Claim : Joe Biden Banned Religious-Themed Easter Eggs!

Some people are claiming or suggesting that US President Joe Biden banned religious-themed Easter eggs, and Christian symbols at the White House Easter egg roll!

Kristi Noem : Biden and the Democrats decided Easter – the Holy Day of our Savior’s Resurrection – as transgender day of visibility. There is no length Biden and the Democrats won’t go to to mock your faith, and to thumb his nose at God.

Rep Andy Biggs : “Devout Catholic” Joe Biden banned religious symbols from the White House’s Easter egg art contest. He’s recognizing Easter as Trans Day of Visibility instead of one of the holiest days on the Christian calendar.

Collin Rugg : Not only has President Biden declared Easter Sunday 2024 as Transgender Day of Visibility, but he is banning religious-themed Easter egg designs at the Easter Egg Roll event. How Catholic of him.

The White House is banning National Guard children from submitting Easter egg designs that include “questionable content, religious symbols, overtly religious themes, or partisan political statements.”

The art contest is a tradition at the White House Easter Egg Roll however the Catholic president doesn’t want to see anything religious-themed. Shameful.

Elise Stefanik : Joe Biden declares that Easter Sunday is transgender visibility day while he bans Christian symbols from the White House Easter egg roll. Disgraceful. Easter will forever be the celebration of Jesus Christ’s resurrection.

Savanah Hernandez : Not only did the Biden’s ban all religious-designs from the White House Easter egg art contest but he also proclaimed this Easter Sunday as a “Transgender Day of Visibility” Your Catholic President ladies and gentlemen.

Truth : Joe Biden Did Not Ban Religious-Themed Easter Eggs!

This appears to be yet another example of fake news created or promoted by right-wing American and Christian conservatives, and here are the reasons why…

Fact #1 : Joe Biden Did Not Ban Religious-Themed Easter Eggs!

This is really silly, but let me just point out that US President Joe Biden did not ban religious-themed Easter eggs in the White House Easter Egg art contest, or at the White House Easter Egg Roll.

What these right-wing American and Christian conservatives are apparently so outraged about is a flyer (PDF) calling for children in National Guard families to submit artwork for Easter eggs. Selected designs would then be painted onto real hen eggs by talented egg artists and displayed at the White House.

The flyer called for children to draw a “snapshot of their life“, but asked that their artwork must not contain include “questionable content, religious symbols, overtly religious themes, or partisan political statements“.

However, those submission guidelines have nothing to do with Joe Biden, Jill Biden, or the Biden Administration.

Fact #2 : Easter Egg Art Rules Set By American Egg Board

The eggs for the White House Easter Egg Roll event, as well as the Easter Egg art contest, are all sponsored by the American Egg Board. It is the American Egg Board that created those rules as the Sponsor.

It is clearly stated in the flyer that the Sponsor (American Egg Board) decides on the guidelines, and decides on the submissions.

[The] Sponsor, in its sole discretion, may remove any Submission and disqualify an entrant if it believes, in its sole discretion, that the entrant’s Submission fails to conform to the Guidelines and Restrictions.

In addition, the flyer also states that participants will grant the Sponsor (American Egg Board), the right to use their artwork, and collect their personal data. It also referred participants to the American Egg Board’s privacy policy.

In short, the White House Easter Egg art contest rules were issued by the American Egg Board, not Joe Biden, Jill Biden, or the Biden Administration.

Fact #3 : Those Rules Were Used For Last 45 Years!

What’s even more damning is the fact that the non-discrimination language used in the American Egg Board flyer has been used for the last 45 years, across many administrations both Republican and Democrat.

After many right-wing American and Christian conservatives vented their bile on social media, White House Deputy Assistant to President Joe Biden, Elizabeth Alexander, pointed out this hypocrisy:

Fyi on all the misleading swirl re White House and Easter: the American Egg Board flyer’s standard non-discrimination language requesting artwork has been used for the last 45 years, across all Dem & Republican Admins—for all WH Easter Egg Rolls —incl previous Administration’s.

If those right-wing American and Christian conservatives did not find them offensive the previous 44 years, So why the outrage this year???

Fact #4 : This Is Just Joe Biden Fake News

WEF Orders U.S. Electors To Not Certify Trump’s 2024 Election Win

The World Economic Forum has instructed electors in the U.S. to not certify the upcoming presidential election if Trump wins.

According to the WEF-funded publication The Atlantic, Democrats must prepare to refuse to certifiy the 2024 election in November.

The WEF mouthpiece put out an article Friday titled, “How Democrats Could Disqualify Trump If the Supreme Court Doesn’t“, outlining a strategy for Democrats to defy the election results if they don’t get their way.

