The Nokia 8.1 Smartphone Revealed!
HMD Global is pitching the Nokia 8.1 as a “value flagship” device, with two main selling points – PureDisplay and ZEISS optics. Here is a summary of its key features…
Qualcomm Snapdragon 710
The Nokia 8.1 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710, the same mobile SoC that powers the impressive OPPO R17 Pro.
It boasts 35% faster graphics performance, and 20% better CPU performance than the previous-generation Snapdragon 660 mobile SoC.
Nokia PureDisplay
The Nokia 8.1 has a large 6.18-inch PureDisplay with a Full HD+ resolution, and a maximum brightness of 500 nits. PureDisplay is Nokia’s term for a HDR 10 display.
ZEISS Optics
Its main camera has a 12 MP sensor with ZEISS optics that support optical image stabilisation (OIS). It is paired with a 13 MP depth sensor. In the front, it has a 20 MP front camera.
