The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 SUPER graphics card won’t be available for a few more weeks. But it offers a massive boost over the current GeForce GTX 1650 non-SUPER card.

A few months after launching the RTX SUPER family of graphics cards, NVIDIA has finally unleashed the GTX SUPER series!

GeForce Product Manager Justin Walker briefed us on the GTX 1650 SUPER, as well as the GTX 1660 SUPER, in an exclusive pre-launch briefing, which we prepared for you here, including a short Q&A session :

 

The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 SUPER

The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 SUPER is not just an overclocked version of the GeForce GTX 1650. Instead, it uses the larger and faster NVIDIA TU116-300 GPU which powers the GTX 1660.

In addition to gaining 16 more CUDA cores, the GTX 1650 SUPER will have higher clock speeds and 50% faster GDDR6 memory!

Here is how it compares against the existing Turing-based GTX cards, and the GTX 1660 SUPER :

From what we have seen, we believe the GTX 1650 SUPER will not replace the existing GTX 1650. Instead, it will act as the GTX 1650 Ti that some suggested would be released this month.

How Fast Is The GTX 1650 SUPER?

The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 SUPER is targeted at 1080p esports gaming.

Here is a quick and dirty performance comparison provided by NVIDIA, showing the GTX 1650 SUPER delivering up to 2X better than the GTX 1050.

 

NVIDIA GTX 1650 SUPER Price + Availability

The GeForce GTX 1650 SUPER will only be available from 22 November 2019 onwards. Its starting price will be revealed in November.

Like the GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER, it will only be available from NVIDIA board partners. There will be NO Founders Edition for either cards.

 

Greatly Increased TDP

As mentioned before, the GeForce GTX 1650 SUPER is more than just an overclocked GTX 1650. Using the larger TU116 GPU running at higher clock speeds, it uses 25 watts more power, with a 100 watt TDP.
