If you do not get a booster dose by end of March, your vaccine status will change, but you will NOT lose your digital vaccine certificate!

Claim : No Booster, Lose Your Digital Vaccine Cert!
People are still falsely claiming that those who do not get their booster dose by end of March, will see their digital vaccine certificates deleted.
Their false claims are based on this message that went viral on WhatsApp earlier.
Next week the govt will wipe off the digital certs from the 2 million vaccinated people who refuse to take the 3rd booster.
In case Mysejahtera By MISTAKE also wipe ours off, it is suggested :
#Better screenshot your digital cert and the booster’s info on my sej now and keep it.
Next week MOH will clean up the vaccinated status for those who did not take the booster jab. They may mistakenly clear yours too.
Truth : No Booster = Only Vaccine Status Will Change, Not Digital Cert!
I had earlier fact checked it as fake news, but some people still insist that it’s true.
So let me say it once more – this is FAKE NEWS, and repeating it will not make it true!
Fact #1 : KKM Called It Fake News
On 28 March 2022, the Malaysia Ministry of Health (KKM) labelled the post as fake news.
They are a bit late to the game, but hey – at least, it’s official!
Fact #2 : Only Vaccination Status Will Change On 1 April 2022
The only thing that will change on 1 April 2022 is your MySejahtera vaccination status.
On 24 March 2022, the government announced that starting 1 April 2022, there will be four possible vaccination status in MySejahtera (from best to worst) :
- Boosted
- Fully Vaccinated
- Partially Vaccinated
- Unvaccinated
Approximately 2.37 million vaccinated people who refused to receive the booster dose will lose their Fully Vaccinated status. They will instead be downgraded to Partially Vaccinated.
For your convenience, here is a table summarising the COVID-19 vaccination status changes that will kick in on 1 April 2022 :

Fact #3 : Your Digital Vaccine Certificate Will Not Change
The digital vaccine certificate is a legal record that acknowledges and verifies that you have been vaccinated against COVID-19.
It not only lists the number of doses you have received, it also includes other details like the date of vaccinations, as well as vaccine manufacturer and batch.
The digital vaccine certificate does NOT include your vaccination status, and will not change unless you receive additional vaccine doses.
Fact #4 : Your Digital Vaccine Certificate Will Not Be Deleted
The government is NOT going to delete your digital vaccine certificate if you refuse the booster dose.
The digital vaccine certificate is a legal record of your COVID-19 vaccinations, and cannot be deleted even if you do not receive the booster dose.
It is like your SPM examination records. Just because you refuse to go to college, they cannot delete your SPM results.
If you refuse the booster dose, your digital vaccine certificate will remain with the two doses you took earlier.
You can, for example, continue to use your digital vaccine certificate to travel to countries that only require the primary series vaccination (without booster dose).
Fact #5 : You Can Download + Print Digital Vaccine Certificate
The viral advice also stupidly asks you to take a screenshot of the digital vaccine certificate.
Why do that when you already have the option to download a PDF copy, which you can save and print?
This PDF download option was introduced in MySejahtera months ago – in October 2021.
