The AMD Radeon R9 Nano Technology Report
On the 1st of July, 2015, we were invited to a closed session with AMD for the official launch of the AMD Radeon R9 Fury X graphics card. During that event, we were given some hands-on time with samples of the upcoming Radeon R9 Fury X2 as well as the Radeon R9 Nano. We even had the opportunity to check out the actual Fiji GPUs that power them!
Today, we are excited to announce that the wait for the AMD Radeon R9 Nano is over. AMD is officially announcing its launch today!
Earlier this afternoon, we had a conference call with AMD, which we recorded in order to create this special presentation for you. We hope you enjoy our work!

The AMD Radeon R9 Nano Revealed
For those who prefer to read, we have also prepared the presentation slides for your perusal. Let's take a look!
As everyone already knows by now, the AMD Radeon R9 Nano is a very short graphics card. Using a 6" PCB, it is 40% shorter than the AMD Radeon R9 290X graphics card. There is no doubt that for a graphics card of this class, there is nothing more compact.
Its compact size is not its only feature. It actually boasts the full Fiji GPU with 4,096 stream processors. That is why it is up to 30% faster than the AMD Radeon R9 290X graphics card!
Even though it uses a much larger and more powerful GPU, the AMD Radeon R9 Nano will run 20°C cooler than the AMD Radeon R9 290X!
