People are sharing an article (archive) by The People’s Voice (formerly NewsPunch), which claimed that 194 WHO member countries just agreed to begin arresting and prosecuting those who oppose the bird flu vaccine!

Here is an excerpt of the long and (intentionally?) confusing article. Feel free to skip to the next section for the facts!

194 WHO Countries Agree to Arrest Citizens Who Oppose Bird Flu Vaccine – Media Blackout

194 World Health Organization (WHO) member states have agreed to begin arresting and prosecuting citizens who speak out against the Bird Flu vaccine, as part of tough new measures designed to stomp out so-called ‘misinformation’.

The World Healthy Assembly this week adopted amendments to the controversial International Health Regulations without any fanfare from the mainstream media. These amendments abolish the national sovereignty of countries, grant the WHO sweeping powers to pass laws in western nations, and criminalizes speech that the WHO says undermines the official narrative.

Expose-news.com reports: The following are brief descriptions of articles, podcasts and press conferences from various sources in recent days. Some of the concerns are the agreement for governments to “address” misinformation and disinformation, and the wording that further strengthens surveillance – thus laying the groundwork for the surveil-declare-threat-lockdown-coerced mass vaccination approach.

It is important to note that countries have 10 months to reserve or reject provisions, except those countries which rejected the 2022 amendments and so have 18 months. We must, therefore, keep raising awareness and put pressure on our governments to reject the amendments before the end of March 2025.

Truth : WHO Countries Are Not Arresting Those Who Oppose Bird Flu Vaccine!

This is yet another example of fake news created / promoted by The People’s Voice, and here are the reasons why…

Fact #1 : WHO Countries Are Not Arresting Those Who Oppose Bird Flu Vaccine

Let me start by pointing out that WHO member countries did not just agree to “begin arresting and prosecuting citizens who speak out against the bird flu vaccine“, as alleged by The People’s Voice.

Unsurprisingly, The People’s Voice article provided no evidence that any country has begun arresting and prosecuting people who speak out against the bird flu vaccine!

In fact, other than making that claim in the title and the lede, the word “arrest” is not even mentioned in the rest of the article!

Fact #2 : WHO Pandemic Agreement Has Not Been Finalised

I should also point out that the WHO Pandemic Agreement has not been finalised. So it’s absurd to claim or suggest that WHO member countries are going to arrest people based on amendments to the International Health Regulations (IHR).

Needless to say, The People’s Voice article provided no evidence that WHO member countries have agreed to arrest and prosecute people based on amendments to the IHR.

Fact #3 : WHO Pandemic Treaty Does Not Affect Sovereignty!

If you download and read the zero draft, or any of the Pandemic Treaty’s draft agreements, you will realise that WHO Member States will continue to have the right to “determine and manage” their own healthcare initiatives, including how to tackle future pandemics!

In fact, the issue of sovereignty was addressed at least three times in the latest April 2024 draft:

… reaffirming the principle of sovereignty of States in addressing public health matters,

Recalling the sovereign right of States over their biological resources…

… the sovereign right of States to adopt, legislate and implement legislation, within their jurisdiction, in accordance with the Charter of the United Nations, the WHO Constitution and the principles of international law, and their sovereign rights over their biological resources;

Only those who did not read any of the draft agreements will remain unaware that the WHO Pandemic Treaty would not affect any country’s sovereignty!

Fact #4 : The People’s Voice Is Known For Fake News

The People’s Voice is the current name for NewsPunch, which possibly changed its name because its brand has been so thoroughly discredited after posting numerous shocking but fake stories.

Founded as Your News Wire in 2014, it was rebranded as NewsPunch in November 2018, before becoming The People’s Voice. A 2017 BuzzFeed report identified NewsPunch as the second-largest source of popular fake news on Facebook that year.

People are sharing a video of Meryl Nass, who appeared to suggest that WHO DG Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus may have ordered the failed assassination of Robert Fico, after failing to convince its populist Prime Minister to continued with the Pandemic Treaty!

Physician and writer Dr. Meryl Nass (@NassMeryl) describes during a May 16 Children’s Health Defense (@ChildrensHD) roundtable discussion with Senator Ron Johnson (@SenRonJohnson) et al. how it had been reported that WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus had visited Slovakia and tried to talk the country’s prime minister, Robert Fico, out of “breaking consensus” for the WHO’s so-called “Pandemic Treaty” and International Health Regulation (IHR) amendments before the PM was the victim of an assassination attempt.

“It had been reported, actually, that Tedros, the Director-General of the WHO, had gone to Slovakia and had tried to talk him out of quote-unquote ‘breaking consensus for the documents,” Nass tells the roundtable participants.

“So, first Tedros was there, and then someone tries to assassinate him [Fico]…I can’t guarantee you the two things are related, but it is extraordinary that every major newspaper claimed immediately that the assassination was the result of a ‘lone wolf.’ And how they knew that—they obviously didn’t know that—but they obviously were all instructed to say that.”

Truth : WHO DG Did Not Have Robert Fico Shot Over Pandemic Treaty!

This is yet another example of fake news circulating on X (formerly Twitter), and here are the reasons why!

