We had the opportunity to get some hands-on time with the HUAWEI Mate 40 Pro, and here is our unboxing experience!

 

HUAWEI Mate 40 Pro : A Quick Primer!

The HUAWEI Mate 40 Pro is the mainstream model in the HUAWEI Mate 40 series, with a 6.76-inch display that has a resolution of 1344 x 2772 pixels, a 90 Hz refresh rate and a 240 Hz touch sampling rate.

Built around the new Kirin 9000 – the world’s first 5nm 5G mobile platform, it comes with 8 GB LPDDR5 memory, 256 GB UFS 3.1 storage.

It has a 13 MP front camera with a 3D depth sensor, and a triple camera system that consists of :

  • a 50 MP main camera, with f/1.9 aperture,
  • a 20 MP ultra-wide camera, with f/1.8 aperture,
  • a 12 MP periscope camera with 5X optical zoom, and
  • a laser autofocus system.

All that is powered by a 4,400 mAh battery, with support for 66 watt wired charging and 50 watt wireless charging.

The HUAWEI Mate 40 Pro will be available in five colour options (from left to right) – Mystic Silver, White, Black, Green, Yellow.

It has a launch price of €1,199 with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage.
