Fact Check : Heavy Gadget Use Killing Kids With Radiation?

A WhatsApp message about heavy gadget use KILLING kids with radiation has gone viral.

Find out what’s going on, and what the FACTS really are! 🤔

Claim : Heavy Gadget Use Is Killing Kids With Radiation!

This is the WhatsApp message that has gone viral, and is being furiously shared by alarmed parents.

🙏✍️
A very IMPORTANT & SERIOUS message.
Please kindly read till the end with out skipping.

Most of your kids will be attending online classes and addicted to gadgets, please be very careful. I am writing about the current happening.
My very close, best friend’s younger sister son is studying
12th standard a very bright student from his childhood, and only son to my friend’s sister.

His online classes starts daily at 10am so laptop is on by 9am. Due to peer school pressure with the online classes going on, he used to either be on laptop or mobile atleast till 10pm daily, No physical activity at all, no one to play due to COVID-19 fear and being single child,in their family.

On Tuesday 27/10/2020, morning, he was saying he was not feeling well, 2 days prior to that he had mild pain on his left hand. No one took that seriously. On Tuesday, he was saying he doesn’t want to attend on line classes and wanted to be with parents’. Parents were surprised and asked him to take rest. He tried to sleep but was not able to, he asked his father not to go to office. His father asked if we should go to hospital, child said everywhere there is corona which hospital to go, I will be alright after a good sleep. He asked his father to go to work. He said he was very hungry and asked his mother to feed him dosa. He again tried to sleep but could not, then around afternoon, he called his father to come home immediately and take him to hospital. His father came home within 15 min and the son came and hugged him and said take me to hospital.

By the time he started the car, child collapsed. They rushed to a hospital 4 km away and doctor checked for pulse it was not there. They tried CPR and the heart started to function. They took all scans and found the child was brain dead. They tried all medication till Saturday31/10/2020 morning ,and finally decided to remove the ventilator.

He is now no more.
‼️A case of BRAIN DEAD‼️
Pathetic thing is that hospital has handed over the body to police since the child was unconscious when brought to hospital and in his teens. They will hand over the body only after postmortem and corona test. So not sure if they would get it today 31/10/2020, or tomorrow,01/11/2020.

Doctor said this is 05th such case during
The past 20days, Heavy usage of gadgets, radiation has affected the brain and stopped the supply of oxygen.

Use GADGETS sparingly, Avoid earphone/headset to the maximum extent possible.
🙏 Humble request to all parents, guardians, please take care of your kids, teenage boys, girls,Ask them to read only hard copy books and no gadgets except for attending classes
I felt this is very useful important message, so Iam forwarding to all my what’s app contacts, relations, well wishers, all near and dear.
🙏A very humble request to all, kindly forward this message to all your
Contacts and there by save Precious “LIFE”

Heavy Gadget Use Killing Kids With Radiation : The FACTS!

NO, heavy gadget use is NOT, repeat… NOT killing kids with radiation!

Here are the reasons why this is yet another fake story being circulated on the Internet to spread FUD (Fear, Uncertainty & Doubt).

Reason #1 : No Evidence The Case Even Exists

The story appears to originate in India, and is quite specific that the student died on 31 October 2020.

However, we could not find any reference to any Standard 12 student in India, being taken off the ventilator after being pronounced brain dead in October 2020.

While that does not mean that the case does not exist (India is a HUGE country), there is currently no evidence that this case actually exists.

Photo Credit : Idrees Abbas / SOPA Images / Sipa USA

Reason #2 : No Evidence Gadget Radiation Is Killing Kids

The claim that the doctor said that it was the 5th case during the past 20 cases is preposterous.

If that was true, it would have been major news, and would have been discussed in hospital mortality and morbidity conferences, and certainly covered by the mainstream media.

Yet, there is no mention of gadget radiation killing kids anywhere in the world.

Reason #3 : Radiation Cannot Stop Supply Of Oxygen

When brain death occurs as a result of ischaemia – the lack of oxygen supply to the brain, that is often due to :

  • bleeding in the brain from an AVM, or insult to the brain
  • blood clots blocking blood vessels in the brain
  • cardiac failure reducing blood flow to the brain

While high doses of radiation can cause brain damage, radiation per se cannot stop the supply of oxygen to the brain.

As the student was said to have no pulse on admission to the hospital, his brain death was likely due to a complete lack of blood supply to the brain after heart stopped beating.

Reason #4 : Electronics Have Low Radiation

All electrical devices produce small amounts of electromagnetic radiation. That means everything from your microwave oven to your television, not just laptops and mobile devices.

They all have to comply with the laws regarding electromagnetic radiation. Not because it’s dangerous to us, but because it would interfere with other electronics in your house.

Reason #5 : Electronics Have To Comply With SAR Limits

The US FCC limit for RF radiation from a mobile phone is 1.6 watts per kilogram, while the EU sets a higher limit of 2.0 watts per kilogram. Practically all smartphones have much lower SAR values (head) :

With smartphones emitting significantly lower RF radiation, it is unlikely for them to have any effect, much less kill kids or turn their brains into mush.

