people are allowed to travel in the same car for the reunion dinner, which 15 people can now attend.

So we expect the government to “further clarify” their Chinese New Year SOP going forward…

Note : MKN just clarified their SOP on Chinese New Year reunion dinners!

Malaysia “Corrects” SOP For Chinese New Year!

Malaysia just issued a “corrected” SOP for Chinese New Year, replacing the original version which was roundly mocked by netizens.

Take a look at this newly “corrected” SOP for Chinese New Year 2021!

MKN just reversed their decision! Please see Malaysia Reverses Chinese New Year Restrictions!

Chinese New Year SOP : First Version Was A Joke!

When the Malaysia National Security Council (MKN) announced the Chinese New Year SOP for 2021, it was roundly mocked by netizens for its absurd rules.

For example, it told family members of the same household to visit each other! This meme shows just how absurd the suggestion was.

Malaysia “Corrects” SOP For Chinese New Year!

Just one day later, MKN issued a new, “corrected” SOP for Chinese New Year!

  • The SOP now applies for the three days – 11, 12 and 19* February 2021.
  • The family is now asked to celebrate at home, instead of visiting each other in the same house.
  • The family reunion dinner is only allowed for family members residing in the same house.
  • The arbitrary limit of 20 people in the same house, was removed.
  • The ridiculous requirement to physically distance in the household was removed.
  • The absurd prohibition for family members to greet or touch each other was removed.
  • No one is allowed to go to temples and houses of worship.
  • Lion / dragon dance is forbidden.
  • Tanglung and Chingay parades are forbidden.
  • Chinese opera and stage shows are forbidden.
  • Pre-celebration sales are only allowed in selected premises. Online purchase is encouraged.

* 19th February is when Pai Ti Kong (Bai Tian Gong) is celebrated by the Hokkien people.

This strict stay-at-home Chinese New Year SOP will mean that all Chinese families will have to celebrate by themselves, without an actual reunion dinner.

The government should really KISS (Keep It Simple, Stupid) by banning gatherings and visitations for all 16 days of Chinese New Year – from the eve to Chap Goh Meh.

By only highlighting those 3 days, it opens up the possibility of people misinterpreting the SOP to mean that it’s okay to have reunion dinners or visitations on the other days of Chinese New Year.

Please stay safe, everyone, so that we can celebrate Chinese New Year with our family and friends next year!

Chinese New Year SOP For MCO Lacks Common Sense

The Malaysia National Security Council just announced the MCO SOP for Chinese New Year, and it lacks common sense, or an understanding of Chinese culture.

Take a look at their Chinese New Year SOP, and see for yourself why it really doesn’t make much sense…

Chinese New Year : SOP For MCO Areas

Here is the SOP that was just released for the celebration of Chinese New Year in MCO areas – basically all of Malaysia, except Sarawak.

  • The SOP applies for the first two days of Chinese New Year – 12 and 13 February 2021
  • Not more than 20 people are allowed in the house, with physical distancing
  • The family reunion dinner is only allowed for family members residing in the same house.
  • Visitation is only allowed for family members residing in the same house.
  • No one is allowed to greet or touch each other.
  • No one is allowed to go to temples and houses of worship.
  • Lion / dragon dance is forbidden.
  • Tanglung and Chingay parades are forbidden.
  • Chinese opera and stage shows are forbidden.
  • Open houses are forbidden.

Note : This SOP has just been corrected. See Malaysia “Corrects” SOP For Chinese New Year!

Chinese New Year SOP For MCO Lacks Common Sense

Now, let us share with you why the Chinese New Year SOP lacks common sense, or an understanding of Chinese culture.

Reason #1 : Chinese New Year Lasts 15 Days

Chinese New Year actually lasts 15 days, ending with the Lantern Festival. But in reality, it lasts 16 days, because it actually kicks off on the eve.

But the point is that if the SOP only covers the first two days, then it cannot apply to the Tanglung (Lantern) Festival, which takes place on the last day (15th day) of Chinese New Year!

Neither would the SOP apply to the Chingay Parade, which happens on the 21st day of the Lunar New Year in Johor Bahru, 12 December 2021 in Penang island and 19 December 2021 in Prai, Penang.

