Claim : Zhang Zhi Jie Died Suddenly From COVID-19 Vaccine!

Right after news broke that Zhang Zhi Jie collapsed and died suddenly during the Badminton Asia Junior Championship, some people immediately claimed or suggested that the 17 year-old Chinese badminton player died suddenly from the COVID-19 vaccine!

DANY DEE (translated) : Vaccinated = deceased. Once again ! “Zhang Zhijie, a promising 17-year-old Chinese badminton player, dies after fainting and convulsing mid-match.”

Hello Dave (Excess Deaths) : 17-year-old Chinese player Zhang Zhijie has died suddenly after passing out on the court during an international badminton tournament in Indonesia, sports officials said on Monday. Zhang Zhijie fainted on Sunday night while facing Kazuma Kawano at the Asian youth tournament in Yogyakarta.

Truth : Zhang Zhi Jie Did Not Die From COVID-19 Vaccine!

It’s now tradition for anti-vaccination activists to blame all athlete deaths or illnesses on the COVID-19 vaccine.

Here are the reasons why this is yet another example of FAKE NEWS created and propagated by anti-vaccine activists…

Fact #1 : Zhang Zhi Jie Died From Cardiac Arrest

Zhang Zhi Jie (also known as Zhang Zhijie) was a 17 year-old Chinese badminton player.

On Sunday, June 30, 2024, Zhang Zhi Jie was playing against Kazuma Kawano of Japan, in the Badminton Asia Junior Championships in Yogyakarta, Indonesia; when he suddenly collapsed and start convulsing on court.

He was taken to the hospital, but by the time he arrived, he was no longer breathing, and no longer had a pulse. He was treated for about three hours, before being taken to a second hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 11:20 PM the same day.

Indonesia’s badminton association held a press conference on 1 July, in which spokesperson Broto Happy said that Zhang Zhi Jie died from a sudden cardiac arrest.

The conclusions of the examination and treatment of the victim from two hospitals show the same results, the victim experienced sudden cardiac arrest.

To be clear – two hospitals treated and examined Zhang Zhi Jie, and they both concluded that he died from a sudden cardiac arrest, not the COVID-19 vaccine.

None of those who claimed that Zhang Zhi Jie died from the COVID-19 vaccine provided any evidence to back up their claims.

Fact #2 : Badminton Rules Delayed Medical Assistance

The controversy over Zhang Zhi Jie’s tragic and unexpected death wasn’t about whether COVID-19 vaccines played a role (it doesn’t). It was why there appeared to be a delay in providing him with medical assistance.

Several seconds after Zhang Zhi Jie collapsed, a man can be seen gingerly making his way to help him, but stops and looks back as Zhang tries to lift his head up. The man then shouts and gestures for people to help Zhang.

It took some 40 seconds from the time Zhang collapsed to the arrival of the first responder. It was almost a full minute before he was placed on his back. PBSI later explained that the medical teams had to follow a rule where they needed the referee’s permission before entering the court.

That is in accordance with the regulations and standards of procedure that applies to every international badminton tournament.

Badminton Asia said that Zhang was taken to an ambulance within two minutes. However, the video footage shows him being taken off court a little over two minutes after he collapsed.

Fact #3 : Seizures Can Lead To Cardiac Arrest

It is important to note that Zhang Zhi Jie appears to suffer a seizure when he collapsed, because sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) is a major cause of death for people with epilepsy, or people suffering from seizures:

Fact #4 : COVID-19 Vaccines Do Not Cause Seizures

To be clear – COVID-19 vaccines do not cause seizures or epilepsy. There is no plausible or known pathogenesis for any vaccine to cause seizures.

Naturally, people claiming or suggesting that COVID-19 vaccines cause seizures, are unable to detail how it is possible, or provide any actual evidence. They want to convince us it’s true, but are too baffled to explain how, or show us any evidence.

In contrast, tens of billions of doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered worldwide, and extended monitoring over the last 3 years have shown that they do not cause seizures.

Fact #5 : Athletes Are At Higher Risk Of Cardiac Arrest

While athletes appears to be the epitome of healthy young people, many are at risk of dying from sudden cardiac arrest (SCA).

In fact, studies show that sudden cardiac arrest is the leading medical cause of death in young athletes. On average, about 2,000 young people in the United States (less than 24 years old) die from sudden cardiac arrest every year, and many do not have previously-known heart disease.

