The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 & GTX 1050 Ti Details 2.0

Today, NVIDIA officially reveals two new graphics cards – the GeForce GTX 1050 and GeForce GTX 1050 Ti. Built around the GP107 GPU, the new GeForce GTX 1050 and GeForce GTX 1050 Ti are designed for entry-level and eSports gaming.

The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Presentation

NVIDIA gave us a special briefing on the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 and GeForce GTX 1050 Ti graphics yesterday. We prepared a video presentation so you can see what we saw during the briefing.

Notable points about the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 graphics card in the presentation : [adrotate banner=”4″]
  • It is based on the GP107 GPU.
  • It has triple the performance of the GeForce GTX 650.
  • It will deliver frame rates in excess of 60 fps in the latest games running at 1080p with medium settings.
  • It will come with 640 CUDA cores, 2 GB of GDDR5 memory, and a TDP of less than 75W.
  • It will be available on November 8th with a price tag of US$ 109.
  • A higher-end GeForce GTX 1050 Ti will have 768 CUDA cores, 4 GB of GDDR5 memory and a price tag of US$ 139 on October 25th.

  • The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 and GeForce GTX 1050 are NOT certified VR Ready. NVIDIA recommends the GeForce GTX 1060 and above.
  • They do NOT have SLI capability (obviously).
  • There won’t be any Founder’s Edition for these two cards.
  • They will both support NVIDIA Ansel.
  • They can be used as PhysX cards.

The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti Partner Boards Revealed

With the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 and GeForce GTX 1050 Ti set for worldwide sale on 25 October 2016, everyone’s eager to see what their partner boards will look like. After all, there won’t be any Founder’s Edition for either graphics card.

 

What? No Founder’s Edition?

Yes, as NVIDIA pointed out in the Q&A session of our big reveal, there will NOT be a GeForce GTX 1050 Founder’s Edition, or a GeForce GTX 1050 Ti Founder’s Edition. Only custom GeForce GTX 1050 or GeForce GTX 1050 Ti graphics cards from NVIDIA partners will be available for sale.

Okay, let’s get right down to the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti partner boards. We don’t have any pictures of the GeForce GTX 1050 partner boards yet. Hopefully, we will get them before the launch date! In the meantime, enjoy! 😀
