Did AHA say 90% of vaccinated people now have heart defects?!

Did the American Heart Association say that 90% of vaccinated people now have irreversible heart defects?! Take a look at the viral claim, and find out what the facts really are!

Claim : AHA Said 90% Of Vaccinated People Now Have Heart Defects!

People are sharing an article (archive) by The People’s Voice (formerly NewsPunch), which claimed that the American Heart Association said that 90% of vaccinated people now have irreversible heart defects!

Here is an excerpt of the long and (intentionally?) confusing article. Feel free to skip to the next section for the facts!

American Heart Association: 90% of Vaxxed Population Now Have Deadly Heart Defects

The American Heart Association (AMA) has warned that 90 percent of the vaccinated population now suffers from an irreversible heart condition caused by the COVID-19 vaccines.

Recommended : Is the new CKM syndrome caused by vaccine spike protein?!

Truth : AHA Did Not Say 90% Of Vaccinated People Now Have Heart Defects!

This is yet another example of fake news created / promoted by The People’s Voice, and here are the reasons why…

Fact #1 : CKM Syndrome Is New Term For Existing Pathophysiology

Let me start by pointing out that CKM syndrome is a new term coined in October 2023 by the American Heart Association (AHA) for an existing pathophysiology.

CKM (cardiovascular-kidney-metabolic) syndrome, which is also known as cardiometabolic renal syndrome (CMR), describes the interconnections of chronic kidney disease, Type 2 diabetes, and cardiovascular disease.

As this letter in the Journal of Medicine, Surgery, and Public Health explains, CKM syndrome is a common pathophysiology, rather than a disease. The AHA synopsis also calls it [an existing] pathophysiology.

In other words – it’s a new term for an existing human condition that has existed probably since humans have been around, and has nothing to do with COVID-19, or the vaccines.

Fact #2 : AHA Never Said 90% Vaccinated Are Suffering From CKM Syndrome

The People’s Voice article claimed that the American Heart Association warned that 90% of the vaccinated population now suffers from CKM syndrome. That’s not true.

It was a JAMA study which found that nearly 90% of people had at least stage one of CKM syndrome, while about 15% had advanced CKM syndrome.

Fact #3 : JAMA Study Was From 2011-2020

In addition, the JAMA study was conducted based on data of 10,000 adults between 2011 and 2020, which was before mass vaccinations with COVID-19 vaccines occurred in 2021.

In other words – the CKM syndrome study had nothing to do with COVID-19 vaccines. So why would anyone claim or suggest a connection between CKM syndrome and COVID-19 vaccines??? Who would be so evil as to mislead people???

Recommended : Was Robert Fico shot for rejecting WHO Pandemic Treaty?!

Fact #4 : COVID-19 Vaccines Do Not Cause CKM Syndrome

As mentioned earlier, CKM syndrome describes an existing interconnection of three existing human diseases.

It is therefore not surprising that the American Heart Association did not once claim or suggest that COVID-19 vaccines cause CKM syndrome. After all, it has existed (albeit unnamed) long before COVID-19 vaccines were invented!

In fact, the AMA specifically pointed out that CKM syndrome is caused by existing risk factors:

CKM syndrome most commonly originates from excess or dysfunctional adipose tissue or both.

Dysfunctional adipose tissue, particularly visceral adipose tissue, secretes proinflammatory and prooxidative products that damage arterial, cardiac, and kidney tissues.

There is nothing in the AHA synopsis to even suggest CKM syndrome has nothing to do with COVID-19 vaccines. In fact, the words “vaccine” and “vaccination” were not mentioned even once in the entire synopsis.

Unsurprisingly, The People’s Voice did not provide any evidence to back up its suggestion that CKM syndrome was caused by the spike proteins created by COVID-19 vaccines!

Fact #5 : CKM Syndrome Is Reversible

The People’s Voice article also claimed or suggested that CKM syndrome is an irreversible heart condition. Not only is CKM not a heart condition, but three different conditions, it is reversible.