That’s why many states in the United States enacted laws requiring automated external defibrillators (AED) to be made available in health clubs, gyms, schools, and other public places.

Fact #6 : Unknown If Zhang Zhi Jie Was Vaccinated Against COVID-19

Due to the high vaccination rate in China, it is very likely that Zhang Zhi Jie was vaccinated against COVID-19. However, there isn’t any actual evidence that Zhang received the COVID-19 vaccine.

It is possible that Zhang Zhi Jie was unvaccinated against COVID-19, because the COVID-19 vaccine is not mandatory in China.

Ironically, many people who were injured or died suddenly were actually unvaccinated, like Kris Jordan, Aaron Carter, Kirstie Alley, Stephan Bonnar, Grayson Murray, Shane Macaulay, David Wayne Burleson, and Kaden Clymer.

Until and unless he (or his family) reveals his COVID-19 vaccination status, anyone who tells you that Zhang Zhi Jie was vaccinated or otherwise, is likely lying to you. None of us know that.

Fact #7 : China Uses Completely Different Vaccines

I should also point out that China does not use much-maligned mRNA vaccines. Instead, they use their own vaccines based on older technologies, like the Sinovac CoronaVac, CanSino Convidecia, and Sinopharm BIBP vaccines.

Fact #8 : Vaccine Side Effects Appear Within Hours / Days

Even if Zhang Zhi Jie was fully-vaccinated against COVID-19, he would have received his doses more than three years ago!

He cannot possibly have suffered from a vaccine side effect, because they appear within hours or days, not months later.

Mild side effects like injection site pain, fever, muscle ache, headache, lethargy develop within minutes to hours of the vaccination.

Anaphylaxis develops within minutes, while other severe adverse reactions like myocarditis and VITT develop within days or weeks.

The spike proteins produced by the COVID-19 vaccines also do not stick around for months. If these spike proteins are permanent (as antivaxxers claim), we would have lifelong immunity.

Your own immune system will identify the spike proteins as foreign, and destroy them within a matter of days, although some may last for up to a few weeks. This is part of how vaccines teach your immune system to identify the enemy and destroy it.

Fact #1 : BJ Thompson Had A Seizure

BJ Thompson (born Brandon Thompson Jr. on 23 March 1999) is a 25 year-old American football defensive end for the Kansas City Chiefs in the NFL (National Football League).

On Thursday, June 6, 2024, BJ Thompson had a seizure during a special teams meeting, before going into cardiac arrest. The Kansas City Chiefs medical staff quickly stabilised him, and BJ Thompson was taken to a hospital, where he is in stable condition.

To be clear – BJ Thompson did not collapse from a cardiac arrest, like Damar Hamlin, or Bronny James. He suffered a seizure, before going into cardiac arrest, as reported by NFL Networks’s Tom Pelissero:

The #Chiefs canceled all team activities today after a backup defensive lineman had a seizure in a special teams meeting and went into cardiac arrest, per sources.

Gyratory seizures (GSs) have been rarely described in generalized as well as in focal epilepsies. They were defined as a rotation around the body axis during a seizure for at least 180 degrees

These “gyratory seizures” or “vaccine death spiral” are now much more common after the rollout of COVID-19 vaccines.

Here are the reasons why this is yet another example of FAKE NEWS created and propagated by anti-vaccine activists…

Fact #1 : Andy Delort Had An Epileptic Seizure

Andy Delort (أندي ديلور, born on 9 October 1991) is a French-Algerian professional footballer who is a striker for the Qatar Stars League club Umm Salal, and the Algeria national team.

On the evening of Saturday, 6 January 2024, Umm Salal was playing against Al-Arabi in Qatar, when Andy Delort scored the opening goal. Then he started spinning in a circle at the 16th minute before collapsing onto the pitch, and convulsing in an epileptic fit.

He was quickly attended to by a medical team, but recovered within a few minutes. He walked off the field, and the game continued. Andy Delort did not need to be hospitalised, and he watched the rest of the game from the substitutes’ bench.

He even sent out an Instagram story at that time, stating “Thank you all for your messages. Everything is back to normal.” (“Merci à tous pour vos messages. Tout est rentré dans l’ordre.“)

Andy Delort later issued this message to his fans:

Hello to the whole RMC team! It’s Andy Delort to tell you that everything is going very well. I had a little bit of fatigue. We did the tests, it’s going very well. Don’t forget that we’re going to start against at Rothern’s with shows where we’re going to talk about everything and nothing, but especially football. See you soon friends, big kisses and long live Ligue 1!

