Chinese outrage + drama at 2024 Paris Olympics fact checked!

Are the Chinese warranted in their outrage and constant drama at the 2024 Paris Olympics?! Take a look at the viral claims, and find out what the facts really are!

Should the Chinese be outraged at 2024 Paris Olympics?!

Many Chinese citizens and netizens worldwide are outraged at what they believe were genuine insults and examples of Sinophobia and blatant racism at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

The Chinese swimmers, in particular, were under heavy scrutiny and testing, which many Chinese netizens felt were excessive, while other people felt were justified. After all, 23 Chinese swimmers tested positive for trimetazidine (TMZ) before the Tokyo Olympics, and some of them later tested positive for clenbuterol.

In this article, we will go through the viral claims and videos, and find out if their outrage and constant drama at the 2024 Paris Olympics are warranted, or not.

Chinese outrage + drama at 2024 Paris Olympics fact checked!

Claim : Kyle Chalmers + Jack Alexey disrespected Pan Zhanle
Verdict : Unlikely

Right after he smashed the men’s 100m freestyle world record, Pan Zhanle told Chinese media outlet CCTV (China Central Television) that he was motivated to beat Chalmers and Alexy after they disrespected him:

Unfortunately, no one else could verify Pan’s claims. Not even the Chinese coaches spoke up about the “grave insult” of being splashed by Jack Alexy while standing at the pool side. There is also the inconvenient fact that people standing by the pool side, can and do, get splashed whenever a swimmer does a flip turn…

On top of that, Kyle Chalmers was seen congratulating Pan Zhanle for winning the gold medal, after beating him by a full second. Chalmers even defended Pan against doping concerns. You can read more about this drama in our earlier fact check article.

Claim : Western media tried to give Pan Zhanle drugged water
Verdict : False

Chinese netizens are sharing a Douyin video, or its screenshot, which claims that a “Western media person” tried to sabotage Pan Zhanle by offering him water containing drugs after he won the gold medal. That is a completely fabricated story.

If that actually happened, it would have been reported widely and investigated as a crime. It would also have been severely criticised by China, and the Chinese media outlets.

However, there has been no official complaint, and neither Pan Zhanle nor the Chinese Olympics contingent ever claimed that there was an attempt to sabotage his win by giving him water containing drugs. There was also no report of such a crime by the IOC, the French police, or the mainstream media.

Claim : Leon Marchand refused to shake hands with Chinese coach
Verdict : Just a misunderstanding

This video has gone viral on social media, with many netizens (not just Chinese) criticising French swimmer Leon Marchand for refusing to shake the hand of Chinese swimming coach, Zhu Zhigen.

According to Beijing Youth Daily reporter, Song Xiang (source), Leon Marchand apologised to the Chinese swimming team. He explained that he wasn’t fully paying attention, and thought that Coach Zhu Zhigen was just helping him with the rope. He didn’t realise that the coach was offering a handshake, as he was bending down to slip under the retractable stanchion.

According to Chinese journalist Li Jingling (archive), Leon Marchand apologised twice to the Chinese swimming team, and personally apologised to Zhu Zhigen, saying that he didn’t mean to neglect the coach. Both men hugged and exchanged gifts. So it appears that, while Leon Marchand did indeed ignore the Chinese coach’s handshake as seen in the viral video, it was just a misunderstanding.

Claim : British women divers refused to acknowledge Chinese rivals
Verdict : False

This video clip has gone viral on Chinese social media, and in certain Chinese diaspora groups, claiming to show how British women divers discriminate against their Chinese rivals, by ignoring them and hugging the North Korean women instead.

The truth is the Chinese and British divers had already finished their dives earlier, and were waiting for the North Korean women to finish theirs. Any congratulations (or hugs) between the British and Chinese women would have happened before the North Korean women dived.

After the North Korean women finished their dives, the results were announced – they won the silver medal – their country’s first diving medal ever. That was why the British women went over to hug them. It was a historic moment.

Unfortunately, I was unable to locate the full, unedited video, so I cannot “prove” that the British women divers did not “diss” the Chinese women divers. However, I can prove that there is no animosity between the British and Chinese women divers. In fact, Andrea Spendolini-Sirieix and Quan Hongchan have a history of hugging each other!

It appears that, being petite, Quan Hongchan enjoys hugging and being carried like that. That could explain why she had her partner, Chen Yuxi, hug her the same way in that viral video. In fact, Chen Yuxi actually continued hugging her and carrying her out of the pool area!

