Bill Gates Vows To Eradicate Memes From the Internet Forever

Bill Gates has hatched a new plan that will result in the complete elimination of memes from the Internet forever.

The Gates-funded GAVI Vaccine Alliance has announced that it wants to reframe memes as “health disinformation super-spreaders.”

In previous eras and authoritarian states, that would get the books with imagery and words characteristic of memes banned or burned.

So what could be the solution in the current era? And what does the big picture amount to?

Well, it’s just Bill Gates going after a free and open internet again, only by other means – cynics might say.

But here’s what a blog post on GAVI’s site says: “Our research shows that memes form part of a highly sophisticated strategy to spread and monetize health disinformation.”

When the “research” is done – (including assertions such as that memes falsely “depicted unvaccinated people as unfairly stigmatized” – well tell that to tennis superstar Novak Djokovic who almost got his career ruined by actual unfair stigmatization) – come the conclusions:

“Influencers promoting vaccine hesitancy use memes to build their online following, sow distrust of health authorities and profit from the promotion of unapproved medicines. This enables them to evade responsibility for any negative consequences of their messaging.”

There’s a “call to action” too, basically – to formally criminalize memes.

Says GAVI: “Memes may not look threatening – but that’s why they are such effective super spreaders of health disinformation.”

Truth : Bill Gates Did Not Vow To Eradicate Memes From The Internet!

This is yet another example of fake news created / promoted by The People’s Voice, and here are the reasons why…

Fact #1 : Bill Gates Is Not Eradicating Memes From The Internet

Let me start by pointing out that Bill Gates never vowed to eradicate memes from the Internet. Neither did he plan to eradicate memes from the Internet.

In fact, the entire premise is so silly, I cannot believe I have to actually point out that it is impossible to eradicate memes from the Internet. It sounds like it was written by people who are not tech-savvy. It would be far more believable if they claim that Bill Gates wants to eradicate fairies!

The People’s Voice article, unsurprisingly, offered no evidence to back up its “fact checked” claim that Bill Gates vowed, or has actually hatched a plan, to eradicate memes from the Internet.

Fact #2 : GAVI Did Not Write That Article

The source of this nonsensical claim is a new article called “How memes became health disinformation super-spreaders“, which was attributed to GAVI. However, that’s not true.

The article was written by Stephanie Alice Baker, and Michael James Walsh, who published it on The Conversation. It was simply republished by GAVI, under a Creative Commons licence.

Fact #3 : Article Details How Antivaxxers Use Memes

The article details how anti-vaccine memes started centuries ago, and how some anti-vaccine influencers use men drops to profit financially! You should definitely read it. It’s a very interesting, and educational article, and I salute the authors!

But more importantly for this fact check, the article never once called for memes to be eliminated, or made criminal. This completely contradicts what was written in The People’s Voice article.

Fact #4 : Bill Gates Does Not Own / Run GAVI

Bill Gates does not own or run GAVI. The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation was just one of its founding partners. GAVI has many stakeholders, including the WHO, UNICEF, the World Bank, donor countries, and civil society organisations.

Its policies are therefore dictated not by a single person, but a GAVI board that is currently chaired by José Manuel Barros with 28 members, comprising of :

9 independent individuals
5 representatives from donor countries
5 representatives from implementing countries
2 representatives from GAVI – CEO, research and technical health institutes
2 representatives from the vaccine industry
1 representative from civil society organisations
1 representative from WHO
1 representative from UNICEF
1 representative from World Bank
1 representative from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation

Fact #5 : The People’s Voice Is Known For Fake News

The People’s Voice is the current name for NewsPunch, which possibly changed its name because its brand has been so thoroughly discredited after posting numerous shocking but fake stories.

Founded as Your News Wire in 2014, it was rebranded as NewsPunch in November 2018, before becoming The People’s Voice. A 2017 BuzzFeed report identified NewsPunch as the second-largest source of popular fake news on Facebook that year.

Chelsea Clinton has declared that unvaccinated children in America must be forced to take the mRNA jab with or without parental consent.

Chelsea – via the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) – along with the World Health Organization (WHO), UNICEF and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation says she hopes to force jab unvaccinated children via a new initiative called “The Big Catch-up.”

“The Big Catch-up” will last 18 months and, according to Bill Clinton’s daughter, aims to become “the largest childhood immunization effort ever.”

Childrenshealthdefense.org reports: Clinton, who serves as vice chair of CHAI, last week presented the initiative at Fortune’s Brainstorm Health Conference in Marina del Rey, California.

One day earlier, under the auspices of World Immunization Week, the WHO introduced “The Big Catch-up,” describing it as a “targeted global effort to boost vaccination among children following declines driven by the COVID-19 pandemic.”

Truth : Chelsea Clinton Never Called To Force-Jab Any Child!

This is yet another example of FAKE NEWS created and propagated by The People’s Voice, and here are the reasons why…

Fact #1 : The People’s Voice Is A Fake News Website

The People’s Voice is the new name / brand for NewsPunch, which was forced to change its name because it has been so thoroughly discredited, its brand was worthless.

Like Real Raw News, NewPunch was a FAKE NEWS website that capitalises on making shocking but fake stories to generate page views and money.

