Leica & Huawei P9 Photography Workshops

Kuala Lumpur, 28 July 2016 – With widely expanding reach of mobile phone technology at rapid speed, the use of smart phone to take photos has changed the face of contemporary photography. Encouraged and enthused by the mobile way of clicking, Huawei and LEICA Malaysia is hosting a series of mobile photography workshops for all of its P9 and P9 Plus users.

Taking its mission forward to make professional photography accessible to each of its users, the P9 photography workshops will be conducted by photographers engaged by LEICA, Aqmal Hadi Shapee, Nadirah Zakariya and Nic Chung who are all recognised and featured by a selection of representative work and creative contributions.

This will include a variety of genres ranging from still monochrome, street photography and portraits.

During this comprehensive workshop, participants will learn essential techniques using the Huawei P9 and P9 Plus from these photographers. Following a theory session, participants will then be asked to capture images of their surroundings as per the tips and guidance by the photographers.

The p9 photography workshop is also part of Huawei’s ongoing commitment to provide its P9 and P9 Plus users with lessons on smartphone photography which has become a powerful medium for photography enthusiasts to fulfil their creative urge and share it on their social media accounts.

The Huawei P9 and P9 Plus are the first smartphones born out of a collaboration between Huawei and the global iconic camera brand – Leica, resulting in a stunning dual-lens camera smartphone.

It sets a new benchmark in smartphone camera technology, with the ability to capture lighter and better photo clarity to produce brilliant colour and striking black and white images in true Leica style.
