People are sharing an article (archive) by The People’s Voice (formerly NewsPunch), which claims or suggests that NASA documents reveal that it plans to play a leading role in a Mass Extinction Event in 2025!

Official NASA Documents Confirm Plans For Mass Extinction Event in 2025

Official NASA documents reveal the agency has been preparing for decades to play a leading role in a mass extinction event in 2025 that will lead to the collapse of civilization and the depopulation of the majority of people on planet earth.

During a PowerPoint presentation, NASA’s Chief Scientist Dennis Bushnell outlined plans for a devastating series of inside job terror attacks and biological warfare on US soil against US citizens in 2025 as part of the plot to destroy civilization as we know it.

Alarmingly, many of the details outlined in the NASA PowerPoint presentation have already occurred, indicating that the plans for the mass extinction event are well underway.

A PowerPoint presentation by Chief NASA Scientist Dennis Bushnell at the Langley Center in July 2001 detailed a plan to wage war on humanity and radically depopulate the planet… in the year 2025.

According to the NASA presentation, the year 2025 will feature terrorist attacks in the United States, biological attacks, and an EMP or electromagnetic pulse.

Critical infrastructure will be destroyed as part of the plan to bring civilization to its knees, and American citizens will be tortured on prime time news.

Truth : NASA did not confirm plans for 2025 Mass Extinction Event!

This is yet another example of fake news created / promoted by The People’s Voice, and here are the reasons why…

Fact #1 : NASA is not planning for mass extinction event in 2025

Let me start by simply pointing out that NASA is not planning to initiate, or participate in, a mass extinction event in 2025. That’s just silly.

If there was even a hint (never mind an actual NASA document!) of such a dastardly NASA plot to kill billions of people, it would have sparked mass outrage and numerous criminal investigations.

None of that ever happened. No legitimate media reporting, no mobs of outraged people picketing outside NASA, no Congressional investigations, no criminal indictments, nothing.

Unsurprisingly, The People’s Voice article did not provide any actual evidence NASA is planning to “play a leading role in a mass extinction event in 2025“.

Fact #2 : It was a NASA presentation on the future of warfare

The NASA document in question – Future Strategic Issues/Future Warfare [Circa 2025], which was written by NASA Chief Scientist Dennis Bushnell, has nothing to do with any mass extinction event.

If you look at the PowerPoint presentation (PDF), you can see that it was a prediction of the future of warfare meant to inform the US military on:

future war fighting concepts
new procurement decisions
“heads up” for the intelligence community
Department of Defense R&D planning

There is nothing in the entire NASA document that even suggests a mass extinction event in 2025, much less revealing that NASA intends to play a major role in such a plot. Why on Earth (a NASA pun!) would anyone suggest otherwise???

Fact #3 : 2025 refers to time period for developing new systems

The 2025 reference is not a “deadline” for some kind of nefarious plot, like a mass extinction event. Rather, it was a timeline for the development and fielding of new systems. This was clearly explained on page 5 of the document:

Order of 10+ years required to develop/field new systems, in inventory for 30+ years, should be designed for middle of inventory period, hence 2025 time period

In the very last page, Dennis Bushnell also wrote about warfare changes in time period of 2030 due to on going revolutions in IT, biotechnology, nanotechnology, etc. Now, why would he be talking about 2030 and beyond, if NASA was going to obliterate humanity in 2025?

Fact #4 : NASA document photo is fake

The People’s Voice article and video used a cover image which purportedly shows a NASA document with the title “depopulation plans for 2025“. That is a fake image that appears to be AI-generated.

If you look at the actual NASA document (PDF), you can see that there is no such title. In fact, it doesn’t even mention the word “depopulation” even once!

And if you take a closer look at the photo, you can see that other than the title “depopulation plans for 2025” and the NASA logo, the rest of the text is gibberish – a clear sign of generative AI.

Fact #5 : It was an old NASA presentation

I should also point out that this NASA document is old, being published in 2011 – 13 years ago! That’s very old as technology goes.

NASA Chief Scientist Dennis Bushnell, who wrote it, shared it as part of his presentation at the 4th Annual Testing and Training for Readiness Symposium & Exhibition, which ran from 13-16 August 2011.

The document was released by NASA under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) at least since 4 April 2016 (XLS record), and is available for viewing and downloading at multiple websites.

So why would anyone bring up this old NASA presentation on the future of warfare that is clearly outdated, and suggest that it reveals NASA’s non-existent plans to “play a leading role in a mass extinction event in 2025“???

Fact #6 : NASA photo does not show Dennis Bushnell

The NASA photo that The People’s Voice article and video used does not show Dennis Bushnell at all. Neither was it taken at his August 2011 presentation.

