No evidence Chance Gainer died from COVID-19 vaccine / heart attack!
It’s now tradition for anti-vaccination activists to blame all athlete deaths or illnesses on the COVID-19 vaccine.
Here are the reasons why this is yet another example of fake news created and propagated by anti-vaccine activists…
Fact #1 : Chance Gainer’s cause of death is not known
On Friday night, 6 September 2024, Chance Gainer collapsed during a Friday night game at Liberty County High School in Bristol, Florida.
Tim Davis, his school’s athletic director and vice principal, said, “He just went to the ground suddenly“. Coaches immediately rushed to his aid, and had a defibrillator, but when they realised the severity of the situation, they quickly waved over the ambulance and paramedics who were behind the goalpost.
According to Gulf County Superintendent Jim Norton, the EMTs did not detect a pulse when they first treated him, but detected a pulse before they put him on the ambulance. They rushed him to a hospital in Blountstown, where he was pronounced dead.
A GoFundMe page was created to help Chance Gainer’s family, and to pay for funeral expenses.
While some people have suggested or even claimed that Chance Gainer died of a heart attack, that’s not accurate – his cause of death has not been revealed as of 12 September 2024.
Until and unless his family, or the medical examiner, reveals his cause of death, anyone who tells you that Chance Gainer died from this or that cause of death is likely misinformed, or lying to you.

Fact #2 : Athletes are at higher risk of cardiac arrest
While athletes appears to be the epitome of healthy young people, many are at risk of dying from sudden cardiac arrest (SCA).
In fact, studies show that sudden cardiac arrest is the leading medical cause of death in young athletes. On average, about 2,000 young people in the United States (less than 24 years old) die from sudden cardiac arrest every year, and many do not have previously-known heart disease.
That’s why many states in the United States enacted laws requiring automated external defibrillators (AED) to be made available in health clubs, gyms, schools, and other public places.
Fact #3 : Unknown if Chance Gainer was vaccinated against COVID-19
Despite suggestions that Chance Gainer was fully-vaccinated, there isn’t any actual evidence that he ever received the COVID-19 vaccine. It is possible that Chance Gainer was unvaccinated against COVID-19, because the COVID-19 vaccine is not mandatory in the United States.
Ironically, many people who were injured or died suddenly were actually unvaccinated, like Kris Jordan, Aaron Carter, Kirstie Alley, Stephan Bonnar, Grayson Murray, Shane Macaulay, David Wayne Burleson, and Kaden Clymer.
Until and unless he (or his family) reveals his COVID-19 vaccination status, anyone who tells you that Chance Gainer was vaccinated or otherwise, is likely misinformed, or lying to you. None of us know that.

Fact #4 : Vaccine Side Effects Appear Within Hours / Days
Even if Chance Gainer was fully-vaccinated against COVID-19, he would have received his doses more than three years ago!
He cannot possibly have suffered from a vaccine side effect, because they appear within hours or days, not months later.
Mild side effects like injection site pain, fever, muscle ache, headache, lethargy develop within minutes to hours of the vaccination.
Anaphylaxis develops within minutes, while other severe adverse reactions like myocarditis and VITT develop within days or weeks.
The spike proteins produced by the COVID-19 vaccines also do not stick around for months. If these spike proteins are permanent (as antivaxxers claim), we would have lifelong immunity.
Your own immune system will identify the spike proteins as foreign, and destroy them within a matter of days, although some may last for up to a few weeks. This is part of how vaccines teach your immune system to identify the enemy and destroy it.
