Malaysia : Negative List Business Activities Will Be Allowed!

On 27 April 2022, the Malaysia Minister of Health Khairy Jamaluddin announced a wide range of COVID-19 liberalisation moves :

Starting Sunday, May 15, 2022, all business activities currently in the Negative List will be permitted to resume, pending protocols by the respective authorities.

Currently, the only business activity still on the Negative List of forbidden business activities are night club or pub activities

This will be a relief for night club and pub owners who have had to shut down their main business activities for over two years.

In addition, business premises are allowed to operate at 100% venue capacity, and both MySejahtera check-in and physical distancing will no longer be required.

However, please note that this will only take effect on May 15, and not May 1 like the other COVID-19 liberalisation announced by the government.