Instead, the photo shows Trent J. Perrotto from the NASA Office of Communications hosting a news conference (video) on the Completion of the Commercial Orbital Transportation Services (COTS) initiative at NASA Headquarters on 14 November 2013.

NASA Chief Scientist Dennis Bushnell was not present at that briefing, so why would anyone use that completely unrelated photo of other NASA officials in an article about him???

Fact #7 : The People’s Voice is known for fake news

The People’s Voice is the current name for NewsPunch, which possibly changed its name because its brand has been so thoroughly discredited after posting numerous shocking but fake stories.

Founded as Your News Wire in 2014, it was rebranded as NewsPunch in November 2018, before becoming The People’s Voice. A 2017 BuzzFeed report identified NewsPunch as the second-largest source of popular fake news on Facebook that year.

Truth : Rare Rainbow Was Not Captured By Pilot At 30,000 Feet!

This is yet another example of FAKE PHOTOS circulating on WhatsApp and social media platforms like Instagram and Facebook, and here are the reasons why…

Fact #1 : Photo Was Not Taken By Lloyd J Ferraro

Lead Stories spoke to the pilot, Lloyd J Ferraro, on March 1, 2023. He has seen circular rainbows while flying, but he did not take that viral photo.

Ferraro shared that both he and his colleague copied and shared the rainbow image on social media, but he did not take the photo himself.

Fact #2 : Circular Rainbows Are Not Particularly Rare

Lloyd J Ferraro said that full-circle rainbows are not as rare as people think, and people do not need to be in an airplane to see one – a full circle rainbow can be observed from any high vantage point, like a mountain top.

In fact, NASA featured this full circle rainbow photo as its Astronomy Picture of the Day on December 27, 2022. That amazing photo of a full circle rainbow was taken using a drone by Swiss photographer Lukas Moesch over the Lofoten islands of Norway.

NASA also explained why full circle rainbows are more commonly seen from the air, instead of the ground.

Have you ever seen an entire rainbow? From the ground, typically, only the top portion of a rainbow is visible because directions toward the ground have fewer raindrops. From the air, though, the entire 360-degree circle of a rainbow is more commonly visible.

Pictured here, a full-circle rainbow was captured over the Lofoten Islands of Norway in September by a drone passing through a rain shower.

An observer-dependent phenomenon primarily caused by the internal reflection of sunlight by raindrops, the rainbow has a full diameter of 84 degrees. The Sun is in the exact opposite direction from the rainbow’s center. As a bonus, a second rainbow that was more faint and color-reversed was visible outside the first.

Fact #3 : Rainbow Photo Originated In Xiaohongshu

Lloyd J Ferraro could not have been the creator of the photo, because the viral photo of the rare circular rainbow circulated much earlier.

It appeared to have been posted in the Facebook group, Beautiful Nature, as part of a 5-photo collection of rainbows on February 6, 2023. After that, it went viral with many people sharing it on Facebook and Twitter.

But a closer examination of these photos will show a digital watermark at their lower right corners. These photos were created by someone with the user ID of 5463530014 on the Chinese social shopping platform Xiaohongshu (Little Red Book).

Fact #4 : Professor Labelled Rainbow Photo As Fake

Lead Stories asked Roland Stull, a professor of Atmospheric Science at the University of British Columbia to analyse the photo. He labelled it as a fake rainbow photo, and explained why:

It is fake. Rainbows form a circle centered around the shadow of the photographer or the camera; namely, looking away from the sun.

In the photo you attached, based on the sides of the clouds that are illuminated by the sun, the rainbow incorrectly appears to be in the direction of the sun, not opposite to the sun. Also, the rainbow circle itself appears to be incorrectly touching the location in the sky where the sun is (even though it is hidden behind a cloud), instead of the circle being centered on a shadow opposite to the sun (i.e., centered around the “anti-solar” point).

Fact #5 : Rainbow Photo Most Likely Generated By AI

It is not possible to know if the fake rainbow photo was digitally drawn by an artist, or created by AI image generators.

However, due to the numerous examples of similar rainbow photos with the same tone and colour palette, they were all likely generated by text-to-image generators like Midjourney, DALL-E or Stable Diffusion.

Truth : Buzz Aldrin Did NOT Admit Moon Landing Was Fake!

This is yet another example of FAKE NEWS created on TikTok, and shared on social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter, and here are the reasons why…

Fact #1 : These Are Old Videos

First, let me just point out that the viral video clip consists of three old video clips from 2005 and 2015.

first part was from a Q&A session with Buzz Aldrin at the Oxford Union in 2015
second part was from an interview with Buzz Aldrin at the 2015 National Book Festival
third part was from an old Conan O’Brien interview of Buzz Aldrin from 2000.

