OPPO always banked on celebrity power to draw attention to their smartphones, and the OPPO F7 launch was no different. This time, they brought on not just local celebrity Neelofa, but also Taiwanese actress and singer (formerly of S.H.E.) Hebe Tien 田馥甄!

Introducing The New OPPO F7 Smartphone

The launch event kicked off with a dance routine, before OPPO Branding Director, Nikki Chen, gave her opening presentation.

The OPPO F7 is the latest Selfie Expert smartphone, with improved “Artificial Intelligence” capabilities, and a new 25 MP selfie camera! Here is the full presentation by OPPO Product Specialist, Ray Wong!

25MP X Real-Time HDR Sensor

The OPPO F7 features a high-resolution 25 MP front camera with real-time High Dynamic Range (HDR) sensor. Images taken with the F7 will have a higher range of detail, luminance and colour levels. The user will also have a lot more control over the photos taken with this new selfie camera.

A.I. Beauty 2.0 Technology

The OPPO F7 comes with the second-generation A.I. Beauty 2.0 technology that has more accurate facial recognition, and better beautification effects for gender and age.

It also scans 296 facial recognition points – a 20% improvement, allowing for more precise and accurate facial recognition. Now, a person’s age, gender, skin color and skin type differences can be detected for up to four individual subjects in much greater detail.

Super Full Screen 2.0 with 19:9 Aspect Ratio

The OPPO F7 comes with a 6.2-inch FHD+ display with a resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels. This gives it a 19:9 aspect ratio, with a notch incorporating the front camera, brand-new antenna and light sensor.

Industrial Design

The OPPO F7 has a new industrial design to appeal to young users, with three colour options – Solar Red, Moonlight Silver and a special Diamond Black edition.

There is also a 128GB Special Edition model that comes in Sunrise Red and Diamond Black. It uses a unique glass body that shimmers like gemstones, reflecting different colours.

OPPO F7 Price + Availability

The OPPO F7 is priced at RM 1,399 / ~US$ 359, with first availability on 21 April 2018. The OPPO F7 128 GB Special Edition is priced at RM 1,699 / ~US$ 436.
