Acer just announced Enduro – their new range of rugged MIL-810G computing devices! Check them out!

 

Acer Enduro N3 Rugged Laptop

With MIL-STD-810G and IP53 certifications, the Acer Enduro N3 is a 14-inch rugged laptop that is just under 25 mm thick, and weighs less than 2 kg.

It features Corning Gorilla Glass protection for the display, and reinforced corners for the chassis, and water-resistant Aquafan that repels water.

It also has drainage holes for the keyboard and seals for the I/O ports to protect the Acer Enduro N3 against exposure to water.

Built around the 10th Gen Intel Core i7 processor, it comes with 8 GB of onboard memory, 256 GB PCIe NVMe SSD storage, and Trusted Platform Module (TPM) 2.0 protection.

The Acer Enduro N3 has a rated battery life of 13 hours, which allows it to be a true off-site device.

It is available for pre-order in two variants :

  • Core i7, 8 GB + 256 GB : RM 5,699 (approximately US$1,403 / £1,056 / A$1,869 / S$1,881)
  • Core i5, 8 GB + 256 GB : RM 4,699 (approximately US$1,157 / £871 / A$1,541 / S$1,551)

 

Acer Enduro T1 Rugged Tablet

The Acer Enduro T1 is a rugged tablet with an optional portfolio keyboard, weighing less than 500 grams.

With MIL-STD-810G and IP54 certifications, the Enduro T1 can survive drops of 122 cm, and is resistant against dust and water.

Its display is designed to work with gloves, and is protected by a layer of reflection-free Corning Gorilla Glass.

Acer offers processor options of either an Intel Celeron, or a MediaTek MT8385; with 64 GB of eMMC storage, and a 10 hour battery life.

It is available for pre-order, with a starting price of RM 1,599 (approximately US$394 / £296 / A$524 / S$528)

Built around the new 11th Gen Intel Core processor, and Intel Iris Xe Graphics, they both with up to 16 GB of onboard LPDDR4X memory (upgradable to 20 GB), and 512 GB PCIe NVMe SSD storage.

Acer also offers an NVIDIA GeForce MX350 discrete graphics option for both models.

The new Lenovo ThinkPad P51s (lowest price on Amazon) is a 15.6″ mobile workstation that weighs about 2 kg. That incredible feat is due to its fiberglass-reinforced plastic construction, which is built to MIL-SPEC (military specifications) requirements.

This allows it to be used in extreme conditions, whether it’s exposure to sand, high temperature and humidity, or even high vibration and high altitudes. It is also shock-proof.

An interesting and useful feature is its Power Bridge Technology, which allows for hot-swappable rear batteries. This means you can swap batteries for virtually unlimited mobile computing on-the-go.