They are not new or recent by any measure, so claiming that Buzz Aldrin “just” admitted that the famous first moon landing was fake is nonsense.

Fact #2 : The Video Clips Were Edited To Remove Context

The three video clips are real, but were edited to remove context, in order to misrepresent what Buzz Aldrin said.

In the first video clip, Buzz Aldrin was asked by an audience member, what was “the scariest moment of the journey”, to which he replied, “Scariest? It didn’t happen. It could’ve been scary, don’t you think?”

The video creator cut the clip at that point, to make it look like Buzz Aldrin said that the moon landing didn’t happen. The truth is – Buzz Aldrin was referring to how the “scariest moment” could have, but fortunately did not happen.

In the part that was edited out, Buzz Aldrin explained how he saw a “broken circuit breaker” in the dust on the floor of the lunar module – “there was something that didn’t look like it belonged there“. He then explained how pushing that circuit breaker with a pen sent the necessary power to the engine that helped return them to Earth.

In the second video clip, Buzz Aldrin was asked why nobody has “been to the moon in such a long time“, to which he responded, “because we didn’t go there, and that’s the way it happened“.

The video creator edited out the subsequent part which shows Aldrin explaining that “we need to know why something stopped in the past if we wanted to keep it going“, and saying that money was a factor, as more money is needed for new equipment, “instead of keep doing the same thing“.

The third video clip shows Buzz Aldrin being interviewed by Conan O’Brien about the animations used in the TV coverage of the moon landing. He explained that the TV stations were using those animations with the actual audio because there was no one on the moon to film the moon landing!

Fact #3 : Buzz Aldrin Has Long Called For A Return To The Moon.

Buzz Aldrin has never said that the moon landings were fake, or that NASA never made it to the moon. In fact, he also long called for a return to the moon.

In August 2017 – 48 years after the Apollo 11 moon landing, he made another open call for a return to the moon, as the first step towards sending humans to Mars.

I think the National Space Council could exert a strong position of leadership by pulling together space-capable nations to forge a partnership — one that utilizes low Earth orbit and the Moon as a testing ground for technologies needed to make possible footprints on faraway Mars.

The United States is the experienced and potential leader of this coalition of space-capable countries. Doing so could decrease the cost of many activities in Earth orbit and at the Moon in preparation for Mars.

Given the reactivation of the National Space Council, I call upon them to help secure a bold presidential commitment. That is, on the 50th anniversary of the first Apollo landing on the Moon in 2019, to commit to a continued occupation of Mars with international crews. Through U.S. leadership, we can facilitate and sustain the arrival of humans on Mars.

Fact #4 : Buzz Aldrin Punched Moon Landing Denier In 2019

It is also ludicrous to claim that Edwin “Buzz” Aldrin wanted to avoid NASA censorship, and sneak word out that the moon landing was fake.

Buzz Aldrin was been outspoken about the moon landing, and has never claimed that it was fake. In fact, he once punched Bart Sibrel – a conspiracy theorists who made “documentaries” like A funny thing happened on the way to the moon (2001) and Astronauts Gone Wild (2004).

On 9 September 2002, Bart Sibrel cornered Buzz Aldrin in Beverly Hills, asking him if the moon landing and his lunar walk was fake, and badgering him to swear on the Bible. But when he called Aldrin “a coward, and a liar, and a thief”, Buzz Aldrin punched him in the face.

One small punch for Sibrel, one giant slap for conspiracy theories!

Fact #5 : Moon Landing Was Not A Hoax

It is now 2023 – over 53 years since Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin became the first human beings to step foot on the moon. We need to stop believing in fake news, because over the last half century, this conspiracy theory has been repeatedly debunked:

the Apollo program involved over 400,000 people, and no one has ever produced a single shred of evidence it was fake.
Each Apollo lander left a “retroreflector” on the moon, which are used to measure the moon’s distance. Anyone with a powerful enough laser can prove that the moon landings are real by aiming it at any of these retroreflectors.
The NASA Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter mapped the moon’s surface in detail in 2009, and returned images of the Apollo landing sites, showing the lunar modules, flags and astronaut footprints.
The six Apollo missions brought back 380 kg of moon rock samples that are 200 million years older than any Earth rocks.

He’s such a dolt! How can global warming be real if the North Pole is still so freaking cold?!

No, Al Gore Did NOT Say North Pole Will Be Ice-Free By 2013

This meme would be somewhat funny, if anti-climate change deniers did not keep updating it and reusing it to push their false beliefs.

