The mesmerizing wireless speaker hovers in place over the accompanying Levitation Station to deliver high-quality audio while making quite an impression with its eye-catching design. In addition to its striking looks, the versatile speaker gives users the ability to seamlessly play music, podcasts and other audio content in the home as well as outdoors.
Levitating Portable Speaker PJ9
The PJ9 creates its stunning visual effect using powerful electromagnets housed inside the Levitation Station to give the speaker its unique trait of being untouched by any surface or wires when playing. At the core is a 360-degree omnidirectional speaker with turbine blade-inspired design and deep bass courtesy of the subwoofer embedded inside the Levitation Station. LG deep learning will allow smart home appliances to better understand their users by gathering and studying customers’ lifestyle patterns over time. This process never ends and improves over time to provide customers with new solutions to everyday problems.
Robot Cleaner: Improved Performance Through Memory
Using multiple sensors and LG deep learning technology, LG’s newest robot vacuum cleaner will recognize objects around the room and react accordingly. By capturing surface images of the room, the intelligent cleaner remembers obstacles and learns to avoid them over time. It even recognizes electrical wires and slippers so they don’t end up jamming the roller brush and requiring human extraction assistance. LG robot vacuum can tell the difference between a human and a chair and asks the obstructing person to kindly move out of the way whereas it will simply maneuver around a chair.
Refrigerator: Smarter Convenience
LG deep learning is also enhancing the convenience LG’s smart refrigerator brings to consumers. By analyzing usage and eating patterns, LG’s deep learning refrigerator performs a variety of tasks by “predicting” the family’s activities based on their past behavior, such as automatically filling the ice tray at the time of the day when cold drinks are most in demand. In the summer, LG’s smart refrigerator can initiate the 4-stage sterilization system on its own to extend food life when it senses temperature and humidity conditions that may contribute to food spoilage.
Air Conditioner: Even Better Energy Saving And Performance
LG’s smart air conditioner equipped with LG deep learning technology analyzes the daily behavior patterns of its homeowners, including the parts of the home most occupied at certain times throughout the day. With this information, LG’s deep learning enabled air conditioner is able to assess how to provide the most comfortable temperatures quickly and efficiently, providing fast cooling to specific areas. During the weekend the living room may be the place to be, requiring the most cooling, but on weekdays the kitchen may be the center of activity.
Washing Machine: Optimal Performance In Any Situation

The new technology helps LG’s washing machine learn about the local environment and the user’s everyday activities in order to provide the optimal washing performance. For example, in areas where the water contains excessive calcium carbonate, LG’s smart washing machine adjusts the water temperature and the amount of water used to counter the effects of hard water on clothes. In areas where dust storms are common, the washing machine automatically adds another rinse cycle for even cleaner clothes.
“Deep learning technology is the next phase in the evolution of smart appliances, and as an industry leader, we have the responsibility of being an early mover,” said Song Dae-hyun, president of LG Electronics and Home Appliance & Air Solutions Company. “But even more important than the advanced capabilities of these appliances will be how companies behave when entrusted with data of this nature. 28 December 2016 — Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. today announced its newest lineup of user-driven home audio visual products, including the Samsung H7 Wireless Speaker, a new Samsung MS750 Soundbar and a new Samsung M9500 UHD Blu-ray Player.
With over ten consecutive years of market leadership in home audio and video technology, and with active investments in R&D, Samsung’s new home audio and video product lineup for 2017 features innovative devices that reflect a total paradigm shift for both the company and the industry. In particular, the new lineup centers around sleek, simplistic designs and enhanced integration across multiple devices.
Highlighted across Samsung’s new lineup is UHQ (Ultra High Quality) audio – Samsung’s proprietary technology that enables 32bits of rich, detailed sound from any source that provides 8 to 24bit sound.
UHQ audio has the ability to upscale audio sources to a 32bit output, for both wired and wireless connections. 32bit sound creates audio which is much closer in quality to the original recording than existing HD audio, delivering rich sound that brings each note to life with incredible clarity.

This effect works well on a woofer, which tends to output a powerful low-pitched sound with a movement bigger and more unpredictable than other speaker units. The ‘Distortion Cancelling’ algorithm can intelligently predict a woofer’s movement, control it, and play more solid and stable sounds at a low pitch.
Samsung’s new sound profile also includes a ‘Wide-band Tweeter’, which expands and broadens the “sweet spot” in any room, widening the area where optimal sound can be heard. The new profile also includes a ‘Crystal Amplifier’ that removes noise so consumers can enjoy the most accurate and precise sound across the widest range.

As AMD gears up to launch the AMD Ryzen desktop processor in early Q1 2017, Intel has finalised the launch plans for their desktop Kaby Lake processors, and the accompanying 200 Series chipsets.

It’s All Happening At CES 2017!
We can now confirm that Intel will announce the desktop Kaby Lake processors and Intel 200 Series chipsets on January 4 at CES 2017. The news conference will be held from 4:00 to 4:45 PM at the Mandalay Bay Ballroom E, but the media NDA is set to 1 AM, Pacific Standard Time on January 5, 2017.
The 8-hour delay allows the media in the rest of the world to catch up and prepare their stories for publication. So officially, the launch date for the desktop Kaby Lake processors, as well as the Intel 200 Series chipsets, is January 5, 2017.