Fact #1 : Dr. Tedros Did Not Fly To Slovakia To Meet Robert Fico!

Let me start by pointing out that WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus did not fly to Slovakia to speak with Prime Minister Robert Fico, in an attempt to convince him to continue with the Pandemic Treaty.

In fact, the last time Dr. Tedros flew to Slovakia was in June 2022 – almost two years ago, when he attended the GLOBSEC Bratislava Forum, with Zuzana Čaputová, the President of the Slovak Republic.

Fact #2 : WHO DG Tedros Was In Paris + Geneva

Robert Fico was shot by a gunman while greeting people outside the House of Culture in Handlova, at around 2:30 PM local time on Wednesday, 15 May 2024.

A day before Fico was shot, WHO DG Tedros was in Paris, attending the Summit for Clean Cooking in Africa. He even posted photos of a high-level dialogue hosted by French President Emmanuel Macron that day!

After that, a WHO spokesperson confirmed that Dr. Tedros flew back to WHO headquarters in Geneva, where he posted his condemnation of the attempt assassination of Robert Fico, before hosting Francophone ambassadors in Geneva.

It would be a miraculous feat for Dr. Tedros to be in two places at the same time. Needless to say, neither Meryl Nass, nor the people sharing her video / claims, ever provide any evidence WHO DG Tedros was in Slovakia in May 2024…

Fact #3 : Robert Fico Did Not Reject WHO Pandemic Treaty

Claims that Robert Fico was shot because he rejected the WHO Pandemic Treaty is nonsense. Robert Fico did not recently formally and/or publicly reject the WHO Pandemic Treaty, as some people have claimed or suggested.

It was Peter Kotlár, the Slovak Government Plenipotentiary for the COVID-19 pandemic, who formally and publicly rejected the “current version” of the WHO Pandemic Treaty on 10 May 2024. Even that was not a final, conclusive rejection of the WHO Pandemic Treaty.

While Robert Fico himself appear to speak out against the WHO Pandemic Treaty, he did not actually say that he was rejecting the WHO Pandemic Treaty. He only said that the SMER party will not support expanding the powers of the WHO, at the expense of the state’s right to tackle future pandemics.

In other words, it very much sounds like he’s okay with WHO gaining more powers, as long as Slovakia still retains the right to tackle future pandemics its own way.

Fact #4 : Fico’s Ministers Called It Politically Motivated

In addition, claims that media outlets were instructed to claim that the shooting was committed by a lone wolf is equally nonsensical.

For one thing – the gunman, who was later identified as 71 year-old Juraj Cintula from Levice, was immediately detained by Fico’s security detail.

Then, both Defense Minister Robert Kaliňák and Interior Minister Matúš Šutaj Eštok called the shooting “politically motivated,” with Šutaj Eštok saying that “the suspect made the decision to do it shortly after the presidential election,” which ended just last month – on 6 April 2024.

Juraj Cintula frequented events organised by the pro-Russian paramilitary group, Slovenski branci (Slovakian Recruits), and praised the group and its anti-immigration stance multiple times on social media.

There is no evidence that Juraj Cintula was inspired to shoot Robert Fico because he was against the WHO Pandemic Treaty. In fact – none of those who made those suggestions or claims ever provided any evidence to back them up!

This comes only days after Fico formally & publicly rejected The WHO Global Pandemic Accord ‼️

Vigilant Fox : Prime Minister Robert Fico of Slovakia Has Been Shot

Here’s Fico in December 2023 calling the WHO Pandemic Treaty “nonsense invented by greedy pharma companies.”

He also said, “One study after another confirms the scandalous consequences of mass vaccination with untested experimental vaccines.”

There is no other head of state in the world who has had the guts to say this publicly and so explicitly.

He also rejects funding for Ukraine. You can imagine that there are a lot of powerful people who would want him dead.

This is yet another example of fake news / misinformation circulating on social media, and here are the reasons why…

Fact #1 : Assassination Attempt Was Politically Motivated

First, let me just point out that Robert Fico was not shot because he was against the WHO Pandemic Treaty.

On 15 May 2024, Robert Fico was greeting people outside the House of Culture in Handlova, when a gunman fired five shots at him, hitting him in the abdomen, head and chest. The gunman, who was later identified as 71 year-old Juraj Cintula from Levice, was immediately detained by Fico’s security detail.

Both Defense Minister Robert Kaliňák and Interior Minister Matúš Šutaj Eštok called the shooting “politically motivated,” with Šutaj Eštok saying that “the suspect made the decision to do it shortly after the presidential election,” which ended just last month – on 6 April 2024.

Even though Robert Fico has said that he is against the WHO Pandemic Treaty months ago, he never actually rejected it outright. Here is the English translation of the video that people share of him “rejecting” the WHO Pandemic Treaty:

I also declare very clearly that SMER (Slovakian Social Democracy) will not support strengthening the powers of the World Health Organization at the expense of sovereign states in managing the fight against pandemics.

If you carefully read what he said, you will realise that Robert Fico never actually said that he was rejecting the WHO Pandemic Treaty. He only said that the SMER party will not support expanding the powers of the WHO, at the expense of the state’s right to tackle future pandemics.

