Dell revealed four new Inspiron laptops – the 2018 Inspiron 5000, the 2018 Inspiron 5000 2-in-1, the 2018 Inspiron 13 7000, and the 2018 Inspiron 13 7000 2-in-1. Dell’s Christopher Choong explains their new features :
The 2018 Inspiron 13 7000 (7380) Laptop
The new 2018 Inspiron 13 7000 (7380) laptop runs on the latest 8th Gen Intel Core quad-core processor, with Intel HD Graphics. It boasts narrow display bezels and is available in Platinum Silver and Pink Champagne.
Designed for movie enthusiasts in mind, it comes equipped with CinemaColor, CinemaStream as well as CinemaSound technologies that deliver the best possible viewing experience.
The 2018 Inspiron 13 7000 (7386) 2-in-1 Laptop
The new Inspiron 13 7000 2-in-1 (7386) laptop combines a brushed aluminium exterior with a smooth and sleek design. It is a 13-inch convertible laptop runs on the latest 8th Generation Intel U-Series processors, with optional 4K UHD display and fingerprint scanner.
It also features improved thermal flow to move hot air out through hidden vents, ensuring high performance with a comfortable experience during extended computing sessions.
The new Inspiron 13 7000 2-in-1 narrower bezels, thanks to a new 2.7mm miniaturised webcam that offers greater performance in low light with Temporal Noise Reduction – the first PC-integrated USB camera to use this technology. This 2-in-1 laptop is also Alexa-ready so you can easily create lists, set reminders, ask for the weather, play music, manage appointments and more – all with your voice.
The 2018 Inspiron 14 5000 (5480) Laptop
The new 2018 Inspiron 14 5000 (5480) laptop is available in Platinum Silver, with narrow bezels for a more stylish look. It comes with a USB Type C port for power delivery and display support, as well as a regular power port.
The new Inspiron 14 5000 laptop runs on the latest 8th Generation Intel Core processors, with up to 32 GB of DDR4 memory, and storage options including SSDs and dual drives. It can also be equipped with discrete graphics up to the NVIDIA GeForce MX150, an optional backlit keyboard, and an optional fingerprint reader.
The 2018 Inspiron 14 5000 (5482) 2-in-1 Laptop
The 2018 Inspiron 14 5000 2-in-1 (5482) boasts many of the top-of-the-line enhancements of the 7000 series, including thermal routing and narrow bezels. It runs on the latest 8th Generation Intel U Series processors, and comes with a USB Type-C port for power delivery and display support. It can be equipped with optional NVIDIA GeForce MX130 discrete graphics.
New Dell G-Series 24-inch and 27-inch Gaming Monitors
Dell also enhanced their gaming monitor portfolio with the 24-inch Dell S2419HGF FHD monitor, and the 27-inch Dell S2719DGF QHD monitor. They both feature fast overclocked refresh rates (144 Hz for 24-inch, 155 Hz for 27-inch), and an extremely rapid 1 ms response time for gameplay with minimum input lag. They both support AMD FreeSync as well for tear-free gaming.