In fact, the American Heart Association advisory is meant to alert people to this condition, and to inform them that treatments and lifestyle modifications can not only stop CKM syndrome from further progressing, they can reverse it as well!

Unsurprisingly, The People’s Voice did not provide any evidence to back up its claim that CKM syndrome is irreversible!

Fact #6 : The People’s Voice Is Known For Fake News

The People’s Voice is the current name for NewsPunch, which possibly changed its name because its brand has been so thoroughly discredited after posting numerous shocking but fake stories.

Founded as Your News Wire in 2014, it was rebranded as NewsPunch in November 2018, before becoming The People’s Voice. A 2017 BuzzFeed report identified NewsPunch as the second-largest source of popular fake news on Facebook that year.

Its articles have been regularly debunked as fake news, so you should never share anything from NewsPunch / The People’s Voice.  Here are some of its fake stories that I fact checked earlier:

Is the new CKM syndrome caused by the COVID-19 vaccine spike protein?! Take a look at the viral claim, and find out what the facts really are!

Claim : CKM Syndrome Is Caused By Vaccine Spike Protein!

Here is an excerpt from the long and (intentionally?) confusing article. Feel free to skip to the next section for the facts!

Truth : CKM Syndrome Is Not Caused By Vaccine Spike Protein!

This is yet another example of anti-vaccine fake news created or promoted by Natural News, and here are the reasons why…

Fact #1 : CKM Syndrome Is New Term For Existing Pathophysiology

Let me start by pointing out that CKM syndrome is a new term coined in October 2023 by the American Heart Association for an existing pathophysiology.

CKM (cardiovascular-kidney-metabolic) syndrome, which is also known as cardiometabolic renal syndrome (CMR), describes the interconnections of chronic kidney disease, Type 2 diabetes, and cardiovascular disease.

Fact #2 : AMA Never Said Vaccine Spike Protein Causes CKM Syndrome

As mentioned earlier, CKM syndrome describes an existing interconnection of three existing human diseases.

It is therefore not surprising that the American Heart Association did not once claim or suggest that COVID-19 vaccines cause CKM syndrome. After all, it has existed (albeit unnamed) long before COVID-19 vaccines were invented!

Unsurprisingly, Natural News did not provide any evidence to back up its suggestion that CKM syndrome was caused by the spike proteins created by COVID-19 vaccines!

Fact #3 : CKM Syndrome Study Was From 2011-2020

In addition, I should point out that the JAMA study which found that nearly 90% of people had at least stage one of CKM syndrome, was conducted based on data of 10,000 adults between 2011 and 2020, which was before mass vaccinations with COVID-19 vaccines occurred in 2021.

In other words – the CKM syndrome study had nothing to do with COVID-19 vaccines. So why would anyone claim or suggest a connection between CKM syndrome and COVID-19 vaccines??? Who would be so evil as to mislead people???

Fact #4 : CKM Syndrome Has Nothing To Do With Vaccines

The official AHA definition of CKM health stages also clearly show that CKM syndrome has nothing to do with vaccines of any kind:

Stage 0 : No CKM health risk factors

Individuals without overweight/obesity, metabolic risk factors (hypertension, hypertriglyceridemia, MetS, diabetes), CKD, or subclinical/clinical CVD

Stage 1: Excess and/or dysfunctional adiposity

Individuals with overweight/obesity, abdominal obesity, or dysfunctional adipose tissue, without the presence of other metabolic risk factors or CKD
– BMI ≥25 kg/m2 (or ≥23 kg/m2 if Asian ancestry)
– Waist circumference ≥88/102 cm in women/men (or if Asian ancestry, ≥80/90 cm in women/men) and/or
– Fasting blood glucose ≥100–124 mg/dL or HbA1c between 5.7% and 6.4%*

The following conceptual diagram for pathophysiology underlying cardiovascular-kidney-metabolic (CKM) syndrome also shows that COVID-19 vaccines have no involvement at all!