Reason #2 : Family Reunion Dinner Is On CNY Eve!

The family reunion dinner happens not on the first or second day of Chinese New Year, but on its eve – the night before!

Technically, Malaysians will not be flouting the SOP if they gather on the eve (11 February 2021) for their family reunion dinner.

Also, it is only a reunion dinner if extended family members attend. Otherwise, it’s just a regular family dinner.

Reason #3 : Chinese New Year Eve Is A Cultural Event

Chinese New Year is a cultural event, not a religious event. It is celebrated by Chinese people of ALL religions, or none at all.

There is no requirement to attend church, visit a temple, or go to a mosque, on Chinese New Year.

So the SOP on religious gatherings or visits is really irrelevant, and shows their lack of understanding.

Reason #4 : Visitation In The Same Home Is Nonsensical

It is nonsensical to tell people living in the same house to visit each other. This probably only happens in Among Us.

Reason #5 : Capacity Limit In The Same House Is Nonsensical

It is also nonsensical to put an arbitrary limit of 20 people, when the SOP insists that they must all be living in the same house!

If they are all living in the same house, why does it matter if there are 5, 20, or 100 people?

Anyone sick with COVID-19 would have infected other members of the family, long before Chinese New Year!

Reason #6 : No Greeting Or Touching Family Members Is Nonsensical

It is nonsensical to insist that family members cannot greet or touch each other, when they are all LIVING IN THE SAME HOUSE!

How is that going to help prevent COVID-19 spread within the same house???

Does the government also expect husband and wife to sleep separately during the first two days of Chinese New Year?

Reason #7 : Physical Distancing In The Same House Is Nonsensical

This should have been obvious to our government officials – physical distancing in the same house is as asinine as physical distancing in a car.

Those living in the same house have already been in close contact for more than a year. How does it help to separate everyone by 1-2 metres for just two days during Chinese New Year?

Ministry of Education Website Uses Plain Text CAPTCHA!

It is unbelievable, but the Malaysia Ministry of Education’s website uses plain text CAPTCHA that can be copied and pasted!

Take a look at this incredulous security lapse, and find out why it could put your data at risk!

Ministry of Education Website Uses Plain Text CAPTCHA!

The recent threat by Anonymous Malaysia to attack government websites over their lack of security appears to be well-justified.

Qusyaire Ezwan spotted an incredulous security lapse in the official Malaysia Ministry of Education website – plain text CAPTCHA!

On top of that, the code can actually be copied and pasted!

Ministry of Education Plain Text CAPTCHA : A Serious Cybersecurity Risk!

The CAPTCHA (Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart) test is something most of us are familiar with.

It is a test that helps to identify real humans, and weed out bots, before they are allowed to access a service. This prevents bot fraud and hacking attempts.

In the Ministry of Education website, the plain text CAPTCHA was used to “secure” the retrieval of forgotten passwords for their Student Management Module.

A real CAPTCHA uses distorted images to prevent a bot from “reading” the numbers or letters, thereby ensuring that only a real human being would be able to key in the correct code.

As this screenshot shows, the CAPTCHA used in the Ministry of Education website just uses random sequences of letters and numbers in PLAIN TEXT!

This means a bot can easily copy and paste the plain text code, and bypass the CAPTCHA test.

Frankly, this doesn’t even qualify as a CAPTCHA test, because it cannot differentiate between humans and bots.

Now, the password is still sent to the registered email accounts, not to the hackers or bots. So your data is not in immediate danger.

However, this is still a SERIOUS cybersecurity risk, because a hacker can pair this design flaw with compromised email accounts.

It would allow their bots to easily and quickly make password retrieval requests for compromised email accounts, and then retrieve your Ministry of Education password.

Having access to the Student Management Module would give hackers access to a ton of information on children and their parents :

  • child : name, date of birth, telephone number, home address
  • school : location, class name, teacher’s name,
  • parent : name, occupation, workplace address, contact number, declared salary

On top of that, many people reuse their passwords, so hackers will use the password retrieved from the Ministry of Education website on other websites and online services you may use.

If you use the same password for your banking account, for example, that would expose your banking account to the hacker.

That is why CAPTCHA is important. It doesn’t prevent hacking attempts, but it greatly slows it down by blocking bots from making mass requests.

