You will NO LONGER be required to check-in using MySejahtera, or ensure physical distancing, in Malaysia!

Here is what you need to know!

MySejahtera Check-In + Physical Distancing Will Be Optional!

On 27 April 2022, the Malaysia Minister of Health Khairy Jamaluddin announced a wide range of COVID-19 liberalisation moves :

Starting Sunday, May 1, 2022, all individuals – irrespective of vaccination status – will NO LONGER be required to check in at premises using MySejahtera.

However, the Malaysia Ministry of Health strongly recommends that you turn on MySJ Trace, to allow for accurate contact tracing.

That does not mean you can uninstall MySejahtera, because premise owners are still required to check your status – COVID-19 positive individuals, and those who have to undergo HSO quarantine are still NOT allowed into public spaces.

In addition, MySejahtera is required to show digital proof of your COVID-19 vaccination for travel purposes, as well for reporting your COVID-19 self-tests.

MySejahtera Check-In + Social Distancing Will Be Optional!

As all economic activities will now be allowed with 100% venue capacity, physical distancing is NO LONGER required, starting Sunday, May 1, 2022.

However, the Ministry of Health strongly recommends physical distancing in crowded situations, especially if you are not wearing a face mask.