This is just the latest example of Democrats projecting their intention to defy the will of the voters if Trump wins the 2024 election.

emocrats should expect to go to prison in D.C. for 22 years for trying to overturn the election since they’ve set the precedent by jailing nonviolent J6 protesters for speaking out against the rigged 2020 election.

Truth : WEF Did Not Order US Electors To Not Certify Trump’s 2024 Election Win!

This is yet another example of fake news created / promoted by The People’s Voice, and here are the reasons why…

Fact #1 : WEF Did Not Order US Electors To Do Anything

Let me start by pointing out that the World Economic Forum (WEF) did not order or instruct any US elector to not certify Trump’s 2024 election win.

If the WEF actually did that, it would not only have been reported widely by the mainstream media, it would have been lambasted by Trump supporters, and everyone else who believes in a fair election.

Yet, there was no such report, not even some social media outrage. That’s because that never happened.

The People’s Voice article, unsurprisingly, offered no evidence to back up its “fact checked” claim. No document, not even a (doctored?) audio or video of WEF chairman Klaus Schwab issuing those orders.

Fact #2 : WEF Wasn’t Even Mentioned In The Atlantic Article

The source of this nonsensical claim is an article by The Atlantic called “How Democrats Could Disqualify Trump If The Supreme Court Doesn’t“. Guess what – the World Economic Forum wasn’t even mentioned in the article!

So how did The People’s Voice article conclude that the WEF just ordered or instructed US electors to not certify Donald Trump??? Yet again, The People’s Voice article provided no evidence to back up its claim…

Fact #3 : WEF Does Not Fund The Atlantic

The People’s Voice article called The Atlantic a “WEF-funded publication“. As far as I can tell – that’s utter bollocks.

Steve Jobs’ widow, Laurene Powell Jobs acquired majority ownership of The Atlantic on 28 July 2017, through her Emerson Collective organisation. This relegated David G. Bradley and Atlantic Media to the minority ownership of The Atlantic.

Of course, The People’s Voice article provided no evidence, just a single link to a profile of The Atlantic’s current CEO, Nicholas Thompson on the WEF website.

Fact #4 : Article Was About Congress, Not Electors

The Atlantic article did not mention anything about electors being ordered not to certify Trump’s win in the 2024 Presidential election (which is not a foregone conclusion).

The article was about the opinions of Democrats in the US Congress, and has nothing to do with the electors, appointed by each state to form the US Electoral College.

Fact #5 : Democrats Objected To Every GOP President Since 2000

The Atlantic article actually pointed out that some Democrats have objected to the certification of each GOP presidential winner since 2000. But that never stopped those GOP presidential winners from being certified as the President of the United States.

So, the WEF would not actually have to “order” or “instruct” any member of Congress to object to the certification of Donald Trump, if he does actually win the 2024 Presidential election.

Fact #6 : Democrats Will Not Commit Until Supreme Court Affirms Eligibility

The Atlantic article points out that some Democrats are hesitant about certifying a Trump win in 2024, unless the US Supreme Court affirms his eligibility to serve another term as president. After all – the Fourteenth Amendment bars people who have “engaged in insurrection or rebellion” from holding office.

While Donald Trump has not yet been convicted of fomenting an insurrection, every House Democrat together with 10 Republicans voted to impeach Trump for “incitement of insurrection” in early 2021. So, those members of Congress believe that Donald Trump is an “insurrectionist” who is ineligible to serve as president.

The same article also pointed out that if the Supreme Court affirms his eligibility, the Democrats have said that they would vote for certification if Trump wins.

Eric Swalwell (D-CA) : I’m going to follow the law. I would not object out of protest of how the Supreme Court comes down. It would be doing what I didn’t like about the January 6 Republicans.

Fact #7 : Republicans Also Decline To Commit To Certify

While some Democrats who are refusing to commit to certifying a Trump win in 2024 because they believe that he is guilty of insurrection, top Republicans like Representative Elise Stefanik – the House GOP conference chair, refused to commit to certifying a Joe Biden win, even though he does not face any questions about his eligibility.

Fact #8 : The People’s Voice Is Known For Fake News

The People’s Voice is the current name for NewsPunch, which possibly changed its name because its brand has been so thoroughly discredited after posting numerous shocking but fake stories.

Founded as Your News Wire in 2014, it was rebranded as NewsPunch in November 2018, before becoming The People’s Voice. A 2017 BuzzFeed report identified NewsPunch as the second-largest source of popular fake news on Facebook that year.