Reason #6 : RF Radiation Is Non-Ionising

The type of radiation emitted by electrical devices is radio frequency (RF) radiation, which is a type of non-ionising radiation.

Non-ionising radiation do not have enough energy to knock electrons from an atom, which means it cannot create free radicals that can damage our cells.

In fact, RF radiation has lower energy than visible light and infrared (heat) radiation!

So it would be quite impossible for RF radiation to kill anyone by destroying their brains.

Reason #7 : Earphones + Headphones Reduce Exposure

Earphones and headphones actually reduce your exposure to RF radiation from your smartphone.

That’s because they allow you to listen to calls and music, without putting the smartphone close to your head.

Those who are paranoid about exposing their brains to RF radiation from their smartphones should use earphones or headphones.

HUAWEI Mate 30 Pro 5G : Why You Should Buy It NOW!

When HUAWEI announced the Mate 30 Pro 5G, people asked – why do we need to buy one when there is limited or no 5G coverage?

Find out who should purchase the Mate 30 Pro 5G, and why you should purchase it NOW.

HUAWEI Mate 30 Pro 5G : Who Should Buy One?

First thing we should get across is that not everyone needs a 5G smartphone right now. So who should purchase one, and why right now?

Let’s start with some reasons why the Mate 30 Pro 5G may be the right choice for you :

Reason #1 : Your Ticket To 5G Connectivity Worldwide

If you travel a lot, a 5G smartphone like the HUAWEI Mate 30 Pro 5G will allow you to enjoy the best of both established 4G networks and new 5G networks globally.

So far, 47 countries have already commercialised 5G networks, so the Mate30 Pro 5G will let you enjoy the best possible connectivity, whether it’s 5G or 4G.

Reason #2 : Best Possible 5G Connectivity

HUAWEI is the only end-to-end 5G network supplier, delivering everything from the core network to terminal equipment. This is why the 5G networks in most countries are built by HUAWEI, including China, UK, Germany, Italy and Dubai.

Needless to say, they tested the HUAWEI Mate 30 Pro 5G extensively against their 5G networks, guaranteeing that it will deliver the best possible 5G connectivity of any 5G smartphone.

Reason #3 : Integrated 5G Baseband + Faster AI Performance

The HUAWEI Mate 30 Pro 5G is built around the Kirin 990 5G platform, which is different in two aspects from the Kirin 990 platform used in the regular Mate30 Pro (4G) :

  • Integrated 5G baseband with support for SA / NSA modes
  • 3 NPUs (2 big + 1 small), instead of just 2 NPUs (1 big + 1 small)

This should give the 5G model a significant boost in AI performance, in addition to 5G network connectivity.

We should also note that by integrating the 5G baseband into the chip, it will use significantly less power than discrete (separate) 5G chips used in other 5G smartphones.

Reason #4 : All-Aspect Antenna Design

The HUAWEI Mate 30 Pro 5G uses an all-aspect antenna design. Out of its 21 antennas, 14 are 5G antennas, ensuring a stable 5G connection and eliminating the possibility of a “death grip”.

Thanks to close optimisation with their 5G network equipment, HUAWEI also reports that it not only delivers 50% faster 5G connectivity than competing 5G smartphones, it also consumes less power.

At a recent test in Langkawi, HUAWEI was able to demonstrate a download speed of 1.8 Gbps!

Reason #5 : First SIRIM-Certified 5G Smartphone

While other brands have tried to be the first to introduce 5G smartphones, the HUAWEI Mate 30 Pro 5G is the first SIRIM-certified 5G smartphone.

Not only is it the first 5G smartphone certified for use in Malaysia, it is certified for use with 5G networks globally.

HUAWEI Mate 30 Pro 5G : Our Opinion

Many of us no longer change our smartphones every year, using them for 2.5 years or longer.

[adrotate group=”2″]

While the Mate 30 Pro (4G) is a great smartphone in its own right, the 5G model will keep you future-proofed.

With 5G networks here in Malaysia and around the world coming online this year, opting for the 5G model will mean you don’t have to upgrade your smartphone to enjoy 5G connectivity.

More importantly, it is just slightly more expensive than the 4G model at RM 4,199 (roughly US$1,019 / £776 / A$1,523 / S$1,399).

So the decision for us is really a no-brainer – if you are planning to purchase the HUAWEI Mate30 Pro, it’s really a smarter choice to opt for the 5G model.

HUAWEI Mate 30 Pro 5G : Why Buy It Now?

Now, if you like the HUAWEI Mate 30 Pro 5G, you should take advantage of their pre-order / early bird offer.

HUAWEI Malaysia is offering this pre-order / early bird special – exclusive gifts worth RM 537 :

  • HUAWEI Wireless In-Car SuperCharge charger

On top of that, these online retailers are offering even sweeter deals for pre-orders / early bird purchases :

Warning : vivo NEX 3 5G is NOT Certified in Malaysia!

vivo Malaysia launched their vivo NEX 3 5G smartphone in 2019. However, it looks like it was not certified for use or sale in Malaysia!

Find out what happened, and what it means for anyone who owns or sells the vivo NEX 3 5G in Malaysia!