In other words, it very much sounds like Robert Fico is okay with WHO gaining more powers, as long as Slovakia still retains the right to tackle future pandemics its own way. And that brings us to this next point…

US Senators Drop a Bombshell on the World Health Organization

The tide is turning.

In a shocking turn of events, all Republican senators (49), led by Senator Ron Johnson, have formally urged President Joe Biden to withdraw his support in expanding the World Health Organization’s (WHO) pandemic authority.

The letter, sent ahead of the 77th World Health Assembly scheduled from May 27 to June 1, 2024, in Geneva, Switzerland, argues that the WHO’s mishandling of the COVID-19 crisis underscores the need for major reforms rather than granting it more power.

The senators warn that such an expansion could threaten U.S. sovereignty and constitutional rights, emphasizing that any international agreement enhancing WHO’s authority should be treated as a treaty, requiring a two-thirds supermajority vote in the Senate for approval.

“THIS IS BIG NEWS!!!” wrote Dr. Meryl Nass on 𝕏.

“49 Senators (every Republican Senator) have told President Biden to withdraw US support for the Treaty and IHR amendments–but if the US does go forward, the treaty(s) will have to be submitted to the Senate for its advice and consent, requiring a 2/3 vote (which is an appropriate threat).”

These claims are based on a letter that Senator Ron Johnson and Senator Rick Scott sent to the Biden Administration:

Dear Mr. President:

Next month, during the Seventy-seventh World Health Assembly (WHA), your administration is expected to commit the United States to two international agreements that would strengthen the World Health Organization’s (WHO) authority to declare public health emergencies of international concern and expand the WHO’s authority over member states during such emergencies. This is unacceptable.

The WHO’s failure during the COVID-19 pandemic was as total as it was predictable and did lasting harm to our country. The United States cannot afford to ignore this latest WHO inability to perform its most basic function and must insist on comprehensive WHO reforms before even considering amendments to the International Health Regulations (IHR) or any new pandemic-related treaty that would increase WHO authority. We are deeply concerned that your administration continues to support these initiatives and strongly urge you to change course.

Article 55 of the IHR requires the text of any IHR amendment to be communicated to member states at least four months before the WHA at which they are to be considered. As the WHO has still not provided final amendments text to member states, we submit that IHR amendments may not be considered at next month’s WHA. Some of the over 300 proposals for amendments made by member states would substantially increase the WHO’s health emergency powers and constitute intolerable infringements upon U.S. sovereignty. As such, it was essential that the WHO abide by the four-month notice period to allow member states time to ensure that no traces of such proposals were included in a final amendment package for consideration by the WHA. Having failed to do so, amendments are not in order.

The WHO’s most recent publicly available draft of its new pandemic response treaty is dead on arrival. Instead of addressing the WHO’s well-documented shortcomings, the treaty focuses on mandated resource and technology transfers, shredding intellectual property rights, infringing free speech, and supercharging the WHO. Moving forward with a new pandemic preparedness and response treaty ignores the fact that we are still unsure of COVID-19’s origins because Beijing continues to block a legitimate independent investigation. We strongly urge you not to join any pandemic related treaty, covenant, or agreement being considered at the Seventy-seventh WHA. Should you ignore this advice, we state in the strongest possible terms that we consider any such agreement to be a treaty requiring the concurrence of two-thirds of the Senate under Article II Section 2 of the Constitution.

In light of the high stakes for our country and our constitutional duty, we call upon you to (1) withdraw your administration’s support for the current IHR amendments and pandemic treaty negotiations, (2) shift your administration’s focus to comprehensive WHO reforms that address its persistent failures without expanding its authority, and (3) should you ignore these calls, submit any pandemic related agreement to the Senate for its advice and consent.

Truth : WHO Pandemic Treaty Will Not Threaten US Sovereignty!

This is yet another example of fake news about the WHO Pandemic Treaty, and here are the reasons why…

Fact #1 : WHO Member States Want To Better Prepare For Future Pandemics

This claim is based on WHO member state discussions, which started in 2022, to amend existing International Health Regulations to strengthen the world’s preparedness against future global pandemics.

The International Health Regulations (IHR) were first adopted by member states in 1969, empowering the WHO to monitor global diseases. Those regulations have since been revised over the years, including in 2005 – after the SARS outbreak.

On 1 December 2021, world leaders agreed to kickstart the process to draft and negotiate an agreement or convention to “strengthen pandemic prevention, preparedness and response“.

Fact #2 : Recommendations Came From WHO Member States

The proposed recommendations came from WHO member states, and not WHO itself. Among the more than 200 recommendations on how to better prepare for the next pandemic were:

sharing of data and genomic sequences on emerging viruses
a plan for equitable vaccine distribution
a ban on wildlife markets
incentives for reporting new viruses or variants

Fact #3 : Biden Administration Does Not Want A Binding Agreement

The European Union proposed that the changes be adopted in the form of a new treaty, a measure backed by Britain, Indonesia and Kenya, among other countries.

Despite what people are claiming on social media, the United States has opposed a binding treaty. India and Brazil are similarly reluctant about adopting a treaty.

The EU proposed the treaty and is its biggest backer, with support from Britain, Indonesia, Kenya and others.