Claim : Western reporter intentionally knocked into Chinese athlete
Verdict : False

This video has also gone viral, with people claiming that it shows a Western reporter intentionally bumping Chinese table tennis champion Wang Chuqin in a racist attack.

The foreign reporter deliberately bumped into our athletes. Look at the reporter’s face. He deliberately bumped into Wang Chuqin. Do you know how difficult it is for our athletes now? This is the racism in the bones of Westerners.

The woman was not a reporter. She was a Swedish photographer, which can be confirmed by her grey vest that says “PHOTO 1717”. She can also be seen lugging two large and heavy cameras – one with a long monopod attached, and the other held up to her face.

Two different videos with alternate angles show that the female photographer was swerving to avoid two men coming from the front. They also show that she was looking through the viewfinder of her camera, which was pointed to the left, when she bumped into Chinese table tennis star, Wang Chuqin.

The videos also showed that the photographer was startled when she bumped into Wang Chuqin, and quickly said “Oh, sorry” before swerving away and continuing on her way. Clearly, it was all just an accident, and it was not a racist attack on a Chinese athlete by a Western reporter.

Imane Khelif is 1 of 2 male boxers fighting women at the Olympics. A woman is going to die.

Libs of TikTok : Meet Imane Khelif, a boxer who was banned from the Women’s World Box Championships in 2023 because he is a man.

However, Khelif is being allowed to compete in women’s Olympic boxing in Paris. Just another reason to boycott the Olympics.

Megyn Kelly : It happened AGAIN. Biological males are being allowed in women’s sport – in BOXING at the Olympics – & it is grossly unfair and unsafe.

The athletes in question (from Algeria and Taiwan) are MALE. They have XY chromosomes. No uterus. Male testes. Male puberty. Male testosterone, muscle and bone growth and advantage. They were banned from the world championships last year bc they are male. Just bc their passports say female or they were raised as female does not make it so.

The IOC is responsible for endangering their female opponents and the rest of us are complicit if we remain silent.

Truth : Imane Khelif was born female, and is not transgender!

This is yet another example of fake news circulating on social media, and here are the reasons why…

Fact #1 : Imane Khelif is not transgender

Let me start by simply pointing out that Imane Khelif is a woman, and is not transgender. Neither does she identify as intersex.

Khelif reportedly has a variation in her sex traits, also known as differences of sexual development (DSDs). People with DSDs have genitalia, reproductive organs, and sexual characteristics that are “mismatched” with their genetics.

For example, someone with DSD may have male XY chromosomes, but have female characteristics, and even female genitals. On the other hand, a person with DSD may be born with female XX chromosomes and a penis.

Regardless of whether Imane Khelif should be considered male or female for the purpose of any competition, she is most definitely not a transgender woman, which is defined as someone who was born male, but transitions into a woman later in life. That is certainly not the case with Khelif.

As Mark Adams, chief spokesperson for the IOC said on Friday, August 2, “This is not a transgender case. There has been some confusion that somehow it’s a man fighting a woman. This is just not the case, scientifically.”

Fact #2 : Imane Khelif was born female

Mark Adams also pointed out that Imane Khelif was born female, was registered as a female, and lived her life as a female:

The Algerian boxer was born female, was registered female, lived her life as a female, boxed as a female, has a female passport.

The question you have to ask yourself is, are these athletes women? The answer is yes, according to their eligibility, their passport, their history.

In fact, her childhood photos show that Imane Khelif was brought up as female.

I should also point out that none of those who accused her of being born male (and not a female with differences of sexual development), ever provided any evidence.

Fact #3 : Imane Khelif was tested + competed as a woman for many years

This controversy erupted during the 2024 Paris Olympics when Italy’s Angela Carini stopped fighting against Imane Khelif after 46 seconds on Thursday, 1 August 2024. Carini told reporters after the match that, “a punch hurt too much, and so I said enough“.

That ignited a firestorm of accusations of bias, as well as misinformation, over Khelif’s eligibility to compete as a woman, together with Taiwan’s Lin Yu-ting, because they were both disqualified from the International Boxing Association’s 2023 world championships because they allegedly have XY chromosomes.

However, both Imane Khelif and Lin Yu-ting were tested and have competed as women for many years, as the International Olympic Committee pointed out in its statement. To date, the IBA has not released the 2022 or 2023 test results.