The vivo NEX 3 5G Smartphone

vivo launched their NEX 3 5G (V1924) smartphone on 17 October 2019, with an official retail price of RM 3,899 / S$1,283 / US$950 / £723 / A$1,383.

That was a hefty price tag, tying with the likes of the HUAWEI Mate30 Pro, so at launch, it came with a bunch of great freebies.

Unfortunately, in their rush to be the first out with a 5G smartphone, it looks like vivo Malaysia launched and sold the vivo NEX 3 5G without 5G certification from SIRIM.

The Spotlight On vivo NEX 3’s 5G Certification

Today, HUAWEI Malaysia announced that their HUAWEI Mate30 Pro was the first to be 5G-certified in Malaysia. They even shared their SIRIM certificate on Facebook :

Unfortunately, their announcement also cast a spotlight on vivo’s claim to be the first to introduce a 5G smartphone in Malaysia – the vivo NEX 3 5G.

vivo NEX 3 5G : NOT Certified For Use Or Sale In Malaysia

When we investigated, we found out that the vivo NEX 3 5G (vivo 1924) was not certified for sale or use in Malaysia.

With a little help from some friends, we found out that only the non-5G vivo NEX 3 (vivo 1912) is currently certified in Malaysia.

There was no listing for the vivo 1924vivo V1924 or vivo NEX 3 5G in the SIRIM database. There was also no vivo smartphone listed in the SIRIM database with 5G capabilities.

Since receiving the certification for their non-5G vivo NEX 3 (V1912), they only received certifications for three smartphones :

  • vivo Y19 (vivo 1915)
  • vivo S1 Pro (vivo 1920)
  • vivo V17 (vivo 1919)

The only 5G-certified smartphone we could find was the HUAWEI Mate 30 Pro 5G (LIO-N29) :

So The vivo NEX 3 5G Is Illegal?

This is the problem here – it is illegal to own or use or sell any device that is not SIRIM-certified in Malaysia.

According to the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia (Technical Standards) Regulation 2000, anyone who owns, uses or sells such a device would be liable to :

  • a fine not exceeding RM 100,000, or
  • imprisonment for a term not exceed 6 months,
  • or both a fine and imprisonment

Of course, we believe the vivo NEX 3 5G (V1924) smartphone will eventually receive its SIRIM certification, but until then, best not to boast about your vivo NEX 3 5G smartphone!

vivo has quietly removed all references to the vivo NEX 3 5G, and so should anyone owning one.

HUAWEI Mate 30 Pro Photo Showcase : Macau!

As soon as we got our hands on the HUAWEI Mate 30 Pro, we took it to Macau to grab some photo samples!

Check out the unedited photo samples we took, and see for yourselves why people are saying it has the best cameras they ever used!

HUAWEI Mate 30 Pro : A Quick Primer

The HUAWEI Mate 30 Pro (MY | SG | US) is the pinnacle of Chinese smartphone technology, boasting their latest Kirin 990 processor and arguably, the world’s most advanced quad-camera system from Leica!

Despite shipping without GMS, HUAWEI sold over 1 million units of the HUAWEI Mate30 Series smartphones in China… in just 3 hours!

A big reason why so many people loved the HUAWEI Mate 30 Pro (MY | SG | US) is its Leica SuperSensing Quad Camera System that consists of :

  • 40 MP Cine Camera (f/1.6 aperture)
  • 40 MP SuperSensing Wide-Angle Camera (f/1.8 aperture)
  • 8 MP Telephoto Camera with 3X optical zoom (f/2.4 aperture)
  • 3D Depth Sensing Camera

The HUAWEI Mate 30 Pro is particularly popular because of its 40 MP SuperSensing Cine Camera, which supports 4K 60fps video recording, with these groundbreaking features :

  • an ISO of up to 51200,
  • Cinematic Time-lapse capability,
  • real-time video bokeh effect, and
  • an ultra-slow motion mode that records at up to 7680 fps!

For those who want to buy the HUAWEI Mate30 Pro directly, here are some online purchase links :

Historic Old Macau!

This time, we focused on the streets of peninsular Macau. This is the old, heavily-populated part of Macau where most of the Portuguese-influenced sights like Senado Square is located.

As this part of Macau is heavily-urbanised with many old buildings, it has great character wherever you go – offering great opportunities for street photography.

As usual, we took these photo samples using the Auto mode with no manual adjustments – because this is precisely how the vast majority of smartphone users take their photos!

We want our photo samples to reflect EXACTLY what any HUAWEI Mate 30 Pro (MY | SG | US) user can achieve, if he/she took the same photos in the same spot, at the same time, as we did.

HUAWEI Mate 30 Pro Photo Showcase : Macau!

We started the day with noodles and congee at Rua dos Mercadores. Note how congested the city looks – the buildings here are at least seven stories tall.

We resized this photo to ensure it loads quickly, but the detail in the original photo is amazing – you can zoom Into the balcony of the residential units and check out what plants they have in their mini-garden, or what clothes they hung out to dry!

This view of Rua Central emphasises the congestion in this part of Macau that cramps about 600,000 residents in just 8.5 square kilometres.

