3rd Gen Ryzen 4000 Mobile Family : An Overview

The 3rd Gen Ryzen 4000 Mobile processor family comes in three product line-ups :

  • PRO-series for professional laptops
  • 45 watt H-series for high-performance laptops, and
  • 15 watt U-series for low-power ultra-thin laptops.

All three series boasts the same architectural features :

  • Built on the 7nm process technology
  • 512 KB L2 cache per core
  • 4 MB L3 cache for 2 / 4-core parts
  • 8 MB L3 cache for 6 / 8-core parts
  • LPDDR4x memory support
  • Integrated Radeon Vega Graphics (5 to 8 cores)
  • support AMD SmartShift

  • Designed for ultra-thin business laptops, with 8 cores and 16 threads
  • Up to 33% better multi-threaded performance than the competition
  • Up to 2.2X better graphics performance than the competition
  • Up to 2X better performance per watt over previous generation

AMD Ryzen 5 PRO 4650U

  • Designed for ultra-thin business laptops, with 6 cores and 12 threads
  • Up to 2X better multi-threaded performance than the competition
  • Up to 2.3X better graphics performance than the competition
  • Up to 2X better performance per watt over previous generation

AMD Ryzen 3 PRO 4550U

  • Designed for ultra-thin business laptops, with 4 cores and 8 threads