It was founded as Your News Wire in 2014, before being rebranded as NewsPunch in November 2018. A 2017 BuzzFeed report identified NewsPunch as the second-largest source of popular fake news spread on Facebook that year.

Its articles have been regularly debunked as fake news, so you should NEVER share anything from NewsPunch / The People’s Voice. Here are some of its fake stories that I personally debunked earlier:

Fact #2 : Chelsea Clinton Did Not Call To Force-Jab Any Child

As usual, NewsPunch / The People’s Voice offered ZERO EVIDENCE to back up its claims. That’s because it’s a fake story – Chelsea Clinton never once say that it was time to force-jab every child in America with the mRNA vaccine, with or without parental consent!

NewsPunch / The People’s Voice also offered NO EVIDENCE that Chelsea Clinton said “she hopes to force jab unvaccinated children via a new initiative called “The Big Catch-up”.

In fact, anyone who spends just a minute or two to search on Google or Bing would have discovered that there is not even a single quote from any speech or video to show that Chelsea Clinton called for children to be forcibly vaccinated with the mRNA vaccines, with or without parent consent.

Fact #3 : The Big Catch-Up Is About Childhood Vaccinations

The NewsPunch / The People’s Voice is based on what Chelsea Clinton said at Fortune’s Barnstorm Health conference in Marin del Ray, California on April 26, 2023.

At the event, she was promoting The Big Catch-Up, which is a global public health initiative to vaccinate children against childhood diseases like measles, diphtheria, polio and yellow fever.

Not only was she referring to a global initiative, she was also referring to childhood diseases. She certainly did not said that children should be forcibly vaccinated. Neither did she say that they should be vaccinated with or without their parents’ consent.

The Big Catch-Up does not involve mRNA vaccines or COVID-19 vaccines. It only targets childhood vaccinations that have declined during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In other words – claims that this is about forcibly vaccinating American children with the mRNA COVID-19 vaccines is utter nonsense, and are pure lies.

Fact #4 : She Warned About Low Childhood Vaccinations In The US

The Big Catch-Up isn’t focused on the United States. Rather, it mainly targets the 20 countries where three quarters of children who missed vaccinations in 2021 lives – Afghanistan, Angola, Brazil, Cameroon, Chad, DPRK, DRC, Ethiopia, India, Indonesia, Nigeria, Pakistan, Philippines, Somalia, Madagascar, Mexico, Mozambique, Myanmar, Tanzania, Viet Nam.

While the United States isn’t the main focus of The Big Catch-Up, Chelsea Clinton pointed out that many US c children failed to get their childhood vaccines. Less than 70% of children ages 2 and under in the US were considered fully vaccinated during 2020-2021, having received a full set of shots for diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, polio, measles, and other diseases common before the vaccine era.

No one should die of polio, measles, or pneumonia—including in this country, where we also need people to vaccinate their kids.

Bill Gates Vaccine Company GAVI Buys Chinese Vaccines?

People are sharing a video on Bitchute, with the title Bill Gates vaccine company GAVI has just signed agreements with China’s vaccine company Sinovac.

They appear to believe that it is evidence that Bill Gates is making use of the COVID-19 pandemic to make money through vaccines.

Truth : GAVI Is Not A Vaccine Company Owned By Bill Gates

The video is genuine, but the title and claim by people sharing it are FALSE. Here are the facts…

Fact #1 : It Was A CGTN News Report

Let me start by confirming that the video is a genuine 24-second video clip by CGTN.

It basically states that GAVI signed deals with China’s Sinopharm and Sinovac to provide COVID-19 vaccines for the COVAX programme.

Fact #2 : GAVI Is Not A Vaccine Company

GAVI, which is short for Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunisation, is an international organisation created in 2000 to provide lower-income countries with equitable access to vaccines.

GAVI is a non-profit organisation. It is not a company, and does not manufacture vaccines.

It aims to provide poorer countries with free or cheaper vaccines, by purchasing vaccines in bulk for better prices, and either subsidising the vaccines, or providing them for free using donor money.

Fact #3 : Bill Gates Does Not Own GAVI

On 12 July 2021, GAVI announced that they signed advance purchase agreements with both Sinopharm and Sinovac to provide 110 million doses to the COVAX Facility.

50 million doses of Sinovac CoronaVac vaccine doses

These vaccine doses will be distributed to lower-income countries for FREE to help with the COVID-19 vaccination programmes.

Fact #5 : Bill Gates Funds Part Of COVAX Facility

The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation is a major contributor to the COVAX Facility. In other words, they are PAYING for the vaccines that GAVI provides to poorer nations for FREE.

So Bill Gates is not making money from GAVI through the purchase and supply of vaccines. His foundation is actually SPENDING MONEY to help poorer countries get free vaccines.

Fact #6 : China Benefits Financially From GAVI Purchase

The CGTN video has a misleading chyron which suggests that the doses were a contribution by those companies or the Chinese government.

That’s not true. All 110 million doses were PURCHASED by GAVI for the COVAX Facility.

China is notably not a financial contributor to the COVAX Facility.

Therefore, China is the only country to financially benefit from GAVI’s purchase of 110 million vaccine doses from Sinovac and Sinopharm.