This photo shows pretty good control of the highlights and shadows. The sun was really bright, beating down mercilessly on the residences on the left, while the rest were in shadows.

The highlights were slightly overblown, but it did a good job of preserving details in the shadows. You can clearly read the small signboards further down the road.

Just off Rua Central is this unique green-coloured Theatro Dom Pedro V. (伯多祿五世劇院) | Dom Pedro V Theatre.

Built to commemorate King Pedro V of Portugal, this neo-classical building now hosts orchestral performances, opera and musical festivals.

Again, the HUAWEI Mate 30 Pro (MY | SG | US) opts to let the highlights blow out a little, in exchange for preserving details in the shadows. You can clearly make out the man standing next to the pillar, as well as details of the theatre’s ornate windows and doors.

On arrival at the A-Ma Temple, we find it bustling with lion and dragon dance troupes preparing for the Macau International Parade!

It was a really bright day – you can see some glare from the bright sun in the upper right quadrant. Yet, you can zoom in and clearly see the faces of each person in this picture, even though they are in the shadows.

We stepped inside the A-Ma Temple for a short respite from the crowds outside. Built in 1488 to worship the Chinese sea goddess Mazu, it is the oldest temple in Macau!

This is yet another high-contrast shot. The HUAWEI Mate 30 Pro (MY | SG | US) did a decent job on the harshly-lit leaves, and kept the skies blue instead of completely white.

But more importantly – you can clearly see the craggy texture of the boulder, as well as the stone stairs, even though they are in the shadows.

HUAWEI Mate 30 Pro Photo Showcase : The Monte Fort!

Next, we headed off for the Monte Fort – the tallest point in Macau, and its historic military centre.

Instead of doubling back along the same route, we went down Rua da Barra for more scenic opportunities.

The 40 MP wide-angle camera is particularly useful in such shots, although it’s not quite as wide as the Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ (USUK | AU | SGMY).

The good news though is that your subjects in these wide-angle photos will not look distorted.

Even side roads offer great photographic opportunities, thanks to its combination of unique architecture, weathered look and old world cobble-stone pavements.

This high-contrast shot shows how well the HUAWEI Mate 30 Pro (MY | SG | US) controls both the brightly-lit leaves and cobblestones, yet ensuring we can clearly see the vines and moss on the old walls and the design of the louvred windows and doors.

The new world (tour vans) trying to navigate the narrow streets of old, historic Macau…

Yet another very high-contrast shot. While the harshly-lit buildings in the background lost some details, it still preserved enough that we can make out the building facade as well as the vans.

Yet you can clearly make out the crawling vines, and weathered walls of the green building on the left, as well as its window and door.

On the way, we spotted this unique structure – a doorway into the Patio do Cotovelo “inner” street with businesses lining both sides.

The detail is AMAZING! More so when you blow it up to 100% of its 40 MP resolution. You can see the brickwork in great detail, and zoom right to the shop at the end of the lane!

So here we are, at the Monte Fort (Fortaleza do Monte or 大炮台). Built between 1617 and 1626 on top of Mount Hill, it is the historic military centre of Macau.

In this almost uniformly-bright photo, the HUAWEI Mate 30 Pro (MY | SG | US) demonstrates its ability to capture incredible detail. Blowing up the picture allows us to see the individual leaves of the tree, as well as the details of the stone walls.

The fort covers an area of 8,000 square meters, with 32 of these muzzle-loading (state-of-the-art in those days!) cannons to protect Macau against pirates and eventually, the Dutch!

Again, this was an incredibly bright day, creating harsh shadows. Yet, you can’t tell that from this photo – the HUAWEI Mate 30 Pro (MY | SG | US) was able to control the highlights so that cannon, which is in direct sunlight, isn’t blown-out.

And yet, you can also see the colour of the flowers next to it, in the shadows. Also notable is the fact we can make out details of the distant building in the far background.

These days, it has become the favourite past-time of every tourist to use one of these cannons to “shoot” at the Grand Lisboa! LOL!

On this incredibly bright day, it’s noteworthy that we can zoom in and see details of the Grand Lisboa’s facade, which would be washed out in other cameras… and yes, you can make out the clouds in the bright blue sky!

This view offers the best perspective of Macau – the new and the old. The modern (and frankly, really odd-looking) Grand Lisboa in the distance, and the crumbling ruins of the old Monte Fort.

Again, the HUAWEI Mate 30 Pro (MY | SG | US) impressed us with its ability to preserve details in very bright conditions, even though the Grand Lisboa is miles away!

On the way back from the Monte Fort, we stumbled upon this unique home that is built over a street. I don’t even know what such a feature is called… a bridge house???

In any case, this is a great photo to zoom in, and be amazed at the amount of detail captured in a single photo.

You can examine in detail, the intricate brickwork of the overhead house. You can even zoom past the tunnel, into the shops in the distance!

As you can tell – Macau offers a lot of unique photographic opportunities, even in places you would least expect them – off the beaten path!

And the HUAWEI Mate 30 Pro (MY | SG | US) has the cameras that will let you capture incredible detail in every photo. Best of all – its Auto mode works incredibly well, letting you take awesome photos without any special skill or setup!

