HUAWEI Mate 40 Pro Plus : A Quick Primer!

The HUAWEI Mate 40 Pro Plus is the top-of-the-line model in the new Mate 40 series, with a slightly larger 6.76-inch display.

Built around the new Kirin 9000 – the world’s first 5 nm mobile platforms, it offers a new level of CPU, GPU and AI performance, with integrated 5G connectivity.

The HUAWEI Mate 40 Pro Plus is a slightly larger IP68-rated smartphone, with a 6.76-inch display and a resolution of 1344 x 2772 pixels.

Built around the Kirin 9000, it comes with 12 GB LPDDR5 memory, 256 GB UFS 3.1 storage, and a 4,400 mAh battery with support for 66 watt wired charging and 50 watt wireless charging.

It has a 13 MP front camera with a 3D depth sensor, and a quad camera system at the back that consists of :

  • a 50 MP main camera with f/1.9 aperture,
  • a 20 MP ultra-wide camera with f/2.4 aperture,
  • an 8 MP periscope camera with 10X zoom and f/4.4 aperture,
  • a 12 MP telephoto camera with 3X optical zoom and f/2.4 aperture, and
  • a ToF (Time of Flight) depth sensing camera.