The use of plain text CAPTCHA in an official government website is a fiasco. A basic cybersecurity checklist would have prevented software vendors from using plain text CAPTCHA in government websites.

The Malaysian government needs to take the security of official websites seriously. This is a disgrace.

Keep Your iPhone + MagSafe Away From Medical Devices!

If you own an Apple iPhone or use an Apple MagSafe charger, please make sure you keep them away from medical devices!

Find out why you need to be careful about putting them in close proximity with medical devices!

iPhone 12 + MagSafe : As Safe As Older iPhone Models

On 23 January 2021, Apple updated their safety guidance on the magnets in their iPhones and MagSafe chargers.

It addressed the concerns about the radios and larger number of magnets used in their latest devices :

  • iPhone 12
  • iPhone 12 mini
  • iPhone 12 Pro
  • iPhone 12 Pro Max
  • MagSafe Charger
  • MagSafe Duo

Apple claims even though they contain more magnets than prior iPhone models, they are “not expected to pose a greater risk of magnetic interference to medical devices than prior iPhone models“.

Keep Your iPhone + MagSafe Away From Medical Devices!

While Apple does not believe that the risk is higher in these newer iPhone 12 models and MagSafe chargers, they also noted that the magnets and radios could pose a risk to medical devices in close proximity.

Medical devices such as implanted pacemakers and defibrillators might contain sensors that respond to magnets and radios when in close contact.

These magnets and electromagnetic fields might interfere with medical devices.

Therefore, Apple recommends that you keep ALL iPhone models and MagSafe chargers away from medical devices, like pacemakers and defibrillators.

  • more than 6 inches or 15 cm apart, or
  • more than 12 inches or 30 cm apart if wirelessly charging

They also advised all users to stop using their iPhone or MagSafe accessories, if they suspect that they may be interfering with medical devices.

Note : This does NOT mean that the magnetic fields or wireless emissions of your iPhone or MagSafe accessories are dangerous to your health. They only pose a risk to medical devices.

Safety Guidance On iPhone + MagSafe Magnets + Radios

Here is Apple’s latest safety guidance on iPhone and MagSafe magnets and radios :

iPhone contains magnets as well as components and radios that emit electromagnetic fields. All MagSafe accessories (each sold separately) also contain magnets—and MagSafe Charger and MagSafe Duo Charger contain radios. These magnets and electromagnetic fields might interfere with medical devices.

Though all iPhone 12 models contain more magnets than prior iPhone models, they’re not expected to pose a greater risk of magnetic interference to medical devices than prior iPhone models.

Medical devices such as implanted pacemakers and defibrillators might contain sensors that respond to magnets and radios when in close contact. To avoid any potential interactions with these devices, keep your iPhone and MagSafe accessories a safe distance away from your device (more than 6 inches / 15 cm apart or more than 12 inches / 30 cm apart if wirelessly charging). But consult with your physician and your device manufacturer for specific guidelines.

Consult your physician and medical device manufacturer for information specific to your medical device and whether you need to maintain a safe distance of separation between your medical device and iPhone or any MagSafe accessories. Manufacturers often provide recommendations on the safe use of their devices around wireless or magnetic products to prevent possible interference. If you suspect iPhone or any MagSafe accessories are interfering with your medical device, stop using your iPhone or MagSafe accessories.

Focus On Fauci : These Vaccine Lies Can Get You KILLED!

The viral video of four “experts” talking about the dangers of the COVID-19 vaccine is full of lies that can get you and your family KILLED!

Find out what’s going on, and why the lies being told about the COVID-19 vaccine could get you (and your family) killed!

Focus On Fauci : What Is It?

Focus on Fauci was a two-hour livestream by former rock musician, Sacha Stone, and headlined four “experts” on 5 January 2021 :

  • Robert F. Kennedy Jr – renown anti-vaccinationist, and nephew of John F. Kennedy
  • Dr. Judy Mikovits, PhD – former biochemistry research scientist
  • Dr. David E. Martin, PhD – a Fellow at the Darden School of Business Administration, University of Virginia
  • Dr. Rocco Galati  – a Canadian lawyer specialising in constitutional law

It claims to bring before the public, “the vast pathology of crimes against humanity, which many key researchers and experts allege against Anthony Fauci (the most powerful man on earth in the public health administration sector)”.

