Acer Day 2020 : Deals + Promotions Galore!

With the new normal due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Acer Malaysia is adopting an online celebration on Shopee for Acer Day 2020!

They will continue to offer a wide range of discounts, promotions, lucky draw sessions and even games like the #FeelTheVibeWithAcer challenge.

The Acer Day 2020 virtual event will kick off on the Acer Malaysia Facebook page on 2 August 2020 at 3 PM, with performances by Linora, Pong Pong and Cikidot, as well as lucky draw sessions.

Up for grabs this year are prizes worth over RM 22,000, including a Predator Helios 300 laptop and a Predator Triton 700 laptop.

Acer Malaysia just kicked off Acer Day 2019 at Mid Valley Megamall, with the theme – Freedom To Play.

Here is everything you need to know about the Acer Day 2019 deals and promotions, which runs from now until the end of September 2019!

 

The Acer Day 2019 Launch Event

The Acer Day 2019 campaign actually lasts from 29 July until 30 September 2019. However, they officially launched Acer Day 2019 today at Mid Valley Megamall, with a roadshow over the weekend.

Acer also took the opportunity to launch the 2019 Aspire 3 and 5 laptops, and a new Acer PM161Q portable monitor…

The 2019 Acer Aspire Series

The 2019 Aspire 3 and 5 laptops have been refreshed with NVIDIA GeForce MX230 and MX250 graphics, and new Intel Core processor options.

The new Acer Aspire 5 has a 14-inch IPS display, but with a 10% smaller footprint and is 16.7% lighter than its predecessor.

The 2019 Aspire 5 is available with an Intel Core i7 processor with immediate effect for RM 3,099 / ~US$746 / ~£615 / ~A$1,098.

The Core i5 model is priced at RM 2,499 / ~US$601 / ~£496 / ~A$855, and will be available by the end of August 2019. The Core i3 model, price yet unknown, will also be available at the end of August as well.

The 2019 Acer Aspire 3 has a 15.6-inch Full HD display, and retails for RM 2,399 / ~US$577 / ~£476 / ~A$850 with immediate availability.

Acer PM161Q Portable Monitor

The Acer PM161Q is a portable 15.6-inch Full HD IPS display, with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.

Designed to fit snugly in a laptop bag, it has a side profile of only 2 cm, and weighs just 950 grams.

More importantly, it is designed to be powered by a single USB Type C cable, which makes it extremely useful as a portable second display for a smartphone or ultra-portable laptop.

The Acer PM161Q comes with a protective sleeve and 3-years on-site warranty, and is priced at RM 599 / ~US$144 / ~£119 / ~A$212 , with availability in September 2019.

At our last meeting with Gavin Wong, the National Consumer Sales Manager for AMD Malaysia, we pointed out that there has been a dearth of information on AMD Ryzen Mobile laptops. Almost immediately, he arranged for a media update on the Q4 2018 Ryzen Mobile laptop line-up. Check it out!

 

The Q4 2018 Ryzen Mobile Laptop Media Update!

It was an informal media update event, but Gavin brought in the big guns from AMD’s top partners to brief us – Jeffrey Lai (Senior Product Manager of Acer Malaysia), Frankie Chan (Business Director of PC Business, HP Malaysia), and Wong Yuen Lai (Consumer Segment Lead of Lenovo Malaysia). The Regional Marketing Manager of AMD APJ, Ms. Yennee Ng, also came for this media update.

Their central message was – despite the onslaught of laptops powered by the Intel Core processors, there is a large number of AMD Ryzen Mobile laptop options out there. And AMD will do more to bring in even more Ryzen Mobile laptops in coming months.
