Most people think that projectors are for work only, but they are popular amongst home theatre enthusiasts, because they can deliver a large cinematic display at a low cost. To that end, BenQ just introduced their new BenQ W1700 4K HDR projector that is designed for the home cinema experience.
The BenQ W1700 4K HDR Projector
The new BenQ W1700 4K HDR projector offers 8.3 million pixels for true UHD 4K resolution, using the single-DMD DLP technology. It also boasts their CinematicColor accuracy with HDR10 support, offering greater brightness and contrast ratio.
The BenQ W1700 employs the BenQ CinematicColor technology, and the RGBRGB colour wheel, to deliver authentic cinematic colours. It actually boasts over 96% coverage of the Rec. 709 colour gamut, with precise Delta E<3 performance.
The BenQ W1700 also employs the proprietary CinemaMaster Video+ and CinemaMaster Audio+ 2 technologies to turn the living room into cinema auditoriums. CinemaMaster Video+ adds motion-adaptive edge pixel enhancement, colour algorithms and beautiful skin tone redition, while CinemaMaster Audio+ 2 delivers resonant bass and accurate high notes.
Equipped with auto keystone correction and 1.2X zoom, the BenQ W1700 can be set up to accommodate 4K movie nights in a reasonably large room.
The BenQ W1700 is easy to set-up. Just connect a HDMI dongle like Google Chromecast or Amazon Fire TV Stick to instantly stream TV shows, movies and even games to the big screen!