Whether people who shared them are actual climate change deniers, or just useful idiots, is hard to know.

But what we know is that this meme is FALSE. Al Gore did not say that the North Pole will be ice-free by 2013.

Here are the facts…

Fact #1 : Al Gore Misstated Forecast In 2009

This false meme is based on a flub Al Gore made in 2009, when he spoke at the Copenhagen climate change summit.

He misstated a forecast one scientist provided his office earlier, stating that “some of the models suggest to Dr Maslowski that there is a 75% chance that the entire north polar ice cap, during the summer months, could be completely ice-free within 5 to 7 years“.

The truth is – Dr Maslowski, who worked at the US Naval Postgraduate School in California, stated that his results (at that time) gave a 6-year projection for the melting of 80% of the sea ice, but he expects some ice to remain beyond 2020.

Fact #2 : They Were Referring To Sea Ice

A very important point that climate change deniers don’t tell you is that both Al Gore and Dr. Maslowski were not talking about the entire North Pole being ice-free.

They were both talking about SEA ICE at the North Pole disappearing during the warmest months of the year.

Historically, sea ice drops by 50~56% every year, so an 80% reduction in sea ice during the warmest months would be a possibility in a warming world, albeit an unprecedented one.

These two NASA maps show the change in sea ice in 2016. As you can see, the amount of sea ice present at the North Pole greatly fluctuates throughout the year.

Fact #3 : 2009 + 5~7 Years ≠ 2013

What really perplexes us is how bad climate change deniers are at basic mathematics.

Even if you take Al Gore’s flub at full face value, the North Pole would be ice-free by 2014 to 2016, not 2013.

Yet, every year, they use the same false meme on the North Pole becoming ice-free by 2013.

They should have stayed in school…

Fact #4 : That Was An Extreme Projection

The projection by Dr. Wieslav Maslowski was considered an extreme projection, with most climate scientists agreeing that a 20-30 year timescale is more likely for the disappearance of sea ice.

Even so, he did not say the North Pole would be completely ice-free, only that 80% of the Arctic sea ice would disappear during the warmest months.

Fact #5 : Sea Ice Continues To Shrink

Al Gore may have been wrong in saying that the North Pole would be ice-free by 2014 to 2016, but it is a fact that the Arctic sea ice have been steadily shrinking over years.

Forget about projections. Here are the actual satellite measurements of Arctic sea ice from 1979 until 2015.

The minimum area of Arctic sea ice halved from about 7.5 million km² in 1980 to 3.4 million km² in September 2012.

With maximum Arctic sea ice between 14-16 million km² in the coolest months, a drop to 3.4 million km² represents a 75.7% drop in sea ice – not very far off from what Dr. Maslowski modelled in 2009…

Amongst many incredible highlights, the show presents exhibits on the gigantic Saturn V Moon Rocket, full-size models of the pioneering Mercury spacecraft, the Apollo Command Module that carried the first humans to the Moon, the Rover astronauts used to explore the Moon, and a full-size model of the front section of NASA’s iconic Space Shuttle.

The exploration of space is an astonishing human story. NASA – A Human Adventure shows the spirit and fortitude involved in surviving in space, and reflects on the sacrifices of the men and women whose own journeys into space ended in tragedy. The exhibition also shows that space exploration has always been an international endeavour, and how the Space Race grew out of the rivalry between the United States and the Soviet Union.

Through the presentation of modern achievements, such as the development of the International Space Station, the show reveals how space now brings countries and cultures together. “This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see the spacecraft, rockets and technology that changed history and our understanding of our universe.

NASA – A Human Adventure is a blockbuster exhibition that brings visitors on an extraordinary journey through 100 years of human space adventure, starting with the dreams of artists and writers, and culminating with engineering marvels that changed the world. Space is a topic that touches all of us, and the endeavours of the astronauts and cosmonauts that pioneered this new frontier over the past decades, have captivated generations of people from around the world. By bringing the largest travelling space-flight exhibition ever assembled to ArtScience Museum, we hope to give our visitors in Singapore and South East Asia a unique chance to become part of this incredible story.

Produced by John Nurminen Events B.V. the exhibition made its world premiere at Tekniska Museet (The National Museum of Science and Technology) in Stockholm, Sweden in 2011. Since then, it has travelled to Madrid, Istanbul, Tokyo, Bangkok, Seoul and Taipei, among others. Singapore is the next stop.

Narrated through five galleries – Dreamers, Go Fever, Pioneers, Endurance and Innovation, NASA – A Human Adventure introduces visitors the people, technology and engineering feats that have captured the imagination of many, while inspiring dreams of future space exploration.

