Did Kelly Clarkson just die suddenly from a health condition?!

Take a look a look at the viral claims, and find out what the facts really are!

Claim : Kelly Clarkson Died Suddenly From A Health Condition!

Kelly Clarkson went viral on social media over the last week or so, after people started posting that the American singer and songwriter just died suddenly from a health condition!

It began in early December  2022, when a number of Facebook pages started posting messages of condolences for Kelly Clarkson. Here are two notable examples:

R.I.P. Kelly Clarkson

At about 11 a.m. ET on Thursday (February 02, 2023), our beloved singer Kelly Clarkson passed away. Kelly Clarkson was born on April 24, 1978 in Fort Worth. She will be missed but not forgotten. Please show your sympathy and condolences by commenting on and liking this page.

It then went viral when a Facebook page called R.I.P. Kelly Clarkson was created on Thursday, February 2, 2023, just to harvest almost a million page likes with the same viral message.

Truth : Kelly Clarkson Did Not Die Suddenly From A Health Condition!

This is yet another example of FAKE NEWS on Facebook that was created to harvest Likes, and here are there reasons why…

Fact #1 : No Announcement By Her Manager / Representative

First, let me just dispel the claim that her agent confirmed that Kelly Clarkson is not dead. At least two websites claiming to “fact check” her death claimed that this was the quote from her agent:

She joins the long list of celebrities who have been victimized by this hoax. She’s still alive and well, stop believing what you see on the Internet.

First of all, this quote was allegedly released on two different dates – December 7, 2022, and then on February 3, 2023.

Secondly, after Kelly Clarkson divorced her talent manager and husband. Brandon Blackstock, she did not publicly announced a new manager.

But most importantly, this same quote was used by alleged representatives of other celebrities who were victims of death hoaxes, like Chris Tucker and Fergie.

That suggests an intriguing possibility – that all these fake celebrity death claims on social media may be tied to celebrity blogs that “fact check” them. Perhaps, these death hoaxes were created to drive traffic to those celebrity blogs…

Fact #2 : Kelly Clarkson Is Still Active On Social Media

Whether she has a new manager or not, Kelly Clarkson is very much active on social media.

Just last week, she announced on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook that Atlantic Records celebrated its 75th anniversary by issuing a repress of her album, Meaning of Life, on a special clear vinyl! Quite an achievement for someone who reputedly died weeks earlier!

More recently, she posted a sponsored Instagram post on a storage piece / piano stool from the Kelly Clarkson Home line at Wayfair, on 1 February 2023.

Fact #3 : Kelly Clarkson Just Announced A Duet With Pink!

Then, on 3 February 2023 – the day she supposedly died suddenly from a health condition, Kelly Clarkson announced that she is teaming up with Pink for a full hour of conversations and performances on The Kelly Clarkson Show on Monday, 6 February 2023.

Kelly released a sneak preview of both singers singing together their rendition of Pink’s 2017 hit, “What About Us”. This duet comes ahead of the release of Pink’s Trustfall album on 17 February 2023.

Fact #4 : No Mention In Mainstream Media

The mainstream media has prepared obituaries for celebrities, and would be amongst the first to break the story.

Yet, not a single newspaper or news network like CNN / BBC, not even celebrity blogs like TMZ, broke the story that Kelly Clarkson died?

That’s because it never happened – Kelly Clarkson is very much still alive, and well.

Fact #5 : This Is Just Another Example Of Celebrity Fake News

This is yet another example of fake news created by rumour and fake news blogs to drive traffic and increase page views for ad money. Here are examples of other celebrity fake news that we debunked earlier:
