At an exclusive event in Singapore, Sony officially launched and showed off the 2019 Sony BRAVIA range of OLED and LED TVs. They include the latest addition to the Sony MASTER series – the new Sony BRAVIA A9G 4K HDR OLED television! Check them out!

Introducing the new 2019 Sony BRAVIA OLED and LED TV line-up was Mr. Benjamin Ng, the Assistant General Manager of the Sony SEA TV Marketing Division.

It was followed by the official launch of the new Sony BRAVIA A9G 4K HDR OLED television!

 

The 2019 Sony BRAVIA OLED + LED TV Showcase

The 2019 Sony BRAVIA OLED and LED TV line-up consists of two 4K OLED TV models, four 4K LED TV models and two 2K LED TV models. Let’s check them out!

The 2019 Sony BRAVIA A9G Premium 4K HDR OLED TV

This is Sony’s new flagship 4K OLED TV. Available in 77-inch, 65-inch and 55-inch display sizes, the new 2019 Sony BRAVIA A9G pairs the clarify of 4K with the colour and detail of High Dynamic Range (HDR).

The new A9G  boasts over 8 million self-illuminating pixels controlled by the brand new Picture Processor X1 Ultimate, with Pixel Contrast Booster for more colours and greater contrast in bright areas. It offers a Netflix Calibrated Mode, and supports Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos.

The A9G also boasts the new Acoustic Surface Audio+ feature, which is designed to envelope viewers in an expansive soundscape. It also has a TV Centre Speaker mode, that literally turns the TV into the centre speaker!

A Slice Of Living With The Sony BRAVIA A1 HDR OLED TV

Sony introduced the Slice of Living concept to the products that are designed to harmonise with the interior of the modern home. These Slice of Living products focus on minimalist aesthetics, while maintaining the Sony emphasis on leading edge proprietary technologies. This led Sony to introduce the BRAVIA A1 OLED TV that is designed around the One Slate concept.

The Sony BRAVIA A1 HDR OLED TV arguably looks like a very large tablet with a stand. Let’s take a quick look at it…

4K High Dynamic Range (HDR)

The BRAVIA A1 pairs the clarity of 4K resolution with the brightness, colour and detail of High Dynamic Range (HDR). It can handle a variety of HDR formats, including HDR 10, Hybrid Log-Gamma and Dolby Vision.

4K HDR Processor X1 Extreme

The 4K HDR Processor X1 Extreme processor is Sony’s most powerful processor, with 40% more performance than their earlier 4K Processor X1. This allows the BRAVIA A1 to handle not just 4K, but also HDR, images and videos in real-time.

Acoustic Surface Technology

Instead of using separate speakers, the Acoustic Surface Technology uses two actuators to turn the entire display into a massive speaker. A subwoofer integrated into the stand behind delivers powerful bass.

 

Sony BRAVIA A1 Price & Availability

The Sony BRAVIA A1 is available right now in 65″ and 55″ sizes at the following prices:

  • 65″ KD-65A1 : RM 29,999 / ~US$ 7,139
  • 55″ KD-55A1 : RM 16,999 / ~US$ 4,039

Both models will come a free Sony PlayStaton 4 Pro (CUH-7000) console.

Sony launched two new BRAVIA 4K HDR TV series during this launch event. Find out what’s new about these new 2017 Sony BRAVIA TV models in this presentation by Benjamin Ng, the Head of TV Marketing, Sony South East Asia.

  • The new 4K HDR OLED TVs will be branded as Sony BRAVIA OLED.
  • The new Sony BRAVIA X94E Series (75″), BRAVIA X93E Series (55″), BRAVIA X85E Series (75″ and 65″) and BRAVIA A1 Series (65″ and 55″) TVs feature the new 4K HDR Processor X1 Extreme processor, which allows for Object-based HDR Remastering, Super Bit Mapping 4K HDR, and Dual Database Processing.
  • The Sony BRAVIA A1 Series (65″ and 55″) will boast the new Acoustic Surface technology, which allows the entire screen to resonate with greater sound output.
