Does July 2022 Happen Once Every 823 Years?

Is July 2022 a once-in-a-lifetime event that happens once every 823 years?

Take a look at this viral claim, and find out what the FACTS really are!

Claim : July 2022 Happens Once Every 823 Years!

This is the viral claim that crops up almost every year, but gets a refresh every time it is shared on WhatsApp and social media…

This coming July cannot come in your lifetime again. Because July 2020 has 5 Fridays, 5 Saturdays, and 5 Sundays.

This happens only once every 823 years. The Chinese call it “silver pockets full” or “money bags”.

Send this to at least 5 people or 5 Groups and hopefully money will arrive within 5 days, based on Chinese Feng Shui.

Truth : July 2022 Does NOT Happen Once Every 823 Years!

The truth is – July 2022 is NOT a lifetime event that happens only once every 823 years.

It is true that July 2022 has 5 Fridays, 5 Saturdays and 5 Sundays… and this is repeated 823 years later.

However, July 2022 really isn’t special, because most years actually have a calendar month with 5 Fridays, 5 Saturdays and 5 Sundays :

  • July 2022
  • December 2023
  • March 2024
  • August 2025
  • May 2026

In fact, any 31-day month in any year that begins on a Friday, will have this combination of 5 Fridays, 5 Saturdays and 5 Sundays.

And don’t bother forwarding that fake message to your family or friends. There is no such Feng shui belief. After all, smartphones and instant messaging apps did not exist in Ancient China…