The United States will take part in the talks but has opposed a binding treaty. India and Brazil have also voiced reservations.

Yet, all GOP senators are apparently insisting that the WHO Pandemic Treaty should be a binding treaty??? Do they want to maintain US sovereignty, or hand it over to the WHO???

Fact #4 : WHO Pandemic Treaty Is Unlikely To Be Binding

The zero draft of the proposed WHO agreement on preparing for future pandemics was released on 1 February 2023, and was the focus of the article by The Epoch Times.

If you download and read the zero draft, you will realise that the WHO is still calling it a “convention, agreement, or other international instruments“, clearly showing that member countries have not decided whether they want it to be binding or otherwise.

In the third point noted on the very first page of the draft, it was even pointed out that this is just a draft that is being used for “commencing negotiations“, and that “nothing is agreed until everything is agreed“.

The INB (Intergovernmental Negotiating Body) further agreed that the zero draft would be considered at its fourth meeting as a basis for commencing negotiations at that meeting, it being understood that the zero draft will be without prejudice to the position of any delegation and following the principle that “nothing is agreed until everything is agreed”.

So it is ludicrous for anyone who read the first page of the zero draft to claim that the Biden Administration is planning to sign away US sovereignty to the WHO. Moreover, the Biden Administration does not want a binding agreement, while the GOP senators appear to be demanding for one!

More to the point – if the Biden Administration holds firm, the Pandemic Treaty will not be binding, as every country has to agree to these changes, or nothing changes.

Fact #5 : WHO Pandemic Treaty Does Not Affect Sovereignty!

In fact, the issue of sovereignty was addressed at least three times in the latest April 2024 draft:

Fact #6 : WHO DG Dismissed Sovereignty Claim In May 2022

On May 17, 2022, WHO Director-General Dr. Tedros Ghebreyesus dismissed the claim that countries signing up for this new agreement would be giving up their sovereignty.

The accord process is led by Member States with their own Intergovernmental Negotiating Body (called INB), representing all regions of the world. The INB has now started a two-year process that includes global public hearings with all stakeholders. This represents the world’s opportunity to plan together, detect pathogens quicker, share data broadly and collectively respond more effectively to the next diseases X or known pathogens.

Unfortunately, there has been a small minority of groups making misleading statements and purposefully distorting facts.

I want to be crystal clear. WHO’s agenda is public, open and transparent. WHO stands strongly for individual rights. We passionately support everyone’s right to health and we will do everything we can to ensure that that right is realized.

The first ever World Health Assembly, which took place soon after the WHO Constitution entered into force in 1948, was a watershed event in global public health. And like the proposed pandemic preparedness accord, this did not mean WHO usurped nations’ sovereignty; in fact it strengthened countries’ ability to fight diseases together.

WHO is an expression of Member States’ own sovereignty and WHO is entirely what the sovereign 194 Member States want WHO to be.

Every year, these sovereign governments come together at the World Health Assembly to set the health agenda for the world. Individually we can’t beat pandemics; our best chance is together.

WHO Forced To Abandon Pandemic Treaty As Public Rise Up Against Globalist Tyranny

The World Health Organization’s controversial Pandemic Treaty has been scrapped due to the increasing numbers of people who are waking up and rising up against the globalist elite’s tyrannical agenda.

Following fierce backlash from the public, the WHO has been forced to completely revise its proposed International Health Regulations (IHR) amendments.

According to the group Us for Them UK, the changes represent a serious victory “for national democracy, free speech and human rights.”

Naturalnews.com reports: Almost all of the substantive concerns presented to the WHO Working Group for the IHR amendments have been trimmed back, one of the biggest changes being that the WHO’s recommendations will be non-binding.

“Article 13A.1 which would have required Member States to follow directives of the WHO as the guiding and coordinating authority for international public health has been dropped entirely,” Us for Them UK tweeted.

Another change is the erasure of a proposal that would have struck from the amendments wording that recognizes the “dignity, human rights and fundamental freedoms” of human beings.

“This proposal marked a particularly low water-mark, and should never have been suggested,” Us for Them UK says.

If you are concerned about the WHO suddenly attaining dictatorial powers at the mere “potential” of a public health emergency, worry not: the WHO will only be able to gain total control if it can demonstrate “that coordinated international action is necessary.”

Truth : WHO Did Not Abandon / Scrap Pandemic Treaty!

This is yet another example of fake news created / promoted by The People’s Voice, and here are the reasons why…

Fact #1 : WHO Did Not Abandon Pandemic Treaty!

Let me start by quickly pointing out that the WHO (World Health Organization) did not abandon or scrap the Pandemic Treaty as claimed or suggested by The People’s Voice article.

If that actually happened, it would have been reported worldwide. Yet, no legitimate media reported on such a shocking development, because it never happened.

The WHO also released the latest April 2024 draft proposal (PDF) for the WHO Pandemic Agreement! That would not be the case if the WHO Pandemic Treaty was already scrapped.

Unsurprisingly, The People’s Voice article did not provide any actual evidence that the WHO abandoned or scrapped the Pandemic Treaty.

