Synthetic Game Test – 3DMark
We used 3DMark’s Time Spy and Time Spy Extreme synthetic benchmarks, which offers a great approximation of gaming performance in general.
The Time Spy and Time Spy Extreme benchmarks support DirectX 12, and the latest features like asynchronous compute, and multi-threading support.
Time Spy – 2560 x 1440
In the Time Spy test, the RX 5700 just edged out the GeForce RTX 2060 by 3%; but was 10% faster than the Vega 64, and 22% faster than the Vega 56.
Let’s see how much of an effect they have on the overall gaming score…
The RX 5700 was just under 3% faster than the GeForce RTX 2060; and was 8% faster than the Vega 64, and 19% faster than the Vega 56.
Time Spy Extreme – 3840 x 2160
At the higher 4K resolution, the RX 5700 virtually tied with the GeForce RTX 2060 and Vega 64, but was about 14% faster than the Vega 56.
And here are their overall gaming scores at 4K…
Again, the RX 5700 tied with the GeForce RTX 2060 and Vega 64, but this time, it was just 12% faster than the Vega 56.
