HUAWEI just launched the P40 Pro smartphone, featuring a 50MP Leica quad camera system!

HUAWEI P40 Pro : A Quick Primer
The HUAWEI P40 Pro is the middle brother of the new P40 family of smartphones. It has a 6.58-inch OLED display, with a resolution of 1200 x 2640 pixels, and a 90 Hz refresh rate.
It comes only in 5G variants, powered by the Kirin 990 5G. HUAWEI will offer it with 8 GB of memory, and storage options of 128 GB, 256 GB and 512 GB.
In front, it has a 32 MP camera, with a depth camera. But its marquee feature is its rear Leica quad-camera system, which consists of :
- a 50 MP main camera with f/1.9 aperture (OIS support),
- a 40 MP ultra-wide camera with f/1.8 aperture,
- a 12 MP telephoto camera with f/2.4 aperture (OIS support), and
- a 3D depth sensor
Powering all that is a large 4,200 mAh battery, which supports 40 watt HUAWEI SuperCharge wired charging.

The HUAWEI P40 Pro is available in selected markets, with a recommended retail price of €999 for the 8GB+256GB variant.
HUAWEI will offer five colour options – Black, Deep Sea Blue, Ice White, Silver Frost and Blush Gold.