The Dreamers Gallery 1 focuses on dreamers – the men who dreamed of space exploration and devoted their lives to making that dream a reality. Visitors will be treated to a display of portraits of Leonardo Da Vinci, Jules Verne, H.G. Wells, Chesley Bonestell, Robert McCall, and other famous individuals who showed an interest in space: writers who imagined space travels, and artists who dreamed on how other worlds might appear.

Go Fever Go Fever provides visitors with a historical journey of the conquest of Space Race between the United States and the Soviet Union as a direct result of the Cold War. This race allowed major achievements in space technology, rapidly pushing the boundaries of human achievements. This gallery will reveal the triumphant space discovery-related events in history: the Soviet launch of Sputnik in 1957, the first man made satellite to orbit the Earth; the establishment of NASA by American President Eisenhower in 1958; Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin, the first human to journey into space in April 1961 and astronaut Alan Shepard, the first American in space in May 1961.

Pioneers This gallery is dedicated to the genius rocket scientists and engineers who made the ambitious dreams of space travel a reality. Their remarkable technological achievements are truly awe-inspiring. The Pioneers gallery shows the amazing and swift evolution of rockets created by NASA scientists. On display is a 10-metre long model of the Saturn V Moon Rocket, the largest and most powerful launcher ever successfully used and is the only rocket capable of taking men to the Moon and back.

Endurance This gallery explores the challenges of travelling to space and surviving the hostile environment. Visitors will learn about the endurance of the astronauts in space and their daily lives from what they wear and eat to the instruments and hardware that they used on their missions. The gallery will also share knowledge on the lunar landing and the special rover used as astronauts made their explorations on the Moon.

Innovation Innovation is always at the heart of space exploration – new ideas and ground breaking technologies which contributed to making the impossible, possible. Visitors will be introduced to the innovations that took Americans to the orbit and the Moon.

Highlights of this gallery include full-sized high-fidelity replicas of the Mercury capsule, the first American manned spacecraft; Gemini capsule, versatile spacecraft designed to practise the Moon missions; Apollo Command Module that carried the first humans to the Moon and back as well as the Space Shuttle that carried out numerous complex missions in orbit.

Journey To Mars 2030 VR Experience @ GTC 2016

April 6, 2016—Bringing to life the first steps of visiting our neighbouring planet, Mars 2030, an interactive virtual reality experience, debuted today at the GPU Technology Conference. Created by NVIDIA and FUSION Media, Mars 2030 transports people in VR to the Red Planet, where they are immersed in the simulated life of one of the first arriving NASA astronauts. They can explore deep space, live in a realistic Martian habitat, drive across the planet’s surface and drill into the surface of its ancient lake beds.

Speaking at the GTC opening keynote, NVIDIA CEO and co-founder Jen-Hsun Huang introduced the experience to personal computing pioneer Steve “Woz” Wozniak over a video link powered by Cisco TelePresence. Wearing a VR headset, Woz, an advocate of Mars travel, said, “Oh my gosh, this is going to be incredible for whoever actually gets to travel to Mars!”

Mars 2030 was developed using scientifically accurate satellite imagery and data gathered in years of exploration missions. It boasts a level of graphics fidelity that is only possible with NVIDIA VRWorks technologies.

“One in a billion people alive today will get to visit Mars, so this is for the rest of us,” said Zvi Greenstein, general manager of the GeForce business unit at NVIDIA. “Mars 2030 is being created as a true to life experience, while aiming for the highest visual fidelity possible in VR today, something only NVIDIA technology can deliver.”

NASA is providing technical expertise to FUSION through a Space Act Agreement to make the first Mars surface VR experience based on actual operational and hardware concepts that the Journey to the Red Planet: ‘Mars 2030’ VR Experience Debuts at GTC agency is currently studying. Mars 2030 incorporates VRWorks’ Multi-Res Shading, which renders each part of an image to best suit the pixel density required by a headset. It also includes VR SLI, which can assign multiple GPUs to a specific eye to accelerate stereo rendering.

“As a part of FUSION’s commitment to innovative storytelling, we are always looking for unique ways to take our audience to interesting places,” said Julian Reyes, lead VR producer at FUSION. “We are thrilled that NVIDIA’s latest technologies, combined with what NASA has planned for the next frontier of space exploration, will allow us to push visual boundaries, convincing users that they are 141 million miles away from home on the surface of Mars.” GTC attendees can experience the first mission in Mars 2030, an exploration of an enormous Martian lava tube, from April 4-7 in the San Jose Convention Center.

Expected to be commercially available in the fall, Mars 2030 is optimised for NVIDIA GeForce and Quadro GPUs to give the environment an unparalleled level of authenticity.