1 Million Mate30 Phones Sold In 3 Hours In China! How About Malaysia?

HUAWEI sold an amazing 1 million units of the HUAWEI Mate30 Series smartphones in just 3 hours in China!

But what about Malaysia, where HUAWEI just kicked off public sale of the HUAWEI Mate30 Series smartphones?

HUAWEI Mate30 Phone Sales In Malaysia

The HUAWEI Mate30 smartphones were just released for public sale a week ago, after an exclusive referral sales program.

Even so, HUAWEI Malaysia says that 70% of their Mate30 Series vouchers have already been redeemed from the HUAWEI Member Centre!

What exactly is driving the sale of the HUAWEI Mate30 smartphones here in Malaysia? Let’s find out…

Why The HUAWEI Mate30 Is Popular In Malaysia

Here are some reasons why we believe HUAWEI Mate30 has so far struck a clear note with Malaysians.

No GMS? No Problem!

First, let’s get the elephant out of the room – the worry about HUAWEI Mobile Services, instead of Google Mobile Services.

Malaysians are generally quite tech-savvy and have quickly embraced solutions to the problem, as this video demonstrates :

Recommended : HUAWEI Phone Clone : Foolproof Way To Bypass Trump Ban?

Greatly Expanded HUAWEI AppGallery

Thanks to massive investment in the HUAWEI AppGallery, it has seen a massive expansion in the number of apps. More importantly – many key apps were launched within a month!

Over a period of just two months – from September to October 2019 – there were 200,000 new users of HUAWEI App Gallery, with 100 million apps downloaded in Malaysia alone!

On a daily basis, HUAWEI reported over 1.5 million downloads, and that 27 popular or critical apps were added in a single month.

SuperSensing Cine Camera

Malaysians LOVE to take photos and videos with their smartphones, and they are very particular about image quality and camera features.

The HUAWEI Mate 30 Pro is particularly popular because of its 40 MP SuperSensing Cine Camera, which supports 4K 60fps video recording, with these groundbreaking features :

  • an ISO of up to 51200,
  • Cinematic Time-lapse capability,
  • real-time video bokeh effect, and
  • an ultra-slow motion mode that records at up to 7680 fps!

Recommended : How HUAWEI Mate 30 Pro Captures 7680 FPS Video!

Interactive AI Gesture Control

This is a really cool feature that seems to have impressed many Malaysians.

Its 3D Depth Sensing Camera and a Gesture Sensor are used to identify your face and detect your gestures, which are then used by its Tiny-Core NPU to interpret your gestures.

By simply looking at the screen, and swiping your hands, you can “command” the Mate 30 Series smartphone to perform many commands like unlocking the screen, change pages, and take screenshots.

AI Private View + AI Auto Rotate

The HUAWEI Mate 30 Series smartphones offer an AI Private View mode, which hides your private messages if it cannot recognised the face of the person viewing them!

They also have an AI Auto-Rotate capability, that uses the front 3D camera to analyse your eye orientation to automatically determine if they should lock the rotation of the display.

Multi-Screen Collaboration

The HUAWEI Multi-Screen Collaboration feature is incredibly powerful and useful.

Enabling it lets you easily drag-and-drop files between your Mate 30 Series smartphone and laptop. It even lets you use your laptop’s keyboard to type messages directly on your phone!

Long Battery Life!

Malaysians are prodigious smartphone users, which is why we always have a power bank handy!

The HUAWEI Mate 30 Series smartphones though, comes with a large 4200 mAh (Mate30) or 4500 mAh (Mate30 Pro) battery, which means they last a full day and then some!

And when it’s time to recharge them, it appears Malaysians love its super-fast 40W wired charging and world-leading 27W wireless charging capabilities!

It looks like more Malaysians will soon become HUAWEI Mate30 owners, thanks to a bevy of new offers from Malaysia’s top telcos. Let’s check out the new HUAWEI Mate 30 Series telco deals for Malaysia!

5 Ways How HUAWEI Smart Life Devices Boost Productivity!

HUAWEI Smart Life devices are more than just convenient, they can actually give you a big productivity boost at work!

Find out how to use these HUAWEI Smart Life devices to greatly improve your productivity at work!

5 Ways How HUAWEI Smart Life Devices Boost Productivity!

HUAWEI created the Smart Life ecosystem to deliver the life of future, both at home and at work.

Here are five ways to leverage HUAWEI Smart Life devices to greatly improve your productivity!

Tip #1 : Eliminate All Dead Zones!

Digital natives are no longer chained to their desks, and the modern office offers a variety of working and collaboration spaces for people to work more effectively.

The HUAWEI WiFi Q2 Pro is designed to offer fast, reliable WiFi connectivity indoors and outdoors, even for the largest workspace! Just add satellite units whenever you need greater reach, without messy cables or setting up!

Thanks to its seamless roaming capability and automatic channel optimisations – it will intelligently switch WiFi channels and hotspots to ensure you get the best possible connectivity, even as you move about!

All you have to do is focus on your work. No matter where you go, the Q2 Pro will ensure you have the best possible connectivity!

Tip #2 : Easy Transfers For Quick Work!