Fact #2 : WHO Member States To Finalised Pandemic Treaty

In fact, WHO Member States agreed to resume negotiations to finalise the Pandemic Treaty from 29 April to 10 May 2024, in time for the 77th World Health Assembly which would begin on 27 May 2024.

Our Member States are fully aware of how important the pandemic agreement is for protecting future generations from the suffering we endured through the COVID-19 pandemic.

I thank them for their clear commitment to finding common ground and finalizing this historic agreement in time for the World Health Assembly.

Again, The People’s Voice article did not provide any actual evidence that the WHO abandoned or scrapped the Pandemic Treaty.

Fact #2 : Article 13A Never Made It To Zero Draft

The People’s Voice article claimed or suggested that Article 13A.1 of the Pandemic Treaty was removed recently. That’s not accurate.

Article 13A.1 was proposed by the Working Group on Amendments to the International Health Regulations (WGIHR) on its first meeting in November 2022 (PDF). In fact, there were actually TWO proposed Article 13A.1.

New Article 13A WHO Led International Public Health Response

1. States Parties recognize WHO as the guidance and coordinating authority of international public
health response during public health Emergency of International Concern and undertake to follow
WHO’s recommendations in their international public health response.

New Article 13A: Access to Health Products, Technologies and Know-How for Public Health Response

1. Immediately after the determination of a public health emergency of international concern under
Article 12, the Director General shall make an immediate assessment of availability and affordability
of required health products and make recommendations, including an allocation mechanism, to avoid
any potential shortages of health products and technologies pursuant to Article 15 or 16 as
appropriate.

Both of the proposed Article 13A additions never made it to the zero draft of the WHO Pandemic Treaty that was released on 1 February 2023 – over a year ago! Even in the later June 2023 draft (PDF) did not mention Article 13A.

So why would anyone bring up Article 13A, or wave its removal as some kind of victory, when it was never even included in the initial draft agreement???

Fact #4 : WHO Pandemic Treaty Does Not Affect Sovereignty!

In fact, the issue of sovereignty was addressed at least three times in the latest April 2024 draft:

… reaffirming the principle of sovereignty of States in addressing public health matters,

Recalling the sovereign right of States over their biological resources…

Only those who did not read any of the draft agreements will remain unaware that the WHO Pandemic Treaty would not affect any country’s sovereignty!

Fact #5 : The People’s Voice Is Known For Fake News

Truth : Millions of Japanese did not protest against WHO Pandemic Treaty!

This is yet another example of fake news created / promoted by The People’s Voice, and here are the reasons why…

Fact #1 : Protest Only Occurred In Tokyo

The People’s Voice article claimed that protests against the WHO Pandemic Treaty are occurring in “Japan’s major cities”. That’s not true.

The protest against the WHO Pandemic Treaty only occurred in Tokyo, on the afternoon of April 13, 2024. Even then, it was restricted to the Ikebukuro district, specifically the Higashi-Ikebukuro Central Park.

Unsurprisingly, The People’s Voice did not provide any actual evidence that there were protests against the WHO Pandemic Treaty in other major Japanese cities.

Fact #2 : There Were Only Hundreds / Thousands Of People

The People’s Voice article also claimed or suggested that millions of Japanese people protested against the WHO Pandemic Treaty. That is also not true.

In fact, The People’s Voice article itself pointed out that the organisers “aimed for a turnout of 100,000 protestors”. How did that translate into “millions of Japanese”???

Even favourable reports (example) stated that there were thousands of people there, not millions. An eyewitness on Reddit (archive), however, reported that there were only a few hundred people, while a risk management company reported (archive) that there were only several thousand people.

Regardless of whether there were hundreds or thousands of people at that Japanese protest against the WHO Pandemic Treaty, I think we can agree that it was nowhere close to hundreds of thousands, and certainly not millions of people.

Fact #3 : Photo Was Taken In August 2016

The People’s Voice article used a photo that appears to show a huge crowd of people at the Japanese protest against the WHO Pandemic Treaty.

However, that photo was actually taken on August 30, 2016, and shows protestors outside the Diet building in the Chiyoda Ward (a completely different part of Tokyo). The people there were protesting against the security legislation, not the WHO Pandemic Treaty.

Fact #4 : WHO Pandemic Treaty Does Not Affect Sovereignty!

If you download and read the zero draft, you will realise that it clearly states in Pages 10 and 11 that countries like Japan will continue to have the right to “determine and manage” their own healthcare initiatives, including how to tackle future pandemics.

3. Sovereignty – States have, in accordance with the Charter of the United Nations and the principles of international law, the sovereign right to determine and manage their approach to public health, notably pandemic prevention, preparedness, response and recovery of health systems, pursuant to their own policies and legislation, provided that activities within their jurisdiction or control do not cause damage to their peoples and other countries. Sovereignty also covers the rights of States over their biological resources.

Unless those protestors did not read the Zero Draft, it seems impossible that they would not be aware that the WHO Pandemic Treaty would not affect any country’s sovereignty!

People are sharing a video posted by British MP Andrew Bridgen, in which he claimed or suggested that the UK is about to give away powers and sovereignty to the WHO through the Pandemic Treaty.