Fact #4 : Imane Khelif won silver in 2022 IBA World Championships

In fact, Khelif actually won the silver medal in the 2022 IBA World Championships, after undergoing tests and meeting its eligibility requirements

On top of that, both Imane Khelif and Lin Yu-ting were allowed to compete in the 2023 IBA World Championships, after the IBA chose not to disqualify them in 2022 based on the same results (source: IBA minutes).

Mr. Yerolimpos confirmed that similar testing was conducted by a different independent laboratory with the same athletes at the previous edition of the IBA Women’s World Boxing Championships in Istanbul, Turkey in 2022. However, the results were received only upon conclusion of the event, hence the athletes were not disqualified back then.

Even though the IBA had apparently decided that the 2022 test results should disqualify Imane Khelif and Lin Yu-ting, they were both allowed to participate in the 2023 world championships. They were not disqualified until Khelif defeated Azalia Amineva – a previous unbeaten Russian boxer.

According to IBA’s own minutes, the decision to disqualify Imane Khelif and Lin Yu-ting was initially taken solely by the IBA Secretary General and CEO, with the board only ratifying it after the fact.

Fact #5 : Angela Carini apologised to Imane Khelif

Many people have claimed or suggested that Angela Carini was upset at fighting a biological male, because she ignored Imane Khelif’s attempt to shake her hand at the end of the match. That’s not true, as she explained.

Carini told Italian media on Friday, 2 August, that she would like to apologise to Imane Khelif for not shaking her hand after the match, and give her a hug. She also said the controversy made her sad.

All the controversy made me sad and I’m sorry for my opponent too. It’s nothing to do with her. She was here like me to fight. It wasn’t on purpose, and I apologise to her and everyone.

I was angry because my Olympics had just gone up in smoke but I’ve nothing against Imane Khelif. On the contrary, if I saw her again, I’d give her a hug.

If Angela Carini herself is not upset at losing to Imane Khelif, why should anyone else be upset “on her behalf”?

Truth : Kamala Harris Described Herself As Woman Wearing Blue Suit To Visually Disabled!

This is yet another example of fake news about Kamala Harris, and here are the reasons why…

Fact #1 : Video Was From July 2022

Let me start by pointing out that this video is genuine, but it isn’t new. The video is actually two years old, being recorded at the White House on July 26, 2022.

This is important because many people are sharing and mocking this video now in July 2024, right after President Joe Biden ended his re-election campaign, and endorsed Kamala Harris instead.

Fact #2 : Kamala Harris Was Describing Herself To Visually Disabled People

While the video was not digitally-altered, and does indeed show Vice President Kamala Harris describing herself as a woman sitting at the table, wearing a blue suit, she was actually doing that for the benefit of visually disabled people at the meeting.

That video was recorded at a roundtable that Kamala Harris hosted with disability rights leaders to discuss access to reproductive healthcare, on the 32nd anniversary of the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

As Sara Luterman, a 19th News journalist who attended the meeting, pointed out – Kamala Harris did so because some of those participants are blind / visually impaired. Luterman herself is partially blind.

This was at a meeting with disability rights leaders earlier today. VP Harris is describing what she is wearing because some of those leaders are blind.

Will those who mocked Kamala Harris now apologise for their crass remarks? One can only hope…

Fact #3 : Self-Description Is Common Practice With Visually Impaired People

According to the Missouri School for the Blind, it is actually best practice to self-describe yourself to visually impaired people:

Introduce yourself using your name and/or position, especially if you are wearing a name badge containing this information.

Be precise and thorough when you describe people, places or things. Don’t leave things out or change a description because you think it is unimportant or unpleasant.

Feel free to use visually descriptive language. Making reference to colors, patterns, designs, and shapes is perfectly acceptable.

Instead of mocking Kamala Harris for describing herself to visually impaired people at the meeting, we should applaud her for doing so.

Fact #4 : Biden Admin Implemented Gender-Neutral Pronouns In 2021

While some are mocking Kamala Harris for describing her pronouns, this isn’t new. Neither is this use of pronouns something that only she does.

Within 24 hours of President Joe Biden’s inauguration in January 2021, the White House released a new contact form, in which allows users to select their pronounces of choice.

In other words, Kamala Harris is describing her gender and pronouns to visually impaired people at the roundtable, in line with the Biden Administration’s policy on gender inclusivity.

Thus, Kamala must step aside for another candidate who is actually a natural born citizen.

Circulating with a copy of her birth certificate : Unless proven with court documents, at the time of Kamala’s birth, her parents were not U.S. citizens. They were foreign students. At the time of her birth, she was the daughter of non-citizens. This makes her an anchor baby. She is not eligible to hold the office of President.

Truth : Kamala Harris Is Eligible To Become US President!

This is yet another example of fake news about Kamala Harris, and here are the reasons why…

Fact #1 : Kamala Harris Is A “Natural Born Citizen”

Let me start by simply pointing out that no matter how many times people claim otherwise, Kamala Harris is a “natural born citizen” of the United States of America, by birthright, and can run for public office (including the Presidency) because she has resided in the United States for the past 14 years.

The United States provides for citizenship by birth, regardless of the citizenship of the parents – a principle called jus soli. Therefore, children of legal or illegal immigrants who were born in the United States are U.S. citizens by the virtue of being born on US soil (PDF).

In addition, U.S. v. Wong Kim Ark (1898) reaffirmed that people born in the United States are indeed natural-born citizens, regardless of their parents’ citizenship.

Fact #2 : Kamala Harris Meets All Requirements Under US Constitution

According to the Twelfth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, Article II, Section 1, Clause 5 specifically lists the three requirements for persons who intend to run for the Presidency:

They should be natural born U.S. citizens (she is)
They should be at least 35 years old (she is 59 years old)
They should have resided in the U.S. for at least 14 years (she has)

No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.

As Kamala Harris has met all three requirements under the U.S. Constitution, she is fully-qualified to become President of the United States.

Fact #3 : Kamala Harris Is US Vice President

The John Eastman opinion piece (archive), which questioned Kamala Harris’ eligibility isn’t recent. He wrote it back in August 2020, to suggest that Harris might not be eligible to become Vice President.

His opinion was heavily criticised and mocked by many legal scholars, and soundly debunked by Professor Eugene Volokh of the UCLA School of Law.

In any case, John Eastman’s personal opinion did not amount to anything more than an embarrassing side note in the dusty annals of political history, when Kamala Harris became the 49th Vice President of the United States. That would not be possible if she did not meet those requirements under the U.S. Constitution.

As the requirements to serve as the U.S. Vice President is the same as that of the President, there is absolutely no reason for Vice President Kamala Harris to become President. Digging up an old, debunked opinion piece from 2020 will not change that fact.

Fact #4 : This Is Fake News About 2024 Presidential Election

Germany has introduced a new law that requires new citizens to swear allegiance and declare their belief in Israel’s right to exist.

It’s very strange for a sovereign nation to require citizens to pledge allegiance to a foreign country, yet Germany did just that in a bizarre move that shows where Western governments’ loyalty really falls.

The unprecedented and controversial legislation, which came into force last week, has also been criticized over its implications for free speech and political expression.

Germany’s new citizenship law echoes draconian steps in the US where as many as 35 states have enacted laws or executive orders that prohibit state agencies from contracting with or investing in companies that boycott Israel. Truth : New German citizens do not pledge allegiance to Israel!

Fact #1 : New German citizens do not pledge allegiance to Israel!

First, let me just point out that Germany does not require new citizens to pledge allegiance to Israel. That’s just silly.

If Germany ever implemented such a controversial law, it would have been widely reported by the mainstream media. Yet, that never happened because it was all made up.

Unsurprisingly, The People’s Voice article provided no evidence to back up its “fact checked” claims.

Fact #2 : New German citizenship law forbids anti-semitism

If you read this summary of the new German citizenship law, you will see that it does not require new citizens to pledge allegiance to Israel. In fact, Israel does not seem to be mentioned in the law at all!

Rather, it excludes those who profess or practice “anti-Semitism, racism, and other forms of disrespect for human beings” from acquiring German citizenship.

The requirement of having adapted to the living environment in Germany is to be replaced with specific grounds for exclusion. Reasons for exclusion from naturalisation include polygamy and disregard for gender equality.

It is clearly established that anti-Semitism, racism and other forms of disrespect for human beings are incompatible with the guarantee of human dignity enshrined in the Basic Law, and are grounds for exclusion from the option to acquire citizenship.

Now, why would anyone want to grant citizenship to people who profess or practice “anti-Semitism, racism, and other forms of disrespect for human beings“???

The People’s Voice is the current name for NewsPunch, which possibly changed its name because its brand has been so thoroughly discredited after posting numerous shocking but fake stories.

Fact #1 : David Upchurch Never Said Michelle Obama Was A Man!

Let me start by pointing out that David Upchurch never said that Michelle Obama was a man!

If that actually happened, it would have been reported by the media, and celebrity blogs, all over the world! Obviously, that did not happen, because David Upchurch never made such a ridiculous claim.