To be clear – Andy Delort did not die after collapsing. Neither was he hospitalised. He only suffered an epileptic seizure, and recovered within minutes on his own.

Fact #2 : Vaccine Death Spiral Does Not Exist

The “vaccine death spiral” does not exist. Like “Turbo Cancer“, “Turbo AIDS“, or even “Vaccine AIDS“, the term “vaccine death spiral” was simply made up by anti-vaccine activists to scare you.

In fact, many cases of “vaccine death spiral” turned out to be just normal cases of seizures that did not result in death.

Fact #3 : Gyratory Seizures Existed Long Before Vaccines

I should point out that gyratory seizures, defined as a rotation around the body axis during a seizure for at least 180 degrees, have been documented long before COVID-19 vaccines were invented.

As William Makis himself pointed out, it was described in the 2005 Dobesberger et. al paper called Gyratory seizures revisited.

That paper revealed that 12 out of 277 patients suffered gyratory seizures, from 1998 to 2004 – that’s 15 to 21 years before the pandemic! All those patients had existing, intractable (difficult or impossible to control) epilepsies, and had been referred for “presurgical evaluation”.

Fact #4 : Seizures Are Not Side Effect Of COVID-19 Vaccines

To be clear – seizures, gyratory or not, are not a side effect of COVID-19 vaccines. There is no plausible or known pathogenesis for any vaccine to cause gyratory seizures.

Fact #1 : Brooke Shields Had A Grand Mal Seizure

On Wednesday, 1 November 2023, Brooke Shields (born Brooke Christa Shields on 31 May 1965) revealed in a Glamour interview that she suffered a scary medical emergency several weeks earlier in September.

The actress recounted how she was waiting for a table at the L’Artusi restaurant in New York City, when she suffered a seizure.

Two women came up to me; I don’t know them. Everything starts to go black. Then my hands drop to my side and I go headfirst into the wall.

Brooke Shields explained that she suffered a “full blown grand mal seizure“, which is also known as a tonic-clonic seizure. She did not suffer any COVID-19 vaccine injury.

I start having a grand mal seizure… Frothing at the mouth, totally blue, trying to swallow my tongue.

Fact #2 : Bradley Cooper Accompanied Her To The Hospital

The next thing Brooke Shields remembered was being loaded onto an ambulance, and given oxygen, and realising that “Bradley fucking Cooper is sitting next to me, holding my hand“.

I thought to myself, This is what death must be like. You wake up and Bradley Cooper’s going, ‘I’m going to go to the hospital with you, Brooke,’ and he’s holding my hand.

I’m looking at Bradley Cooper’s hand in my hand, and I’m like, ‘This is odd and surreal.’

Bradley Cooper happened to be near the restaurant when Brooke Shields suffered her seizure, and accompanied her to the hospital after the restaurant failed to get hold of her husband, Chris Henchy.

Fact #3 : Brooke Shields Attributed Seizure To Water Toxicity

It is unknown if Brooke Shields suffers from epilepsy. But she explained that she had been drinking “so much water” that day, that the seizure was triggered by low sodium.

I flooded my system and I drowned myself. And if you don’t have enough sodium in your blood or urine or your body, you can have a seizure.

Brooke Shields never once claimed that her seizure was caused by the COVID-19 vaccine. In fact, she never mentioned the COVID-19 vaccine even once in her Glamour interview.

To be clear – hyponatremia (low sodium) can cause seizures. And there is no evidence that COVID-19 vaccines can cause tonic-clonic seizures.

Fact #4 : Unknown If Brooke Shields Was Vaccinated Against COVID-19

Despite claims that Brooke Shields is fully vaccinated against COVID-19, I can find no record of her COVID-19 vaccination status. She did not appear to posted anything about receiving the COVID-19 vaccine on social media, so it is uncertain he was vaccinated against COVID-19.

For all we know – Brooke Shields may not even be vaccinated against COVID-19! After all, the COVID-19 vaccine is not mandatory in the United States. Many people who suffered sudden death or injuries were found to be unvaccinated, like Kris Jordan, Aaron Carter, Kirstie Alley, Stephan Bonnar, David Wayne Burleson, and Kaden Clymer.

Until and unless Brooke Shields reveals her COVID-19 vaccination status, anyone who claims that she is fully-vaccinated is likely lying to you.