The Bombshell Revelation Of Vaccine Lies

None of them have any expertise in medicine or vaccine, and the entire livestream was full of lies and misinformation about the COVID-19 vaccine.

Dr. David Martin, in particular, dropped a “bombshell” – the clip of which many people have been sharing on WhatsApp, Facebook, YouTube, etc.

It has also been posted on many natural health and antivax websites as a “shocking bombshell revelation”.

We will show you why the many claims about the COVID-19 vaccine in that video clip are nothing more than LIES that can get you and your family killed.

Why These Lies About The COVID-19 Vaccine Can Get You KILLED!

Let us be clear – the Focus on Fauci event was nothing more than a livestream of vaccine lies and deceit, by people who have no conscience about getting other people killed.

Suicide is meant to be a solitary hobby, and suicide enablers should not be allowed to livestream their poison to the world.

Now, we are not trying to be hyperbolic, but those vaccine lies they told can get YOU, and your family, KILLED.

If they convince you not to vaccinate against SARS-CoV-2 virus, it puts your family at risk of getting infected and developing a serious case of COVID-19.

The chance of dying from COVID-19 ranges from 0.2% to 8.6%. That’s an average of 4.4%, or 44 people dying out of every 1,000 patients.

Let us put it this way. Would you risk getting on a plane without a parachute, knowing that 9 out of every 200 passengers will be thrown out the door mid-flight?

The vaccine is your parachute. It can save your life if you are amongst the unlucky nine to be thrown out of the plane!

Workers wearing protective gear bury bodies in a trench on Hart Island in New York City on April 9.

Focus On Fauci : The Lies Debunked!

Now, let’s go through the claims Dr. David Martin, PhD made about the COVID-19 vaccine, and show you why they are all LIES.

Claim #1 : Let’s make sure we are clear… This is not a vaccine.

FALSE. The Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines are vaccines, which by definition, are biological preparations that provide “active acquired immunity to a particular infectious disease“.

Claim #2 : They are using the term “vaccine” to sneak this thing under public health exemptions. This is not a vaccine.

FALSE. There is no public health exemption for COVID-19 vaccines. Neither is there a public health requirement for mandatory COVID-19 vaccination.

As a finance expert, and not a medical expert, he could be referring to the insistence by vaccine companies to be protected from legal liability for any side effects.

That, however, has to be approved by each individual country, and is constitutionally or financially impossible in most countries.

In countries that provide partial liability waivers for vaccine candidates that focus on fair distribution, instead of profits (e.g. AstraZeneca), the governments will pay claims that exceed an agreed limit.

Claim #3 : [The vaccine] is a medical device designed to simulate the human cell into becoming a pathogen creator.

FALSE. These vaccines do NOT turn your cells into pathogen creators. As we explained in our mRNA vaccine article, the mRNA only trains some of your cells to create the viral spike proteins.

These viral spike proteins are like the uniforms that identify the virus, and by expressing them on the surface of some of your cells, your body’s immune system is triggered.

Your body will learn to identify these “foreign uniforms” and create antibodies that target them, to prevent your cells from being infected when you get exposed to the real SARS-CoV-2 virus.

Claim #4 : [The vaccine] specifically has to stimulate both immunity… and disrupt transmission.

FALSE. Vaccines are, by definition, designed to confer active acquired immunity to the vaccinated. It does not need to prevent transmission, even though that would be ideal.

What this means is a fully-vaccinated person is protected against COVID-19, but may still inhale and retain the SARS-CoV-2 viral particles in his/her respiratory passages, and transmit them to an unvaccinated person.

That’s why it is important to vaccinate everyone, and not rely on the vaccinated to prevent transmission.

Claim #5 : [Pfizer and Moderna] have been abundantly clear [the vaccine] is not going to stop the transmission.

FALSE. Pfizer and Moderna said no such thing. They only said that there is NOT ENOUGH EVIDENCE YET to determine if their vaccines can ALSO prevent asymptomatic infection and transmission.

Claim #6 : It is a treatment [not a vaccine].

FALSE. They are vaccines that must be taken in advanced to train your body to build its own immunity. It cannot be used to treat anyone who has already contracted COVID-19.

