The HUAWEI TalkBand B5 is a unique 2-in-1 smartwatch that is available in only a few countries worldwide. In fact, Malaysia is the first country outside of China where HUAWEI is officially selling the TalkBand B5.
We recently had the opportunity to check out the TalkBand B5 in person. Here is our preview and first impressions of the HUAWEI TalkBand B5!
HUAWEI TalkBand B5 Variants
The HUAWEI TalkBand B5 is not just a one-off smartwatch. HUAWEI create no less than three variants – Sports, Business and Fashion..
The Sports version has a silicone wrist band, and is the cheapest model at 999 Yuan / RM 599 / ~US$ 145. The Business version has a metal wrist band, and is priced at 1,199 Yuan / ~US$ 174. The Fashion version, with an Italian leather strap, is priced at 1,499 Yuan / RM 699 / ~US$ 218.

2-in-1 Wearable Device
The HUAWEI TalKBand B5 is a smartwatch which works as a fitness tracker too. But with a simple press of two buttons, it detaches to become a Bluetooth headset!
Bluetooth Headset
When used as a Bluetooth headset, the TalkBand B5 can make calls, with HD audio clarity. It supports caller ID support, as well as mute and speed-dial functions. It has a triple-core audio chip, backed by dual-microphone noise cancellation capability.
Huawei TruSleep
The TruSleep tracking technology, which was validated by the CDB Centre at the Harvard Medical School, monitors the different stages of your sleep pattern – wakefulness, REM stage, light sleep, and deep sleep.
Huawei TruSeen 2.0
The HUAWEI TalkBand B5 supports their TruSeen Technology, which monitors the user’s heart rate 24/7. You can use it to track and monitor up to 6 exercise models – running, treadmill running, walking , cycling, indoor cycling and freestyle training.