Unsurprisingly – none of those who made the ridiculous claim actually provided any evidence David Upchurch ever said that Michelle Obama was really born a man called Michael Robinson!

Fact #2 : David Upchurch Only Referred To Michell Obama As Female

In March 2009, David Upchurch told The Daily Mail about being Michelle Obama’s first love, and escorting her to prom.

He was not only her neighbour, he attended the same Whitney M Young High School in Chicago, Illinois, and had been going out with Michelle Robinson (her maiden name) for almost 1.5 years before taking her to prom.

I grew up with Michelle and her brother Craig. We were neighbours, and our families were close.

When Michelle was in the middle of her junior year, we began dating and continued to date for a year-and-a-half.

David Upchurch only referred to Michelle Obama as “she”, “her”, and “Michelle”, and never claimed she was a man called Michael Robinson.

I wished the best for Michelle because she has always been a wonderful person. I always knew Michelle was special and would make a difference in the world.

I cannot tell you how proud I am of her and her husband. I have never met Barack, but I have to say, he is a very lucky man.

Why would anyone claim that he ever said that Michelle Obama was really a man called Michael Robinson???

Fact #3 : Michelle Obama Gave Birth To Two Girls

Claims that Michelle Obama was born a man called Michael is not only false, it’s ridiculous because she gave birth to two girls – Malia Obama and Sasha Obama.

In November 2018, Michelle Obama even opened up about her experience with infertility, revealing that she suffered a miscarriage early in their marriage. Eventually she and former President Barack Obama resorted to in-vitro fertilisation (IVF) to conceive Malia and Sasha.

For those who are wondering – transgender women cannot give birth, or suffer miscarriages, as they were born men, and lack both ovaries and uterus. And no, Malia and Sasha Obama were not adopted!

Fact #4 : Michelle Obama Was Female All Her Life

Even if you ignore the fact that she gave birth to two girls, Michelle Obama grew up as a female. Her family and friends only knew her as a girl and then, a woman. Never as a boy or a man who later became transgender.

Michelle Obama sometimes shares photos of her childhood on her Instagram account. They are all proof that she grew up as a girl, never as a boy. On the other hand, all these claims that she was born a boy called Michael Robinson has never been backed by any evidence.

This appears to be yet another example of fake news circulating on X (formerly Twitter), and here are the reasons why…

Fact #1 : Michelle Obama Did Not Announce Running For President

Let me start by simply pointing out that Michelle Obama did not announce that she’s running for President in the 2024 Presidential election.

If she did, it would have been reported worldwide by the media. Yet that never happened, because Michelle Obama never announced she would be running for President in 2024.

There was also no official announcement or statement, and she did not post about it on her social media. So why should you trust some post on social media?

Fact #2 : They Were Posted On April 1

I should also point out that the video and original tweets were posted on 1 April 2024 – April Fool’s Day.

It is highly likely that they were posted as satire, or to troll people on April Fool’s Day for engagement (and $$$).

Fact #3 : Photo Was From February 2020

The video does not actually show Michelle Obama announcing her candidacy in the 2024 Presidential election with Oprah.

Instead, it uses a still image from Oprah’s 2020 Vision event in February 2020, where Michelle Obama spoke about body positivity.

Fact #4 : Audio Was Edited

The audio used in the video was most definitely edited to make it sound like Michelle Obama admitted that she is really a man, and would be running for President as a male.

The actual video can be seen here, with the full transcript here. If you watch the video, or read the transcript, you will see that Michelle Obama never once mention that Barack Obama legalised same-sex marriage in the United States, or that she would be running for President as a male.

Fact #5 : Michelle Obama Was Born Female

Far-right conservatives and conspiracists have often claimed that Michelle Obama is a transgender woman, who was really born as a man. However, that’s simply not true, and they have had to resort to editing photos of her.

The truth is Michelle Obama was born as a girl, and even gave birth to two girls. Transgender women cannot give birth, or suffer miscarriages, as they were born men, and lack both ovaries and uterus.

Fact #5 : Barack Obama Did Not Legalise Same-Sex Marriage

Even though both Barack and Michelle Obama have voiced their support for same-sex marriage, Barack Obama did not legalise same-sex marriage while he was President of the United States.

For one thing – the recognition of marriage was left to the states to decide prior to the 1996 Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA). By 2015, same-sex marriage was already permitted in 36 states in the United States, as well as the District of Columbia, and Guam.