Smartphones are great because they are always connected to the Internet, but they are not always the best platform to do serious work.

That’s where the HUAWEI Multi-Screen Collaboration feature comes in – it lets you get work done on both the Matebook 13 laptop and the Mate 30 or Mate 30 Pro smartphone simultaneously!

And with One Tap to Share technology, you can easily transfer files between your smartphone and the laptop with a simple drag-and-drop motion! Now that is truly how things should work in the life of the future!

Tip #3 : Tune Out The Noise!

One of the biggest problems people face at work is noise. Whether it’s from your colleagues’ keyboards, or their chit-chats, noise can really be distracting and even stressful.

But thanks to the HUAWEI Freebuds 3, you can literally tune out the noise with its Active Noise Cancellation technology. And if you need to call someone in a noisy environment, its Bone Sensor picks up your voice for clear conversations!

Tip #4 : Stay Healthy!

It is important to stay healthy, to maximise your productivity. That’s why the HUAWEI WATCH GT 2 will remind you to stand up and move around, so you don’t sit down for hours on end.

It even monitors your stress levels and blood pressure, and suggest breathing exercises to calm you down and lower your stress levels!

Because it has a 14-day battery life, you should wear it to sleep, so it can help to monitor your sleep patterns, and ensure you stay healthy 24/7.

It is also important to take good care of your eyes. The HUAWEI Matebook 13 comes with an Eye Comfort Mode that is designed to protect your retina and avoid eyestrain. This lets you work in optimal comfort for as long as you like!

Tip #5 : Keep Your Hands Free!

One way to greatly improve productivity is to leverage the advanced capabilities of HUAWEI Smart Life devices to keep both of your hands free!

The HUAWEI WATCH GT 2 and the HUAWEI x Gentle Monster Eyewear let you make and receive calls, letting you continue working even as you talk.

In addition to letting you make and receive calls, the HUAWEI Freebuds 3 can recognise your speech, and activate the Smart Assistant app for hands-free capabilities.

Experience Life of the Future with HUAWEI Smart Life Devices!

Life like a box of chocolates – you never know what you are going to get!

Your flight may get delayed. An idyllic vacation may turn out to be an utter bore. Your boss may suddenly send some urgent work that needs your input.

But digital natives can now leverage HUAWEI Smart Life devices to tackle these challenges for a stress-free life of the future!

Recommended : 5 Ways How HUAWEI Smart Life Devices Boost Productivity!

Tip #1 : Stuck Somewhere? Transport Yourself Away!

If your flight or train ride gets delayed, or you are stuck in a long line, whip out your smartphone for some mobile gaming!

Stop fretting about the delay, and channel your frustrations into finishing off your virtual enemies!

It helps that HUAWEI smartphones are not only powerful gaming devices, they have long battery life for hours of mobile gaming!

In addition, the new HUAWEI Mate 30 Pro come with two virtual buttons on the edge of the screen – one on each side.

Use these buttons to gain an advantage over your opponents – move, scope, aim and shoot at the same time! Nothing beats stress more than winning a game!

Tip #2 : Staying Connected With Two Free Hands

The new HUAWEI x Gentle Monster Eyewear not only look great, they let you pick up calls and stay connected, and enjoy music on-the-go!

Best of all, you can do all that while keeping both hands free!

Tip #3 : Stay Healthy + Sweat It Out!

The life of the future does not mean getting stuck in faceless cubicles for hours on end. Being digitally connected means you get to break out of the office!

For digital natives, results matter more than physical presence. Take time off to sweat it out for a healthier and less stressful life!

Use the HUAWEI WATCH GT 2 to monitor your heart rate, and keep track of your jog or swim. It will help to keep you in tip-top shape!

Don’t forget to slip on the HUAWEI x Gentle Monster Eyewear so you can listen to music and chat with your friends, while you burn off the calories!

Tip #4 : Tune Out The Noise!

One of the biggest problems people face, whether at work or at play, is noise. It can really get on your nerves and ruin a great day.

But thanks to the HUAWEI Freebuds 3, you can literally tune out the noise with its Active Noise Cancellation technology. And if you need to call someone, its Bone Sensor picks up your voice for clear conversations!

Tip #5 : Easy Transfers For Quick Work!

Smartphones are great because they are always connected to the Internet, but it’s not always the best platform to do serious work.

That’s where the HUAWEI Multi-Screen Collaboration feature comes in – it lets you get work done on both the Matebook 13 laptop and the smartphone simultaneously!

And with One Tap to Share technology, you can easily transfer files between your smartphone and the laptop with a simple drag-and-drop motion! Now that is truly how things should work in the life of the future!

Tip #6 : Stay Connected Indoors + Outdoors!

Digital natives get agitated whenever we lose access to the Internet. So it is critical for many people that the WiFi connectivity should not only be fast, it should be stable and reliable.

The HUAWEI WiFi Q2 Pro is a great way of delivering fast, reliable WiFi connectivity indoors and outdoors, even through large buildings. Just add satellite units to extend coverage!

Best of all – it will intelligently switch WiFi channels and hotspots to ensure you get the best possible connectivity, even as you move about!