So why would anyone ever claim or suggest that spike proteins from the COVID-19 vaccines cause CKM syndrome???

Recommended : Do mRNA Vaccines Create Dangerous, Contagious Prions?!

Fact #5 : COVID-19 Infections Produce Far More Spike Proteins!

I should also point out that COVID-19 vaccines do not multiply, and can only induce a limited number of cells to produce the spike protein.

The SARS-CoV-2 virus, on the other hand, is peppered with spike proteins and creates new viruses with spike proteins with every cell it infects. On top of that, the SARS-CoV-2 virus can spread through the body, delivering spike proteins wherever it goes.

If the spike proteins are the problem, as the Natural News article suggests, then a COVID-19 infection poses a far greater threat than the COVID-19 vaccine!

Fact #6 : Natural News Is Known For Fake News

Natural News is a far-right, anti-vaccination conspiracy theory and fake news website that is known for publishing / promoting pseudoscience, disinformation, and far-right extremism.

Writing in the journal Vaccine, Anna Kata identified Natural News as one of numerous websites spreading “irresponsible health information”. According to John Banks, Natural News founder Mike Adams uses “pseudoscience to sell his lies” and is “seen as generally a quack and a shill by science bloggers.”

Dr. David Gorski called Natural News “one of the most wretched hives of scum and quackery on the Internet,” and the most “blatant purveyor of the worst kind of quackery and paranoid anti-physician and anti-medicine conspiracy theories anywhere on the Internet”.

Its articles have been regularly debunked as fake news, so you should never share anything from Natural News.  Here are some of its fake stories that I fact checked earlier:

Did Lilly Kimbell Die Suddenly From Vaccine SADS?!

Did former University of Georgia tennis star Lilly Kimbell die suddenly from the COVID-19 vaccine SADS?!

Take a look at the viral claims, and find out what the facts really are!

Claim : Lilly Kimbell Died From COVID-19 Vaccine SADS!

Right after news broke that Lilly Kimbell died suddenly, people immediately claimed that the 31 year-old former Georgia Bulldogs tennis star died from COVID-19 vaccine SADS!

Vince Clements : DIED SUDDENLY/CARDIAC ARREST: Lilly Kimbell, 31, Former Georgia Bulldogs Tennis Player.
THE DAY OF RECKONING IS COMING!

Jazziette Devereaux : Another one. Cardiac. 😢Is this from the vaccines? So many young athletes dying suddenly. #DiedSuddendly

Dr. Alejandro Diaz : Too many young people are dying suddenly around the globe. Lilly Kimbell a former Georgia Bulldogs tennis player, died suddenly and unexpectedly Sunday from a heart attack at age 31. Something is extremely wrong RIP 🙏🏼 #awake #DiedSuddendly

Truth : Lilly Kimbell Did Not Die From Vaccine SADS!

It’s now tradition for anti-vaccination activists to immediately blame all athlete deaths or illnesses on the COVID-19 vaccine.

This is yet another example of FAKE NEWS created and propagated by anti-vaccination activists, and here are the reasons why…

Fact #1 : Lilly Kimbell Was Former Georgia Bulldogs Tennis Star

A native of New Braunfels, Texas, Lilly Kimbell became a member of the University of Georgia 2011-2014 tennis squad. During her time with the University of Georgia Bulldogs, Kimbell registered 197 combined wins – 109 doubles, and 88 singles. She also holds the record for the most consecutive doubles wins in a season.

Lilly Kimbell earned her bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Science in 2014, followed by a masters in Sport Management in 2016. Since then, she has served as an assistant tennis coach at Eastern Illinois, as well as St. Mary’s in San Antonio. She also worked for the Addision Group, Supreme Lending and Paycom in the Dallas area.

On Tuesday, February 7, 2023, the Georgia Bulldogs team announced that she passed away two days ago – on Sunday, February 5.

Fact #2 : Lilly Kimbell Died From A Heart Attack

Claims that Lilly Kimbell died from a cardiac arrest are unfounded.

