The Frame (2020) by Samsung : For Art Lovers

The 2020 edition of The Frame is one of the three Samsung lifestyle televisions being introduced this year. The others being The Sero and The Serif.

The Frame is designed to appeal to art lovers, with a design that mimics the frame of an art piece. And it displays an art piece when you turn it off!

Samsung summarises The Frame 2020’s KSP (key selling point) very simply – TV when it’s on. Art when it’s off.

Frame-look Design

The Frame is designed with an elegant, modern frame-look design that will blend in with your decor.

Samsung also offers a choice of four bezel colours to customise The Frame 2020. They are locked in place by magnets, so it’s really easy to swap them out whenever the need arises.

Art Mode

Instead of turning into a blank screen, The Frame 2020 automatically displays your personal art collection when it’s turned off.

You can subscribe to the Samsung Art Store to access over 1,400 art pieces from famous artists and galleries including Museo del Prado, The Albertina, and Saatchi Art.

You can also display your personal works of art or photos, which can be transformed using its six built-in filters.

100% DCI-P3 Colour Volume

Thanks to Samsung Quantum Dot technology, The Frame 2020 delivers a full 100% DCI-P3 colour volume, as certified by Verband Deutscher Elektrotechniker (VDE).

It also boasts Dual LED technology to increase contrast based on backlight temperature for optimal colour tone.

No Gap Wall-Mount

Mounting on the wall using the Samsung No Gap Wall-Mount lets it look like a real work of art. And yet, it allows you to tilt it sideways, forwards or backwards.

One Invisible Connection

The Frame 2020 maintains its clean lines thanks to the One Invisible Connection, which eradicates the usual cable mess by using a single, thin almost invisible cable to connect to the One Connect Box.

Brightness + Motion Sensors

The Frame 2020 uses its brightness sensor to automatically optimise its brightness and colour tone for a natural look, irrespective of the lighting conditions.

Its motion sensor lets it detect your presence, to display artwork whenever you are in the room. And when you leave, it turns off to save electricity.

Adaptive Voice Amplifier (AVA)

The Frame 2020 monitors ambient noise levels in real-time to detect when they may interfere with your enjoyment.

When it gets noisy, it will isolate, boost and clarify voices or dialogue playing on the TV, so you won’t miss a thing.

Smart Connectivity

The Frame 2020 is a Smart TV with WiFi 5 (WiFi-AC) and Bluetooth 4.2 connectivity built-in.

This allows you to connect your smartphone or tablet to it, mirroring its display or streaming content from it.

You can control it using either the One Remote Control, or the SmartThings app, or by Bixby voice commands.