Andrew Bridgen MP : This morning, I asked @PennyMordaunt if we could have a statement on why this House is so content with giving away powers and sovereignty to the unelected, undemocratic, diplomatically immune World Health Organization.

And why did the Petitions Committee reject Petition 648609 which called for the UK to leave the WHO?

Truth : UK Is Not Giving Up Its Powers + Sovereignty To WHO!

Let’s take a look at the claim, and find out what the facts really are!

Fact #1 : Penny Mordaunt Called It Invented Drama

In the video, Penny Mordaunt – the current Leader of the House of Commons) called Andrew Bridgen’s question invented drama, because the Petitions Committee is responsible for such petitions, and not the House of Commons itself.

Well, I think there is enough to worry about, and focus on, and debate about, health-related issues, and all sorts of other issues, without inventing crises and drama where there is none.

The Honourable Gentleman has already acknowledged in his question that the petition he refers to is a matter for the Petitions Committee. That is a committee of this House. I am not responsible for the decisions it takes.

I would facilitate and help the Honourable Gentleman secure debates, raise questions, and anything else that he wants to do on any topic he wishes to campaign on. And he would know because he has secured debates in this space, and indeed, they have been well-attended debates, that this House is very open to discussing all sorts of issues, including the World Health Organization, including the treaty that I know the Honourable Gentleman is concerned about.

So let’s just focus on the real issues, and the substance and matters at hand, and not pretend that this House or anyone in it, or any of its committees, has any other hidden agenda because the Honourable Gentleman knows that is not true.

Such petitions are sent to the relevant department responsible for the subject matter (source), with that department usually issuing a response (known as an “observation”) within two months. The Petitions Committee may then recommend further actions on the petition, or it may not.

In short – Penny Mordaunt pointed out that Andrew Bridgen knows that Public Petition 648609 would be decided by the Petitions Committee, and not the House of Commons itself.

Fact #2 : Two Debates Were Already Held Earlier

The Petitions Committee declined to schedule a debate for Public Petition 648609 (End the UK’s membership of the World Health Organization), because the House had already discussed the same issue in two earlier debates:

The Petitions Committee has decided not to schedule a debate on this petition.

The Committee recognised the support that this petition has received. However, the issues raised by this petition have recently been discussed by MPs in other debates, including:

Fact #3 : UK Is Not Giving Up Powers Or Sovereignty To WHO

The UK government had already responded to this petition on 17 November 2023, pointing out that it will never cede sovereignty to the WHO through any partnerships.

The UK Government will not end our WHO membership. We are committed to working with the WHO to tackle the world’s health issues. We do not and will never cede sovereign powers through our partnership.

In its full response, the UK Department of Health and Social Care also pointed out that:

… the UK has been and will continue to be clear that we would not agree any amendments to the IHR or sign up to an Accord that would cede sovereignty to the WHO in relation to making domestic decisions on national measures concerning public health, such as, domestic immunisation programme rollouts and other similar measures.

Any new or amended domestic legislation necessary to reflect new international obligations under the IHR or the Accord would be made through the applicable parliamentary process. In all circumstances, the sovereignty of the UK Parliament would remain unchanged.

Fact #4 : WHO Pandemic Treaty Does Not Affect Sovereignty!

If you download and read the zero draft, you will realise that it clearly states in Pages 10 and 11 that countries like the UK will continue to have the right to “determine and manage” their own healthcare initiatives, including how to tackle future pandemics.

Unless Andrew Bridgen and those who signed up for Public Petition 648609 did not read the Zero Draft, it seems impossible that they would not be aware that the WHO Pandemic Treaty would not affect any country’s sovereignty!

WHO Director Says Independent Media Must Be ‘Wiped Out’ Before Disease X Arrives

World Health Organization Director-General Tedros Ghebreyesus has ordered governments to eliminate independent media before the imminent arrival of ‘Disease X’.

The only way to prepare for the outbreak is by giving the WHO more power in the form of a global health treaty which will unify a common approach to combating it, according to Tedros.

He then made clear that the biggest stumbling block to the treaty’s passage was “conspiracy theorists” claiming it was a WHO power grab.

“That it’s a power grab by the World Health Organization. That it will cede sovereignty to WHO. That it will give WHO power to impose lockdowns or vaccine mandates on countries. That it’s an ‘attack on freedom.’ That WHO will not allow people to travel, and that WHO wants to control people’s lives,” he said.

Truth : WHO DG Did Not Order Elimination Of Independent Media!

This is yet another example of fake news created / promoted by The People’s Voice, and here are the reasons why…

Fact #1 : WHO DG Did Not Order Elimination Of Independent Media

This is really silly, but let me just start by pointing out that the WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus did not order the elimination of independent media. Neither did he order governments to eliminate the independent media before the arrival of Disease X.

If he actually issued such an order, it would have been derided widely by the independent media, as well as the mainstream media. Yet, no one else, not even other conspiracy theory websites, have reported on such a controversial order by the WHO Director-General? That’s because it never happened.

As usual, The People’s Voice article provided no evidence to back up its “fact checked” claims. Just like when it claimed that the WHO Global Police Force was unveiled at WEF 2024!