Claim #7 : Moderna started as a chemotherapy company for cancer, not a vaccine manufacturer for SARS-CoV-2.

FALSE. Moderna started out specifically to commercialise mRNA technology. It’s even in their name – ModeRNA Therapeutics. That makes them perfectly suited to create and deliver mRNA vaccines.

Dr. David Martin is disingenuously insinuating that Moderna does not have any expertise in manufacturing SARS-CoV-2 vaccines. That’s true for every pharmaceutical company, big and small – because SARS-CoV-2 is a new virus!

We should also point out his hypocrisy – he is an expert on finance, not COVID-19. By his own standard, no one should bother with what he has to say about COVID-19! 🙂

Claim #8 : It Is A Medical Device (According To) CDRH Definition

FALSE. These mRNA vaccines are not defined as medical devices by the CDRH (Center for Devices and Radiological Health) of the US FDA, because :

  • the mRNA is absorbed and metabolised by the cells, and creates proteins through chemistry.

Like drugs, vaccines are NOT medical devices. It is illogical to call them devices.

Section 201(h) of the Federal Food Drug & Cosmetic (FD&C) Act defines a device as an “instrument, apparatus, implement, machine, contrivance, implant, in vitro reagent, or other similar or related article, including a component part, or accessory which is:

  • recognized in the official National Formulary, or the United States Pharmacopoeia, or any supplement to them
  • Intended for use in the diagnosis of disease or other conditions, or in the cure, mitigation, treatment, or prevention of disease, in man or other animals, or
  • Intended to affect the structure or any function of the body of man or other animals, and

which does not achieve its primary intended purposes through chemical action within or on the body of man or other animals and which is not dependent upon being metabolized for the achievement of its primary intended purposes.

Claim #9 : It Is Designed To Make You Sick

FALSE. These mRNA vaccines have been PROVEN in their stage 3 trials to be about 95% efficacious in PREVENTING sickness.

Claim #10 : 80% of [vaccinated] people experience a clinical adverse event

FALSE. The Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine’s trial result showed that there were only 8 adverse events out of 18,904 people who were vaccinated.

That’s 0.04%, not 80%. Dr. David Martin either miscalculated, or intentionally inflated the risk by 2000X. Quite a mistake for a finance expert…

Can This Corona Kashayam Recipe Prevent COVID-19?

Does this recipe for a corona kashayam really work to prevent COVID-19 infections?

Take a look at this corona kashayam recipe, and find out if it actually works against COVID-19!

Corona Kashayam : A Handwritten Recipe

On 14 January 2021, MDEC Chairman Dr. Rais Hussin shared a recipe for a Corona Kashayam – an Ayurvedic medicinal tea designed to combat COVID-19.

This handwritten Corona Kashayam recipe claims to “protect before corona symptoms, cure after coronavirus“.

Dr. Rais Hussin stated in his tweet, “Try this… I have started … May help to prevent virus attack!

Note : We added the HOAX and laughing overlays to prevent this from being further abused.

Corona Kashayam : As Effective As English Breakfast

We have to CLEARLY and UNEQUIVOCALLY state that the medicinal tea made using this Corona Kashayam recipe will NOT, repeat, will NOT prevent or cure COVID-19.

This Corona Kashayam is as effective as English Breakfast against COVID-19, just doesn’t taste as nice.

Our advice? Enjoy a cup of English Breakfast, and if you do leave home, make sure :

And if you are lucky enough to get a COVID-19 vaccine, TAKE IT!

For those who want to find out more why this Corona Kashayam is useless against COVID-19…

Fact #1 : There Is Still No Cure For COVID-19

As of January 2021, there is still NO CURE for COVID-19.

If this is a proven cure, the inventor would be a good candidate for the Nobel Prize for Medicine.

Fact #2 : There Are Now Vaccines To Prevent COVID-19

Fortunately, there are now several vaccines that have been proven to prevent COVID-19.

The first two are mRNA-based vaccines from Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna.

If you have the opportunity to get vaccinated against COVID-19, you should take it, instead of relying on a handwritten recipe.

Recommended : Pfizer + Moderna mRNA Vaccines : How Do They Work?

