Truth : Kamala Harris Did Not Say “Today Is Today” In Viral Video!

This is yet another example of fake news about Kamala Harris, and here are the reasons why…

Fact #1 : Viral Videos Are Fake And Were Edited

Let me start by simply pointing out that the viral videos showing Kamala Harris speaking about “today”, “tomorrow”, and “the future” is fake, and was edited.

The fake video creator used a segment of a speech Kamala Harris gave on April 25, 2023, at Howard University in Washington D.C., and replaced the audio with a fake voice-over, which said:

Today is today and yesterday was today yesterday. Tomorrow will be today tomorrow. So, live today so the future today will be as the past today, as it is tomorrow.

Fact #2 : Viral Video Was Digitally Altered

The viral video has been digitally altered with a voice-over, and her lip movements synced to match the added audio.

Reuters spoke to Dr. Dominic Lees, an associate professor in filmmaking from the University of Reading, who confirmed that the video was “not authentic”:

“Close observers will detect the video ‘noise’ around the mouth,” he said, adding that the lack of background sound indicates the voice was not recorded at this location.

Indeed, if you look closely at her mouth, you can see visual artifacts. Her chin also appears to “drop off”, especially when Kamala Harris started to speak in the edited video clip.

Fact #3 : Audio Was Created By Estee Palti

Reuters traced the origin of the voice-over audio to TikTok user Estee Palti (@mommyrn88) who used it in this video.

Estee Palti, who does impersonations of Kamala Harris, publicly stated (archive) that the video was “doctored” using her voice.

The video is doctored. It is my voice someone made the video

To be clear – Palti isn’t responsible for these fake Kamala Harris videos. The fake video creators merely used her voice-over in their videos.