According to several family members, Lilly Kimbell had existing health issues that began with “a kidney issue“, and she suffered a massive heart attack from her existing health issues.

Her father, Tim, as well as paramedics who arrived, performed CPR on her, but by the time she was taken to the hospital, it was determined that her brain was too damaged from a lack of oxygen, and she was eventually taken off life support.

Her cousin, Angie Cozzetto, posted this on February 6, 2023:

Please pray for my sweet cousin, Lilly Fern. She was taken off life support today. Our whole family could use your prayers as we are devastated for this huge and unexpected loss 😢💔

From my Aunt Judy—

It is my horrible duty to let everyone know that our daughter, Lilly Kimbell has passed away. She had some health issues that started with a kidney issue and ended up with a massive heart attack resulting from those issues. Tim tried to do CPR, as did the ambulance people. By the time they got to the hospital she had been without oxygen for too long. Her brain was too damaged and we let her go today.

I will not be able to answer any personal messages because we are too traumatized. I just wanted everyone to know. She loved all of her friends, as do I. She is an organ donor for multiple recipients, and so someone will be now seeing with her eyesight. It’s really a shame they couldn’t capture her doubles ability. Love you all.

Her sister, Samantha Gillas posted this on February 7, 2023:

Yesterday heaven gained another angel. My sister Lilly passed away. She had some kidney issue we don’t know how it happened but ended up with a massive heart attack. Her brain was without oxygen for too long and we had to let her go yesterday. I really don’t know what to say. I am lost for words and in complete shock, but at the same time I have so much I could say. It all seems so surreal and I’m just waiting to wake up from this bad dream and I’ll see you coming downstairs.

Fact #3 : Heart Disease Is Common With Kidney Disease

It is unknown what kidney disease Lilly Kimbell suffered from, but her family has said that she had existing kidney disease, which would suggest a chronic kidney disease.

People with kidney disease are more likely to get heart disease… and die from it. In fact, heart disease is the most common cause of death for people with kidney disease!

Fact #4 : University Of Georgia Never Had A Vaccine Mandate

Some of those who blame the COVID-19 vaccine mandate for Lilly Kimbell’s death are ignoring two critical points:

  1. Lilly Kimbell left the University of Georgia by 2014, or 2016 at the latest.
  2. The University of Georgia (UGA) does not have a COVID-19 vaccine mandate.

The University System of Georgia and the University of Georgia strongly encourage you to get vaccinated. Pursuant to state and University System of Georgia (USG) rules, we cannot ask our students for proof of their vaccination status, and we should not treat vaccinated and un-vaccinated individuals differently unless dictated by law or applicable guidance.

Even if Lilly Kimbell was still a student or a faculty member, she would not have been required to get the COVID-19 vaccine. But the truth is – she left UGA years ago, and had been living in Dallas, Texas.

Fact #5 : Unknown If Lilly Kimbell Was Vaccinated Against COVID-19

It is currently unknown if Lilly Kimbell was ever vaccinated against COVID-19, so it would be wrong for anyone to claim that she died from COVID-19 vaccine side effects.

For all we know – she may not even be vaccinated! The COVID-19 vaccine is not mandatory in the United States, despite what anti-vaccination activists may claim.

In fact, many people who were injured or died suddenly were actually unvaccinated, like Kris Jordan, Aaron Carter, Kirstie Alley, Stephan Bonnar, Shane Macaulay, David Wayne Burleson, and Kaden Clymer.

Unless her family reveals her vaccination status, anyone who tells you that Lilly Kimbell was fully-vaccinated and died from the vaccine is likely lying to you.

Fact #6 : COVID-19 Vaccine Injury Claims Often Proven False

Claims of athlete deaths / injuries due to the COVID-19 vaccine are often proven false. Here is the latest dozen cases I fact checked recently.

Will these anti-vaccination activists apologise for lying to you? Nope! They will just move on to the next athlete tragedy…