Fact #3 : Kashayam Is Used In Ayurveda, Not Allopathic Medicine

The handwritten recipe claims that it was described by an allopathic doctor.

Allopathy refers to modern, science-based medicine, as opposed to homeopathy, Ayurveda and other “alternative” kinds of treatments.

Kashayam is a medicinal tea concoction that is only used in Ayurvedic medicine. No doctor trained in science-based medicine would ever prescribe such a “treatment”.

Fact #4 : Turmeric, Cloves, Lemon + Ginger Will Not Kill SARS-CoV-2

Turmeric, cloves, lemon and ginger are common ingredients in Asian cuisine, so if they do really work against the SARS-CoV-2 virus, Asian countries would not be affected by COVID-19.

Yet, India saw her COVID-19 CASES rise from 8,000 per day in June 2020, to over 97,000 per day in September 2020!

Fact #5 : This Kashayam Recipe Was Confirmed False In June 2020

This Corona Kashayam recipe has been circulating since June 2020, and was confirmed false by Dr. Govind Khati, Dean of the RA Polar College of Ayurveda in Mumbai, who said that it was only an “immunity booster“.

All these ingredients help in improving immunity against normal colds, coughs, and fevers but have their own limitations in terms of action. They only help in reducing pressure on the lungs

Fact Check : Can Betadine + Listerine Prevent COVID-19?

A viral message claims that Malaysian experts found that gargling with Betadine and Listerine can prevent COVID-19!

Find out what’s going on, and what the facts really are!

Claim : Gargling Betadine + Listerine Prevents COVID-19!

This graphics has been circulating on WhatsApp and Facebook with the claim (in Bahasa Malaysia and English) :

Pakar M’sia mendapati berkumur dengan BETADINE atau LISTERINE, 3 kali sehari selama 4 hari berturut-turut boleh membunuh virus COVID-19.

Hasil penemuan telah diserah kepada KKM.

Malaysian experts found that gargling with BETADINE or LISTERINE, 3 times a day for 4 days consecutively can kill the COVID-19 virus.

The results of this discovery has been submitted to the Malaysia Ministry of Health.

Can Betadine + Listerine Prevent COVID-19? No, They Cannot!

Here is the short, TLDR summary – NO, gargling Betadine or Listerine mouthwash will NOT kill the SARS-CoV-2 virus, and prevent it from infecting you.

For those who want to learn more WHY this is just another Internet hoax…

Fact #1 : SARS-CoV-2 Is A Respiratory Virus

SARS-CoV-2 infects mainly through respiratory droplets that you BREATHE in.

No amount of gargling with Betadine or Listerine mouthwash can prevent you from breathing in SARS-CoV-2, and getting infected.

Fact #2 : LISTERINE Cannot Prevent COVID-19

LISTERINE ís an antiseptic mouthwash, that has little to no antiviral properties. Some formulations have alcohol, but only up to 20%.

Johnson & Johnson even has a special page to warn people that LISTERINE is NOT intended to “reduce the risk of, prevent or treat COVID-19 infections”.

It also warns against using it to sanitise your hands or surfaces, because it simply will NOT kill the SARS-CoV-2 virus.

Fact #3 : Betadine Cannot Prevent COVID-19

Betadine mouthwash uses povidone iodine, but it has not been demonstrated to be effective at killing the COVID-19 virus.

In fact, Avrio Health has a special page to warn people that Betadine has NOT been demonstrated to be “effective for the treatment or prevention of COVID-19 or any other viruses.

Fact #4 : KKM Confirms It’s Fake News

In a post posted on 13 January 2021, Dr. Iqbal Rosali, a dentist from the Ministry of Health, confirmed that this is fake news.

He also explained that in dentistry, mouthwash is used to reduce the risk of getting infected by their patients (who may have COVID-19).

Before doing a procedure that can create an aerosol (filling, scaling), the patient will be asked to gargle with mouthwash.

Fact #5 : Mouthwash Protects Dentists, Not Users

Studies like this show that povidone iodine is effective in reducing the viral load in a patient’s mouth.

This helps to reduce the risk of an asymptomatic COVID-19 patient unknowingly infecting the dentist.

However, it does not prevent the mouthwash user from getting infected. It only protects the dentist.