Fact #2 : No One Censor The Entire World

Short of actually establishing a global police state, there is no way anyone can eliminate the independent media, and censor the entire world.

Some countries, like China and North Korea, have the capability to actively monitor and censor independent media. But many countries have free speech written into their constitutions, so it would be impossible to conduct such restrictions on free speech, without massive political blowback from their citizens.

In short – this can only happen in a MAGA / QAnon fantasy world, and not in the real world where the rest of us live. Naturally, The People’s Voice article has provided no evidence that such a dastardly plan ever exists outside of fevered minds and addled brains.

Fact #3 : Disease X Is Just A Placeholder Name

What The People’s Voice article does not tell you is that Disease X does not actually exist.

Disease X is merely a placeholder name for a hypothetical, unknown pathogen that could cause a future epidemic. It is used by healthcare organisations and policy makers as an easy way to label an unknown disease that could potentially emerge in the future.

If a new pathogen emerges, it won’t be called Disease X. It will be given a new name. Remember when news first broke about a new coronavirus emerging in Wuhan, China, at the end of 2019? It wasn’t called Disease X then.

Initially, the WHO called it the 2019 Novel Coronavirus, or 2019-nCoV. Then, the disease itself was named as COVID-19, while the virus that causes it was named as SARS-CoV-2.

Fact #4 : Pandemic Treaty Was Initiated By WHO Member States

It is also important to point out that the Pandemic Treaty was not initiated by the World Health Organization itself, but rather its member states.

On 1 December 2021, world leaders agreed to kickstart the process to draft and negotiate an agreement or convention to “strengthen pandemic prevention, preparedness and response“.

Fact #5 : Pandemic Treaty Does Not Outlaw Free Speech

If you read the zero draft of the proposed Pandemic Treaty, you will realise that the WHO is not planning to control the Internet, or outlaw free speech. This is explicitly stated in Article 17, which refers to “Parties” that are the member states.

The Parties commit to increase science, public health and pandemic literacy in the population, as well as access to information on pandemics and their effects, and tackle false, misleading, misinformation or disinformation, including through promotion of international cooperation.

As you can see, under the agreement, each individual country will commit to increase knowledge about science and public health, as well as combat “false, misleading, misinformation or disinformation”.

Not only does the article clearly state that it is up to each country (not the WHO) to implement its policies, it does not mention anything about controlling the Internet.

The only people who need to worry about Article 17 of this proposed WHO agreement are those who peddle “false, misleading, misinformation or disinformation”.

This is really silly, but let me start by pointing out that the WHO never asked or demanded for surveillance powers to “monitor every single man, woman and child on earth” for disease control or any other reason.

The People’s Voice article certainly offered no evidence to back up its “fact checked” claim.

Fact #2 : Pandemic Treaty Does Not Refer To WHO Surveillance Powers

If you download and read the zero draft (PDF) of the proposed pandemic treaty, you will see that it never mentioned anything about giving the WHO surveillance powers to monitor any person.

In fact, zero draft only referred to genomic and disease surveillance, not people:

Article 18. One Health

7. Each Party shall:

(d) enhance surveillance to identify and report on pathogens resistant to antimicrobial agents in humans, livestock and aquaculture that have pandemic potential, building on the existing global reporting systems;

The zero draft also specifically pointed out that such surveillance should be adopted by each country “in accordance with national law“:

Article 11. Strengthening and sustaining preparedness and health systems’ resilience

4. Each Party shall, in accordance with national law, adopt policies and strategies, supported by implementation plans, across the public and private sectors and relevant agencies, consistent with relevant tools, including, but not limited to, the International Health Regulations, and strengthen and reinforce public health functions for:

(c) surveillance (including using a One Health approach), outbreak investigation and control, through interoperable early warning and alert systems;

In other words, it is up to each country to conduct its own disease surveillance, according to its own laws.

Fact #3 : WHO Pandemic Treaty Does Not Affect Sovereignty!

Anyone who reads the zero draft will see that it clearly states in Pages 10 and 11 that countries will maintain their sovereignty, and continue to have the right to “determine and manage” their own healthcare initiatives, including how to tackle future pandemics.

Why would anyone who actually read the zero draft ever claim that countries signing up for the pandemic treaty would be handing over their sovereignty to the World Health Organization. That’s utter nonsense.

People are sharing an article (archive) by The People’s Voice (formerly NewsPunch), claiming that the WHO (World Health Organization) just unveiled its Global Police Force at the 2024 World Economic Forum in Davos.

Ostensibly, this WHO Global Police Force has the power to arrest people who spread “non-mainstream content” on the Internet!

WHO Unveils ‘Global Police Force’ To Arrest Citizens Who Post Independent Media Online

The World Health Organization (WHO) has announced plans to rollout a global police force that will be responsible for punishing citizens who spread non-mainstream content on the Internet.

In a session titled “Disease X,” WHO Director Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus declared that in order to be “better prepared” and “to understand disease X,” the WHO’s legally binding ‘Pandemic Agreement’ needs to be adopted by leaders worldwide.

The Pandemic Agreement would grant the WHO unprecedented control over sovereign nations – allowing them to outlaw free speech and imprison citizens for sharing so-called ‘misinformation’ online.

