Ian Miles Cheong : Canada wants to get rid of its young white male population on the grounds that they’re becoming extremists. If you’re psychologically inclined to be upset about the state of things, they’ll put you on the path to taking your own life (with the help of the state). Incredible.

RAW EGG NATIONALIST : No matter how many times you read this headline, it doesn’t become any less crazy than the first time you read it.

The article, which was allegedly written by Christian Paas-Lang and posted on CBC News on May 27, 2024, appears to show that Canadian mental health specialists are arguing for angry young men to be allowed to be euthanised:

These mental health specialists argue many young men prone to extremism would likely opt for MAID over engaging in acts of terror if the option was available to them.

Truth : Canada Is Not Offering To Euthanise Its Young White Males!

This is yet another example of fake news about euthanasia in Canada, and here are the reasons why…

Fact #1 : Canada Is Not Offering To Euthanise Young White Males

Let me start by simply pointing out that Canada is not offering to euthanise young white males who are prone to acts of terrorism.

There are no mental health specialists that are arguing that young men who are prone to extremism would “likely opt” for MAID (Medical Assistance In Dying), instead of engaging in acts of terrorism.

If Canada is actually proposing or even offering to euthanise young men for any reason, it would have been reported widely by the mainstream media, and widely criticised. Yet, none of that happened, because it was all made up.

Unsurprisingly, people who shared the viral screenshot did not offer any evidence to support those claims.

Fact #2 : CBC Article Screenshot Is Fake

What’s worse – the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) article screenshot appears to be fake, and digitally altered to show a completely different story. Why would anyone do that???

The CBC did not post such an article by Christian Paas-Lang on 28 May 2024, in which it claimed that top Canadian psychiatrists are pushing to offer Medical Assistance In Dying (MAID) to “angry young men”.

In fact, the real article was originally published on 17 December 2023, and it was about a spike in youths arrested on terror-related charges in Canada.

Fact #3 : Lady In Photo Isn’t A Psychiatrist

In addition, the lady in the photo isn’t a psychiatrist, as the edited screenshot makes it appear.

She is Sarah Beutel, the interim CEO of the Jewish Federation of Ottawa, as the screenshot (right) of the original CBC News article shows.

Sarah Beutel also did not call for young men to be offered euthanasia. Rather, she said that the arrest of a youth in Ottawa on terror charges shows a link between hateful speech and possible acts of violence.

Fact #4 : This Is No Such Article By Christian Paas-Lang

A quick check on articles by Christian Paas-Lang on CBC News, also confirmed that he wrote no such article about Canadian psychiatrists pushing to offer euthanasia to angry young men in Canada.

Fact #5 : Fake Screenshot Originated In 4chan

The fake CBC News screenshot appears to have originated in the anonymous message board 4chan, which is notorious for bizarre, and outright false, posts like that.

Just days ago, an anonymous person on 4chan falsely claimed that he was a Secret Service counter-sniper called Jonathan Willis, who was blocked from taking out the gunman who tried to assassinate Donald Trump

Fact #6 : This Is Just More Fake News About Euthanasia

Ultimately, this is just another example of fake news about euthanasia, or the Medical Assistance In Dying (MAID) option in Canada. Here are other examples I fact checked earlier:

People are sharing an article (archive) by The People’s Voice (formerly NewsPunch), which claims that Canada has started euthanising (killing) its vaccine-injured citizens!

Canada Begins Euthanizing Vaccine Injured Citizens

The Trudeau regime has ordered hospitals to begin euthanizing members of the public who have been injured by the COVID-19 vaccines.

Kelly Pollock, a 37-year-old mother from Ontario, became the first victim of the new policy, after she became paralyzed from the neck down following receiving a Moderna booster shot.

While in the emergency department Kayla recounts that the attending physician initially dismissed her symptoms, suggesting that it was all in her head and portrayed her as a “crazy person,” and ordered a psychiatric consult. All of what Kayla describes happening is evident in her medical records which we obtained and reviewed.

Eventually, an MRI was conducted, revealing that Kayla had a very large lesion on her spinal cord. A neurologist followed up with Kayla and recommended a course of steroids in an attempt to decrease the size of the lesion.

Kayla questioned the neurologist and asked if the lesion could be a tumor. In an audio recording taken by Kayla’s boyfriend, the neurologist responds, saying, “it’s less likely a tumor” and that it is his “gut impression it was caused by the vaccine.” When Kayla questions the doctor as to whether many people have had something similar happen to them, the doctor responds, saying “many people have had it.”

Later, Kayla would learn that she had developed transverse myelitis, a condition that interrupts the transmission of messages along the spinal cord nerves throughout the body. She would go on to spend several months in the hospital, where she says she was offered medical assistance in dying (MAID) on two occasions but rejected the offer.

