This is yet another example of celebrity FAKE NEWS circulating on social media, and here are the reasons why…
Fact #1 : People Were Mixing Him Up With Pat Robertson!
Most of the recent viral posts occurred because people were mixing Robert Pattinson with the controversial Christian evangelist, Pat Robertson.
Pat Robertson died at home on June 8, 2023, and when the news broke, many people mixed up the names, and “thought” it was Robert Pattinson who died! This is what is known as a cognitive glitch.

Fact #2 : Robert Pattinson Is Still Alive + Well!
Unlike Pat Robertson, Robert Pattinson (born Robert Douglas Thomas Pattinson on 13 May 1986) is still very much alive and well.
He was last seen publicly leaving a New York City gym with his girlfriend, Suki Waterhouse, on Monday afternoon, 5 June 2023.
If Robert Pattinson was even injured, never mind died, the worldwide media and celebrity websites and blogs would have reported on his injury.
Yet, no legitimate media, or even celebrity blogs, reported his sudden death. That’s because it never happened.
Fact #3 : Robert Pattinson Death Hoax Is Driven By Fake Fact Check Too
This Robert Pattinson death hoax, ironically, is also being driven by another fake fact check article by MediaMass Project.
News of actor Robert Pattinson’s death spread quickly earlier this week causing concern among fans across the world. However the June 2023 report has now been confirmed as a complete hoax and just the latest in a string of fake celebrity death reports. Thankfully, the actor best known for his role in The Twilight Saga is alive and well.
Their claim of a viral R.I.P. Robert Pattinson Facebook page is false. There is no such Facebook page. It is their standard fake fact check spiel for fake celebrity deaths.
The statement from Robert Pattinson’s unnamed reps confirming that he is not dead is exactly the same as statements from other celebrities whose reps MediaMass claimed were victims of death hoaxes, like Celine Dion, Morgan Freeman, Bruce Willis, Taylor Swift, Simon Cowell, Cristiano Ronaldo, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Justin Bieber, Harrison Ford, Sylvester Stallone, Tom Hanks, Lucy Liu, Clint Eastwood, Dolly Parton, and Melanie Laurent.
He joins the long list of celebrities who have been victimized by this hoax. He’s still alive and well, stop believing what you see on the Internet.
Hidden in the description page for the MediaMass Project is a disclaimer that it is a “satire” website. That’s the usual “cover” for websites peddling fake news.
Regardless of their reasons, anything posted by MediaMass.net must be considered as fake news, until proven otherwise.