He explained that the deadline for the legislation is May of this year and member states are negotiating between countries to implement it.

Truth : WHO Did Not Unveil Any Global Police Force!

This is yet another example of FAKE NEWS created / promoted by The People’s Voice, and here are the reasons why…

Fact #1 : WHO Did Not Unveil Any Global Police Force

First, let me just point out that the WHO (World Health Organization) did not unveil any Global Police Force, whether at the 2024 World Economic Forum, or elsewhere.

If such a police force was actually established, it would have been reported by mainstream media all over the world. There was no such coverage because it never happened. The People’s Voice article certainly offered no evidence of such a WHO Global Police Force.

In fact, if such a global Internet police force was established, the creators behind fake news websites would have been arrested. The fact that The People’s Voice can freely post such fake news is evidence that such a police force does not exist.

Fact #2 : Pandemic Treaty Was Initiated By WHO Member States

It is also important to point out that the Pandemic Treaty was not initiated by the World Health Organization itself, but rather its member states.

On 1 December 2021, world leaders agreed to kickstart the process to draft and negotiate an agreement or convention to “strengthen pandemic prevention, preparedness and response“.

Fact #3 : Pandemic Treaty Does Not Outlaw Free Speech

Not only does the article clearly state that it is up to each country (not the WHO) to implement its policies, it does not mention anything about controlling the Internet.

The only people who need to worry about Article 17 of this proposed WHO agreement are those who peddle “false, misleading, misinformation or disinformation”.

Fact #4 : Pandemic Treaty May Not Be Binding

While some countries like the European Union, Britain, Indonesia and Kenya would prefer a legally-binding Pandemic Treaty, other countries like the United States, India and Brazil oppose a legally-binding agreement.

So it is ludicrous to claim that the Pandemic Treaty will be legally binding. No such decision has been made.

Fact #5 : The People’s Voice Is Known For Publishing Fake News

No Evidence Slovakia Rejected WHO Pandemic Treaty!

Let’s take a closer look at what this WHO Pandemic Treaty is all about, and why there’s no evidence Slovakia has actually rejected it!

Fact #1 : WHO Pandemic Treaty Has Not Been Finalised

Let me start by pointing out that the WHO Pandemic Treaty is still not finalised, with the deadline to conclude negotiations extended to May 2024. That is when the final WHO Pandemic Treaty is expected to be submitted to the 77th World Health Assembly for its approval.

Until then, there is no actual WHO Pandemic Treaty for Slovakia or any other country to accept or reject, which makes the delight of the anti-vaccine / conspiracy theory crowd… premature ejaculation at best.

Fact #2 : Robert Fico Did Not Outright Reject WHO Pandemic Treaty

Robert Fico is a politician, and like all politicians, they have a way of speaking in a way that offers a way out. So we have to examine carefully what he said.

Here is the English translation that can be seen in the video above:

In other words, it very much sounds like he’s okay with WHO gaining more powers, as long as Slovakia still retains the right to tackle future pandemics its own way. And that brings us to this next point…

Fact #4 : WHO Pandemic Treaty Does Not Affect Sovereignty!

If you download and read the zero draft, you will realise that it clearly states in Pages 10 and 11 that countries like Slovakia will continue to have the right to “determine and manage” their own healthcare initiatives, including how to tackle future pandemics.

Unless the new Prime Minister of Slovakia did not read the Zero Draft before making that comment, it is likely that Robert Fico was well aware that the WHO Pandemic Treaty will not affect Slovakia’s sovereignty. In other words – he wouldn’t be breaking his word, if Slovakia eventually ratifies the WHO Pandemic Treaty!

Fact #5 : WHO Pandemic Treaty Must Be Ratified By Member Countries

Even if the final WHO Pandemic Treaty is adopted in the 77th Health Assembly in May 2024, it must still be ratified by each individual country. This is clearly stated in Article 33(1) with my emphasis in bold:

The WHO CA+ shall be subject to ratification, acceptance, approval or accession by States, and to formal confirmation or accession by regional economic integration organizations. It shall be open for accession from the day after the date on which the WHO CA+ is closed for signature. Instruments of ratification, acceptance, approval, formal confirmation or accession shall be deposited with the Depositary.

Fact #6 : Robert Fico Only Said SMER Will Vote Against Treaty

Robert Fico never actually said that his government will reject the WHO Pandemic Treaty. In fact, his government lacks the power to ratify such treaties.

In the viral video, he even pointed out that it is the National Council that will ultimately decide on whether to ratify the WHO Pandemic Treat, which conveniently offers him (and the SMER party) a way out.

According to the Constitution of the Slovak Republic, the validity of such international agreements in favour of the World Health Organization requires the consent of the National Council of the Slovak Republic.

And I do not believe that the sovereign Slovak political parties will express such approval. The SMER party and its MPs certainly won’t.

In short – his statement that SMER and its MPs won’t agree to the WHO Pandemic Treaty is rather “toothless”, as they only won 42 seats (28%) out of 150 seats in the National Council. As long as a majority of Slovak MPs vote to ratify the treaty, it will be adopted regardless of what SMER or Robert Fico says.