Truth : Canada Isn’t Euthanising Vaccine Injured Citizens!

This is yet another example of fake news created / promoted by The People’s Voice, and here are the reasons why…

Fact #1 : There Was No Order To Euthanise Vaccine Injured Citizens

The People’s Voice article claimed or suggested that the Trudeau government ordered hospitals to begin euthanising members of the public who have been injured by the COVID-19 vaccines. That’s utter nonsense.

There has been no announcement by the Canadian government that is remotely close to what has been claimed / suggested, and the The People’s Voice article naturally (but unsurprisingly) provided no evidence to back up its “fact checked” claims.

To be clear – there is no evidence of any Canadian government policy to euthanise its vaccine injured citizens.

Fact #2 : Kayla Pollock Was Not Euthanised

The People’s Voice article covered the story of Kayla Pollock, who was identified as “the first victim of the new policy“.

That is easily disproven – Kayla Pollock was not euthanised, and is very much alive. In fact, she just posted on Instagram on 20 March 2024!

On top of that, The People’s Voice article itself admitted that Kayla Pollock is still alive, and that she was raising funds for a service dog. But even that is very old, and outdated news – she posted about training a new service dog on 10 July 2022 – more than 1.5 years ago!

Fact #3 : Kayla Pollock Was Offered MAID Three Times

The People’s Voice article claimed that Kayla Pollock was offered MAID (Medical Assistance In Dying) twice. Even that does not appear to be accurate.

According to her friend, Dennis Audit, who created a GoFundMe for her, Kayla Pollock was offered the MAID option three times.

Fact #4 : You Must Request For Euthanasia In Canada

Just in case you are wondering – the Canadian Medical Assistance In Dying (MAID) programme is opt-in, which means the patient must “make a voluntary request for medical assistance in dying“.

There are strict rules governing MAID in Canada. The government, hospital, or medical professionals, cannot simply euthanise people, even if they have a terminal illness. They certainly cannot euthanise vaccine injured citizens.

To be eligible for medical assistance in dying, you must meet all the following criteria. You must:

be eligible for health services funded by a province or territory, or the federal government
- You may also be eligible if you meet your province or territory’s minimum period of residence or waiting period.
be at least 18 years old and mentally competent
- This means being capable of making health care decisions for yourself.
have a grievous and irremediable medical condition
make a voluntary request for medical assistance in dying
- The request cannot be the result of outside pressure or influence.
give informed consent to receive medical assistance in dying

Even though Kayla Pollock was offered the MAID option three times, she chose not to accept. Hence, she was not euthanised, completely demolishing The People’s Voice article claim that she was “the first victim of the new policy”.

Fact #5 : Canada Parliament Passed MAID Law In 2016

To be clear – the MAID programme isn’t a new policy. Neither was it a Trudeau government policy. The MAID programme also has nothing to do with COVID-19 vaccine injuries.

It was the Parliament of Canada that passed Bill C-14 on 17 June 2016 to legalise euthanasia, and establish the MAID programme. The MAID programme was further expanded by Bill C-7 on 17 March 2021, to allow euthanasia for people whose death was not “reasonably foreseeable”.

Fact #6 : The People’s Voice Is Known For Fake News

The People’s Voice is the current name for NewsPunch, which possibly changed its name because its brand has been so thoroughly discredited after posting numerous shocking but fake stories.

Founded as Your News Wire in 2014, it was rebranded as NewsPunch in November 2018, before becoming The People’s Voice. A 2017 BuzzFeed report identified NewsPunch as the second-largest source of popular fake news on Facebook that year.

Its articles have been regularly debunked as fake news, so you should never share anything from NewsPunch / The People’s Voice. Here are some of its fake stories that I fact checked earlier:

People are sharing an article (archive) by The People’s Voice (formerly NewsPunch), which claims or suggests that a new study showed that the British government secretly euthanised elderly hospital patients to boost COVID-19 deaths!

New Study: British Gov’t Secretly Euthanized Elderly Hospital Patients To Boost ‘Covid Deaths’

A new study has revealed that tens of thousands of elderly British people were secretly euthanized by the state to boost the nation’s number of official Covid-19 deaths during the early days of the pandemic.

According to the preprint research study, elderly hospital patients were euthanized with a fatal injection of Midazolam, however the cause of death was listed as “COVID,” allowing the government to artificially inflate the number of Covid deaths and convince the public that the disease was far more dangerous than was actually the case.

Described as the “crime of the century,” the bombshell data from the report was released to the public by Australian politician Craig Kelly, the national director of the United Australia Party and former member of parliament.

The information suggests that a significant number of elderly individuals were allegedly killed through the administration of the end-of-life medication Midazolam.