But it was the US Supreme Court ruling in Obergefell v. Hodges that the fundamental right to marry is guaranteed to same-sex couples, requiring all states and territories in the United States of America to perform and recognise same-sex marriages.

In short – it was the US Supreme Court ruling in June 2015 that legalised same-sex marriage across the United States of America, not then-President Barack Obama.

Fact #6 : Michelle Obama Ruled Out Presidency Bid

Despite her popularity, Michelle Obama has consistently ruled out running for the US Presidency. In fact, on 5 March 2024, the former First Lady’s office told NBC News that she does not intend to run for President:

As former First Lady Michelle Obama has expressed several times over the years, she will not be running for president.

Mrs. Obama supports President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris’ re-election campaign.

Fact #1 : Joe Biden Did Not Cancel Easter In The United States

This is silly, but let me just point out that US President Joe Biden did not cancel Easter in the United States.

In fact, President Biden and First Lady Jill Biden are hosting the 2024 White House Easter Egg Roll on Easter Monday, 1 April 2024 – a tradition that dates back to 1878.

The theme this year is “EGGucation” as announced by the White House on March 28, 2024:

Today, the White House announced the full program of activities for the 2024 White House Easter Egg Roll, a tradition dating back to 1878. A teacher for more than 30 years, First Lady Jill Biden is continuing her theme of “EGGucation” for the event, transforming the South Lawn and Ellipse into a school community, full of fun educational activities for children of all ages to enjoy.

In addition to the time-honored traditions of rolling and hunting eggs, this year’s White House Easter “EGGucation” Roll will also feature a School House Activity Area, Reading Nook, Field Trip to the Farm, Picture Day, a Physical “EGGucation” Zone, a Snack Time Tent and more. The South Façade of the White House will be adorned with balloons, marked with STEAM school subjects, a nod to Dr. Biden’s belief that with EGGucation, “all students can soar.”

Unsurprisingly, none of those making this ridiculous claim actually provided any evidence that the Biden Administration cancelled Easter in the United States.

Fact #2 : Joe Biden / Democrats Did Not Create Transgender Day!

Instead of providing evidence that Joe Biden actually cancelled Easter, these conspiracists share screenshots of Joe Biden’s 2024 Proclamation on Transgender Day of Visibility. #eyeroll

Joe Biden is the first American president to issue a formal proclamation. However, neither Joe Biden, nor the Democrats, created the Transgender Day of Visibility!

The International Transgender Day of Visibility is an annual event that occurs on every March 31, since it started in 2009. It was created by transgender activist Rachel Crandall of Michigan, not Joe Biden, or the Democratic Party.

Fact #3 : Easter Occurs On Different Day Every Year!

Unlike the Transgender Day of Visibility, Easter is not celebrated on a fixed date. Instead, Easter falls on a Sunday between 22 March and 25 April, after the astronomical full moon.

Only in 2024 does Easter coincide with Transgender Day of Visibility – on March 31, 2024. However, that does not mean Transgender Day of Visibility is cancelling out Easter.

These people do not appear to understand that two (or more) celebrations can occur on the same day. Either that, or they think you are really easy to fool…

Fact #4 : Joe Biden Issued Similar Proclamation In Past Years

I should also point out that President Biden first proclaimed March 31 as a Transgender Day of Visibility in 2021, and did so in 2022 and 2023 as well. He did not intentionally declare 31 March 2024 as the Transgender Day of Visibility to mock Christians.

This isn’t something new or exceptional for Joe Biden. He has issued a proclamation for every Transgender Day of Visibility every year of his presidency. If Easter did not get cancelled in 2021, 2022, and 2023, his 2024 proclamation certainly wouldn’t cancel Easter either!

Fact #5 : Joe Biden Celebrated Easter In Previous Years

Finally, I should point out that Joe Biden is a devout Catholic, and has been celebrating Easter every year, so he would never mock Easter as many people are claiming.

We also know that both President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden hosted the White House Easter Egg Roll the past two years – in 2022, and 2023. They only skipped it in 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

If the Bidens have been celebrating Easter in the past, why would anyone falsely claim that they are cancelling Easter this year??? Isn’t lying a sin in Christianity???

Fact #6 : This Is Just Joe Biden Fake News

People are sharing an article (archive) by The People’s Voice (formerly NewsPunch), which claims or suggests that the EU just legalised child porn as part of the WEF agenda to normalise pedophilia!

