Nintendo 3DS eShop Shutting Down For Good!

The Nintendo 3DS eShop is shutting down for good on 27 March 2023! That means you will no longer be able to buy or download new games from the 3DS or Wii U eShop after 27 March 2023.

You also won’t be able to purchase in-game content, download demos or free-to-play software, or redeem download codes, or add funds to your 3DS or Wii U account.

You can, however, still redownload games or content that you purchased before the cut-off date, albeit for an undisclosed amount of time.

 

Three Nintendo 3DS Games Are Now FREE!

These three Nintendo 3DS are now free, if you add them before the eShop shuts down for good. However, one or two of them may be country / region-limited.

Digger Dan DX

Digger Dan has found an old mine full of caves, still brimming with treasure. Can you guide him in the right direction by digging through the earth to collect the gems and nuggets of gold? Work out your path carefully as you push rocks out of the way, or you could find Dan caught in one of the many traps.

Kid Tripp

Miles & Kilo

Three Nintendo 3DS Games : How To Get Them FREE!

  1. Log into your existing Nintendo 3DS account.
  2. Go to the Digger Dan DX page.
  3. Click on the Free download button.
  4. Go to the Kid Tripp page.
  5. Click on the Free download button.
  6. Go to the Miles & Kilo page.
  7. Click on the Free download button.

That’s it! All three games are now added to your Nintendo 3DS account, and you can download and install them anytime after this.

Make sure you follow these steps to get the Swedish Chef DLC for FREE by 30 April 2021.

PC (Steam)

  1. Log into your existing Steam account, or create a new account.
  2. Go to the Swedish Chef DLC page on Steam.
  3. Click on the green Download button.

PS4 / PS5

  1. Log into your existing PlayStation account, or create a new account.
  2. Search for the Swedish Chef DLC page in the PlayStation Store.
  3. Click on the orange Add to Library button.

Xbox

  1. Log into your existing Microsoft account, or create a new account.
  2. Go to the Swedish Chef page.
  3. Click on the blue Get button.

Switch

  1. Log into your existing Nintendo account, or create a new account.
  2. Go to the Overcooked! All You Can Eat page.
  3. Scroll to the Individual DLC section at the bottom.
  4. Click on the red Free download button.

That’s it! You now have the Swedish Chef DLC in your account.

Note : You need the Overcooked! All You Can Eat base game for this DLC to work.

The Bandai Namco Uniform Set is an exclusive DLC that is available for FREE for a limited time on the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and Steam platforms.

It gives you both the special yellow and red Bandai Namco uniform, and the Bandai Namco branded ball.

Just follow these steps to get it FREE from now until 1 January 2021.

  1. Go to the official Bandai Namco Uniform Set DLC page.
  2. Scroll down to the Claim Your Free DLC section.
  3. Select your preferred platform – PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch of Steam.
  4. Key in your email address, and click Submit.

Bandai Namco will add you to their mailing list, and email you the code to redeem the free DLC.

Note : This DLC requires the base game – Captain Tsubasa : Rise of New Champions to work.

Minecraft Dungeons is an action-adventure dungeon crawler game, set within the Minecraft universe.

Mojang promises that it will offer challenges and adventure for players of all skill sets and playing types.

On top of that, you will be able to play with your family and friends both online, and through local co-op play.

Fight your way through an all-new action-adventure game, inspired by classic dungeon crawlers and set in the Minecraft universe! Up to four friends can play together, or you can brave the dungeons alone!

 

Minecraft Dungeons : Editions + Price

Minecraft Dungeons is available on Xbox Game Pass, Xbox One, Windows PC, Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4.

It is currently available in two editions at these price points :

  • Standard Edition : $19.99
  • Hero Edition : $29.99

The Standard Edition is the base game. The Hero Edition comes with a Hero Cape, two player skins, a chicken pet, and two DLCs which will be released later.

Don’t worry if you purchase the Standard Edition first. You can upgrade it with the Hero Pass, which upgrades it to the Hero Edition :

Minecraft Dungeons : Upcoming DLCs

According to Mojang, the first two DLC packs included in the Hero Edition / Hero Pass are already in production, adding more adventures and challenges.

They also revealed that the first DLC will be called Jungle Awakens with this tidbit :

Trek through new missions that will take you to the heart of the jungle where you’ll find new weapons, armor and artifacts. This journey is meant for the bravest of heroes, for all twisted vines and paths lead to the source of corruption: the Jungle Abomination.

Minecraft Gets FREE Way of the Bee Map!

For this holiday season, Mojang is giving away a free Minecraft map called Way of the Bee, created by the Razzleberries team.

Mojang’s Tom Stone asked their studio lead, Mariana Graham for some information on the old timer dressed as a bee in the map :

Mariana said, “Some say he’s not touched the ground in over a decade, and that his tongue is three feet long. All we know is he’s called the bee scientist!

The bee scientist took his love of bees to extremes by choosing to live among his favourite flower-feeders instead of other humans, learning their ways, tending their hives and eating their honey.

He’s far from happy about the state of Poppy Isle, where bees have all but died out, and thus is ecstatic to see someone from there taking an interest in bees and trying to re-introduce them!”

To meet the bee scientist, go to the Minecraft Marketplace on your platform of choice, and help yourself to the Way of the Bee map!

NVIDIA Powers Nintendo Switch Home Gaming System

The first thing to know about the new Nintendo Switch home gaming system: it’s really fun to play. With great graphics, loads of game titles and incredible performance, the Nintendo Switch will provide people with many hours of engaging and interactive gaming entertainment.

But creating a device so fun required some serious engineering. The development encompassed 500 man-years of effort across every facet of creating a new gaming platform: algorithms, computer architecture, system design, system software, APIs, game engines and peripherals. They all had to be rethought and redesigned for Nintendo to deliver the best experience for gamers, whether they’re in the living room or on the move.

 

Nintendo Switch

A Console Architecture for the Living Room and Beyond

Nintendo Switch is powered by the performance of the custom Tegra processor. The high-efficiency scalable processor includes an NVIDIA GPU based on the same architecture as the world’s top-performing GeForce gaming graphics cards.

The Nintendo Switch’s gaming experience is also supported by fully custom software, including a revamped physics engine, new libraries, advanced game tools and libraries. NVIDIA additionally created new gaming APIs to fully harness this performance. The newest API, NVN, was built specifically to bring lightweight, fast gaming to the masses.