Fact #5 : Vaccine Side Effects Appear Within Hours / Days

Even if Brooke Shields was fully-vaccinated against COVID-19, it does not mean she suffered a seizure caused by the COVID-19 vaccine. For one thing – there is no evidence that any COVID-19 vaccine can cause seizures.

More importantly – she would have received her doses more than two years ago! She cannot possibly be suffering from a vaccine side effect, because they appear within hours or days, not months or years later.

Mild side effects like injection site pain, fever, muscle ache, headache, lethargy develop within minutes to hours of the vaccination.

Anaphylaxis develops within minutes, while other severe adverse reactions like myocarditis and VITTdevelop within days.

The spike proteins produced by the COVID-19 vaccines also do not stick around for months. If these spike proteins are permanent (as antivaxxers claim), we would have lifelong immunity.

Many people are sharing a video of Shane Macaulay collapsing suddenly outside his home, suggesting that the Canadian musician and podcaster died suddenly from COVID-19 vaccine sudden adult death syndrome (SADS)!

Truth : Shane Macaulay Did Not Die Suddenly From Vaccine!

It’s now tradition for anti-vaccination activists to blame all sudden deaths or illnesses on the COVID-19 vaccine.

Here are the reasons why this is yet another example of FAKE NEWS created and propagated by anti-vaccination activists…

Fact #1 : Shane Macaulay Is Still Alive

First, I should point out that Shane Macaulay is still alive, as of June 13, 2023 when he posted a last call for a Pre-Father’s Day BBQ on his podcast’s Facebook page.

On his personal Twitter page, Shane Macaulay (also known as Shaner Macaulay) last posted this message on June 5, 2023:

Anyone wanna see this? @NUBS416? I used to see ya at shows in Toronto at The Phoenix, Opera House, etc. if it’s just @FatMike_of_NOFX that wants to leave @NOFXband I’ll try to fill in. #justtheflu

So claims that Shane Macaulay died suddenly from the COVID-19 vaccine are nonsense.

Fact #2 : Video Was Recorded In February 2023

I should also point out that while his video only went viral on TikTok and Twitter in June 2023, it was recorded and posted in his YouTube channel months ago – on 28 February 2023 to be specific.

Fact #3 : Shane Macaulay Had A Seizure

In his original video, Shane Macaulay clearly said that he suffered a seizure. It would also be impossible for him to post his own video, or this explanation, if he actually died suddenly…

The morning I had a Seizure.

I came back from dropping my son off at day care. Five mins later Home Depot was here dropping off lumber and cement for our back deck. With all the contractors. My stress and anxiety was through the roof.

It also looked like Shane / Shaner Macaulay has a prior history of seizures, which made it impossible for him to even drive:

Fact #4 : Viral Video Was Cut Short

The original video was 2 minutes and 45 seconds long. The video clip that went viral on TikTok and Twitter was (intentionally?) cut short to just 1 minute 21 seconds.

Why was it cut short? Perhaps because at around the 1:42 mark, a Home Depot man can be heard telling the 911 operator that Shane was suffering from a seizure. The man can also be heard confirming to the 911 operator that Shane was breathing (and therefore, still alive).

Fact #5 : Shane Macaulay Was Never Vaccinated Against COVID-19!

No COVID-19 vaccine is known to be capable of causing seizures. In any case, it is impossible for Shaner Macaulay to have suffered a seizure from the COVID-19 vaccine, because he was never vaccinated against COVID-19!

THIS VIDEO HAS BEEN STOLEN AND HAS GONE VIRAL ON TIKTOK. SAYING THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU GET VAXXED.

For the record. I am unvaxxed. And if anything. I am strongly against it. And I would recommend looking up vaccination shedding. Which is what I was looking into. Don’t jump to conclusions without asking myself.

Shane Macaulay even told Stew Peters off for claiming that he suffered the seizure because of the COVID-19 vaccine!

Shane Macaulay / Shaner Macaulay joins the list of unvaccinated people who were falsely accused of dying from, or getting injured by, the COVID-19 vaccine – Aaron Carter, Kirstie Alley, Kris Jordan, Stephan Bonnar, David Wayne Burleson, and Kaden Clymer.

Fact #5 : COVID-19 Vaccines Do Not Cause Vaccine Shedding

Shane Macaulay suspects his seizure may be related to the COVID-19 vaccine, even though he was not vaccinated, because of something called “vaccine shedding”.

