The honor 5X was one of the most eagerly-awaited smartphones to hit the Malaysian market. After all, how many Android smartphones do you know has a metal chassis with a full HD display, a fast second-generation fingerprint sensor and a Qualcomm octa-core processor, and costs less than RM 950 (~US$ 220)?

If that’s not enough, it comes with a large 3,000 mAh battery and three different card slots — nano-SIM, micro-SIM, and microSD. This means you no longer need to make the difficult choice of either having extra storage, or an additional SIM for your second line. Both SIM slots are 4G enabled, and the microSD slot supports up to 128 GB of extra storage.

After honor Malaysia announced the prices and pre-order date, honor fans counted down to the day they could place their order for the new honor 5X smartphones. When the day came, they flooded the etailers with over 3,000 pre-orders of the honor 5X smartphones. And that was just on the special pre-order day.

These lucky fans have already received their honor 5X smartphones on the 19th of February. Those who were not fortunate enough to order on the special pre-order date can start purchasing the honor 5X from tomorrow, February 23, onwards.
