Doogee Malaysia Launches 5 New Smart Devices

On the 31st of March 2016, Doogee officially announced their presence in the Malaysian market, with the introduction of three smartphones, a smartwatch and a smart mini-projector. Let’s take a look at what went on!

Doogee Malaysia

Doogee (pronounced as doo-ji) started as a Samsung & Moto reseller in 2002, but soon started manufacturing their own smartphones. In 2008, they were the first in the world to launch a dual SIM, dual standby mobile phone – a very common feature today. They were also the first to create a dual-core smartphone in 2012.

Today, Doogee repeats that feat by being the first to create a deca-core smartphone – the Doogee F7 Pro. They also showcased the Doogee T6 smartphone with its massive 6,250 mAh battery, the Doogee Y200 smartphone with its fast fingerprint sensor, the Doogee S1 smartwatch with a side camera, and the Doogee Smart Cube P1 mini-projector.

In this video, Feddy Ong, Sales & Marketing Manager of Doogee Malaysia explains what Doogee means, and the new Doogee products being launched in Malaysia. Catch Erin Tian, General Manager of Doogee Southeast Asia, who finished it off with a presentation of their flagship product – the deca-core Doogee F7 Pro!

Doogee F7 Pro 10-Core Smartphone Revealed

Doogee F7 Pro – World’s First Deca-Core Smartphone

The Doogee F7 Pro is officially the world’s first deca-core smartphone. That’s 10 processing cores courtesy of the MediaTek Helio X20 processor it uses. Mated with 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage, this is arguably the world’s most powerful smartphone.

The Doogee F7 Pro features a 5.7″ IGZO display with a full HD resolution of 1080 x 1920. The display has slim bezels on the side, with 2.5D curved glass protecting it. As befits a premium smartphone, the Doogee F7 Pro features a 21 MP camera with a Sony IMX230 image sensor, which features image plane phase detected autofocus capability. This allows for very fast tracking of fast-moving objects.

To power all that, the Doogee F7 Pro has a large 4,000 mAh battery and comes with a USB-C port for faster charging and data transfers.

Doogee T6 Smartphone Revealed

Doogee T6 Smartphone

The Doogee T6 is a 5.5″ smartphone with a super-long battery life, thanks to its 6,250 mAh battery! In many aspects, it is very similar to the Doogee Y200.

It has the same 5.5″ IPS display with a resolution of 720 x 1280, and comes with an 8 MP rear camera. The Doogee T6 is also powered by the same quad-core MediaTek MT6735 processor and runs on Android 5.1 with 2 GB of RAM.

Beyond that, the Doogee T6 trades the fingerprint sensor, the 5 MP front camera and half the storage capacity for a dual-tone flash to support its rear camera and a much larger 6,250 mAh battery. This allows it to take better flash photography and even serve as a power bank for other devices.

Again, Doogee quotes both cameras as having higher resolutions of 13 MP and 5 MP respectively. However, that is because they perform software extrapolation to achieve those resolutions (by default). Their true resolutions are 8 MP and 2 MP respectively.

The Doogee T6 smartphone is available in either White or Black colours, and is now available for sale on GEMFIVE with the retail price of RM 599 / ~US$ 149.

The S1 is Doogee’s first attempt at a smartwatch. It checks off all of the key smartwatch features – dust and water-resistance, heart rate monitor, sports assist software, and the ability to change watch faces and install additional apps.
