The 2018 Acer Predator Gaming Laptops

Acer introduced three new Acer Predator gaming laptops – the 2018 Acer Predator Helios 500, the 2018 Acer Predator Helios 300, and the 2018 Acer Nitro 5. They also introduced the Acer Predator Aethon 500 gaming keyboard and the Acer Predator RGB Mousepad.

The 2018 Acer Predator Helios 500 is designed for graphics-intensive AAA titles with its overclockable NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 GPU. The Intel Core i9 model (with 32 GB RAM and 512 GB RAID 0 SSD) will cost RM 12,999 / ~US$ 3,249; while the Intel Core i7 model (with 16 GB RAM and 256 GB SSD) will cost RM 8,999 / ~US$ 2,249.

The 2018 Acer Predator Helios 300 is a smaller 15.6″ gaming laptops, powered by the 8th Gen Intel Core processor, with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 graphics. It comes with a 128 GB NVMe SSD and a 1 TB HDD.

The 2018 Acer Nitro 5, on the other hand, packs an 8th Gen Intel Core i7+ processor, with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti graphics.

The Acer Predator Aethon 500 gaming keyboard (priced at RM 729 / ~US$ 182) has Kailh Blue switches, individual RGB backlighting, and all-key rollover capability.

The Acer Predator RGB Mousepad (RM 249 / ~US$ 62) has RGB lighting (obviously!) with a low-friction surface and non-slip silicone base. It also comes with a gold-plated USB connector with a braided cord.

 

The 2018 Acer Predator Gaming Desktops

Acer introduced two new gaming desktop PCs – the 2018 Acer Predator Orion 5000, and the 2018 Acer Nitro 50.

The 2018 Acer Predator Orion 5000 is designed for gamers who want an adaptable chassis for future expansion. It is powered by the 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8700 processor and up to two NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 GPUs in SLI! It retails for RM 7,899 / ~US$ 1,975.

The 2018 Acer Nitro 50 is a compact gaming PC ideal for esports enthusiasts. It is powered by the 8th Gen Intel Core i7 processor and the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 graphics card. Acer also offers it with an optional Qi wireless charging pad. It retails for RM 4,239 / ~US$ 1,060.

 

The New Acer Predator Gaming Monitors

The Acer Predator X27 is finally here! Priced at RM 9,999 / ~US$ 2,499, it is the ultimate gaming and professional monitor combined. They also introduced the Acer Nitro VG240Y and Acer Nitro VG270 gaming monitors, as well as the Acer Predator Z312QU curved gaming monitor, and the Acer XZ321Q curved gaming monitor.

The Acer Predator X27 monitor features Quantum Dot technology, with the new NVIDIA G-SYNC HDR technology. It boasts the ability to deliver 4K resolution at an amazing 144 Hz refresh rate!

Professional users will love its 99% Adobe RGB colour gamut and the Delta E (ΔE) of less than 1. It also comes with a Predator Shield with reduces glare and incident lighting from your surroundings, and a 3-year on-site warranty.

The Acer Predator Z312QU has a 31.5″ curved VA panel that has a 1440p resolution and supports NVIDIA G-SYNC. It boasts a refresh rate of up to 165 Hz! It will retail for RM 2,999 / ~US$ 750.

The Acer XZ321Q gaming monitor, on the other hand, is an AMD FreeSync monitor with a 31.5″ curved VA panel and a full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It has a refresh rate of up to 144 Hz. It will retail for RM 1,499 / ~US$ 375.
