New 2022 School Rotation Details For Malaysia!

The Malaysia Ministry of Education (KPM) just announced changes to school rotation for early 2022!

Primary Schools

This applies to private and international schools as well.

No Rotation With Rotation
Special Needs (SKPK/PPKI)
Pre-School
Standard 1
Standard 2
Standard 6
All RMT (Food Supplement Program) Students
Standard 3
Standard 4
Standard 5

Secondary Schools

* Only for schools with 90% or higher vaccination rates. Otherwise, these classes must continue with rotation.

This applies to private and international schools as well.

No Rotation With Rotation
Special Needs (SMKPK/SMPKV/PPKI)
Remove Classes *
Form 4 *
Form 5 *
Form 6 *
Pre-University *
IBDP *
Equivalent International Exams *
Form 1
Form 2
Form 3

Schools With Fewer Than 300 Students

No Rotation
Daily and private schools, including expatriate schools
with enrolment of less than 300 students
Expatriate schools with more than 300 students can
apply to KPM to operate fully

Full Boarding Schools

Full boarding private schools are allowed to operate face-to-face classes without rotation.

Other 2022 School Details For Malaysia!

In addition to the school rotation details, the Malaysia Ministry of Education (KPM) also announced that :

  • Students will be allowed to wear appropriate and neat clothes, if their existing school uniforms do not fit.
  • Parents or guardians can choose not to send their children to school – this is not considered a disciplinary offence.
    However, parents or guardians must inform the schools of that decision, for record purposes.
  • KPM will only announce on 3 January 2022, whether schools affected by floods can resume operations.