According to Kelly, these deaths were inaccurately attributed to Covid, forming the basis for fear-inducing campaigns that justified lockdowns and the widespread administration of mRNA vaccines, an experimental medical intervention lacking long-term safety data, even in the case of children. Kelly made these statements in a post on X, accompanying receipts of the data.

Truth : Britain Did Not Euthanised Elderly To Boost COVID Deaths!

This is yet another example of fake news created / promoted by The People’s Voice, and here are the reasons why…

Fact #1 : Paper Was Preprint Article

Let me start by pointing out that the paper that are being quoted is an article called Excess Deaths in the United Kingdom: Midazolam and Euthanasia in the COVID-19 Pandemic by Wilson Sy – an investment analyst.

This article does not appear to have undergone peer review. It’s listed as a preprint on ResearchGate, and was accepted for publication in Medical & Clinical Research (which charges $3,916 for each paper) in less than a week:

Accepted : 25 Jan 2024

While that does not mean its findings are necessarily wrong, such preprint papers should not be relied upon as “established information”. It very much needs to be investigated, analysed, and verified.

Even the peer-review process is merely the first step in the scientific review process, which would be followed by replication, verification, and criticism by other researchers.

Fact #2 : Paper Does Not Show Deaths Caused By Midazolam

You might expect that the paper would at least show evidence for tens of thousands of deaths that were caused by Midazolam. Unfortunately, it shows nothing of the sort.

Did it look at death certificates or medical records to determine that those deaths were caused by Midazolam, and not COVID-19? No, that would be far too much work…

All it appears to do is try and prove some kind of correlation between excess deaths and the number of Midazolam injections in the United Kingdom. And when it could not show a correlation, it adjusted the chart temporally by one month, and voilà! that looks like correlation!

The only problem is – Midazolam is a short-acting drug, with a half-life of just 1.5 to 2.5 hours. It cannot possibly kill someone one month after injection!

Not only does this paper not show that any of the deaths were actually caused by Midazolam, it does not even show any correlation between Midazolam usage and excess deaths in the UK!

Fact #3 : Midazolam Is Used To Sedate Patients

Midazolam is infamous for being used to execute people sentenced to death, as well as an end-of-life medication. However, it has far more common and less morbid uses.

Midazolam is a short-acting benzodiazepine that is frequently used to sedate patients before they undergo surgeries, as well as medical /dental procedures. It is also used to treat prolonged seizures, or sedate agitated patients.

It is not surprising that Midazolam usage should spike during the COVID-19 pandemic, as it is one of the two most commonly-used drugs used to sedate patients in the ICU. It is also used to sedate patients before they are intubated and placed on mechanical ventilation.

Many of us may forget, but many ICUs were overwhelmed with patients who had to be intubated and placed on mechanical ventilation during the COVID-19 pandemic. In fact, many hospital wards (and even parking lots!) were converted into temporary ICUs to accommodate the surge of patients requiring mechanical ventilation.

In fact, if you think about it – it makes sense for excess deaths to spike days, weeks, or months, after a spike in Midazolam usage. It would suggest that people were dying after receiving Midazolam while critically ill in the ICU, or being intubated for mechanical ventilation.

Fact #4 : Many Deaths From COVID-19 Were Confirmed

Just over 73,000 people died from COVID-19 in the United Kingdom in 2020, with the vast majority – 94.6% confirmed as “deaths due to COVID-19”.

Deaths listed as “Confirmed COVID-19” were confirmed through tests, while deaths that were clinically determined to be caused by COVID-19 were listed as “Suspected COVID-19” if no test was available at that time, or the test result was not conclusive (source).

Regardless of whether you believe that Midazolam had any hand in these deaths, one thing is for sure – the vast majority of these deaths were confirmed to have been caused by COVID-19.

Fact #5 : Many Critially-Ill COVID-19 Patients Died

During the COVID-19 pandemic, many critically-ill patients had to be intubated and placed on mechanical ventilation as they could no longer breathe on their own. Midazolam is used to sedate such critically-ill patients, so its use would go up with the number of critically-ill patients being treated in the ICU, or placed on mechanical ventilation.

Unfortunately, a large percentage of patients on ventilator died, with some hospitals reporting mortality rates of 50% to 97%. An early report on the mortality of patients on ventilator at three hospitals in Georgia showed that approximately 30% of patients dying after being ventilated, and another 8.5% remaining on ventilation.

Just because many of those patients died while in the ICU or on mechanical ventilation does not mean that those machines, or the oxygen they provided, caused their deaths. It certainly does not mean that the Midazolam they received for sedation killed them.

Fact #6 : Euthanasia Is Illegal In United Kingdom

Finally, I should point out that both euthanasia and assisted suicide are illegal throughout the United Kingdom, and can be prosecuted as murder or manslaughter.

Doctors in the UK can only assist their patients in hastening their deaths by withholding treatment and reducing pain, and even then, only when they feel that “death is only a few days away”.
