HUAWEI just launched the P40 smartphone, featuring a 50MP Leica triple camera system!

HUAWEI P40 : A Quick Primer
The HUAWEI P40 is the little brother of the new P40 family of smartphones. It has a 6.1-inch OLED display, with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels.
It comes in 4G and 5G variants, powered by the Kirin 990 and Kirin 990 5G respectively. HUAWEI will offer it with either 6 GB or 8 GB of memory, and either 128 GB or 256 GB of storage.
In front, it has a 32 MP camera, with an IR camera. But its marquee feature is its rear Leica triple-camera system, which consists of :
- a 50 MP main camera with f/1.9 aperture,
- a 16 MP ultra-wide camera with f/2.2 aperture, and
- an 8 MP telephoto camera with f/2.4 aperture (OIS support)
Powering all that is a large 3,800 mAh battery, which supports 22.5 watt HUAWEI SuperCharge wired charging.

HUAWEI P40 : Price + Availability
The HUAWEI P40 is available in selected markets, with a recommended retail price of €799 for the 8GB+128GB variant.
HUAWEI will offer five colour options – Black, Deep Sea Blue, Ice White, Silver Frost and Blush Gold.