However that’s not possible, because vaccine / viral shedding is only possible with live, attenuated virus vaccines, which use a weakened form of the virus that can “multiply” and “shed” inside and outside the body.

Vaccine / viral shedding is not possible with current COVID-19 vaccines, because none of them use live, attenuated SARS-CoV-2 viruses! So it is simply impossible for any COVID-19 vaccine currently approved to shed viruses or spike proteins.

Fact #6 : Claims Of COVID-19 Vaccine Injuries Often Proven False

Most claims of sudden deaths / injuries due to the COVID-19 vaccine have been proven false. Here is the latest dozen of other false sudden death claims!

Claim : Korean Livestreamer BJ케이 Did Not Die Suddenly!

It’s now a tradition for anti-vaccination activists to immediately blame all celebrity deaths or illnesses on the COVID-19 vaccine.

This is yet another example of FAKE NEWS created and propagated by anti-vaccination activists, and here are the reasons why, and what we know so far…

Fact #1 : Korean Livestreamer Is Called BJ케이

You may notice that all those posts conspicuously do not mention the name of the Korean influencer. That’s likely intentional, to prevent you from looking him up.

The man in the viral video is called BJ케이, also known as 박중규 / 朴重奎 / Park Jung-kyu – a 33 year-old Korean livestreamer.

The incident was captured during a livestream on afreecatv, which is short for Any FREE broadCAsting – a Korean video streaming service based on peer-to-peer technology. In addition to streaming on afreecatv, BJ케이 also has a YouTube channel.

Fact #2 : Video Does Not Show BJ케이 Dying

In the viral afreecatv video, BJ케이 is seen speaking with three other people, before he inexplicably looks backwards and does a spin before falling backwards onto the table.

His fall causes the livestream camera to fall, and point upwards at the ceiling and chandelier. The video itself does not show BJ케이 dying. You can literally hear him groaning in the background.

Fact #3 : BJ케이 Is Still Alive

Claims that the Korean livestreamer BJ케이 died on that live video is false. BJ케이 is very much still alive, just like many people featured in the Died Suddenly movie.

For one thing, BJ케이 continued posting videos on his YouTube channel – on December 1 and December 3, 2022.

Fact #4 : BJ케이 Had An Epileptic Fit

On December 4, 2022, BJ케이 posted a notice on his afreecatv blog, stating that his doctor told him his collapse was likely due to epilepsy, and he would undergo EEG and MRI tests on Monday, December 5.

He also said that he had a bad flu that day, but tested twice for COVID-19, and both PCR tests were negative.

Here is his post in Korean, machine translated into English:

I didn’t post earlier, so I wrote this post because I thought my viewers will be curious.

I went to the university hospital a few days ago and was treated. The doctor said it seems to be epilepsy.

Truth : Gamer Pedro Qualy Did NOT Die On Live Stream!

This is yet another example of FAKE NEWS created and propagated by anti-vaccination activists, and here are the reasons why, and what we know so far…

Fact #1 : He Is A Brazilian Rapper Called Pedro Qualy

You may notice that all those posts conspicuously do not mention the name of the gamer in the video. That’s likely intentional, to prevent you from looking him up.

The man in the viral video is called Pedro Qualy, and he is actually a Brazilian rapper from the São Paulo band, Haikaiss.

Fact #2 : Video Does Not Show Pedro Qualy Dying

In the viral video, Pedro Qualy is seen looking over his right shoulder, before falling over his keyboard, and jerking as he falls backwards and off his chair.

Nothing in the video shows Pedro Qualy dying. It only shows him suffering a seizure.

Fact #3 : Pedro Qualy Is Still Alive

In the longer version of the video, Pedro Qualy’s wife, Anna Brisa, is seen entering the room with their two daughters. She doesn’t seem to be aware of what’s going on, and asked if he was pranking her.

Pedro was not able to speak, but one of the people viewing the live stream told he, “No, Anna, seriously, He is having an epileptic fit.”

The rapper recovered and several hours later, posted a video to assure his fans that he was alive and well.

Fact #4 : Video Was Recorded In August 2020

The viral video showing Pedro Qualy suffering a seizure on his live stream was recorded on August 28, 2020.

That’s four months before the first COVID-19 vaccine was approved! Needless to say – this gamer / rapper’s epileptic fit had nothing to do with the COVID-19 vaccines!
