AMD Radeon RX 5700 : F1 2019 + World War Z Performance

F1 2019
F1 2019 is a really new racing game by Codemasters, released on 28 June 2019.
We tested it on three resolutions at the Ultra High settings :
- 1080p : 1920 x 1080
- 1440p : 2560 x 1440
- 2160p : 3840 x 2160
1080p Gaming Resolution
At 1080p, the RX 5700 matched the Vega 64 and RTX 2060 SUPER in performance, and was 10% faster than the Vega 56 and RTX 2060.
1440p Gaming Resolution
The RX 5700 did even better at the higher 1440p resolution, matching the RTX 2060 SUPER in performance, and was 13% faster than the RTX 2060, the Vega 64 and the Vega 56.
2160p Gaming Resolution
At 4K, it maintained its 13% performance lead over the RTX 2060 and Vega 64 graphics cards, and its performance parity with the RTX 2060 SUPER.

World War Z
Based on the 2013 movie, World War Z is a relatively new third-person shooter game, released in April 2019.
We tested it on three resolutions using the Vulkan API at the Ultra High settings :
- 1080p : 1920 x 1080
- 1440p : 2560 x 1440
- 2160p : 3840 x 2160
Note : This game is known to be highly optimised for AMD Radeon cards.
1080p Gaming Resolution
At 1080p, World War Z was CPU-limited even with the new AMD Ryzen 7 3700X processor.
The AMD Radeon RX 5700 tied with the GeForce RTX 2060 Super, the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti, the Radeon RX Vega 64 and the Radeon RX Vega 56.
1440p Gaming Resolution
When we kicked up the resolution, the Radeon RX 5700 and Radeon RX Vega 64 actually beat the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti by 10%, and the new RTX 2060 Super by 11%!
The amount of AMD optimisation is just crazy. Even the Vega 56 beat the GTX 1080 Ti by 5.5%, and the RTX 2060 Super by 7%!
2160p Gaming Resolution
When we increased the resolution to 4K though, it took a hit and was now slower than the GTX 1080 Ti, Vega 64 and Vega 56.
However, it matched the RTX 2060 Super in performance, and they were both 17% faster than the RTX 2060.
