Here is the SOP for travel into, out of, and through MCO and CMCO areas across Malaysia!
Make sure you apply for police permission using the forms below!
MCO + CMCO : Travel Restrictions Starting 13 January 2021
Areas Under MCO / PKP
Starting 13 January 2021, interstate and inter-district travel is FORBIDDEN in these eight states and territories under MCO (Movement Control Order).
- Penang
- Selangor
- Kuala Lumpur
- Putrajaya
- Labuan
- Johor
- Sabah
- Melaka
Interdistrict / interstate travel is allowed for emergencies like natural disasters, funerals and for healthcare reasons, but require police permission.
Areas Under CMCO / PKPB
Inter-district travel is ALLOWED, but interstate travel FORBIDDEN in these six states and territories under CMCO (Conditional Movement Control Order).
- Kedah
- Perak
- Negeri Sembilan
- Kelantan
- Terengganu
- Pahang

People who need to travel into, out of, or across MCO / PKP areas, must do this :
- Download this form for the MCO / PKP Travel Permit (Permit Pergerakan Perintah Kawalan Pergerakan)
- Print TWO (2) copies of the form, and fill in the required details.
- Send both copies of the completed form to the nearest police station for approval.
CMCO : Travel Application Form
People who need to travel into, out of, or across CMCO / PKPB areas, must do this :
- Download this form for the CMCO / PKPB Travel Permit (Permit Pergerakan Perintah Kawalan Pergerakan Bersyarat)
- Print TWO (2) copies of the form, and fill in the required details.
- Send both copies of the completed form to the nearest police station for approval.
COVID-19 : How To Keep Safe During MCO!
Here are a few simple steps to stay safe :
- Avoid suspected cases or disease hotspots, like hospitals, if possible!
- Avoid public events and crowds
- Keep our hands clean with soap or hand sanitiser
- If you need to wear a surgical mask, make sure you put it on and remove it properly!