The HUAWEI Mate 30 | Mate 30 Pro Referral Program Guide!

HUAWEI Malaysia is kicking off a special Mate 30 | Mate 30 Pro Referral Program for less than 2 weeks!

Here is the Tech ARP guide to the HUAWEI Mate 30 | Mate 30 Pro Referral Program for Malaysia!

What Is The HUAWEI Mate 30 | Mate 30 Pro Referral Program?

The HUAWEI Mate 30 | Mate 30 Pro Referral Program is a limited sale program in Malaysia.

It aims to encourage the first batch of Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro owners to reach out and get other people to buy them too.

The reason why they are doing this is to make sure the second batch of owners will have someone to help them clone their Android apps, or find alternative apps.

How Does The Mate 30 | Mate 30 Pro Referral Program Work?

Step 1 : Decide on a model

Here is the official price list for the HUAWEI Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro for Malaysia :

  • HUAWEI Mate 30 (8 GB + 128 GB) : RM 2,799 / ~US$669 / ~£539 / ~A$989
  • HUAWEI Mate 30 Pro (8 GB + 256 GB) : RM 3,899 / ~US$929 / ~£749 / ~A$1,379

Step 2 : Decide on a colour

The HUAWEI Mate 30 and HUAWEI Mate 30 Pro smartphones are available in two colour options – Black and Space Silver.

Recommended : HUAWEI Mate 30 + Mate 30 Pro Colour Comparison!

Step 3 : Obtain a referral code

You need to get a referral code from an existing Mate 30 or Mate 30 Pro owner.

To get things started though, HUAWEI Malaysia’s Country Director Bill Liu is offering his personal referral code (33995) for everyone to use for two days – 27 to 28 October 2019.

Step 4 : Purchase through the Referral Program

Finally, head over to https://mate30seriesreferral.3ex.com.my/, and make your purchase with the referral code!

Why HUAWEI Created The Mate 30 | Mate 30 Pro Referral Program

HUAWEI decided against a general public sale of the HUAWEI Mate 30 and HUAWEI Mate 30 Pro smartphones, due to US restrictions on Google Mobile Services.

They began limited sales in Malaysia through the Exclusive Ownership Campaign, where existing or previous HUAWEI Mate users were allowed to purchase the Mate 30 or Mate 30 Pro.

These early adopters received a whole bunch of freebies. In exchange, they had to learn how to live without Google Mobile Services, with help from HUAWEI through an exclusive service hotline and WhatsApp channel.

And now, they will serve as HUAWEI’s unofficial geek squad! That is why you need a referral code from one of these existing Mate 30 or Mate 30 Pro owners, to be able to purchase a unit under the Referral Program.

How HUAWEI Mate 30 Pro Captures 7680 FPS Video!

The HUAWEI Mate 30 Pro has a spectacular new video recording feature – the ability to capture 7680 fps ultra-slow motion video!

Find out how the HUAWEI Mate 30 Pro is able to capture video at a blazing 7680 frames per second!

The HUAWEI 7680 FPS Video Showcase!

HUAWEI shared with us four new short video samples to showcase the Mate 30 Pro‘s ability to deliver 7680 fps ultra-slow motion video.

Together with two additional videos they released earlier, we created this video showcase of their 7680 fps slow-motion capability.

How HUAWEI Mate 30 Pro Captures 7680 FPS Video!

It would be impossible for a human being to react fast enough to capture the “right moment”, so when you start recording, its NPU (Neural Processing Unit) analyses a second of video to determine the best time start recording at 7680 fps.

This process of analysing the video data and triggering at the right moment is a very strenuous process, using an AI algorithm and about 2 GB of RAM.

The HUAWEI Mate 30 Pro then captures 945 frames in 120 milliseconds. That approximately 3.5 GB worth of data is then expanded into 32 seconds of 30 fps ultra-slow motion video.

As you can tell, recording video at 7680 fps (frames per second) takes A LOT of processing power.

Even with its powerful Kirin 990 processor, the HUAWEI Mate 30 Pro can only do it at the 720p resolution, and only for a fleeting 0.12 seconds.

So if you are wondering when will you be able to record 7680 fps video at 1080p or 4K resolution, or for longer than 0.12 seconds… we did some calculations, and a future smartphone must be capable of processing all this data in an instant :

[adrotate group=”2″]
  • 720p @ 0.24 seconds : 7.0 GB of data
  • 1080p @ 0.12 seconds : 7.8 GB of data
  • 1080p @ 0.24 seconds : 15.6 GB of data
  • 4K @ 0.12 seconds : 31.4 GB of data
  • 4K @ 0.24 seconds : 62.8 GB of data

In addition, all that data must fit into the smartphone’s memory. Such a smartphone would need anywhere from 10 GB to 64 GB of memory!

This is why the HUAWEI Mate 30 Pro’s new ability to record 7680 fps video at 720p is, frankly, freaking amazing. The most other flagship smartphones can do is 960 fps at 720p.

The HUAWEI Mate 30 Pro‘s 7680 fps ultra-slow motion video capability is literally far and above its competitors. 8X better, to be exact!

HUAWEI Phone Clone : Foolproof Way To Bypass Trump Ban?

