At the launch of Acer Day 2019, Acer unveiled the 2019 Acer Aspire 5 laptops, which have been refreshed with NVIDIA GeForce MX250 graphics, and new Intel Core processor options.

The 2019 Acer Aspire 3 / 5 Laptops

The 2019 Acer Aspire 3 and Aspire 5 laptops are designed for mainstream users, at very affordable price points.

Let’s start with a product presentation by Jeffrey Lai, Acer Malaysia’s Senior Product Manager.

 

The 2019 Acer Aspire 5

Like its predecessor, the 2019 Acer Aspire 5 has a 14-inch IPS display, with a Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. However, it is now 10% smaller and 16.7% lighter!

Thanks to an aluminium top cover, it offers a premium look and feel in a thin chassis that weighs just 1.45 kg. It also comes with a backlit keyboard, which allows you to work even in dimly-lit conditions.

Acer is initially releasing four different 2019 Aspire 5 models, three powered by the Intel Core i5-8265U processor, and one powered by the Intel Core i7-8565U processor.

The 2019 Acer Aspire 5 Price + Availability

The 2019 Aspire 5 is available with an Intel Core i7 processor (A514-52G-72WC) with immediate effect for RM 3,099 / ~US$746 / ~£615 / ~A$1,098.

The Core i5 models (A514-52G-586W, A514-52G-58D7, A514-52G-58NY) are priced at RM 2,499 / ~US$601 / ~£496 / ~A$855, and will be available by the end of August 2019.

The Core i3 model, price yet unknown, will also be available at the end of August as well.

The Core i5 and Core i3 models will be available in Pure Silver, Indigo Blue and Charcoal Black colours.