EU Legalizes Child Porn As WEF Agenda To Normalize Pedophilia Accelerates

Germany has decriminalized bestiality and child pornography, Spain now encourages pedophiles to parade their naked victims around the streets, and France does not have an age of consent law anymore.

That’s right – Europe has fallen under the influence of Klaus Schwab’s World Economic Forum and the shameless campaign to normalize pedophilia and other perversions in the western world.

According to Schwab, the EU’s push to normalize pedophilia and legalize sexual relations with children must now be adopted with the same enthusiasm in the US.

Possession and distribution of child pornography is no longer a crime in Germany, after the Federal cabinet voted to change the criminal law provisions regarding child sexual abuse material.

Pedophiles found in possession of child pornography will now be charged with misdemeanors, rather than crimes, meaning they will not face prison time for their crimes against children, as the normalization of pedophilia continues to pick up speed in the Western world.

German news outlet Tagesschau reported on the sickening news, explaining that lawmakers downgraded possession of child porn to a misdemeanor in part because there are too many pedophiles to send to prison.

You can be sure that was music to Klaus Schwab’s ears. The WEF co-founder declared the change in law a small step for Germany, but a giant leap for mankind. But the good news for the Davos crowd this week did not end there.

In Spain, another EU country, pedophiles are now being openly embraced by sections of the far-left population who are encouraging men in relationships with extremely young girls to parade their victims in the street – all in the name of tolerance and diversity.

The footage, taken at an annual carnival in Torrevieja, shows the so called ‘Osadía troupe’ marching with several naked children.

Fact #1 : Child Pornography Is Still Illegal In Germany

The People’s Voice article claimed or suggested that Germany has decriminalised bestiality and child pornography. That’s utter nonsense.

Bestiality and the possession or distribution of child porn remain crimes in Germany.

Fact #2 : Klaus Schwab Did Not Call To Normalise Pedophilia

The People’s Voice article claimed or suggested that Klaus Schwab called for the US to adopt the EU’s push to normalise pedophilia. That’s also nonsense.

Not only did the EU not push to normalise pedophilia, Klaus Schwab never called for the US to normalise pedophilia. The People’s Voice article provided no evidence to back up its claim.

Fact #3 : WEF Screenshot Is Fake

The cover image used by The People’s Voice article has a screenshot which purportedly shows the World Economic Forum (WEF) posting on X (formerly Twitter) that:

Minor-Attracted People deserve equal rights.

That is most definitely a fake screenshot, because there is no such post on X by the World Economic Forum. Yet again, The People’s Voice article provided no evidence that such a post ever existed.

Fact #4 : Germany Partially Reversed Increased Punishment

In July 2021, Germany actually increased the punishment for distributing child pornography, with a prison sentence of between 1 and 10 years. Previously, those convicted of the crime would face imprisonment of between three months and 5 years.

However, the German government soon realised that the minimum sentence of one year was problematic in practice. It meant that even parents and teachers who forward these child sexual abuse material (CSAM) to the police would face at least one year of prison!

The minimum 1 year sentence also meant the automatic classification as a crime, which means prosecutors and the courts cannot simply stop proceedings, as they would with misdemeanours. They would have to prosecute even people reporting child pornography to the fullest extent of the law!

That led investigators, courts, and even state justice ministers to push for a reduction in the sentencing guidelines.

As such, the German Federal Cabinet voted on Wednesday, 7 February 2024, to reduce the minimum sentence, from one year to six months. This would give prosecutors and the courts greater flexibility to address each claim proportionally.

As German Justice Minister Marco Buschmann explained, the new upper limit of 10 years would stay in place, but there will be a new minimum sentence:

In particular, people who receive such material involuntarily — for example in the context of a WhatsApp parents’ group — risk a minimum sentence of one year. The same also applies in the case of teachers who have discovered child pornographic material on students’ cellphones and have forwarded it to alert the affected parents.

This completely refutes claims by The People’s Voice article that the child pornography is no longer a crime in Germany. Even after this new law is passed with its reduced minimum sentence, it will still have a longer prison time than the original 3 months to 5 year sentencing guidelines.

Fact #5 : German Parliament Has Not Approved The Law

The German Federal Cabinet’s decision to amend the law does not immediately change it, as the The People’s Voice article appears to suggest.

Even though the German government urgently wants to implement the amended law, it has not been approved by the Bundestag – the German parliament. Until the new law is approved, the existing law continues to be in effect.

Fact #6 : The People’s Voice Source Clearly Explained Reasons

The People’s Voice article printed quotes from the German news service, Tagesshau, as “evidence”.