A new video has emerged, showing how HUAWEI Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro users can use HUAWEI Phone Clone to get access to apps without Google Play.

Let’s check it out and find out if HUAWEI Phone Clone is a foolproof way to bypass the Trump ban!

Updated @ 2019-10-14 : Added our analysis on the effectiveness of HUAWEI Phone Clone in bypassing the Trump ban.

HUAWEI Phone Clone : Foolproof Way To Bypass Trump Ban?

The HUAWEI Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro will go on sale very soon. But people are wondering – what can you install on the HUAWEI Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro smartphones?

This video that was shared with us shows how HUAWEI Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro users can bypass the Trump ban by simply using the HUAWEI Phone Clone app that is pre-installed in HUAWEI smartphones.

Here is a summary of what the video (which is in Mandarin, with English subtitles) reveals :

  • The HUAWEI Mate 30 Pro does not come with any Google apps pre-installed.
  • HUAWEI Phone Clone is then used to clone all data, including apps, from your old Android smartphone to the new Mate 30.
  • The process is simple, using a QR code to link and sync the two smartphones.
  • After the cloning process is complete, the HUAWEI Mate 30 Pro will have all of the data and apps from your old smartphone… including Google apps.
  • According to the host, Mr. Gadget, this is possible because apps that are not based on Google Mobile Services (GMS) are not affected by the Trump ban.
  • That means important apps like WhatsApp, Waze, Facebook, Instagram and PUBG Mobile (okay, okay… it’s a game, not an “important app”… LOL!) are not affected by the Trump ban.
  • The YouTube app cannot be installed or migrated since it runs on Google Mobile Services. However, you can still stream YouTube videos through any browser.
  • Similarly, the Gmail app cannot be installed or migrated. However, you can use the HUAWEI Mail app to access emails from any Gmail account.
  • Mr. Gadget also recommends installing apps through the Aptoide App Store, as an alternative to Google Play Store (which is not available)

Recommended : The HUAWEI 7680 FPS + ISO 25600 Video Showcase!

Effectiveness Of The HUAWEI Phone Clone Method

Now, the HUAWEI Phone Clone method is not foolproof.

It allows you to “bypass” the Trump ban by essentially porting over apps that do NOT rely on Google Mobile Services (GMS) to your Mate 30Mate 30 Pro smartphone.

But if the app requires GMS (like Gmail or YouTube), you will need to use an alternative app or use the web browser instead. For example :

  • switch from the Gmail app to the HUAWEI Mail app
  • use a web browser to view YouTube videos, instead of the YouTube app

This Phone Clone method is also a one-time deal. It lets you migrate the apps (and your data) over from an existing Android smartphone.

But if you ever need to reinstall the app, you will need to do it through the Aptoide App Store, or some other third-party App Store… because Google Play Store is not available.

Similarly, you will need to use the Aptoide app to update your apps, but this works the same way as Google Play Store.

The HUAWEI Phone Clone method is a good option for those with an existing smartphone to migrate most of their apps to the Mate 30Mate 30 Pro.

But it doesn’t solve the problem of not being able to access Google Play Store, or apps that use GMS. The good news though is that Trump may soon come to a trade agreement with China, and we could see Google services restored to the Mate 30Mate 30 Pro.

What Apps Can HUAWEI Phone Clone Migrate?

Mr. Gadget provided a list of apps that HUAWEI Phone Clone will successfully migrate over to the HUAWEI Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro, which we have summarised in this table :

The HUAWEI 7680 FPS + ISO 25600 Video Showcase!

The HUAWEI Mate 30 Pro has two spectacular video recording features – the ability to capture ultra-slow motion video at 7680 fps, and ultra-low light video at up to ISO 51200.

Here is EVERYTHING you need to know about both features, and our video showcase!

The HUAWEI 7680 FPS + ISO 25600 Video Showcase!

HUAWEI shared with us two short videos to showcase the Mate 30 Pro‘s ability to deliver 7680 fps ultra-slow motion video, as well as ultra-low light video recording at ISO 25600.

Together with two additional videos they released earlier, we created this video showcase of their 7680 fps and ISO 25600 video recording samples.

How The HUAWEI Mate 30 Pro Delivers 7680 FPS Video!

It would be impossible for a human being to react fast enough to capture the “right moment”, so when you start recording, its NPU analyses a second of video to determine the best time start recording at 7680 fps.

This process of analysing the video data and triggering at the right moment is a very strenuous process, using an AI algorithm and about 2 GB of RAM.

  • 4K @ 0.12 seconds : 31.4 GB of data
  • 4K @ 0.24 seconds : 62.8 GB of data

The HUAWEI Mate 30 High ISO Capability

In low light conditions, it is possible to increase the camera’s ISO value – basically boosting the signal from its image sensor.

While this effectively increases the sensitivity of the image sensor to light hitting its photodiodes, it can increase noise. Therefore, the ability to increase ISO levels without introducing significant noise is highly desirable.

The HUAWEI Mate 30 Pro boasts the ability to increase ISO levels up to ISO 51200, which is incredibly high. What this means is you have greater capability to take photos and record videos in low-light conditions.