However, the Tagesshau article (machine translation) clearly states that the punishment was only partially reversed, which completely refutes The People’s Voice‘s claim that Germany has decriminalised child pornography.

Cabinet partially reverses increased punishment

The penalties for possession and distribution of child pornography are to be partially weakened. One reason: Until now, parents who forwarded images to highlight grievances also had to be punished.

After criticism from practice, the Federal Cabinet has decided to change some points in the criminal law provisions that came into force in July 2021 on the distribution of depictions of sexual abuse against children. Among other things, according to the draft law, the minimum penalty for disseminating such material will be reduced from one year to six months and for obtaining and possessing it from one year to three months.

Anyone reading even the title can clearly understand that child pornography has not been decriminalised in Germany. Why on Earth would anyone claim otherwise???

Fact #7 : Osadia Troupe Did Not March With Naked Children

The People’s Voice article suggested or claimed that the Osadia Troupe marched with naked children at the annual Torrevieja Carnival in Spain. That’s not true.

The Osadia Troupe featured adult performers in children’s costumes, while children paraded with them.

There is no evidence any of this children participating in the parade were naked, and those making such claims have not provided even a shred of evidence.

Viral videos that claimed or suggested that there were naked children used blurring or pixelation to imply nudity, but that’s simply not true. Even the adults were not naked – they were wearing lingerie.

Fact #8 : Cover Photo Was Taken In New York In 2015

The People’s Voice article used a cover photo of a little boy kissing an adult man at an LGBT parade. That is a most curious choice, as the photo has nothing to do with Germany or Spain, or pedophilia or child pornography.

That photo was taken by Kathy Willens of the Associated Press, on 28 June 2015, during the Heritage Pride March in New York. It shows Rafael Gondim kissing his 5 year-old son Gabriel King, who was being carried by his husband, Courtney King.

Nothing in that photo showed pedophilia, or child pornography. It is also completely unrelated to the Osadia Troupe parade at the 2024 Torrevieja Carnival in Spain.

Fact #9 : The People’s Voice Is Known For Fake News

The People’s Voice is the current name for NewsPunch, which possibly changed its name because its brand has been so thoroughly discredited after posting numerous shocking but fake stories.

Elon Musk just told advertisers on X to “f*ck yourself” for trying to blackmail him!

Advertisers Fleeing X After Elon Musk Controversy

Major advertisers like Apple, IBM, Disney, and Sony have pulled their advertising dollars from X (formerly known as Twitter) after several controversial comments by Elon Musk. It didn’t help that they discovered that their ads being shown next to anti-semitic and neo-Nazi posts.

Earlier this month, watchdog group Media Matters published a report claiming that X ran advertisements for major companies next to neo-Nazi posts. Musk would later file a lawsuit against the group.

But Musk escalated things when he publicly endorsed an antisemitic tweet which claimed that the Jewish communities have been “pushing the exact kind of dialectical hatred against whites that they claim to want people to stop using against them“.

According to Sensor Tower, the biggest advertisers – Apple, IBM, Sony, Disney, Comcast (NBC Universal) and Paramount collectively cut off 7% of total US ad spend on X (Twitter. On top of that, half of the top X advertisers have ceased buying advertisements from a year ago (as of October 2023).

Elon Musk Tells X Advertisers To F*ck Themselves!

On Wednesday, 29 November 2023, Andrew Ross Sorkin interviewed Elon Musk at the 2023 DealBook Summit in New York. In that interview, Elon apologised for endorsing the antisemitic tweet, saying that he should not have replied to it.

But he was belligerent about the advertising crisis at X. He claimed that those advertisers were trying to blackmail him, and literally told them to go “f*ck yourself”. If that wasn’t enough, he singled out Disney CEO Bob Iger in his tirade:

I don’t want them to advertise. If somebody’s gonna try to blackmail me with advertising? Blackmail me with money?

Go f*ck yourself. Go. F*ck. Yourself. Is that clear? Hey Bob, if you’re in the audience, that’s how I feel. Don’t advertise.

Elon Musk also told his interview, Andrew Ross Sorkin, that he didn’t mind being hated for his controversial opinions.

I have no problem being hated. Hate away.

But Musk admitted that the advertisers could kill X by boycotting it en masse.

What this advertising boycott is going to do is it’s going to kill the company. And the whole world will know that those advertisers killed the company.

What Musk may not have realised when he made those profane comments, was that he may well have helped to dig the grave for X.
